"Well, it was nice meeting you, Taehyung." Your mom says while giving him a friendly smile. You smile over at him before looking at your mom. She then looks over towards the direction where your dad went to get the car.

"It was nice meeting you also, Mrs. Y/L/N." Taehyung says before giving her a wide boxy smile. He then looks in the direction she's looking at before looking over at you.

"Y/N, your father is getting the car and it might be a little bit. The parking garage earlier was very crowded." Your mother says before looking over at Taehyung. "Taehyung, you can start heading home, I feel bad making you wait for us." She says.

"I don't mind at all, ma'am." He says before looking over at you and giving you a small smile.

"What kind of car do you drive?" your mom questions, causing you to widen your eyes and give her a glare.

"Mom." You warn. She ignores your glare and continues to stare at Taehyung as she waits for a response from him.

"Oh, um..." he looks down at the pavement for a second as he gulps. "I actually don't drive a car..."

"Oh? How did you and Y/N get here?" your mother questions.

"Mom, sto-"

"I drive a motorcycle." He says while gesturing towards the bike. She eyes it before arching an eyebrow and looking over at you.

"A motorcycle?" You narrow your eyes at her and tilt your head to the side.

"You saw his bike last night." You point out. She then looks over at Taehyung, a shy smile on her face.

"Well, thank you, Y/N, for making me look like the nosy, annoying mother." Your mother says, causing Taehyung to laugh. You merely roll your eyes before looking over at her.

"Oh, please. You really thought we couldn't see you peeking through the blinds? You're not sneaky, mom." You say before looking over at Taehyung. You give him a smile as he laughs gently, amused at your mother's attempt to act surprised.

Your mother stares at the two of you before eyeing the car as your father pulls up near the sidewalk.

"I'll leave you two to talk for a minute..." she says before looking over at Taehyung. "It was nice again to meet you, Taehyung. Thank you for lunch." Taehyung nods his head before smiling his signature boxy smile over at her.

"Of course, I'm glad that I was able to meet all of you." He says before your mother nods her head and then points towards the car. You nod your head as she walks away and waits for you in the car with your father.

Taehyung looks over at you and you smile up at him, biting onto your lower lip.

"Thank you for lunch." You say softly before scratching the back of your neck. He smiles and shrugs before licking his lips as he stares down at yours.

"Any time, baby." He says before inhaling a deep breath. "I really want to kiss you right now... but your parents are right there." He confesses, voice lowering a little.

You gulp and stare up at his lips and nod your head, no longer staring into his eyes. As he stares down at you, he tilts his head to the side before looking over at your parents car.

He then smirks to himself as he gets an idea.

"Pretend you're cold." He orders. You stare up at him, confused for a second before shivering. He then takes his coat off, purposefully lifting it high and letting it cover the view of you two. While the coat hides you two, he presses his lips passionately onto yours for a few seconds before pulling away and covering your shoulders with the warm piece of clothing.

Your heart speeds up as you stare up at him, eyes sparkling in awe. He then smirks before winking down at you.

"Keep the coat. I'll get it back when I get back from my trip to Daegu." He states.

"Daegu?" you question, furrowing your eyebrows. It then clicks in your mind: Christmas and New Years are in a few days. "Oh! Duh, how did I forget that you're going home for the holidays?"

Taehyung merely laughs before shrugging.

"Maybe my kiss brainwashed you into thinking I wasn't leaving so you wouldn't be sad with me gone." He teases. You roll your eyes while laughing.

"Oh, please. I won't be sad while you're gone." You respond.

That's a lie.

"That's a lie." Taehyung states, almost mirroring your thoughts.

"No, it's not." You continue to press. He then arches an eyebrow while staring at you.

"Ah... well, I was going to fly back here for New Years to celebrate it with you, Jimin, Soojin, and the rest of the group." He says before shrugging his shoulders. "But if you're okay with not having me here for a kiss at midnight, then I can just stay in D-"

"Fine, it's a lie." You immediately give in, not wanting to miss your chance at having a first kiss at midnight. He smiles softly as you say this and then shrugs his shoulders.

"Alright, I'll be back on the 29th." He states before reaching his hand out. He gently cups your chin with the side of his index finger and places the tip of his thumb gently onto your chin. "Don't miss me too much." His voice lowers as he stares down at you.

"I'll try not to." You respond, voice also growing quiet. He then moves his thumb towards your lips. He then gently traces your lower lip with his thumb before pulling his hand away and tapping your nose gently.

"I'll be back before you know it." He states. Your shoulders slump slightly. You think about how you won't see his face and have to settle for only either reading his texts or hearing his voice. "In the meantime, FaceTime will have to do." This causes your ears to perk up immediately after hearing him say this.

"We can FaceTime?" you question. He stares down at you, eyebrows furrowed.

"Well... yeah..." he states before laughing softly. "You didn't realize that?"

