Chapter 86B
Henry's P.O.V
Dylan didn't go back to sleep, no matter how many times I told him to try and go back to sleep, he just shook his head; I had a feeling it was about Johnathan but I didn't say anything, I wanted him to tell me himself but he didn't seem like he wanted to.
So we both stayed awake, I mean if he needed company I was the right person because sleep hated me to the core. We were both snuggled up, his head on my chest as we talked about random things, he kept drawing invisible circles on my stomach while I stroked his hair.
"What if you get a cat-"
"I'm not a cat person." I interrupted.
"Well, okay a dog."
"Keep going."
"And someone kills your dog, I mean blood splashed all over the living room. Head separated from body, bones broken, eyes plugged out kinda death."
My brows knitted in shock as I looked down at him, what really went on in his head? That information was too graphic, if it was a human being I wouldn't mind, but a dog?
"What would you do?"
This is what we had been doing for the past two hours, it was past five in the morning and Dylan had been coming up with 'What If' questions and most of them were super graphic but I had to admit it was fun to play, an hour before this we had been talking about random stuff and I don't know how this just popped up in his head
"I wouldn't even go far to find the person."
"So, who's your first suspect?" He asked.
"You." I replied.
He gasped and looked up at me. "Why would you think it was me?!"
"Because you killed a dog and pulled out his eyeballs and cut off his head and with all these details you spilled out, it's you." He pouted with a frown. "So, I would just drive over to your house and beat the shit out of you with a broom."
His frown quickly disappeared and he giggled. "A broom?"
I nodded. "I'll let you know they are painful as hell."
"Asshole," he muttered and laid his head back on my chest.
"You've got a creepy imagination."
"Can't help it." He shrugged. "Okay, you gotta ask your 'what if'."
"No."
"Yes, come on. Let me hear it."
I sighed and looked up at the ceiling, trying to think of what to come up with before kissing his head.
"What if you were to babysit a one year old child,"
He nodded. "Mmhmm,"
"And while carrying the child, you decided to go get a soda from the fridge. You don't see the spilled water on the floor and so you trip and the baby falls outta your hands and lands on the floor with his head and it gushes open and blood is oozing outta everywhere, his skull is cracked open and his eyes, nose and mouth are gushing out blood an-"
He slowly sat up with a frown and looked at me like I had shared a bad news. "And you say I have a creepy imagination? You get the award for that."
I chuckled. "I'm not done."
"What? More blood from his butt?" He asked sarcastically.
"And then the door bell rings and it's his parents, what would you do?"
He bit his bottom lip as he thought about it.
"You're running outta time." I rose my brow at him with a smirk.
He clapped his hands once with a smile. "I'll go or the window."
"It's a sixteen story building." I interjected.
His smile disappeared and he scowled at me. "That's mean."
I smirked. "The parents are knocking harder and calling you to open the door."
"Wait!" He gulped and sat on his knees, acting like it was actually real. "Um, I'll uh...I'll-"
"They threaten to call the cops!"
"No!" He yelled and I cracked a smile. "I will call you."
"My phone's dead."
He glared. "Why would your phone be fucking dead?"
I shrugged.
He swallowed and rubbed his palms together. "I'll-"
"They push the door severally and then it ope-"
"Oooh!" He snapped his fingers. "I'll open the window then go back to lay next to the dead baby, covered in his blood and act like someone actually broke in and did that to the poor baby and knocked me out." He smirked.
I shook my head at him with a chuckle. "You evil boyfriend of mine."
"You like me that way," he said with a smile as he moved closer to me and locked his lips against mine.
"Yes, I do." I replied and kissed him back, I deepened the kiss and at that moment, I wanted more but he pulled back.
"My turn!"
I groaned as the kiss was cut short and he sat with his legs crossed like the way monks did.
"What if I get abducted by...let's say terrorists,"
I frowned. "Why you?"
"Cause I'm unique and smart and handsome."
"Fair point." I nodded.
"Anyways, I get taken away and-"
"They can't take you away, I'd be there to protect you."
"They knock you out and kidnap me."
"There have to be like fifty of them to do that." My frown deepened.
"Okay fine, there are like fifty of them and-"
"I'll kill them all."
"Henry!!" He snapped. "Stop interrupting!"
"I'm sorry but it's not just possible." I shrugged.
"It's my 'What if' so shut up." He smacked my arm and cleared his throat. "As I was saying, you get beaten by fifty terrorists," I rolled my eyes. "They knock you out and take me with them away from this country, what do you do?" He asked with a smile.
I sighed. "I don't want trouble with any terrorist so I'm just gonna get myself a new boyfriend." I answered with a shrug.
He gasped. "How. Dare. You?!"
"I mean it's too much work."
"Oh. My. God. You really know who your boyfriend when trouble kicks in." He said as he blinked, staring at me in shock. "You'd abandon me to die?"
I nodded.
"Oh. Devil!" He exclaimed and blinked severally. "You're sleeping in the bathroom for the next one week."
I laughed. "I was joking."
"No you weren't." He said and was about to get outta bed when I pulled him back and his back laid against my chest as I wrapped my arms around him to stop him from leaving.
"Get. Your. Hands. Off me, you traitor." He was being cute right now.
I grinned. "I wouldn't let those terrorists take you and even if they do,"
"You'd abandon me and let me be the husband of a terrorist, it could be Osama bin laden brought back to life in another body like orochimaru does but you wouldn't care, of course."
He really did talk too much.
