Error POV
We were on the plane back home. Two hours away. Ink just looks terrified and Zephyr decided to stay there.
I wanted to say something but, I had nothing to say.
"When we get back, I think I'm gonna drop out." She said.
"What? Why?" I asked.
"I'm failing all my classes, I wouldn't be able to graduate anyway, I'm not smart. Let's just face it, school just, won't work out for me." She answered.
I sighed.
"If that's what you want..."
She hugged me. I hugged back. She smiled as I held her. It was nice.
We got back and my mom was happy to see me and Geno. Reaper came with us to. They'd worked out the obsession issue, well, mostly.
Christmas is soon and I was right, there was snow everywhere. I wanted to give Inky one of her gifts early.
"Hey, Error, how does this Christmas thing work?" She asked.
I explained best I could. She understood some of it like the presents and Christmas tree. She was really confused about the being cheerful part. Why?
I gave her her gift. It was a small one but, it'd be enough until Christmas.
"What's this?" She asked.
"One of your gifts! There's more but-"
She started crying.
"What's wrong!?" I asked.
"I...n-nobody's ever done this for me before... I-I don't know how to... respond?"
I smiled, hugged her, and kissed her cheek.
"Open it."
"But... I don't have anything for you yet."
"You don't need to get me anything just open it. Please!" I begged.
She laughed and opened the small box. It wasn't much, just a sort of locket but in ring form.
"You can put a picture in it see? Any picture you want."
She kissed me.
"Thank you. It's very pretty."
She put it on and hugged me again. I smiled and picked her up. She laughed as I spun her around our room.
My mom walked in, smiled with us, and watched.
I put Inky down and held her.
"I mom." I said, resting my chin on Ink's shoulder.
"You two are adorable together!" She said. "Anyway, I wanted to know if you two wanted to go downtown to see some lights. Maybe get dinner?" She asked.
I looked at Ink.
"Yeah ok."
"Sounds good."
"Great. Come on."
