~Chapter 8~
Three Days Later. . .
Tommy rubbed the wolf's head as he walked towards the entrance to the ravine in the early afternoon. He had been making the dog army as Techno had planned, already gaining a good amount of ten dogs. They were loyal, and Tommy had decided to name the first dog he had found. He had named it Dove, seeing as its white fur was somehow more white than the other wolves, that and the fact it was ridiculously fluffy.
Tommy had put a blue-collar on the dog, a name tag hanging off of it. He walked down the stairs as he brought the newest addition to its new home. Tommy had settled down near the other dogs, watching as the new addition trotted over towards the other animals in the room. It's been peaceful since Techno and Philza left, the blond quickly shaking that weird dream out of his head, convincing himself it was nothing but a, well, weird dream. Now he planted more TNT under L'manburg, along with growing his dog army.
He sighed, making his way down the hall to the bedrooms, too tired to even think of eating some kind of lunch. He needed sleep since he hadn't the other night. With a yawn, he pushed the door open but stopped when a crow's caw entered his ears, along with the wolves loud barking. He looked down the hall again, tired eyes squinting in confusion. Why would a crow be down here? He took his hand away from the doorknob, making his way back down to the main room to see a crow aimlessly flapping around the room, some type of note attached to its leg.
It was one of Philza's crows. Tommy wanted to ignore the crow's existence after this realization, thinking that maybe Phil was trying to get some type of normal relationship started again. But then again, what if it was something important? With an irritated sigh he lifted his arm, watching as the black bird dived for the landing spot.
Tommy quickly took the note from the bird's leg, letting the crow jump off his arm and back into the air. It made a few loops around the room before leaving, the dogs barking now quieting. Tommy looked at the rolled-up note in his hand, debating if he should actually open it or not. He sighed, unrolling the note to read the message inside.
Tommy, Technoblade is in trouble, the Butcher army is trying to execute him. They had demanded I let them go through my things, and when they found the compass that leads to Techno's house they put me under house arrest. I can't go and help him, and they have already left to bring him to L'manburg. If they succeed to bring Technoblade to L'manburg, I have a feeling you and I might be his last hope of survival. Please, come and help.
Philza
Tommy has read the message twice now, wondering how this butcher army would even manage to defeat someone like Technoblade, let alone bring him to L'manburg. But then again, they could manage to defeat Techno, and maybe even somehow bring the man to L'manburg. Tommy knew either way he's going to L'manburg, to either see the Butcher army come back empty-handed and defeated or to see them bring the piglin hybrid to his execution. He couldn't risk Techhnoblade dying, and the only reason he was agreeing to help save Techno was because Tommy needed him for his plan. He could care less about the man. Crumpling up the paper in his hand, the blond sighed, looking towards his sword and thinking. He had a lot of planning to do in very little time.
Four Hours Later. . .
Tommy crawled to the edge of a building's roof in L'manburg, blue eyes fixed on the scene below him. It was almost laughable to the avian, how Technoblade looked almost defeated in the situation he was in. Cuffs bound his hands together, the warrior being dragged along the path by a very triumphant-looking Quackity, the other avian showing off the piglin as if he was a trophy of some type. Tommy looked down towards his hand, an ender pearl appearing in his palm. He was prepared, grabbing everything the teen could think of.
He had many strength potions on the ready, invisibility as well in case he and Techno needed an easy escape, and some weakness potions to throw at the others if necessary. He had grabbed the best sword he had on hand, along with any good armor he had in possession as well. The Butcher army was taking the newly captured Techno to what looked like a cage. It had a lovely anvil hanging above it, threatening to fall on top of the pinkette at any moment.
It didn't take long for a crowd to start, L'manburg residents looking at the pigling in curiosity or fear. Tubbo stood before them, a smooth-looking suit on him and a serious and collected expression on his face. It made Tommy angry to see him like that, knowing that while he was suffering the unimaginable the new president was ignoring his very existence, trying to pretend that everything was fine when in reality everything was slowly crumbling to pieces before him.
His grip on the ender pearl grew, gritting his teeth as he stared at his ex-best friend. The goat hybrid began an unnecessary speech about how techno was brought to L'manburg to receive a fair punishment for his wrongdoing towards L'manburg. Which for whatever reason, was death. He stood up as the speech neared its end, blue eyes looking down at the scene before him with little emotion, if any at all. As Tubbo turned around to give the cue to execute Techno, Tommy threw his ender pear down onto the stage. People already began to panic before Tommy even teleported to the stage, seeing the ender pearl hit the stage and smash was enough for them.