"I wouldn't let any terrorist take you, not even Osama Bin Laden in a new body." I muttered and kissed his neck. "And...even if they do take you, I would travel dimensions to find you. I'd have to get eaten by wolves first before I let you get taken and even." I felt him relax. "And even if I get eaten by wolves which can never happen, I'll come back to life. I mean if Osama can do then I can."
He turned to me with a smile on his face, his eyes filled with a certain emotion that I couldn't quite understand. "I hate you so much." He whispered.
"Me too." I replied and kissed him softly on the lips. "I would never leave you."
"Promises are meant to be broken." He muttered and cocked his brow at me, I smirked.
"Then I'm not promising you that I'll never leave you, take it as a uh...a declaration or assertion."
He laughed. "Same thing."
"Different words and pronunciation." I shrugged.
He shook his head at me, smiling really wide and kissed me again. Once, twice, thrice.
I pulled him closer to me, his head against my chest as I wrapped my arms around him tightly and wrapped my legs around his.
"He killed you." He muttered and I frowned, I pulled back to look him in the eye. "Johnathan, he...shot you."
I didn't need to ask to understand what he meant, it was his dream, that was why he panicked when he didn't find me laying beside him. I was extremely shocked and worried when I saw how scared he looked when he got up, the way he rushed back to me and looked at me with a thankful gaze and in relief. I was right, it was Johnathan. He was scared his dream had become reality.
"I'm still here and I'm not going anywhere." I assured him.
"He killed Raven and Jax too. God, their bodies were..."
"Hey," I cut him off, I didn't want him relieving it. "It's okay, Johnathan is locked up and he isn't getting anywhere close to us. He's not. Even if he does, I'll be here to protect you and your friends as well. Jax has Dominic to look out for him and we'll all look out for the red devil."
He smiled at the nickname I had used for Raven.
"I don't care what it takes me, he's not getting you. He's not getting close to you. I'll be your very own guardian angel, remember?"
He nodded and held me close, kissing my chest. "I trust you."
I knew those words would have taken enough for him to say them, I was glad he trusted me to protect him. Trusted me enough to tell me about his nightmare.
"Good, cause I need you to trust me to protect you or I'm gonna fail more than a kid who spelled broom with two 'u'. "
He let out a laugh. "Don't blame me for that. I was the smartest kid."
"I'm sure you were." I scoffed.
He was about to say something when we both heard a noise, a continuous noise of a bed....moving. The squeaking of strings and my brows knitted.
"Is that?" Once he asked the question, Dylan pulled away from me with his eyes widen and his jaw dropped as he sat up quickly and listened, it didn't stop. "Oh God." He smiled.
"Where is that coming from?" I asked.
He got off the bed real quick and I frowned at him.
"Dyl, what are you-"
"Shh! Shh!" He waved his hand at me telling me to keep quiet and I obeyed with a frown as he rose a finger with a grin, he waited in silence and I didn't know what he was trying to do. We could clearly hear the bed squeaking the more and his eyes widen as his smile grew. He slowly looked up with a smirk and I followed his gaze and looked up as well.
It was from the top floor.
Raven.
"Is she?"
Dylan gasped. "Oh my God! Oh my God!!" He exclaimed excitedly as he ran back to the bed and sat on it with a giggle. "She's getting the D." He whispered.
"With who?"
"It has to be Tom, that's why she brought him. Oh she's so sneaky."
I looked at him in disbelief. "Tom, her driver?"
"No, Tom her baby daddy. Yes, Tom her driver!"
I shot him a look. "Don't be sarcastic with me."
"Sorry," he smiled. "This is so cool." He grinned.
"No!" I shook my head and picked up the pillow, covering my ears with them while Dylan giggled. "Oh my."

Dylan's P.O.V
Twenty five minutes later and they didn't stop, we could still hear it and Henry was fed up so he left the room and I had to follow him. He had gotten pissed at first and went to the bathroom to get a mob to hit the ceiling hard and yell but I stopped him and we argued about it for a while until he gave up, dropped it and left the room. I didn't want to and wanted to time them but I had to go along with Henry to make sure he doesn't go up to stop their fun.
That was about forty minutes ago.
I couldn't help but worry about Henry, he got me thinking. Henry didn't sleep. He didn't close his eyes to get a little sleep and didn't seem tired at all, it was like he was used to this. He stayed awake with me since 2am. Was this how it was with him? He didn't seem tired yet I knew he was. If he wasn't getting enough sleep, it was bad for him. Did he have nightmares? He didn't for once even doze off.
We had snuggled up on the couch in the living room for a long time, we both said nothing but it was one of those comfortable silences we had. The sun had come out and Henry wanted coffee, I have no idea how to make one so I followed him to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of juice while he made his coffee.
"Do you not get tired?" I asked him as he scrolled through his phone while drinking his coffee, I was sitting on the counter right in front of him while he sat on a stool in between my legs, his hands placed on my lap.
He looked up at me and arched a brow. "Hmm? Tired, how?"
"You didn't sleep." I stated.
"Neither did you." He said and furrowed his brows.
"Is this normal?"
"How do you feel now?" He took a sip of his coffee and placed it beside me. I didn't understand how a teenager would be drinking coffee, okay maybe he's no longer a teenager since he's eighteen but still, I couldn't help but wonder if he had been drinking this for a long time.
I smiled at him and gave a nod. "A little tired, but I'm good."
He sighed and placed his head on my lap, I dropped my glass of juice as well and began stroking his hair slowly. "You tired?"
"Kinda," he sighed again. "I'm just worried about you."
"You know you can try to get some sleep now, right?"
