"I wish we don't have to go to college and just stay together or shit." Henry said and I laughed.
"Yeah, this whole love thing is cute and all, but I'm not as rich as you are and I have to build myself up to be an actual Annalise Keating." I said, my hands around his shoulders.
We were in his room on his bed, I was sitting in between his lap, hands around him while his hands cupped my butt. We had graduated about a week ago and I was planning to leave for college.
"Besides you are not going to college." I said and faked a smile.
He seemed to have seen how worried I was, he smiled softly and kissed my jaw. "I will be okay, I promise."
I sighed, trying to hold back myself from making this a big deal. "You don't know that."
"I do." He replied, almost immediately. "And we'll be together," he said and I forced a smile. "If that is, you don't find some other hot guy in college."
I scoffed. "Please. After all I have been through with you? I don't think there will be another guy." I hissed. "I have a bullet scar to prove that."
"Make me proud when you get to Harvard."
I nodded. "You sure you can't just....go to college? I mean, I just-"
Henry frowned softly and I shook my head and faked a smile once I saw his face slightly change. "You know what? Never mind, Mr. Ashcroft." I kissed him on the lips
Henry grinned once I called his last name. "I love you." He said and kissed me.
"I love you too." I replied and kissed him back.
"I have been a better person since we got together, and I would never trade our memories for anything."
"Aw, that's cute. Now, say that again when there are more people in the room."
Henry laughed. "Not happening."
I giggled. "Anyways, you know you are to come to Tate's house tonight, right?"
"For what?" He asked, with a slight frown.
I gave him a look. "Are you kidding me? I told you this a couple days ago."
"Oh," he nodded. "Right. You...did."
I puckered my left brow. "Right. And uh, what exactly did I tell you was happening at Tate's tonight?" I questioned.
Henry pouted as he searched his brain for an answer. "Uh, it just-"
"Mmhmm,"
"The uh,"
I furrowed my brows. "The what?"
"Sorry."
I shook my head. "Christian is throwing Tyler a little party, more like a congratulations and farewell party because Tyler is going off to Stanford."
Henry frowned a bit. "Wait, isn't Christian going to Stanford too?"
I nodded. "Mmhmm, but Christian said he has had a birthday party, many parties but he wanted to do something for Tyler, just for Tyler, isn't that cute?" I said as I got off Henry.
"Yeeah?"
"Tristian is the shit that I am rooting for, both boys living the fantasy." I said as I walked over to Henry's mirror to fix my hair and give myself one last look before I leave his house.
"What time is it?"
"Seven. It's also a surprise so don't say anything."
"Tyler and I are just hi, hey, friends anyways."
"Doesn't mean you might not still spill, especially if it gets awkward."
"He barely says words to me."
"Because," I fixed my shirt. "You always have this look like you are gonna murder whoever disturbs your peace."
"And is that a bad thing?"
I saw him approaching me from behind through the mirror and I smiled at him. "Absolutely not."
He wrapped his arms around me again and rested his head on my shoulder. "What should I wear?"
"Baby, wear anything." I huffed.
"Can you not go yet?" He muttered.
"If I stayed, we'd go to Tyler's late."
"The fact that you're leaving soon, makes me just want to hold you every day and night."
"Good thing I'm not dying." I smiled.
"What time should I come pick you?"
"You'll get yourself to Tyler's party. I'll be coming with Jon and the others."
"So, I'm gonna go by myself?" He frowned.
"Go with Zach and Dominic, aren't y'all like the new twilight boys?"
"Okay, bye." He turned and walked back to the bed, laying on it.
I laughed as I picked up my shoes, walked over to the bed, sat on it and began putting them on.
"Do not be late, Ashcroft."
"I'll be there."
I looked at him, a smile on his face as he just watched me. "What?"
"You are beautiful. Can't believe that I am your boyfriend, dear Dexwell."
"Well," I shrugged. "I mean, I am pretty sexy."
"Yes, you are." He pulled me on top of him. "Now, can I just kiss you?"
"Hmm, just a kiss?"
"Just a kiss." He said as his boner literally poked me and I cocked a brow at him.
"He doesn't seem to want just a kiss."
"Well, maybe we can....y'know?"
I kissed him and quickly got off him. "Nope. Bye." I said as I picked up my phone and left his room. "Don't be late to Tylers'." I said as I closed the door behind me.
My smile slowly faded as I walked down the hallway and down the stairs. I was worried about Henry and worried about him going into the army, it scared me that something might just happen? What if he came back with no legs?
"Well, what is on your mind, amor?" Catherine asked, hands full with grocery bags.
"Catherine," I blinked and walked over to her, helping her with the bags. "You're home."
"Yes yes, thank you." She said as we walked to the kitchen and dropped the bags on the counter.
I looked at Catherine for a hot minute, a small pout as I studied her.
"What?" Catherine asked with a small chuckle as she took off her fur coat.
"You are always like pretty, yeah," I said as I began taking off the groceries from the bag. "But today, you look like super hot."
Catherine grinned. "Well, thank you."
"Your hair."
"Cute, isn't it?"
"It's beautiful."
"I curled it and dyed it to be darker."
I snapped my fingers. "That's what's different."
"And I did the white nails you choose for me." Catherine said as she showed me her nails.
I gasped as I looked at it, holding her hands in mine to get a closer look. "See!" I beamed. "I knew it would make you look like a bad bitch."
"That is why I trust your judgement." She said with a small giggle.
"I am Dylan Dexwell, I know what's best for everyone except myself, the irony."
Catherine snickered. "Now, back to you, sweetheart."
I looked at her with confused expression. "What?"
"¿qué está mal?" She asked, warmly. "You looked a little lost."
I shook my head as I placed on a smile. "No es nada, I was just thinking about what to get a friend tonight for his party." I replied as I offloaded the bags
Catherine sighed softly. "If you see say."
"But," I turned to her. "Just to ask you something,"!
Catherine nodded. "Okay?"
"Are you like—, okay with you know? Hen—"
"Mom, you're back." We suddenly heard and I turned back to the groceries.
"Yes. I just got home now."
"Notice anything different?" She asked, I could hear the smile in her voice.
