~Chapter 1~

Tommy stood in a vast flower field, stretching for as far as the eye could see. Tommy breathed in the sweet air around him, his blue eyes taking in the beautiful scene before him. Where was he? "Tommy?" The blond's eyes widened at the familiar voice, his whole body seizing any movement. "Tommy, w-why are you here?" Slowly he turned around, his eyes meeting Wilbur's worried brown. "Oh Tommy..." Wilbur's expression only held sorrow as he stared at his little brother. "It's not your time yet, little bird."

Tommy's lip wobbled at the olders words, and with little hesitation rushed forwards towards the other brother. Wilbur opened his arms quickly, letting the avian tackle him into a tight hug, and if Tommy wasn't mistaken the older was holding Tommy just as tight.

"I miss you." He whispered out, his fists balling Wilbur's trenchcoat between his fingers. "I-I can't-"

"Toms..." Tommy shook his head no, burying his face into Wilbur's chest.

"Don't make me go back, I can't do this anymore!" After a few seconds Wilbur pulled away, his eyes meeting Tommy's wet ones. His brown eyes were dark, pain filling them to the brim as he took in his little brother.

"I'm sorry Tommy, but you have to go back." he choked up as he spoke. "I'm sorry..." Tommy shook his head no, his crying growing worse. Wilbur started wiping the tears away only frowning at his brother's reaction. "I'm sorry for leaving you alone, I'll never do that again." Tommy only sobbed harder.

"Your dead Wilbur! You'll never be there for me again!" The brunette brought the young teen into another tight hug.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry Tommy." Wilbur's words didn't stop Tommy's tears, the teen feeling too miserable to care. "I'm watching over you, I'll guide you... I'll stop you from hurting ok?" Tommy held onto Wilbur tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"Please don't leave me alone again."

"I won't, I promise." After those last words were exchanged everything around Tommy dulled, making the teen look up towards his older brother who bittersweetly smiled back at him. "It's ok... everything's ok." The world went black once again.

Tommy's blue eyes slowly opened, his vision blurry even as he woke up. He sat up slowly, wincing at the pain be felt on his back. He didn't understand why his back felt lighter right away, then it hit him. He reached back hoping to feel the feathers of his wings, only to meet his bloody back instead. He was frozen, his eyes staring at the bloody ground below him in horror.

No, this wasn't happening to him... he was sleeping... a nightmare, yeah, this was a nightmare. Tommy sniffled, removing his bloody hand from his back as he curled in on himself. This wasn't a dream, he knew that. He looked behind himself, seeing the bloody appendages that were his wings. They sat on the grassy floor unmoving, covered in blood and smearing it onto the ground below it. It was a horrible sight to see.

He crawled over to them, his hands going to grip the feathers that once carried him in the sky. Yes, this was a nightmare, but not one Tommy would wake up from. Why did the universe hate him? What had he done to deserve such pain? He couldn't help but grit his teeth, anger and grief filling his body. He cried, he didn't care if he was still bleeding out, he didn't care if he looked pathetic, slumped over his severed limbs gripping them like they would run away from him.

He didn't care, he was angry, angry at the world for damning him to a life of hell, he was angry over being exiled again, he was angry that Tubbo, who was supposed to be his best friend and someone that was supposed to stay by his side, had let this happen to him.

His eyes, usually dull and sad, were ablaze with anger and hatred. He was done with Dream, he was done letting people hurt him, he was done with L'manburg and how much pain that place alone had brought him.

"It's a place that only holds sorrow and fear now, Tommy." Wilbur had said, his brown eyes dull as he spoke. "It's brought grief even to us, hasn't it." Wilbur looked at Tommy before he continued. "It's not the place I built, L'manburg not the place that you and I loved."

How right Tommy realized Wilbur was. The place he had once called home was no more than a breeding house for the chaos and sadness that now plagued the SMP. He wished he hadn't been so blind in the beginning, listened to Wilbur. But he had hoped that L'manburg wasn't a lost cause, that what he had fought so hard for was still salvageable. But he knew that L'manburg was always meant to fall, and they had only delayed its downfall.