He shook his head. "I don't feel sleepy." He muttered and then I realized that he had actually made me forget I was asking him something and changed the topic earlier.
I said nothing about it and just calmly stroked his hair backwards, he seemed relaxed and comfortable at my touch and it made me smile.
I stopped to grab my juice when he rose up with a playful frown. "No, no. Don't stop. I like it."
I chuckled. "Chill, I just wanna have a sip of my juice."
"Nuh uh." He shook his head and placed it back on my lap, I snickered and went back to playing with his hair. "It's relaxing." He muttered.
This boy made me think about so many things, so many beautiful things concerning the future and so many depressing this concerning his past. He looked like no one had done this for him in thousands of years and I knew it had to be so, he missed the affectionate touch of someone he loved. That I could tell.
"Good morning," Jax greeted as he walked over to where we were with Dominic behind him, Jax was just on his boxer and one of Dominic's shirt like I was in Henry's cause it made me feel comfy. Anyone could tell that it was Dom's shirt. Dom on the other hand was putting on black pants and a singlet showing off his amazing body.
"Hi, boys." I grinned while Henry groaned lowly in frustration as i stopped what I was doing.
"Wow, you're up early. It's weird cause today isn't even school." Jax said right before he sat a stool, leaving one in between him and Henry.
"Yeah, we couldn't sleep." I shrugged. "How was your night?" I asked, smiling at Dominic.
"I slept like a baby." He said before sitting next to Jaxton and rested his head on the counter with a smile.
I giggled. "Good for you."
"Is Henry okay?" Jax asked with a little frown as if Henry wasn't even here.
I nodded. "Yeah, he's just being a big baby."
Henry sat up and glared at me before standing up, he picked up his coffee and muttered something about going back upstairs and walked away.
"Is he always this grumpy?" Dominic asked with a frown.
"Of course not," I scoffed. "He's worse." I said and took a sip from my glass.
"Anyways, what are we having for breakfast?" Jaxton asked as he ran a hand through his hair.
"You're asking the wrong person." I shrugged.
"Good morning." A voice said, taking all our attention. It was Tom walking towards us in sweatpants and a black top.
I smirked.
"Good morning, Tom. Sleep well?" Jax asked with a smile while Dominic laid his head on his shoulder.
Dominic just smiled at him.
Tom smiled. "Yeah, I did."
"Of course he did." I replied with a knowing smile.
Tom gave me a confused look before walking over to the fridge and pouring himself a glass of cold water.
Dominic whispered something to Jaxton and he blushed, his eyes widen and he quickly stood up. "Um, we'll....we'll be r-right back." He said and held Dominic's hand, walking back up the stairs.
I watched them go and wondered why Jaxton was acting we-oooooh!
It hit me and I smiled.
I got off the counter sat on the stool. "So," I began, smiling.
"So." Tom looked back at me.
"I thought you were gonna go see your mom?"
"Oh, yeah. I'll go see her today but I'll be back probably tomorrow or so." He shrugged.
"Hmm." I gave a slow nod. "Your night must have been amazing....more like morning." I smirked.
He frowned. "Yeah?" He replied awkwardly.
"How was it?"
He blinked. "Y-You just answered that l-like few seconds ago." He gave me an odd look.
"You know what I mean, the other thing." I wiggled my brows at him.
He looked at me like I was a total idiot. "What...thing?
"I could hear you, you know." I grinned.
"Hear what?" He asked, firmly.
"Ah," I chuckled slightly. "Playing dumb, huh? Don't worry, I can play that too." I winked at him.
"What are you talking about?"
"I-"
"Good morning, angel!" Raven's voice filled the room, I turned to see her approaching me with a smile on her phone and in a silk short night gown, she didn't even look like she just woke up, she looked like she was going for a photoshoot right now.
"Hey," I smiled at her.
She ruffled my hair and sat beside me. "What's for breakfast."
"Like you haven't had breakfast." I muttered.
She frowned. "Huh?"
"Nothing." I smiled.
"He's been acting weird." Tom said. "I'll go get ready to go to the store." He said and walked away, I watched him go with a smile.
"Okay, what is your problem."
"You are such a liar!" I slapped her arm playfully.
She frowned the more. "What'd I say?"
"You said Tom followed us here so he could go see his mom but that's not it, is it?"
"He's also an errand boy, can do both." She shrugged.
I chuckled. "So you're gonna act like you don't know what I'm talking about."
"I don't."
"This morning, you lying whore." I giggled. "Henry and I could hear the both of you upstairs."
Her eyes widen. "You think-" she pointed at Tom and then blinked. "I mean, yeah. Shit, I didn't even know we were that loud."
"You guys were really loud, Henry wanted to kill you both."
"You guys have loud sex too."
"Yeah, but not when everyone's sleeping."
"I didn't think anyone was awake."
"We were and how's the bed? Broken?" I wiggled my brows. "Tom must be a pro."
She let out a short laugh. "Yeah he's....the best."
"So, is he the one you've been sleeping with continuously? I mean I knew already that you and Tom have been sleeping with each other from the start," she frowned. "But meh, so...it's him?"
She hesitated before answering with a smile. "Yes. It's Tom. "
"Wow. He is hot, I'd give him that."
She smiled. "Yeah."
"And older than you!"
She frowned. "He's twenty two. I'm gonna be eighteen soon, no big deal." She shrugged.
"Hmm, I think it's illegal."
"Your existence is illegal."
"You're a mistake." I shot back.
"So was your birth."
"Yeah, it was. My mom told me I wasn't expected since she was still a teenager in highschool but here I am and you have to live with that bitch!"