"Uh, you...brought...groceries?"
"Seriously?" Catherine asked.
I turned to Henry with a scowl. "You cumdumpster!" I shook my head at him. "How do you not notice your mother looking so gorgeous?"
"I—"
"See, Catherine," I interjected. "Your son is just....wow."
"That's why I prefer you, sweetheart." Catherine scoffed. "Here." She threw her fur coat at Henry. "Go drop it for me."
"I was gonna take Dylan home."
"I came with my car. Did you forget I am a car owner now?"
"Sometimes," Henry chuckled. "You always either get driven by Raven, Jon or...myself."
I opened my mouth to reply but he was right. "Well," I smiled. "When you have personal drivers, you never really wanna drive." I said and Catherine giggled.
I smiled as I looked at her and then sighed. "I remember when I kept making bad mother jokes in front of Henry, and it was bad because I thought you were dead." I said and her brows furrowed.
The energy of the room changed and it became awkward. Henry and his mom exchanged looks and then they both looked at me at the same time, and I froze. "Shit." I cursed. "I need to watch my beautiful mouth."
"Uh, yeah." Henry said.
"Anyways," I kissed Catherine on the cheek. "Bye!"
"Cuídate amor."
"tú también." I resplied.
"Your Spanish is so good now, love the improvement." Catherine said with a grin.
"Thank you!" I said as I skedaddled out of the house.
•••
"So, when are you gonna be in Harvard?"
"In a week, hopefully." I replied, my phone in loud speaker as I drove home.
"I cannot wait to see you!"
"Me too, beau! Can't believe you are smart enough to get in."
"You dickward. Of course I am smart enough to get into Harvard." He scoffed. "I would say the same to you, but I know you one hell of a smart boy."
"Aw, thank you, white boy."
"Bitch. You are also white."
"Yeah, but you're pale, Cullen."
"Asshole."
"How's Connor?"
"He's good! He didn't wanna go to a big college like me so he'll be going to stanfield."
"Hmm. For a sec, I thought you were gonna say Stanford."
"I know Connor as a smart kid, why wouldn't he want to go to a big college?"
"Cause he's Connor!" Taylor scoffed. "Pisses me off cause UCLA wants him, but boy said no."
"What in Satan's name!"
"Exactly."
"I'm gonna give your brother a call later today," I said as I took a left turn. "And then yell at his ass."
"Please use a lot of curse words."
"Oh, I will."
Taylor giggled evilly. "Makes me excited."
"Of course it does." I said and packed in the driveway in my house.
"How's Harvard?" I asked as I undid my seatbelt and stopped the engine.
"Not so bad. People look too serious here, that's why I need you."
"That bad?"
"I made a joke and these guys didn't laugh."
"Maybe because you are not funny and your joke was dead?" I replied as I got out of the car with my phone.
"My jokes are always funny!"
"Always?" I laughed. "That's reaching now, Clyde." I said as I took my phone off loud speaker and began walking towards the house.
"You just hate me."
"I don't hate you," I said as I took out my house-key from my pocket and unlocked the door, walking in and closing it behind me. "I just don't like you."
"I'm home!" I announced and began making my way to the living room. I was about to say hi when I saw someone in my living room having a conversation with my parents, someone I very much recognised. He was saying something and my mom were laughing at whatever joke he was telling.
"Oh, Dylan, you're home." Mom looked up at me with a beam.
"Yeah, I announced that like....minutes ago." I said, not taking my eyes off him.
The boy turned to look at me with a big smile and I felt some sort of happiness inside of me. I mean, I was shocked but at the same time excited.
"Hi, Dylan." He said as he got up.
I chuckled. "Timmy fucking Turner."
He laughed as he opened his arms and I ran up to him and gave him a hug. "Oh my God, what are you...doing here?"
"I got in town yesterday."
"And you didn't think to fucking tell me?"
"That is what a surprise is, Dylan." He said with a laugh and ruffled my hair.
"I have missed you." I said and hugged him again.
"This one right here is a charming young man." Mom said, a smile on her face. "I'm gonna go check on Davina now, get him whatever he needs, Dylan." Mom said and looked at Cameron. "Feel comfortable, I'll be upstairs."
"Yes, ma'am."
Mom left with a smile and went up to check on Davina. I looked at Cameron, still shocked he was in my house. "Okay, well come up to my room."
"Is that okay?"
"Um, yeah? We're friends." I said with a chuckle as I began heading for the stairs. He followed me and I led him into mine and Jaxton's room.
"Well, Jaxton and I share the room."
"Your best friend?"
"Brother." I replied with a smile.
"Wow." He said as he looked around. "Your room is nice!"
"I know." I said and he looked at me.
"Not even a thank you?"
"Would that make your dick hard if I say that?"
"Yes, please."
"Then thank you."
He looked down at his crotch area. "Ah look, that worked." He jokingly said and I laughed.
"So," he threw himself on my bed. "How's Eastwood?"
"About to not have a Dylan in a week?"
"You sound excited."
"Are you kidding?" I said as I took off my shirt and dropped it on the chair. "Who wouldn't be excited to leave this shithole? I don't know why you keep coming back here, you just seem to love it."
"Cause I do?" He said as I put on a new shirt. "I think Eastwood just doesn't like you."
I snorted. "Please. There's Jaxton, Henry, Raven, Jon, B-" I trailed off once I almost said his name. I gulped and put on a big smile. "A lot of people actually, so it's just me."
"What a coincidence that y'all just found each other." He said as I sat on the bed as well.
"How's your boyfriend by the way?"
"Dwayne?" He asked and instantly smiled.
"No, Jackson."
"Who?"
"Yea, Dwayne!" I smacked his arm.
"Ow." He laughed.
"Dumbass."
"Dwayne is good, he's visiting his parents and I spoke to him earlier."
"He really is a nice, hot, guy."
Cameron grinned. "He really is."
"I'm glad you found Dwayne cause your life would be much more worse."
He scoffed. "So you and Henry! Y'all be looking cute as hell on Instagram." He shook his head. "Now y'all are some hot ass couple."
"Yeah," I nodded. "I think so too."