"I-I'm aorry Wilbur... I should have listened to you." He whispered out, he knew his brother couldn't hear him but he could hope that his words would travel into the afterworld to reach his ears. "Please forgive me." He wiped his tears away vigorously, looking towards the now-destroyed nether portal. "I'll finish what you started... I'll do what should have been done." But he was stuck in exile, he wasn't going to be able to leave, at least not with Dream around.

He slowly stood up, forcing his hands to let go of his grip on his limp wings. It hurt looking at the lumps of feathers, they had once been his pride and joy, the only thing Tommy could call his. Now they lay on the ground rotting in front of him. His bloody fists balled, his angry eyes glaring towards the broken nether portal. He hated Dream, he's hated him since the beginning, but Dream had sealed his fate by cutting his wings off.

He shook in rage, teeth grinding together as he let his blurry eyes wander. He needed to take care of his wounds before he died, he didn't even know how he was alive with wounds like these... especially if Dream had left him bleeding the way he did. Even now he could feel blood trickling down his back, only making the young avian want to throw up. He stumbled the way he used to keep his medical supplies, wincing at the pain his back was in.

Two Hours Later. . .

Once he managed to stitch up his bleeding wounds, realizing Dream had ripped out whatever was left of his wing out of Tommy's back, he wrapped his wounds up. His blue eyes were foggy as he thought, always glancing back towards the broken nether portal. He couldn't help but get angry, as he remembered Dream's words, what he had let Dream do to him. He didn't know when Dream would be coming back, but either way, he felt like he needed to leave as soon as possible.

He couldn't live here anymore, getting tortured by the man he now wanted to kill. After resting for a few minutes, he made his way to one of his, surprisingly, intact chests, hoping to find some type of good inside. He was lucky, pulling out a loaf of bread with a smile. He sat back down, quickly eating the bread so he wouldn't pass out. Tommy looked towards the sky when he finished, resting his head against the chest he was leaning on. It was a beautiful day, the sky even better. He closed his eyes after a moment, his mind once against trying to come up with a plan.

He's leaving this place, that was for sure. But where would he go? He couldn't go back to L'manburg, they had exiled him. He didn't even know if they cared about him anymore. He couldn't go to the Greater Dream SMP, Dream would be there. And he didn't want to face Technoblade after their last interaction, it still haunted him. So where could he go?

"Pogtopia." Wilbur smiled, flinging his arms open as he proudly smiled at Tommy. "Pogtipia, this is our new home! It'll always be there for us."

Pogtopia... was it even still standing? Tommy fluttered his eyes open, looking towards the nether portal. He'd have to fix the portal before he could find out. He looked towards his mines, coming up with a plan. He could definitely fix the nether portal. He turned around, opened the chest once again, and grabbed a water bucket. Now he just had to find some lava.

That Night. . .

Placing the last nether block the bucket up, grabbing his flint and steel and lighting the portal. The purple portal sprung to life, the swirls twirling in front of the teen. Tommy smiled, proud of himself that he had managed to light the portal in his state. Once he got to Pogtopia he could rest and hopefully heal himself better. No one had been to Potgotia since... well since they had that battle with Manburg to take back their nation.

He wondered if all their old resources would be there, which would be good for Tommy since he had nothing at the moment. Looking back towards his bloody wings he paused, eyes clouding as he stared at them. He walked over, slowly kneeling before letting his fingers graze the soft feather he had loved.

He sniffled, quickly wiping away the tears that tried to blind him once again. He stood up, looking around the area before picking an area and digging. Once the hold was big enough he stopped, wiping his dirty hands off before looking back to his lost limbs. He grabbed them one by one, placing them delicately in the burial he had made for them. Once he laid them down, he took one last look at them before placing the dirt on top of them.

They should have been buried with him, they shouldn't have been chopped off at all. He shouldn't be a flightless avian, he should be able to soar through the sky, but now he was damned to be stuck on the ground only to stare up at the clouds he once used to fly with.

He patted the makeshift grave, slowly standing before facing the portal once again. He's been through so much pain, he was going to save everyone else from the same torture he had been through. He was going to save this server, and make it the way it used to be. He'd destroy the very thing he helped create.