"You're annoying."
"So were you this morning at five." I said and stood up, I turned and began heading towards the stairs when Zach landed from it, half naked. No shirt, showing his 'I must admit' nice body and ash sweatpants.
"Hey." He greeted. "Good morning." He smiled.
"It'll only be good when you trip and fall, crushing your skull." I said as I walked past him and up the stairs to Henry and my room.
Henry was laying on the bed, his hand was placed behind his head and so his head rested on it, he just stared up at the ceiling, thinking. I closed the door and made my way towards him with a smile.
"Hey," I laid on top of him and kissed his chest. "What are you thinking about?" I asked softly.
"Just what my life would have been like if you had arrived in Eastwood many years ago." He replied as he caressed my back.
"And how would it have been like?" I asked as I looked up at him.
"Hella trouble." He said and I chuckled. "But much better."
I smiled and rested my head back on his chest. "Well I'm here now so I can still give you excess trouble."
"This one's enough, thank you." He said and I laughed.
"Asshole."
"I need a shower." I sighed and rolled outta his body to the bed and out of it, standing up. "You wanna join me?" I asked with a smirk.
Henry's brow slowly rose and a smirk appeared on his lips. "Yes, I would love to have sex with you in the shower."
I laughed. "What am i gonna do with you." I said as I made my way towards the bathroom.
Henry shot up from the bed and took off his top before making his way towards me, I stood right in font of the door. He cupped my ass cheeks and placed a kiss on my lips, I placed my hands on his arms as I kissed him back. I always let him take the lead cause he was the greatest kisser in the world and knew what to do, I was only a learner when it came to Henry.
With our lips locked and my arms wrapped around his neck, we made our way into the bathroom and took off all our clothes.
"You're gonna be as loud as you want." Henry breathed.
I smiled. "Is this revenge?"
He shrugged. "Sorta."
I giggled. "I like it." I said and kissed him again.
***
Hours later, my best friends and I laid on the grass in our underwear and sunglasses. Well, Jax and I laid on the grass while Raven had a towel sprayed on the grass for her. I was putting on a blue colored boxer while Jax had a white one and Raven was in a pink bikini.
We were sunbathing, we needed to relax. This was definitely what I needed.
"This is so nice, I swear." Jax sighed.
My phone rang and I rose it up, I smiled once I saw the caller before answering and putting it on loudspeaker.
"Hi, Jon!!"
Jaxton and Raven both looked at me with smiles on their faces.
"Heeey, Dylan."
"Hi, Jonnaaaay." Jax said out loud.
"Hey, teddy!" Raven spoke at the same time with a smile.
"Hi, my precious babies. How are you guys?"
"Good," Jaxton replied.
"Having the best vacation." Raven answered.
"Sucks you couldn't be here." I added.
"Y'all teasing me?"
I chuckled. "Of course not."
"I miss you guys like crazy, already."
"We miss you too." Jax screamed making us all laugh.
"How's Florida?" I inquired.
"Good. Good. There's so much food here, my grandmother's killing me with- I'M BUSY CHRISTOPH! GO GET THE DRINKS YOURSELF!" he yelled through the phone, startling us before sighing. "Sorry, annoying cousin."
Raven sighed as well. "I totally understand that."
"Y'all haven't sent any photos. Raven's the only one who posted a photo on Instagram, I expected more from you Dylan."
I gasped and turned to Raven. "You posted a photo and didn't tell me?"
"Sorry, I didn't care." She shrugged.
"I'm gonna kill you." I said casually.
"No one's dying!" Jaxton cut in. "How's Gwen, Jon?"
"She's great, she's out of the country too, she's at-"
"New York." Raven finished up.
"Yeah, anyways... How are your boyfriends?"
"Dominic's fine."
"Henry's still good in bed."
"I did...I didn't ask that."
"You did." I hissed.
"Oooh, I gotta go. I just spotted cake. I'll talk to you guys later tonight, bye! Yo- Jack! Let me have some!!" I heard him say before the line died.
"Suddenly cake's more important than us." Raven muttered.
I turned to her. "Yeah, I'd choose cake over you anytime sweet pea."
She gave me the middle finger and didn't even even look at me. I went straight to Instagram and posted a photo I had taken yesterday with Jaxton outside the house, writing a short nice caption, tagging as well. I noticed a notification of someone tagging me and checked, it was Taylor. A photo we had both taken at the hotel, I smiled at that, the photo was posted two days ago with the caption. "Miss you Elsa".
I liked the photo and commented on it, telling him I missed him too and added two purple heart emojis.
My phone rang again but this time it was a video call from mom. I quickly answered it and smiled.
"Hi, mom."
"Hey sweetie." She was eating a cupcake. "Oh, look who's having fun." She said and I rose my sunglasses.
"I'm trying to enjoy my vacation."
"Am I interrupting?"
"Yes."
"Good." She smiled.
"Hey, kiddo." Dad came into view, he was putting on a singlet and stood beside mom, smiling at me.
"Hi, Dad. Is mom being annoying?"
"Your mother isn't annoying."
"Aw, see. He's perfect."
I chuckled, I loved my parents relationship. It was perfect.
"Hi, Mr and Mrs Dexwell!" Raven said out loud and I stayed in a comfy position so my best friends would show.
"Hi, Bonnie." Jax waved.
"Hi guys, wow. Y'all do like you're having fun. That's good."
"How are you?" Jax asked smiling at her.
"I'm okay, the baby's kicking."
"Aw," we all chorused.
She chuckled. "Anyways, um...Dylan can I...can I talk to you in...private."