Cameron looked at me with his mouth agape with incredulity. "You are one narcissistic bitch."
I snickered. "Thank you."
Cameron laughed. "Anyways, what are you doing tonight? I could really use some fun around here and not just stay with parents."
"Oh! My friend is having a party thrown for his boyfriend tonight, you can come."
"Really?" He grinned.
"Yeah! I mean, you can just say I invited you."
"Is Henry gonna be fine with that? You know he knew I used to like you?" He asked, perturbed by the thought of it.
"Would Dwayne be okay with you being on my bed?" I asked him, puckering my brows at him knowingly.
"Well, h-he knows I love him." He shrugged.
"Well," I smiled. "Henry knows I love him too. Now!" I clapped. "Did I tell you I got into Harvard?"
Cameron's eyes widen as he sat up and gasped. "SHUT. UP."
"I will not!!"
"Oh my God! Congratulations!" He said and pulled me into a hug.
"Thank you!" I giggled.
"I didn't know it was Harvard, you didn't tell me! Wow. You are about to be one rich ass, hot, badass lawyer."
"I know!" I smirked.
"Okay, you need to start knowing when to say thank you."
"But those are not compliments, they are facts." I shrugged.
"Stupid. What about Henry? What school is he going to?" Cam asked as he picked up a novel from my bed and began reading what it was about. "Is he going to Harvard too, or?"
My stomach sank once he asked that and again, a cloud of worry and concern appeared above my head and it did rain on me, okay? Like a golden shower of sadness.
I took in a sharp breath. "Uh, no." I forced a smile.
"So, what school?"
"He's not uh, he's joining the army, so."
Cameron looked up from the book and at me and I just shrugged. "Oh," he blinked. "Uh, well that's good, I guess. I mean, him choosing to do that is just bravery."
"Mmhmm," I said and sat up.
Cameron looked at me for a while. "But, you are not—happy about that, are you?"
"Who the fuck would be happy about someone they love joining the army? I know it's selfish of me and it's not my decision to make, but I am worried, okay? What if something bad happens?"
"Isn't he gonna be training? I don't think he'll —be going straight to war?" Cameron said with knitted brows, trying to make me feel a bit better.
"Yeah, but what if like someone doesn't like him and puts a grenade under his pillow?"
"Dylan," Cameron gave me a look. "Who would do that?"
"Do what? Put a grenade under his pillow? Oh, I can name about four people alright? If that person is as sane as my very sane ex boyfriend who is on the run from the police then yeah. Or if it was Eric, or something, then trust me, he would be a goner."
"You don't think Henry can protect himself?" Cameron asked. "You think—he needs you, don't you?"
"I just," I sighed. "I make everything better, and I'm not trying to hype myself up, okay, but I just know when I'm there, people don't suffer a lot cause I kinda just—stop it."
"And don't you think you need a break from that? You are always helping and saving people, but then, who's gonna save you when you need to be saved."
"Henry would. But, I don't want him to save me, I want to be the one to save him." I told him.
I was very worried. Heck, every-time I thought about him going away, I would feel like shit and me pouring it all out to Cam just proved that I needed to talk about it to someone, but I didn't wanna come out controlling or bitter or shit.
"You have a saviour complex."
"I do. I know. And it's bad, isn't it?"
"Could be." He shrugged. "Have you spoken to Henry about this?"
I sighed. "No. I mean, we did when he brought it up that first time and i don't know, I don't wanna make him feel like I don't support his decision."
"But you don't."
"I really don't. But I'm supposed to be a supportive boyfriend, he always supports me and then this is me."
"You are worried, it's also a boyfriend thing." Cameron said with a smile. "And that is what matters."
"It bothers me a whole lot."
"Have that conversation. Communication is key, you know?"
"Well, maybe this door needs to be closed."
Cameron chuckled. "You are something else. Speaking of one of the people you mentioned earlier."
I frowned, a bit confused on who he was referring to. "Which of them?"
"The ex."
"Oh,"
"Are you okay? I mean, I didn't wanna bring it up, but," he shrugged.
"Am I okay? I am not." I shook my head. "The man I trusted to handle shit for me, broke the guy who shot me, tried to kill henry and my friends, tried to rape my friend, rape me, ruin my life, out of jail and is on the run with him. Literally running around countries with a criminal, so no, Timmy Turner, I am so not okay." I told him.
"And it hurts like shit. Because Ambrose Fisher knew everything he had done to me and still, he ran away with him and I know this was all Johnathan's plan. So, if they are not caught by the time I am done with college, I'll find them, become a fucking bad ass lawyer and put them in prison for good. For ever." I said. "But since Johnathan has gotten out of jail two times, it'll have to be something worse, or maybe, maybe get them a death sentence."
"Jesus, you will do that?" Cameron asked and I slowly looked at him and placed a smile on my face.
Without a second thought.
"No. Of course not." I said in a very calm voice.
"Jesus, cause you had me a little worried."
No. The people who should be worried are Detective Fisher and Johnathan. Cause if I ever get to find them , I'll handle their case in court and make sure they suffer greatly for it.
"Ugh. I'm hungry, Dylan." Cameron cried.
"You haven't eaten?"
"No. Not yet. Your mother offered me something to eat but I was being a good boy and said no."
"Stupid."
"You always talk about your mom's food. You said she has a restaurant, right?"
I nodded. "Mmhmm. I help her sometimes, and some of my friends are employees. But yeah, come down with me and I'll get your ugly ass something." I said as I got out of my bed.
"Why don't you work for your mom?"
"Cause she won't pay me."
***
"Does this look too slutty?" I asked, turning to Jaxton and Jon. I was wearing a low waist black pant and a black top that had no back.
Jaxton looked away from his phone and at Jon, who did the same before looking back at me.
"Dylan, it's a congratulations and farewell party for Tyler, not a night of BDSM at Zach's." Jaxton said and I just stared at him for a few seconds.
I groaned and took off the shirt, I tossed it at Jon who caught it and looked at me. "Babes, just thrown on a shirt."
"You should know by now, sweetheart, that I won't just wear anything." I said as I went through my closet. "Aha!" I grinned and took something out of my closet, I rushed into the bathroom to put it on.
