"Wait, he what?" Seulgi immediately questions. Seulgi, Sunmi, and you are all seated in the classroom, waiting for the professor to walk in.

You just recapped them on everything that happened on that date over the weekend. Despite not wanting to embarrass yourself, you ended up disclosing the fact that he started talking about that disgusting sex story. You also mentioned the fact that a random guy on a motorcycle felt so bad for you that he decided to step in and help you get out of the date.

"Why the fuck would he tell you something like that?" Sunmi chimes in.

"And on a first date?" Seulgi states. Sunmi looks at her, bewildered.

"Not even the fact that it was a first date, but while Y/N was eating? That's just so fucked up." Sunmi adds onto Seulgi's statement. Seulgi merely nods her head.

"I'm just more shocked about the fact that he did it on a first date. Like, I get telling funny sex stories to one another when you're already in a serious relationship together but on a first date? Insane." Seulgi states before leaning her elbows onto the table in front of her, examining her nails.

"Oddly enough, I'm not shocked by it. Guys can be fucking weirdos." You chime in. "I'm more shocked that a random guy who literally heard me trash talking his motorcycle decided to help me." You respond.

"Honestly girl, if I didn't know you and overheard a guy telling you a weird sex story, I would've done the same thing." Sunmi states.

"But that's because that's girl code. Any woman would do that for another woman to get them out of a dangerous or weird situation." You reason.

"Yeah but out of pity, even if I wasn't a woman, I'd get you out of it too." Seulgi agrees with Sunmi. She then smirks as she looks over at you, arching an eyebrow. "So, was motorcycle guy hot?" she questions.

You nod your head immediately.

"Oh, yeah. He's also very intimidating looking when he's not smiling though." You state.

"Oh?" Sunmi questions, not also intrigued. "Describe him." She says while gently nudging you.

"Black, curly hair. He was pretty tan. Boxy smile. Flawless skin." You say while recalling his face before shrugging. "And he was wearing a graphic tee, bomber jacket, and black skinny jeans."

"Ooh." Seulgi states before letting out a soft laugh. "Sounds cute."

"I'd say he was the type of guy who's sexy and intimidating when he's not smiling. When he smiled at me, it was like a little kid's smile and he went from being sexy to being adorable." You state before looking down at your laptop as you start pulling up your notes for class.

"Well, too bad he didn't give you his name." Sunmi states. You shrug as you glance over at her for a moment.

"It's not like I'll even see him again anyway." You state before looking back at your laptop screen.

"Exactly." Seulgi states. "Besides, our priority is getting you a date to that party, so back to the dating app." She says, causing your head to turn to her. You narrow your eyes at her as she starts unlocking her phone to start searching for more guys.

She feels your eyes on her and turns to look at you.

"You're not using that app again." You state.

"Yeah, totally dumb idea especially after the shit show Y/N already had to experience with that app." Sunmi states. "We need to try a different method now."

"And what method would that be if you're so sure about it?" Seulgi questions while looking over at Sunmi. Sunmi smiles before shrugging and looking over at you.

"How do you feel about attending a speed dating session?" she questions. "It's old-fashioned. You'll get to talk to the guy for around five minutes, be the judge of who you want to take yourself, and we won't interfere." Sunmi tells you.

You glance up at the ceiling as you think about this.

That would make it easier to eliminate any weirdos. You won't have to worry about them doing anything to mess it up for you. It'll feel organic and natural.

You don't see any downsides to this.

"I'm in." you state before smiling over at Sunmi. Sunmi smiles smugly over at Seulgi while Seulgi merely rolls her eyes.

"Fine. You can try that. If it doesn't work though, it's my turn to find another way of getting you a date. Deal?" she asks while looking over at you. You nod your head.

"I don't think it could go wrong but fine, if it doesn't work, you can brainstorm the next idea." You agree before looking back down at your laptop.

Seulgi nods her head and goes back to looking at her phone. Sunmi starts to take out her textbook for class.

It remains quiet for a few minutes before more students begin piling into the room. One of which is Lucas.

As he walks into the room, you immediately hear his voice and feel a tingle of excitement in your chest. You glance up and see him laughing as he talks to his friends before he makes eye contact with you. You smile and give him a wave.

"Hi." You say.

"Hey Y/N! You ready for the exam coming up in a few days?" You nod your head as Lucas asks this.

"Yeah, I've been studying like crazy for it." You say before laughing. "How about you? Did my notes on the homework help the other day?" He nods his head.

"Ah, yeah. It definitely explained it way better than the professor would have if I had gone to him." He states before stepping a little closer to your desk. "Speaking of that, I scored you an invite for that party. It was going to be next week but with all of these exams, the frat decided to put it off." You nod your head as he says this.

"That works better for me too. These exams are going to be a pain in the ass." You state before laughing softly. He nods his head and laughs as well. "Thanks for scoring me an invite."

"Any time! I'll talk to you later." He says as he glances behind him, seeing that the professor is now walking into the room.

You nod before looking back down at your laptop, starting to look through your notes to find where you left off. While you do this, Sunmi and Seulgi exchange looks at one another. They're both smiling.

"You know, maybe we won't have to find you a date." Sunmi speaks up.

"Yeah, I didn't realize you were that comfortable talking to him. Looks like you might not need our help at all." Seulgi states. "Maybe Lucas might ask you."

You let out a laugh as they say this.

"If he wanted to, he would've already. Also, we know I don't have the guts to ask him so I'll still be needing a backup plan." You state.

Both of them shrug before looking up at the professor as he starts talking to the class about the exam.

You do the same and immediately begin taking notes on everything he's saying.

You let out a soft sigh as you and Sunmi search online for the speed dating events coming up this Friday. She tilts her head to the side as she points to one. You're in your dorm while doing this and Seulgi is behind you two, watching TV as you two search.

"How about this restaurant?" she asks. You shake your head after looking at the food they're serving for the speed dating session.

"I don't want onion breath when I'm trying to get a date." You state. She makes a face before agreeing with you.

She then continues looking through more places before sighing softly.

"The only one left is at that one coffee place two blocks from campus." She states. "Have you been there before?" You shake your head.

"No, but I'm not opposed to having a speed dating session at that coffee place." You state while looking up at her.

"You're familiar with the area, you won't have to worry about food in your teeth or bad breath, and you'll probably end up meeting someone who's just as artistic as you..." she reasons before looking back at Seulgi. "What do you think?"

"I've been to that coffee place." She states. "I say go for it and try their honey tea while you're there. It's incredible."

She then goes back to flipping through the different channels on your TV.

"Haha. There's a pole dancing class for couples called Love on the Pole." She mumbles to herself before looking over at you. "If you end up making your date your boyfriend, maybe you two could try doing that together."

You merely roll your eyes at her saying this before turning your attention back to the task at hand.

Sunmi and you fill out an application for you so that the hosts of the speed dating event can add you to the list of women looking for men.

Letting out a pleased sigh, you nod your head and smile up at Sunmi.

"I'm so glad you came up with this idea." You tell her.

"Same! Hopefully it works." She responds.

"And if it doesn't, we're back to my methods." Seulgi slyly states, causing you and Sunmi to laugh.

This idea actually came to me when talking about the worst date experiences with some friends.