"Um, sure." I looked back at my friends and stood up. "Excuse me, people. I will be right back." I said and quickly made my way into the house and up to my room, shutting the door. "What's up?"
"Wow, this room does look amaz-"
"Mom!"
"Yeah, sorry." She was moving, they placed the phone on the table to show the both of them as they sat. "Remember we said we'll help you find out what we can about Henry?"
I sat on the bed. "Yeah, about that. Um, you know? I don't think you should find out anything anymore." I muttered. "Being here, I've realized he has a lot of demons, and I will let him take me into his head when he is ready instead of looking for answers like he's some serial killer." I sighed. "I'm not being a good boyfriend by not minding my damn business and poking around in his. So yeah, you don't have to find out anymore about him or the woman in the picture. I don't want to have to get to trouble and I want Henry to tell me about him, when he's ready."
Mom gave a small nod. "Aw. That is really sweet, honey."
"Well we found something." Dad said and I frowned.
"Matthew!" Mom smacked his arm.
"Whaaaat? We've been waiting to tell him all day!" He exclaimed.
"Did you not hear a word that came out of your son's mouth, Matthew Dexwell?" Mom scolded.
He shrugged. "I'm sorry."
"You found something?" I curiously asked.
They both looked back at me. "Yeeeeah, but it's really nothing." Mom said.
"Meh," Dad shrugged. "It is kinda something."
"Oh my God, Matthew!" Mom scowled.
"Tell me." I quickly said. "You guys are making me wanna know!"
Mom sighed.
"So with the photo you sent us, we tried to get some answers from everywhere we could without looking or sounding interested or nosy. It was really nice doing the investigation because it made me feel like Olivia pope and I couldn't even wear my sexy black top and jacket cause of this bump and so I stuck with-"
"Mom, I really don't wanna know what you wore to go gossip." I sighed, rubbing my temples tiredly.
"You are such a mean child."
"Thank you."
"Anyways, we did our homework and you were right. His mother is dead." Mom said
I shouldn't be surprised because it was kinda obvious but I still was a bit, a part of me kinda hoped maybe she wasn't. "Oh," was all I could say. Just that.
"And his father too." Mom added.
I nodded. "Yeah, I know about his dad." My voice was low and sounded tired.
"Well, do you know they died the same week?" Dad asked with furrowed brows and my brows knitted into a frown, suddenly being fully interested by the new information
"Wait, huh?"
They both nodded. "Yeah, both of them died in the same week." Dad stated.
I didn't know how to take this information, this led me many other questions.
"H-How? What happened?" I asked, blinking severally. "H-How long ago was that?"
Mom hesitated, looking a bit sad before answering. "Twelve years ago."
My eyes widen. "W-Wow," I breathed. "That's um...that's a long time ago. It's horrible, he must have been like six when that happened."
"Yeah, apparently they both got in a car accident. His mom, Catherine died instantly, his father though didn't, but he still didn't make it through the week. Died four days later." Dad explained.
Catherine.
"That is.....painful." My voice was almost like a whisper, my heart felt so much pain for him, I couldn't start to imagine what he could have gone through, losing his parents in the same week. I lost Isaac when I was nine and it hurt me for years until I came to peace with Dad, he still hurts. "I guess that's why he's been so....locked in his past." I muttered. "But what makes him angry?" I asked myself.
"That's not all." Mom said. I frowned in confusion as I slowly looked back at the screen.
"What? What else do you know? Shit! I shouldn't be asking, but tell me."
"Henry, he-" she trailed off and looked at dad, sadly.
It worried me. I needed to know what it was that made her look that way.
"What? Spill it out." I was eager to know.
She looked hesitant to talk and I glared at her. "Tell. Me." I demanded.
"Henry, he was in the car when it...happened. He...he saw it all happen. His mother died in front of him, he wasn't unconscious when it happened so...he witnessed it" Mom said softly.
I swallowed the huge lump in my throat and my mouth became dry. I didn't know what to do or say. My head ached as I thought about it. He saw this happen. He witnessed her die in front of him. Of course. That explains why he couldn't sleep. He was traumatized. That explains the bitterness but...what made him angry? Why was he always so mad? Why was he triggered every time and wanted punch a wall? Maybe he felt helpless that he couldn't save his parents. That he couldn't save her
"Dylan!" Mom called loudly and I blinked back to reality. "You okay?"
I nodded. "Yeah, um—I'm sorry, uh, I uh, I'll call you guys later? Thanks. And uh, take care of yourselves."
They both nodded.
"Take care of yourself too, alright." Dad said and I nodded.
"We love you." Mom blew a kiss while dad nodded in agreement. I just flashed them a smile.
"I love you guys too." I said and hung up. Once I did, my smile dropped and I fell flat on the bed with a sigh as I stared up at the ceiling.
Was it bad that I wanted to know so bad? I mean, he also wanted to know about Isaac so bad too.
I needed Henry to tell me about his past but he didn't want to. He wouldn't. It made him mad and I couldn't help but feel helpless.
A light bulb appeared above my head and I quickly sat up.
Henry talked about Simba like he related to Simba in a way. Like he knew what went on in Simba's head. Simba witnessed his father's death, Henry witnessed his parents death.
I stood up with a frown as I began to walk pace around the room.
Mufasa died saving Simba, was that the same thing here? Or was it because Simba blamed himself for what happened to his dad?
Wait-
I stopped walking.
Simba blamed himself for what happened to his father-
Was Henry probably blaming himself for the car accident? Did he think he was responsible?