"Christian's calling." Jaxton announced. "We need to be there before Tyler, Dylan, but if you spend eternity picking a shirt, we'll end up being the celebrant."
"Shut up." I said as I came out of the bathroom, I was now wearing a silver crop top.
"Wow." Jon chuckled.
"Dylan, baby, you have your jockstrap peaking out.
"That is the point." I said as I picked up a leather jacket and put it on, before walking to the mirror to check myself out. "I look good."
"Are you trying to seduce somebody?" Jon asked.
"Me looking good is not for someone." I told him.
"Okay," Jaxton said as he got up. "Let's go, let's go. The party isn't for us, it is for Tyler."
I quickly put on my boots , grabbed my purselike bag and car keys and followed them out of the room.
"Do you all have your gifts for Tyler?" Jon asked as we walked down the stairs.
"Mine's in my bag." I replied.
"Mine's at Christian's. Since we helped earlier with the arrangements, I just left it there so I don't forget."
"You?" I asked Jon.
"With me." He answered.
"Ah, well don't you boys look lovely." Mom said once we got down from the stairs as she came out of the kitchen, holding a glass of water.
"Thank you, Mom. We will be back like—ten?" Jaxton said.
"Midnight." I corrected. "Let's not give a time we won't be back at." I told Jaxton.
He nodded. "Right. Midnight."
"You boys be safe, alright? Don't drive if you're drunk, one of you better be sober." She said, pointing her glass at me.
I frowned. "Uh, I don't always get drunk."
"Mmhmm." she said and walked to the living room.
"Bye, Dad!" I yelled out to him.
He quickly shushed me and then I saw Davina sleeping in his arms and I clasped my mouth. "Sorry." I mouthed. They were all watching Hotel Transylvania.
"Bye, Sophie." I kissed her head.
"By, beautiful." Jon waved at her.
Sophie blushed. "Bye!" She grinned at him.
Yes. She had a crush on my Jon.
"We'll be back soon, okay?" Jaxton said to her and she nodded.
"Get me cupcakes." She whispered to us.
"Yes, ma'am." We all chorused and left the house, and went to my car.
"Okay, boys." I said as I got into the car. "Seatbelts, and let us go have some fun."
****
"You guys are late." Raven said as we walked in.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it was Dylan's fault." Jaxton said as he hugged her.
"Hey! Whatever happened to saying it was traffic?" I turned to him.
"Sorry." He mouthed and went over to Dominic.
"Hi, Lois." I hugged Raven.
"You look hot." She said, admiring my outfit.
"I always look hot, what do you mean?"
"Dylan!!" A voice called.
I grinned and walked over to the Christian's brothers. "Hello, boys." I said and did our own made handshake, yes the boys taught me this one handshake and called it "Doomsday."
Christian's house was decorated beautifully, there was a lot of food, two cakes, all types of drinks and a banner that said "Congratulations, Tyler." There were already a number of people here, about fifteen of us here, all of us being Tyler's friends.
"You guys look good." I told the boys.
"You look like you came to a club." James said and I gave a small nod.
"Thank you for the compliment, now y'all make sure no one steals anything or hide any food, yeah? Where's your brother?"
"Getting Tyler."
"Right. So, they should be here anytime soon. Thank God we are not so late. I'll be right back." I told them and walked over to Henry who was with Zach and Dominic talking about God knows what, with a beer in their hand.
Henry's eyes were fixated on me, a smile on his face as he watched me walk over to him with a smirk. His eyes scanned me from head to toe and back to head.
"Hello, boyfriend."
He opened his arms and welcomed me in. "Hi, beautiful." He said as he wrapped his arms around me and I dd the same, I kissed him and told him he looked good. He was wearing a black silk shirt and black pants which he had tucked in the shirt, looking like some sort of CEO, a silver necklace on his neck.
"Hey Dork, work to ignore me." Zach said.
"I had to say hi to my man first, Jesus, calm down third boyfriend." I said and hugged Dominic.
"Hi, love. How are you?"
"I'm good. You look amazing by the way." Dom said.
"Thank you, babes."
"Hey, Dom." Jaxton appeared out of nowhere. "Can you come help me in the kitchen, please." He said. "Sorry I'm stealing him." He said as he pulled Dominic with him.
"And then you." I looked at Zach. "You look good."
"Thanks." He smiled. "What took you guys so long?" He asked while I cuddled my boyfriend while standing.
"Traffic." I lied.
"Okay, guys!" Raven shouted, getting all our attention. "They are gonna be here in five minutes. Turn off the lights, everyone stay quiet and no one say surprise until they are inside the house and the door is closed."
Jon walked over to us with two beers in his hand, he handed one to me and stood next to Zach. "How come no one did this for me?" Jon asked.
"Well, Gwen could have but she's gone." I shrugged.
Gwen had left Eastwood four days after Graduation and straight to get settled for college, we all still spoke almost everyday and Quinn as well had left the next day after Graduation, after the whole Claudia saga, she left town, in her words; "I have had enough of this cursed town, let me start a new chapter of my life were I'm less of a bitch."
I smiled at the thought of her, we still texted of course. She was in Paris at the moment, I have no idea what college she was in, I mean I do , I just can't remember it's name at the moment, all I knew was that she was in Paris.
The lights went off and everyone moved away from the door and stayed at a corner, waiting for Christian to come in with sweet Tyler.
Henry's hands which were around my waist went to my back and gripped my ass. "I'm definitely having you tonight," he whispered into my ear and bit my earlobe.
"Behave." I whispered back. "Tyler will be here in any second."
"I may be a bit excited already," he said, whispering into my ear as he pulled me closer to him to feel the bulge in his pants as it poked me in the ass.
I looked behind me to look at him, even though I couldn't see his face, I hoped he could magically see my expression.
"You better calm you down." I told him.
"He's in the hallway." Raven whisper yelled and we went silent.
Seconds later, the door opened and a giggling Tyler walked in. "Why is it so dark?" He asked as he walked in and Christian came in after him, closing the door behind him.
"Oh shit, let me get the lights." Christian said and when he turned it on , we all shouted "Surprise!"
