"Hello?" You hear the familiar voice on the other side of the line as you hold the phone up close to your ear. You smile softly as you take a deep breath while listening to him say hello for a second.

"Hi, baby." You greet. You hear a deep breath on the other side of the line. This causes you to nervously bite onto your lower lip as you look down at your other hand and begin picking at the hangnail on your thumb.

"What's up?" he questions.

"I was just with Seulgi a few hours ago and I found out something that I think you'd want to know about."

"Wh-what?" he stutters from the other side of the line. You furrow your eyebrows as he says this.

"It's about Yoongi and her." You respond slowly, now suspicious of his reaction when he stutters. You pause for a second before speaking again. "What did you think I was talking about?"

He lets out a nervous laugh before speaking.

"I thought it was something else... don't worry about it." He states. "What did you find out?"

"Seulgi might have real feelings for Yoongi." You state, allowing your mind to forget about his initial reaction, so happy about the current situation. He lets out a soft laugh on the other side of the line.

"Seulgi?" he questions. "Are you sure about that?"

"She admitted  it outright to me." you respond. You can hear the utter shock in his voice during his next response.

"Wow, she's the least likely in our friend group." He states.

"Right?" you question before smiling. "So, do you have any intel?"

"Intel on...?"

"Yoongi. Is it mutual?" you question. He lets out another laugh. You can tell he's covering his face while he's thinking.

"Ah, I haven't seen Yoongi in person in a while." He states before he grows quiet for a few seconds. "But the last time I talked to him in person, he was going to meet up with Seulgi afterwards. He seemed pretty excited."

"Excited to see her and spend time with her or excited to get his dick wet?" you question. He lets out a sound of disgust.

"Aish, don't say that about him." He states. "He's my hyung, I don't ever want to picture him having sex like that ever again."

"If I have to listen to Seulgi when she gave me the details, I'm going to make you listen too." You respond. He lets out a soft laugh before shaking his head.

"It honestly surprises me that Seulgi and Yoongi are compatible enough to have sex together." He states before speaking once more. "He's so private about his sex life. All he mentions is the name of the person he's seeing... you know, to make sure that there's no chance that two of the people in our friend group are hooking up with the same girl."

"Ah, so he's not a sharer?" you question jokingly.

"I think he just thinks it's awkward." He states. "Like it's different if you hook up with the same girl months or years later. At the same time is way different."

"Makes sense." You state before it gets quiet for a few seconds. After a bit, you speak up again. "So, I have a question. Seulgi wants to test to see if Yoongi feels the same."

"How does she plan on testing it?"

"She would like us to have a double date together. Do you know when you're free to plan something?" you question.

"Hm..." he says for a second. "Give me a second, I'm going to check my calendar."

"Okay, baby." You say. The other side of the line gets quiet while you wait patiently for him to answer.

"I should be free on Thursday night if that works for you and Seulgi." He states.

"Sounds like a date to me."

"Good, I can't wait to see you, baby." He says from the other side of the line. The sound of his voice saying 'baby' makes you feel much better. You two then continue to talk about other things before eventually hanging up the phone.

You let Seulgi know about the plans so she can get in contact with Yoongi. Once she does, you two are able to plan everything and send the details about the restaurant and time to both Taehyung and Yoongi.

After a few days, it's time for the date.

You and Seulgi just finished getting ready and are waiting for Yoongi and Taehyung to get to Seulgi's place.

"You could use some more gloss." Seulgi states before walking towards her dresser. She opens her dresser and pulls out an unused lip gloss tube. She then walks towards you and hands you the tube. "Here, I have this one that I got last week. Untouched and it would look so hot on you."

You smile softly before nodding your head and applying the lip gloss while using the small compact mirror from her vanity to watch yourself applying it. You then slip the tube into your purse.

"Where would I be without you?" you question.

"Probably at home doing nothing." She states while shrugging. You let out a soft laugh and shake your head before gently nudging her.

You then both hear the doorbell going off and smile widely at each other.

"Time to see if he likes you back." You state.

"Why wouldn't he?" she questions.

Upon opening her door, you two are greeted by Yoongi. He smiles softly at Seulgi. She immediately steps forward and embraces him. Her arms wrapped around his neck and you stand off to the side to silently spectate. You can see him closing his eyes for a second as he takes a whiff of her perfume. You softly smirk to yourself.

You then look towards the door and don't see Taehyung. This causes you to furrow your eyebrows.

Your phone then beeps.

Bad Date Bodyguard 🥰: Hi baby, I'm so sorry to cancel so last minute. Something came up. I'll try to finish this quickly so I can meet you at the restaurant.

Your jaw drops as you stare down at the text message.

"Y/N?" You hear Seulgi call out. Looking up at her, you close your mouth and try to give her a grin. However, she's already sensing that you're disappointed.

"Taehyung said he had to run a quick errand. I promise you, it's nothing to worry about." Yoongi speaks up all of a sudden.

"So, you know where he is?" Yoongi nods as you ask this. You then tilt your head to the side.

"Why didn't he tell me sooner?" You question. This causes Yoongi to grow quiet before he bites onto his lower lip. He then looks over at Seulgi.