'Let's just enjoy this story of a little cub deprived of everything he loved and owned in few minutes chase he was stupid.'
That wasn't just a normal fun statement, now that I think about it. He was definitely relating to himself! He said Simba was the cause of his misfortune which meant he blamed himself. He was Simba. Simba was him.
Mystery half solved.
Now all that was remaining was finding out why he blamed himself.
It shouldn't be that hard, right?
Right?
"Of course." I heard from behind me, I startled and swiftly turned with a gasp to see my sweaty boyfriend at the door. "I scare you, kitten?"
I clutched my chest. "Yes! And don't call me kitten." I said as I tried to gain back my breath.
When did he even open the door?
He chuckled and walked to me, kissing me on the lips. "Sorry." He said and hugged me, he was breathing hard. The boys had been playing basketball at the back and I know I should have joined them since I played well but nah, I wanted to relax. I inhaled his scene and wrinkled my nose st the stench of sweat.
"Ew," I grimaced and moved away from him. "You smell like a six day old dead rat. No, go shower."
"Wow, Dylan. That was mean." He pouted which was really cute. "Gimme a hug to make up for that."
I took a step backwards. "I'm sorry baby, but I'm not hugging you while you smell like that? Over my dead body."
"Well shower with me."
"No, I'm not having sex with you." I shook my head at him.
"I want a hug." He said as he tried to wrap his arms around me.
"After you shower." I ducked and went under his arm, I was about to head for the door when he gripped my arm and pulled me back, I let out a scream before he rapidly twirled me and my face collided with his chest, he held my head close to his armpit, pressing my head, forcefully hugging me. I tried to scream as I inhaled the horrible stench of sweat from his polo, I mean he had been playing for the past three to four hours. I needed to run. I tried to free myself but he wasn't having any of it.
"Yeah, thanks for the hug babe." He said and finally released me, I let out a heavy breath as I took three unsteady steps backwards, my hair was probably scattered but I didn't mind.
"You mister! Are sleeping on the couch in the living room!" I said pointing at him while he just laughed.
"That's what you get for not wanting to hug your boyfriend."
"Fuck you."
"Shower then." He smirked.
"I hate you." I said and stormed outta the room, ignoring his chuckles
Asshole.

"I'm bored!!!" Jaxton yelled frustratedly as he laid on the floor in the living room.
"Me too!" I agreed while sitting upside down on the couch.
Raven was busy typing real fast on her phone and wasn't even paying attention to us.
Dominic was sitting on the floor, Jaxton's head placed on his lap.
Henry could care less, he was in the kitchen doing what he knew how to do best. Be alone. He was watching a movie on his phone with his headphones while I was here dying of boredom.
"Bitch! Aren't you listening." I yelled as o threw a pillow at Raven who let out a little cry.
"Ow! Are you nuts?"
"We're dying!"
"Good. Not my problem." She said and went back to texting.
"Bitch." I muttered.
"Oh, I've got just the thing." Zach quickly stood up with a smile,
"What? Herpes?" I asked with an innocent smile.
He just shot me a look. "No, idiot."
"Bummer, that would have made my night." In replied and instantly Jaxton threw a pillow at me and shot me a 'don't be mean' look while suppressing a laugh.
"Anyways, give me a sec." He said with a grin and dashed up the stairs.
"I hope he comes back with a test result that says he's got aids." I muttered.
"That's harsh." Raven frowned.
"Is it?" I asked and then Dominic spoke.
"What's your deal with Zach, anyways? Why do you hate him?"
I sat up properly and looked at Dominic. "He is the most annoying human in the world."
"Henry and Dylan used to be enemies." Jaxton said as he looked up at his boyfriend. "Like...real enemies."
Raven looked away from her phone and at Dom. "And Zach supported Henry at whatever he did like we do for Dylan."
"Henry and Dylan got detention for almost getting in a fight," Jaxton continued.
"Zach approached Dylan and talked like a madman and the hatred began there." Raven finished.
"Annoying shit." I muttered.
"Wow." Dom complimented and blinked.
"Back here." Zach said and sat on the floor showing the one thing that I would never do. A very stupid idea.
I gave him a look that screamed 'stupid'. "You brought. An Ouija board and expect us to play this with you? How dare you?"
"What? It's fun."
"I've heard so many stories, I'm not playing that." Jax shook his head.
"I'm in." Raven smirked and Zach smiled at her.
"Are you serious?" I then looked at Zach and scowled at him. "How does a black guy suggest we play Ouija board? I thought white people brought up such stupid shit and you guys were the ones to say no and run the hell away from it? What timeline is this? What earth is this? Cause it seems like the tables turned here."
Raven rolled her eyes. "You're being dramatic, Dylan. It's just an Ouija board game."
"Sounds fun." Henry said as he made his way towards me and sat by my side.
"See, he agrees." Raven smiled.
"Um, are you all crazy." Jax frowned.
"Sorry but haven't you heard stories of how this game works and how people get possessed through this? White people for that matter and I'm white! We are all white! WE ARE ALL WHITE!"
"Spaniard." Jax objected.
"Not so white." Henry muttered.
I scoffed. "Look at your skin."
"Black." Zach rose his hand
"Shut up! You're whiter than we all are right now because you suggested this game!"
"Maybe...maybe it's not so bad." Jax shrugged.
I stood up. "No, y'all can play. I'm not playing." I said and shook my head. "And when one of you get possessed, don't even come close to me cause I will beat the demon out of you with a pan and actually still beat you till surgery can't FIX YOU!" a
"Wow, he's losing it." Zach muttered.