Tyler flinched, startled at the chant and surprised to see all of us here. He chuckled. "What is going on? It's n-not my birthday?"
"'Maybe check the banner behind you, sweetie." I said and he did.
"This party, love." Christian pulled him closer to him. "Is me congratulating you on making it to Stanford. For being amazing and being a smart ass, and I'm sending you off to the school of your dreams."
Tyler snickered. "You also got into Stanford, silly."
"I know," He nodded. "But I've always had parties thrown for me, I wanted to do one for you. Not for me, but to celebrate you and to say Thank you for loving me and being by my side. And, I know we are all like still kids even though I'm nineteen now," he chuckled. "But uh," Christian got on his knees and my eyes widen while Jon gasped.
"Oh my God." Zach said.
"Did you know about this?" Henry asked me.
"I did not know about this part of the script." I answered. "Why is he proposing to Tyler? He's a kid."
"Shush." Henry said.
"Oh MY GOD!" Someone squealed and we all turned to the voice.
"Sorry." Jaxton apologised, while we all laughed.
"Don't be scared, I am not gonna ask you to marry me,"
"Okay," Tyler chuckled. "Thank God." He said.
Christian laughed. "Because we still have a lot of aspirations and dreams and we are definitely not ready for marriage, we are not even twenty yet, but," he took out a ring box from his pocket and took out the sparkling silver ring.
"Babes?" I whisper called
"Yes?" Henry answered.
"Ain't this still a proposal?"
"Looks like it." Henry replied.
"This is a promise ring." Christian said, and Henry and I let out a sigh of relief.
I smiled as I watched Tyler try not to cry while Christian spoke. "You have made me a better person, you made me love that show Adventure time , you make me happy and I want to always be with you and have you in my life. So , with this promise ring, I promise in front of all our friends, to love you always."
"While this is not a marriage or engagement. I will be there for you during the bad and the good. I will continue to be the rock you need always, and to love you unconditionally, Tyler. You are goal driven, smart as hell and I couldn't be more lucky to have such a person who makes me happy and who is also happy with me." He said and Tyler burst out crying.
"Sorry, they are tears of joy." He sniffed.
"Oh, I know." Christian said and we all laughed.
Watching this two, I couldn't stop smiling. They loved each other and were happy, and I set them up. They had come a long way and they loved and understood each other so much, a tear fell from my eye and I quickly wiped it off.
"We fight, yes, but we know not to sleep with anger,"
"Kinda like us," I said. "We fuck with anger." I said and Henry laughed in my ear.
"And," Christian continued. "I love how we settle our arguments and when I do something stupid, you don't stop loving me."
"Sounds like someone I know." Henry said and I elbowed him.
"So Tyler, will you please accept this promise ring of mine and let me love you forever? And then, maybe I can get you na engagement ring later?"
Tyler laughed, wiping off his tears. "Of course, stupid. I don't exactly want another boyfriend." He said and we all clapped and celebrated them as Christian put the ring in his finger.
"They really are so cute." Henry said, and I nodded in agreement.
"They really are. Okay, bye." I told him and was about to leave when he pulled me back.
"Um, you can't exactly leave. I still have a boner and I need you to kinda be a shield, please?"
I turned to Henry. "Oh, of course, darling." I nodded. "I'll be back in ten minutes." I said and ran off.
"D-" he called but I was gone, I looked back at him with a taunting smile and he turned to hide his boner.
"Tyler! Oh my God, Congratulations." I hugged him.
"Dylan!!!" He squealed once he saw me and hugged me tightly. "Oh my God, I am so happy."
"I am so happy for you too, love! As much as I want you two to be together forever, I am glad he ain't actually propose propose cause you still young and need all the fun you can get."
"Dylan, If he had proposed, he would have heard a no. I cant get married or be engaged."
"Good, cause I would support you a hundred percent." I said and he laughed. "But, oh my God, let me see that ring." I said and he showed me the sparkling silver ring.
Definitely expensive.
"Wow, boo, this ring? It is so beautiful. Chile! The bitch sparkles." I said and he laughed.
This definitely an engagement ring. If this is a promise ring, then what the engagement ring gonna be? Brimstone and fire?
"And by the way, you look stunning." He said.
"Tonight is not about me, but thank you."
"Tylerr!!" Jaxton ran over to him and hugged him. "Oh my God, congratulations, baby."
"Thank you." He giggled. "Oh my God, I am so excited to see every one of you here, it flipping means a lot to me."
"You know you can curse, right?" I told him.
"Yeah. But doesn't feel right in my mouth." He said and Jaxton chuckled.
"Fair enough, my sweet innocent boy." I said and he laughed.
"Thank you for coming, and being here. I am really glad you all are here and all this is just....wow." Tyler said, his eyes suddenly watery as he looked around.
"Don't go crying now, love. I mean, you're not gonna make me cry, but don't go crying." I said.
Tyler laughed and then looked behind me. "Heyy, James, Simon!!" He excited called out to them, I looked behind to see they were already coming our way.
"How did y'all not snitch?" Tyler asked them.
"Definitely not because Dylan said he would sew our mouths together and drop us in his basement." Simon said and Tyler looked at me.
"They said Definitely not." I shrugged.
"Well this one here," Jaxton pointed at me. "Is not blushing."
"Well, thank you guys, really." Tyler said to them.
"No worries. You are not annoying and so I know you know we love you." Jacob said and Tyler smiled.
"Well, if Mrs. Tate and little Tates will excuse me, I am gonna go get me something to eat." I said and began to take some steps backwards. "Want anything?" I asked.
"Uh, I'll have-"
I looked at Simon and cocked my brow at him. He instantly swallowed his words and smiled. "I'll have nothing, I'm not exactly hungry."
"That is exactly what I like to hear, and hey! Stay away from the booze, if I smell anything on you Jacob or you Simon, your testicles will be hanging on the door."
"But, I'm fifteen." Simon said with a frown.
"And?"
"When did you start drinking?" Jacob asked me.
"Fifteen. But I'm more responsible now, and cant have y'all drinking."
"Why?" Jacob whined.