Seulgi merely looks up at him, eyebrows furrowed as she grows confused now too.

"Do you remember when I dropped you off at Sunmi's doctor appointment before this most recent one?" Yoongi suddenly asks her.

"Yes... what about it?" She questions.

"Remember how you saw a girl in a wheelchair riding past you?" Yoongi questions. "And you pointed her out to me as you were leaving because she was giving me a weird look?"

Something clicks in your mind. You also saw a girl in a wheelchair when you were there for her most recent appointment. She gave you a weird look as well.

Suddenly, a stream of thoughts begins to take over your mind.

The look she gave you. The way Taehyung started pacing and acting strange after you saw her. The way he was totally fine until after getting you and Sunmi some snacks. The way he grew distant after that day. The fact that you two hadn't seen each other for a few weeks after that.

"Yes, what about her?" Seulgi questions.

"Y/N, I'm sure you know where I'm going with this." He states. "I know either Taehyung or Jimin had told you something about this."

"About what?" Seulgi questions, now out of the loop.

"That's his ex-girlfriend... isn't it?" you question. Seulgi's eyes widen as she looks between the both of you.

"What?" Seulgi questions. Yoongi merely nods as you ask this. "Is Taehyung cheating on you?"

"It's complicated, Seulgi." Yoongi replies. "He isn't cheating but I don't want to air out Taehyung's business. That's his dirty laundry, not mine."

"He's with her right now, isn't he?" you question.

"This is the first time since the accident that he's wanted to talk to her." He states. "He doesn't miss her or anything but I think realizing how much you mean to him, he wanted to close that chapter."

"Do not tell me he's hooking up with his ex right now." Seulgi states.

"Where are they?" This is the one question you utter out, ignoring Seulgi's questions.

"The hospital."

You grow quiet, unsure as to what you do.

Trust has been a tricky thing for you in situations like this given your dating history. On one hand, you feel awkward with him still needing to talk to her. On the other, you know that you can trust him.

Part of you is instinctively assuming that if they communicate, feelings might resurface. She might forgive him and they might get back together.

The other part of you knows that Taehyung is a good man. That he just wants to apologize for what happened. That he just wants to clear his unhealed conscience and get closure.

You silently stare at the floor as you contemplate how you should react to this. Reacting the wrong way could screw up everything you and Taehyung have built. Reacting the right way can strengthen your bond and allow you and Taehyung to heal in your own ways. Him through forgiving himself for paralyzing his ex-girlfriend and you through maturing and trusting him.

Looking up at Yoongi, he has an eyebrow arched as he stares over at you. You take a deep breath and nod your head.

"Okay." You state.

"Okay?!" Seulgi's hot-headed temper now shows itself. "What the fuck? He's with his ex-girlfriend!"

"Seulgi," Yoongi warns, voice deepening as he speaks. She looks up at him, eyebrows furrowed with anger for a few seconds. He merely stares down at her silently and she slowly stops furrowing her eyebrows and grows quiet. It's almost as if they're communicating telepathically, him telling her she doesn't know enough about this conversation to give an opinion.

"Seulgi," you call out now. Her head turns to you and her eyebrows are now raised in a sympathetic way. "It's okay. It's not what you're thinking it is."

"Okay... as long as you trust it." She states after a few seconds of remaining silent.

"How about the three of us go to do dinner still. Yoongi and I can fill in the missing gaps and when Taehyung is free, he can meet us there and give his perspective so you don't paint him to be a bad guy." You suggest. The two look at one another. Yoongi nods his head and she shrugs her shoulders.

"You know what, yes." She states. "I've told you already that I like Taehyung and that he treats you well. I refuse to second guess myself on that. If you're telling me that it's not what I'm thinking it is, then that's what I'll go off of. I trust your judgment." You smile softly as she says this before Yoongi does as well.

The three of you then make your way towards Yoongi's black Range Rover and he drives you both to the restaurant.

You're seated in the backseat while the two are at the front, making flirty remarks at one another and hitting it off. You smile to yourself softly as you now confirm that Seulgi's suspicions of it being mutual are correct. Looking at the rear view mirror, you see Yoongi glancing up at it.

He smiles at you through the mirror and gives you a nod of his head.

Based on how you've seen Yoongi to be, you know that this means you made the correct decision.

I can't believe we're already almost done with this story. I haven't had a lot of time to write a lot for my next story but I've been trying to find the time to write chapters here and there for it.

I hope all of you are doing well. My mental health hasn't been the best lately and I've been struggling with feelings of not being good enough and not being loved or appreciated by those in my personal life. I always re-read positive messages and comments from my readers to try to cheer myself up but lately whenever I start feeling better, something bad happens that messes with my mental health again.

I'm hoping that I feel better soon because I know it will get better, just don't know when. I'm trying to keep fighting to get to that good state of mind because I know and believe and trust that I can get there.

I hope all of you are okay and doing well during this time of year. I know during the holiday season, there's a lot of people who get seasonal depression and feel alone. I hope you all know you aren't alone and I try to write my stories to provide comfort to those who read.

Please take care of yourselves, eat well, drink lots of water, and take care of your mental health.