"Shut up!" I snarled and began making my way towards the stairs but turned and walked past them again to the kitchen, I went to the fridge and took out a snicker bar before walking past them again with a frown.
"It's cause I'm pissed!" I said as I passed and walked up to Henry and my room.
Henry came in like a minute later and walked over o me on the bed. "You know, you're overreacting."
"Am I? I mean I literally watched a video of a girl getting possessed. It was fun to watch and creepy but I'm not about to go through that pain she went through." I laughed maniacally. "Thank you for the offer but I like being human and in control of my body."
"Won't you wanna know if there's a spirit around."
"No." I answered quickly, shaking my head.
"You're sure? You know not all spirits possess. We'll just summon the good ones."
"How?"
"We just invite the good spirits only and it might not even work."
"Yeah, it might not." I muttered. Maybe it was all fake. Maybe those youtubers did those for likes. "Okay, only good spirits...just in case."
He smiled. "Of course."
And that was how Henry convinced me to play this game.
We were formed a circle as we sat in the living room, crossing our legs. The lights were on, I had Jaxton at my left and Raven at my right, Zach came after Raven and then Henry who sat across me then Dominic who sat beside Jaxton. We had sat on breathless silence for nearly a minute, Jaxton was avoiding looking at me which made me frown, he probably thought I was mad at him for agreeing. Oh wait- i am.
"Okay guys," Zach said excitedly.
"This is stupid." I sighed.
"Shush." Zach shunned me and cleared his throat. "Let's all place our fingers on it." He instructed and that was what we did. We all rested our fingers on the planchette.
"We request to speak to any spirits around but only he kind hearted, good spirits are allowed." He said out loud. "Okay, we'll start with simple yes-and-no questions." He said lowly and Raven and Jax nodded.
"First, is there a spirit here?" He asked and nothing happened, I had been waiting for the spooked moment but nothing yet. The lights dimmed making me look up instantly and soon the planchette started moving to the left, it's pointer touching the Yes.
"Someone has got to be moving this." I said with wide eyes.
"Oh God, I knew this was a bad idea." Jax said.
"Shush, wait." Henry said, looking serious.
"Cool." Zach grinned.
"Okay, uh.. Did you die here?" Raven asked, it moved away from the yes and went back to it and my eyes widen the more.
"No." I shook my head. "I knew this house was haunted."
"What is your name?" Jax asked.
It was suddenly extremely cold in the room and it scared me a bit, it swiftly moved to the letter 'A' scaring us all and then N,

"Annabelle." Dominic called out and the lights went off making me scream, as well as Jaxton and Raven.
"Am I the only one who thinks that her hearing Annabelle as a name is fucking creepy? Yes? Okay." I shrugged.
"Who is Annabelle?" Henry asked.
Raven gasped. "I remember her, she was a maid here back when I was...little. I didn't know she was dead."
I huffed in shock. "That long ago?"
"Why haven't you gone to the other world?" Zach asked the board. "Is there something you wanna finish?"
The planchette moved away and pointed back at the yes.
"Have you killed anyone here?" Raven asked and it went straight to the no.
"Good." I muttered.
"This is so cool." Zach chuckled and I glared at him.
"Well, you're not about to kill anyone ever, right?" Jax asked and it went straight to yes.
"Yes what?" Zach asked, confused like the rest of us.
Henry had a fixed frown on his face as he stared at the board. I don't even know why I'm still playing.
The planchette began to move on it's own and began to touch the alphabets.

"Want who?" I asked. "Speak clearly, Annabelle. Shit, imagine if it was that stupid doll. I'd die." I said, slowly losing my mind.
It moved rapidly.

"No!" I quickly stood up. "No, I'm not playing anymore. No. No. No. You said, good spirits. She's not one of them. No. She wants to come back to life with my body? Hell to the no. I'm gonna go pack my things and leave tonight." Things began to fall in the kitchen making me scream and panic. "No, no. No. I will slap the shit out of her if she dares to come for me. I'm not gonna get possessed!"
The lights began to twitch and I started to panic, this was a real life horror movie.
"Y'all brought a spirit out! I hope you guys are happy!!" I screamed at them.
"Babe. Hey." Henry walked up to me and placed his hands on my shoulder. "Relax."
"That bitch Annabelle said she's coming for me! I'd rather have drown than get possessed." I screamed and at that moment I shut my eyes. "I'm freaking out! I KNEW THIS WAS A BAD IDEA! I KNEW IT!" I was about to actually cry when Raven snorted into laughter, Jax joined as well and I frowned
"Nothing's funny!! What? Did she possess you all, already?" I asked, Zach and Dominic started laughing as well, making me confused. I looked at Henry and he had a smile on his face, one that was desperate to turn into a laugh.
Raven fell flat to the ground as she laughed. "Oh my God! You should have seen your face." She said and soon the lights came on and Tom popped out from the kitchen with a smile.
Jaxton was holding his stomach as he laughed while Zach laughed out like a mad man.
"What is...wait, you guys planned this?" I knitted my brows as I asked.
Raven nodded as she laughed. "Of course. There's no Annabelle. Tom here increased the air condition and threw those utensils in the kitchen and also manipulated the lights." She said and I glanced at Tom who smiled and waved.
I was just played.
"You've been pranked." Zach said with a smirk.
"You guys think this was funny? I'm literally shaking! Whose idea was this?" I inquired.
"Guess." Jax giggled and my eyes went straight to Zach.
"Oh no, not me." He shook his head and smirked before looking at Raven "Her."