"Boy, you shouldn't even say anything, aren't you eleven?"
"Twelve." He corrected.
"Let me not even smell a spill on you." I told him. "Now, if you'll excuse me." I walked away.
"Hey, Christian!!" I walked over to where he was, having a conversation with Raven and the boys.
"Oh, Dylan. Thank you so much for your help and for coming." He said as he hugged me.
"Of course." I hugged him back. "You are an amazing boyfriend by the way."
Christian chuckled. "Well, thank you, I guess." He blushed.
"This might be our last gathering together as friends? Some of us will be leaving town this week or not." Raven said and I sighed.
"True." Christian said as if it had just hit him.
"Well, my ass will still be in this town." Dominic said and took a sip from his beer.
"Why not apply for college and leave this town?" I asked him. "Your mom is cancer free, and you don't exactly have to stay, you can finally pursue your dreams." I told him.
"He has a point, you know?" Zach said.
"What even is your dream?" I asked him.
Dominic shrugged. "I uh, I never really let myself dream." He said with a forced smile.
"Oh," Raven muttered.
"That is like fucking sad, bro." Zach said.
"Well," I held his hand. "'Now you can dream, it is never too fucking late to have a dream. I had a dream to leave town and I'll be here in less than 14days." I said and he chortled.
"Find that damn dream, and go pursue it." I told him and with a smile, he nodded.
"I am so gonna miss you when you leave this town."
"I know. You love me loads."
He laughed. "Yeah, I kinda do." He said and opened his arms for a hug, and of course I hugged him.
"Where's Jon?"
"A call with Gwen." Zach answered.
"So, Miss Yale." I walked over to Raven.
"Mmhmm," she beamed.
"You'll be leaving on Saturday."
"I will be." She nodded.
"I already miss your dumb mean self." I said with a sigh. "It really is gonna suck without you guys, but give it a week and I'll forget you guys existed."
"Like that is possible." Raven scoffed.
"Don't forget I was in a coma where y'all didn't exist and Raven was brunette. After that nightmare, I am sure I can handle anything, babes." I told her.
"Wait, who is that? Is that?" Raven asked, I followed her eyes and turned to see Cameron with his hands in his pockets, looking around awkwardly for a face that was familiar.
"Is that-?" I heard Henry asked.
I turned to him and nodded. "My friend." I said and his face went dark.
"Hey!" I turned and waved. "Timmy Turner!" I walked over to him with a smile and once he saw me, his eyes lit up.
"Oh, thank God." He said as he walked over to me. "I was here like how come I don't know anyone in limbo?"
"Maybe because you are not so important, but you didn't hear that from me."
He looked gobsmacked . "Dylan, it literally just came out of your mouth." He said and I gasped.
"Did it? Oh dear. I was just saying what everyone was thinking."
"You bitch."
I laughed. "So, where's the boy the party is for?"
"Ah, come." I held his hand and took him to Tyler who was talking with someone.
"Babes, hey! Sorry for invading your space again. I wanted to introduce you to a friend of mine." I said. "Cameron."
Tyler turned and smiled. "Um, hi."
"Uh, congratulations on getting into Stanford, Timothy."
"Tyler."
"Tyler. Sorry, Tyler." He said after I corrected him.
Tyler laughed. "It's alright, and thank you. I don't think I have seen you in school before?"
"Oh, you haven't." I told him. "He's a college student, I met him at—a club?"
"Yes. Where you stole my ring."
Tyler's brows furrowed at me. "I didn't exactly steal it. I was drunk and asshole! You gave it to me!"
"This one is a bad drunk." Cameron said and I elbowed him while Tyler laughed.
"Shut up."
"Well, it is nice to meet you, Cameron. You seem really fun, and thank you for coming."
"Of course. I was in town and I didn't exactly have anything to do tonight, so this demon here invited me."
"And you are welcome."
"Well, there is food, drinks, just help yourself out to anything." Tyler told him with a big smile.
"Of course. Congratulations, again."
"And sorry for interrupting you guys." I said to the girl Tyler had been talking to. "Now," I looked at Cameron. "Let's go say to my friends." I said and took him to them.
"Guys, I will like to introduce you to my friend, Cameron Turner, I call him Timmy Turner."
"Hi," Raven shook his hand with a big smile. "I have heard so much about you that it is almost like I know you already."
"Uh, hi. You must be Raven."
"I am. I see he mentioned me."
"A few times, yes. You are stunning by the way."
"And taken." Zach said and pulled Raven towards him.
"Hi, Cameron." Jaxton smiled at him, it was a fake smile. "Jaxton," he waved slightly and looked at me.
"Right. The brother. Hi!"
"Dylan, can I....speak to you for a sec."
"Can I say no?"
Jaxton sighed and walked over to me, he grabbed me by the arm, pulling me away from the others.
"You invited Cameron?"
"He was in town."
"You know how Henry feels about him."
"Cameron is my friend, Jaxton. I don't see what the problem is."
"Yeah, he wanted to be in your pants when you were dating Henry."
"No, he actually wanted to date me cause he liked me, not just to fuck me. But he is my friend, and we have a great bond and anyone who doesn't like that, should deal with it, not my problem." I shrugged.
"Have you seen Henry's face?" Jaxton asked and I turned to look at an irritated and angry looking Henry.
"He looks fine." I said and looked back at Jaxton.
"Dylan," he tilted his head to the side.
"Listen. Cameron has a boyfriend, okay? His name is Dwayne and they've been together for so fucking long now. And, if I can't hang out with Cameron, then I shouldn't be here either cause Christian used to have a crush on me too." I flashed him a smile. "I mean, it is exactly the same things and Henry didn't like Christian's guts too."
Jaxton didn't say anything for a couple seconds and his eyes I could tell he knew I was right, but at the same time he was concerned. "Yeah, you may be right but-"
"Oh honey, I'm always right. Now, do not worry about me. I think I can handle myself and my big bad wolf boyfriend. Henry is my boyfriend and I love him and my relationship with him or with Cameron shouldn't be questioned, cause I'm not a cheat."
"You are right, I'm sorry."
"Thank you. I mean, if I wanted to cheat, I'd probably kiss Jon or Henry's brother." I said as I walked back to the others.