Tommy was already on the move before any of the Butcher army could process what was happening. The blond swung his sword with purpose, his weapon hitting Quackity as the avian squawked in surprise. That doesn't mean that Quackity didn't fight back, his eyes burning in anger as he summoned his own sword to battle. In the chaos, he saw Philza jump off of his balcony like a mad person, sword in hand and quickly making his way towards Tommy to help. Tommy never thought he'd be so happy to see the other before. As his blade met Quackity's, their eyes met. The avian didn't miss how the raven faltered, his eyes shining in surprise as he seemed to try and get something out of his throat.
Tommy took his shock as an opening, shoving his knee forward and into the other's stomach, watching as the other stumbled back hunched over in pain. Tommy looked over towards Technoblade to see the piglin hybrid trying to get out of the cage, his blue eyes glowing with red anger. The blond swiftly made his way towards the bars, grabbing on before coming up with a plan. "Back up!" Tommy yelled, moving back himself before swinging his sword behind his back. Techno got the hint, jumping back as Tommy swung the blade towards the metal in an attempt to break the bars. A huge clank filled the air, and due to the chaos, not many on the stage noticed, too busy trying to fight off a pissed Philza.
One person did, and in anger jolted into action to try and stop the intruder from freeing the captured villain. Tommy was viciously stabbed in the side, gasping in surprise as he lost hold of his weapon and fell to the ground in pain. He scrambled for the weapon, trying to ignore all protests his body gave from his actions as anger flared up in his chest. A foot stomped down onto his hand making the teen flinch in pain. He looked up, his blue eyes meeting Tubbo's angry green.
Tommy remembered when those green eyes held nothing but pure happiness, making even Tommy believe that everything was how it was supposed to be. It didn't take long for those eyes to turn into surprise, even shock. Tommy ripped his hand from under Tubbo, watching the goat hybrid try and regain his balance as Tommy grabbed his weapon.
He faced Tubbo again, a snarl on his face. "Tommy?" Tubbo's voice was uncertain, making Tommy only tighten his grip on his sword. The blond didn't dare to answer, only going to attack the other again.
Tubbo was even more surprised, his green eyes widening as he quickly blocked the other teen's attack. His blue eyes met Tubbo's sad green, and as if his eyes communicated everything Tommy wished he could scream at the other, Tubbo's eyes teared up. Tommy made another attack, his leg swinging forward as his foot kicked Tubbo's knee in. A huge crack filled the area, along with a scream of pure pain coming from Tubbo. Technoblade stepped into view as Tubbo fell to the ground, desperately grabbing for his very out-of-place and weirdly bent leg.
The pinkette stared down at the president, his fists tightening as if he was trying to force himself not to do something stupid. The blond watched as Techno punched Tubbo in the face, knocking the teen out instantly. Tommy's eyes met Techno's angry blue. Before the older brother could speak Tommy fished out invisibility potions for him and Technoblade, watching as Philza knocked poor Fundy onto his ass with fury-filled eyes. Yeah, Tommy believed that Philza would find his own way out of the battle zone quite fine.
"I brought invis potions, let's get out of here." Tommy said quickly, shoving one of the bottles into the olders hands. Technoblade looked towards Philza, who was still letting his anger out on the butcher army- or at least the members that were still conscious.
"Yeah, agreed." Techno grumbles, gulping down the invis potion with little hesitance. "Let's head to my cabin, I doubt that they would dare come on my property now." He heard the piglin walking away, sighing as he ran through the chaos to get out of L'manburg. When he made it to the portal to the nether it didn't take long for the invisibility position to wear off, relief filling the teen as Technoblade also became visible at Tommy's side.
Tommy made steps towards the portal, much like Techno had, but faltered as his vision got more blurry. He paused, his breathing turning more forced before he looked towards his pained side. Blood covered his side, blood still dripping out of the huge wound as he stood. Tommy looked towards Technoblade, fuzzy-looking eyes staring into Techno's own concerned ones.
"Techno...?" Before he could truly react, he was falling over, Technoblade's wide eyes and his form moving towards the collapsing teen the last thing the avian sees. Tommy lets darkness take hold of him once again with little hesitance.
Damn, he really just passed out, didn't he?