"I just wasn't sure if I would come off as too clingy if I asked you to do that." You say while shrugging.

Alex and you had gotten into a fight over something similar. You had just asked him to call you whenever he had the chance to while he went on vacation. He assumed you wanted him to call because you were being jealous and wanted to keep an eye on everything he was doing. In reality, you had just missed him.

"That's not clingy." He states. "I like talking to you." Taehyung says, causing you to smile up at him.

"Good, I like talking to you too." You respond.

"Well, I'd sure hope so. I am your boyfriend after all." He teases before he then licks his lips once more. Letting out a soft sigh, his eyes drift towards the direction of your parents' car. "Alright, time to go."

"Be safe when you go to Daegu." You say. Taehyung smiles before nodding his head.

"Don't worry, Yoongi will be with me. His family is also in Daegu." You nod your head before stepping forward and giving him a tight hug. He does the same and gently rests his hand on top of your head, his other hand placed gently on your waist. His thumb begins softly stroking the top of your head. His hand then moves so that both arms are wrapped around your waist. His head rests against yours before he gives you soft kiss on the top of your head.

You inhale deeply to remind yourself of the scent of his cologne before you both pull away.

He then takes your hand and leads the way towards the car. Opening the door for you, he steps aside and gives your parents a polite bow.

"Sorry for the long goodbye, I wanted to spend a little more time with her before I go to Daegu." Taehyung apologizes to your parents. Your parents merely shake their heads and smile.

"Not a problem at all." Your father states before looking back at him. "Safe travels, hope to see you again sometime when you get back."

"Yes, feel free to stop by our place any time." Your mother states.

"Ah, thank you." He responds before looking over at you. "I know I'll be in Daegu... but it's only 2 hours away so don't hesitate to let me know if you need me."

You nod your head and then watch as he closes the door. He then begins walking towards his bike before turning around and giving you one last quick wave.

Your father begins driving away and you watch Taehyung starting to put his helmet on through the window as the car moves. You then lean back in your seat and look down at your phone.

There's a few texts from Sunmi and Seulgi in your group chat.

Seulgi sent a picture of her dog and her cuddling on the couch. This message is followed by Sunmi's texts of affection towards the dog.

You smile and respond saying how cute he is.

Deciding to text Seulgi separately, you bite onto your lower lip.

Y/N: Tae just told me that him and Yoongi are headed to Daegu for the holidays. I'd get in your last few holiday dick appointments with Yoongi while you can.

Seulgi: Already have him in my schedule 😉 were you and Tae just on a date?

Y/N: He met my parents. I accidentally fell asleep at his place last night, my mom was giving me shit for it.

Seulgi: You had sex!!!!!

You furrow your eyebrows as you see her text message coming through.

How'd she know that?

Seulgi: Every other time you've done that was because you had sex and got tired afterwards so that has to be it

You roll your eyes and laugh as she sends this text explaining how she knew.

Y/N: Alright, you caught me. Next time we hang out with Sunmi I'll spill the details.

Seulgi: You know just how to make me happy, don't you? I'll check with Sunmi in the group chat to see when she's free. Now that Yoongi and Tae will be gone for a bit, we can have a girls' night out

Y/N: I'm always down for a girls' night out. Let me know what she says!

You then put your phone down and look over at your mother to see that she's already staring at you.

"What?" you ask. She merely smiles.

"I like Taehyung for you." She states. You merely smile and roll your eyes.

"He's a nice guy." Your father agrees immediately. "Just hope he's careful on that bike of his. I heard a while ago that a girl became paralyzed after being hit while on a motorcycle."

You grow nervous upon the mention of that, already knowing that he very well could be talking about Taehyung's ex.

You, however, play it off and nod your head. You then glance back towards the direction of where Taehyung was.

However, your father had already driven far enough away where you wouldn't be able to see him anymore.

"Yeah... he's very careful." Is all you can say. Your parents nod in approval before going on and on about how sweet, kind, and charming Taehyung is.

You tune it out and think about his ex-girlfriend for a second.

Hopefully, she's okay. You hate that Taehyung has so much guilt because of that accident despite it not being his fault.

You lean your head against the window and stare at the cars driving past for the rest of the drive.

Tropical Storm Ophelia is now currently getting stronger on the East Coast of the US. If I have any readers in the east coast, please take any necessary precautions to keep yourselves safe. I know the east coast is usually pretty well prepared for these things but please, if you haven't started prepping, start to.

A bus crashed in Mexico, killing 16 and injuring 36. My thoughts and prayers go out to those involved in this crash and those who know someone who was in this crash.

In Vietnam, a fire killed nearly 56 people in a nine-story building. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this. That's a scary situation to be in, even for those who survived and might have lost all of their belongings.

I hope all of you are doing well and taking care of yourselves. Please drink plenty of water, eat plenty, and take care of your mental health.