Cameron, Zach and and Dominic seemed to have really hit it off and bonded because they were suddenly laughing and talking about God knows what.
"So, what schools are y'all going to?" Cameron asked as Jaxton and I joined them back. I walked over to Henry and rested my back against his chest.
"Why is he here?" Henry whisper asked.
"Because I invited him."
"Why?"
"Because he needed an invitation."
"I know Dylan is going to Harvard." He said and winked at me.
"Yale, here." Raven said. "I'm feeling a bit like making my mark."
"Oh, I know you'll have no problem doing that." Cameron said and Raven smirked.
"I like this one." She said with a laugh.
"T.A.O.A." Jaxton said and Cameron brows flew up in surprise.
"Wow. The Academy Of Arts? That is very impressive. Do y'all know how hard it is to get into that school? Jesus, you must have an amazing talent. It's like going to NYADA or....broadway. Congratulations on that, that is very huge." He said and Jaxton smiled softly, his energy towards Cameron suddenly changing.
"Uh, thank you. Glad someone knows how fucking important The Academy Of Arts is." Jaxton said and looked at all of us.
"Jaxton, the fuck. I know how important it is." I said and he rolled his eyes. "Bitch." I muttered.
When everyone answered, Cameron didn't ask Henry and just congratulated everyone on getting into the school of their choice.
Henry scoffed and took a sip from his drink. "What a kiss ass." He said. I believe it was supposed to be a mutter, but every one of us heard it and looked at him and it became fucking quiet.
"Excuse me?" Cameron asked him.
"Henry, stop." I said and looked at Cameron. "He didn't say anything."
"I said kiss ass." Henry said again. "You are literally kissing everyone's ass here, trying to be on their good side knowing fully well they hate your guts."
"Henry!" I moved away from him and turned to him all shocked. "Nobody hates him."
"I don't know what your problem is Henry, but maybe go sort it out and not drag me into your thing." Cameron said. "I am only trying to have a conversation with my friend's friends."
Henry laughed. "Yeah, right. Look, boy, I don't know what your–"
"I am not your boy," Cameron instantly corrected. "I am older than you with a couple years so I am not your boy."
"Doesn't change anything, comic con." Henry retorted.
"Okaay," Raven looked away awkwardly and took a large sip from her drink.
"Henry, you are being an asshole."
"Guys, we don't— wanna get loud and ruin Tyler's party." Zach said, scratching the back of his head.
"You fucking brought a guy who has a fucking crush on you here, Dylan." Henry said, pointing at Cameron. "And I'm the asshole?"
"If you keep behaving like a fucking child then I shouldn't be expecting anything mature coming from you," I angrily snapped back as I took a step towards him. "Just like the words coming out of your mouth, Ashcroft." I whisper yelled and titled my head to the side. "He is my friend who I invited here. He has a boyfriend who he is happy with, Henry. I have you and you have me but somehow, that shit is not enough for you to understand."
"Dylan, that is not what I'm saying, what I mean is—"
"You are not okay with Cameron being here, that's your problem, not mine because he is a good friend. I was not okay with Claudia too, but she was around until shit escalated." I said and his face softened, a bit of hurt in his eyes like I had hit something.
"I am also not fucking okay with you joining the army, but that is my own fucking problem, isn't it? And there is nothing, nothing, neither of us can do about it except just suck it up, right?" I swallowed, trying not to raise my voice so people don't notice. "So please, stop being a fucking asshole and suck it up." I sneered and after seeing the hurt, shock and confusion in his eyes, I walked away so I wouldn't have to show how angry and sad I was as well.
HENRY's POV.
I watched Dylan storm off and head for the stairs, but not before catching a glimpse of how angry and devastated he looked. He mentioning Claudia made my stomach sink, but there was also something that had been bothering him, and that was me joining into the army. He hadn't mentioned it except that one time, but he had been thinking about it, haven't he?
"Look, man." The blonde Netflix looking serial killer said, and my eyes shifted to his and I glared at him, wanting to rip this man into tiny pieces. "If you do not trust me, the one thing you should have known is to trust your boyfriend. If you don't trust Dylan, then what the hell are you even doing being with him?" He asked with a shrug, and as much as I wanted to bash his head on the wall, he was right and all I could do was stand there and look at him.
"It's okay to be jealous but,"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not jealous of you, you never stood a chance."
Serial Killer boy laughed. "Apparently I did, if you are so riled up."
"Keep speaking," I said and flashed him a smile.
"Okaaay," Zach put his arm around Cameron. "Come on boy, let's go some place else right about now."
"Why? I'm not done speaking to him." Cameron said and Zach began pulling him away.
"Oh, just the last person he told 'keep speaking', ended up with their teeth on their floor, so, we don't wanna turn Tyler's congratulations party to Carrie now, do we?" Zach said as they went away.
I sighed and rubbed the back of my head, I turned and looking at me was Jaxton with folded arms and cocked brows, and Raven with a scowl.
"What?" I asked them.
"Seriously?" Raven asked.
"I get you are mad, Henry, and you have every right to be jealous, and honestly I was scared this would happen, like I saw it from a mile away." Jaxton said. "But, Dylan choose you, he did and you should always remember that. Hell, Christian had a crush on him too, and it's the same situation with Cameron, so, he does also have every right to be mad at you for this, and apparently he's mad about something else too."
"You love each other," Raven said and I shifted my gaze to her. "So suck it up and you both go patch things because he's gonna be leaving Eastwood soon and you will be gone soon, do you both really want to leave on a bad note?"
"I don't know what to say, I just—I just got really-"
"We understand," Jaxton said with a small nod. "But what would you rather do? Stand here to justify your fight or go sort things out with the ice queen?"
I sighed heavily. "I swear to God, that Johnny Bravo boy makes me wanna just pull out his eyes."
"Easy now, Jason Voorhees." Raven grimaced. "You can do that later,"
"You mean never." Jaxton looked at her.
"Jaxton!" She called. "If he wants to kill Cameron, it's not our business! We are just like a bridge, we guide these boys to their paths, and turn a blind eye to every other thing." She said.