I looked at the smiling Redhead. "Seriously?"
"It was cool, wasn't it?" She giggled. "I had to do something to have you all on your tens." She grinned. "Something fun." Raven said and shrugged. "And it worked."
"You were controlling the planchette, weren't you?"
"Not just me." She shrugged. "Plus your boyfriend was in on it."
I looked at him and he just awkwardly looked back at me.
"You asshole! You scared me to death, jerk face!" I smacked his arm, really hard.
"It was funny, come on." Dom chuckled.
"Even you? I'm disappointed. I thought we were closer than this." I shook my head at him.
"The Ouija board is totally fake." Zach said with a smile. "I would never buy the real one. God no! I'm black! I can't. We're very careful and it was because it involved torturing someone that I agreed to get this, I didn't know it was gonna be you until today." He chuckled.
"You're really crazy." I glared at Henry and looked at Raven. "You liar! Annabelle! Really!" I made my way towards her and she quickly stood up and ran.
"I'll cut your hair off so sleep with one eye open." I told her. "And you!" I pointed at Jaxton. "That's why you wouldn't look me in the face, you were in on it. I'm so mad at you."
"They made me." He whined.
"Buh! Buh! You're on a two weeks suspension."
"Oh, come on!"
"You," I pointed at Henry who was chuckling. "You're in deep trouble for this. I almost peed my pants!"
"I love you."
"You're sleeping downstairs, and I mean it." I said to him in a serious tone. He pulled me by my arm to sit on him but I pulled my arm away. . "My heart's still racing because of you."
"Oh come on, it was mean yeah, but it was funny." Raven snickered.
The prank was mean but, it was funny.
I shook my head at them. "Ha ha! Crazy folks. I'm going upstairs, you all got me." I chuckled and left them.
Once I was in my room, I shut the door and placed my hand on my chest while my heart raced so fast. I slowly moved away from the door and made my way to the bathroom, breathing out of my mouth because I couldn't really breathe properly. It must have been a funny prank to them, but to me it wasn't.
My eyes became watery and I knew I was starting to have a minor panic attack. Even after pretending to be fine and laughing with them downstairs, I knew I had to throw them off guard because I didn't want them to worry, meanwhile I was losing it.
I held my shirt, squeezing it as I felt so distressed, like everything was crashing down. I closed the bathroom door behind me. I felt....unsafe. I held the sink and lowered my head, closing my eyes as I tried to stop the panic attack.
"One Missisippi, two Missisippi....three—" I lost my voice and looked at my self in the mirror to see the tears had already started to fall. With the help of the sink, I sat on the floor.
"One missisippi...two..." I couldn't breathe.
Then a knock came on the door. "Dylan?" It was Henry's voice. "Hey, are you okay in there?"
I took in some breaths and nodded. "Mmhmm. Yeah, uh...j-just a moment."
"I'm really sorry about the scare thing." He said from the other side of the door while I struggled to breathe and to stop crying. "It was really insensitive of me to partake and I am sorry. At first, I thought it would be nice to cheer you up with that, but then, it just doesn't seem like it's the right time for that, right?"
I stayed quiet, looking at the door with tears in my eyes and squeezing my shirt tight.
"Dylan?" He called. "What are you doing? Are you okay?" His voice became clouded with worry and I could tell his brows were knitted in concern like they always were.
I didn't reply.
"I'm coming in." He said and instantly opened the door, walking in, almost like be knew something was wrong. Henry saw me on the ground, looking back at him with teary eyes and his face was filled with dismay. He quickly rushed to me and kneeled before me, taking my hands in his.
"Hey, hey, you're okay. You're okay."
"I c-can't...I can't b-breathe."
Henry squeezed my hands in his gently. "Keep looking at me, keep looking at me." He said but I found it hard to keep my focus on him.
"Just look at me." He said softly, and I did. "Breathe with me, okay?"
"Okay." I cried.
"In." He took in a deep breath and I did the same, and then he breathed out and I did the same. But I couldn't keep up with him as I felt completely like shit.
"I can't." I shook my head, crying.
"Hey. Remember when we first had that altercation during dodgeball?" Henry asked and I looked at him, confused.
"What does that have to do with now?"
"We were sent to Principal Evans office and he asked what happened, which led to us having an insult-off. And then you called me a....what was it? A cum something, and Mr. Evans was y shocked by our curse words that he gave us detention." He chuckled.
I huffed at the memory. "He looked scared."
Henry snickered. "And then asked us the meaning of the word you said."
"Cumdumpster," I said as I looked at him. I chuckled. "The word was cumdumpster, you cumdumpster."
Henry laughed and so did I.
"Fun times, wasn't it? Where'd all the time go?"
"You were so annoying, but I always looked forward to seeing that face of yours."
I smiled. "Funny, it's almost the same thing."
Henry smiled. He rose his hand and wiped the tears off my face and it was then I realised the panic attack had already stopped.
"I am so sorry, Dylan."
"It's okay." I told him.
"I should have stopped it immediately." He said, feeling guilty.
"Hey." I placed a hand on his hand that was on my face and kissed his. "It's not your fault. You're here, that's all that matters."
"I felt terrible and I just felt something was off, so I came up to check on you and here you are on the floor of the bathroom."
I chuckled. "It's a clean, comfortable floor."
"Hmm. Let me see." He said and sat next to me. "Ah, you're not wrong." He said and I laughed.
"Silly." I said and placed my head on his shoulder.
I looked up at him and kissed his cheek. "Nobody be mad when I return the favour." I said and placed my head back on his shoulder.
Henry smiled.