"But then aren't we like an accomplice?"
"Well, no because-"
"Okaay," Dominic cut in, appearing in their middle. "Henry, if you stay here for another five seconds you will lose your mind and forget your purpose. Go." He said with a smile.
I nodded. "Thanks." I said and walked away, I headed for the stairs, not bothering to return smiles to the people who waved or said hi because not to sound like an arrogant brat, but they wouldn't talk to me on a normal day, so me being at Tyler's event doesn't exactly make us acquaintances. I looked through the rooms for Dylan and when I opened Christian's room door, I saw a figure sitting on the bed in the dark.
"Dylan?" I called, trying to know if he was the one, but I got no answer. I turned on the light switch and it was him indeed, he rolled his eyes as he let out a huge disappointment sigh.
"Jesus, Henry, can you turn that off?"
"You didn't answer when I called out to you." I said as I walked in and closed the door behind me.
"Maybe," he flashed me a fake smile. "I didn't want to, you know? Talk to you." He said as he angrily got up from the bed. "Take a fucking hint!" He said as he gripped his phone and stormed towards me, he couldn't leave since I was blocking the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Out of your sight. Or what? You don't trust me enough to be on my own? Maybe, I'll be fucking someone who has a crush on me?"
"Okay, Dyl. Dyl. Dyl. Look, I'm sorry." I said as I closed the door behind me and placed my hands on his shoulders "I know I acted like a douchebag, but can I really be blamed when I saw you with that unseasoned chicken?"
"Yes! You are!" He shrugged my hands off. "That unseasoned chicken is my friend." He glared at me. "Now get out of the way because I want to exit this entire scene."
"You didn't even tell me about him!" I said, in disbelief. "That he was coming tonight, or that he was in town!"
"I didn't know he was in town until today, and then I gave him an invite cause he didn't have anything to do TONIGHT! I don't have shit to hide."
"It's not my fault that I got....jealous. The last time I saw him, he wanted you and literally tried to steal you and I don't like that, cause I know how he used to look at you. Just like he wanted to just kiss you and take you away."
"You only fucking met him once."
"And I knew he wanted you!! I'm not used to Camera being around,"
"Cameron." He corrected.
"So, I think my anger is sort of justified." I finished my sentence, ignoring him.
"Hmmph. Well, would you look at that." He cocked his head to the side. "The mother fucking parallel of this fucking moment," he threw his hands sideways. "It was the fucking same thing with Claudia, and you paid me no attention."
That damn name again.
"Dylan. I apologised for Claudia, I didn't know she was—"
"What? At least Timmy Turner isn't a fucking psycho!" He yelled.
"We don't even know if Cannibal is Claudia with a penis!" I yelled back.
"He is not!" He sneered. "I am almost never wrong. Take Claudia for fucking example."
"Can you please stop mentioning Claudia?" I rubbed my forehead, a hand on my waist.
"Why don't you listen to me and pay attention and just try to understand me?" He said, and I looked at him.
There was something different about the way he had asked that. He was not referring to his friend Koriand'r , but something else.
"Why don't you trust me?" He asked, holding back tears.
"I do trust you."
"No, you don't." He laughed. "You always act like you know everything, well what if you think you know something and end up blowing yourself up?" He asked and then it hit me.
"Dylan," I cupped his face. "Listen to me. I trust you, and I love you a whole lot. I'm just a jealous , stupid boy." I told him. "I'm sorry that I acted like an asshole to you," I said and he looked away, avoiding contact. "I just don't know Camille and my last memory of him is so not a good one, but I trust you, just not him." I said and he looked back at me.
"And there is something you are not saying too, Dylan." I said and he just watched me. "About me going off to the army." I said, and the tears fell from his eyes as he placed his hands on mine which were still on his face.
"What if—, what if something bad happens? Someone puts a grenade under you pillow, or you mistakenly unpin it? I read that some people die or have bad injuries during trainings. And I just worry that the day you decide to go training, is the day World War 4 starts." He said. "I don't want you getting hurt."
I smiled, seeing how much he was worried about me. It was cute, I understood his concern for me and it made me so lucky to have him as mine.
"I will come back in one piece and I will be okay, I promise." I told him. "If someone puts a grenade under my pillow, what's it gonna do? Blow my brains out?" I scoffed. "You already do that to me." I said and he broke a smile.
"Stop. It is not funny."
I chuckled as I pulled him closer, my arms around his waist. "It kinda is."
He sighed. "I just worry," he said. "And it is making me insane that I cannot protect you."
"Why do you feel like you have to protect everyone, Dylan?" I asked. "Why do you always want to save everyone and not let people save you even?"
He didn't say anything and just looked at me, not with anger but more like he was thinking about something or like what I had said had brought back a memory.
"You took a bullet for me, babes. I am not weak, and I know how to take care of me. I have my reasons for going into the army, and then I'll be able to protect you better. It would be my turn, so please." I smiled softly at him. "I need you to know it's okay."
His eyes were clouded with tears that he tried so hard to not let fall as he just looked at me. "I think something flew into my eyes cause I am literally about to cry right now." He said and we both laughed.
He sniffed and wiped off the tears that fell. "I am sorry I was being a bitch."
"And I'm sorry I was being an asshole."
"Cameron is not a threat."
"Got it." I nodded.
"Repeat after me. Cameron is not a threat."
"Calories is not a threat."
He laughed. "Why are you here calling him everything that isn't Cameron?"
"You are one to talk," I chuckled. "I learned that from you."
"I am not good with names, you are just petty."
"Pfft. Please." I rolled my eyes.
Dylan laughed and then hugged me afterwards. "I should have spoken to you earlier about this, I just didn't want you to feel like I was dictating your life or trying to."
"I understand, babes." I kissed him on the head. "I understand."
"I love you, Ashcroft."
I looked at him and kissed him on the lips. "I love you too, Dexwell."
Just then there was a knock on the door. We both sighed as Dylan pulled away from me and went to the door, as he opened it he was already snapping.
"I will fucking cut your balls o-" he trailed off once he saw who it was. "Jon. Sorry, I was about to lose my shit thinking it was someone I didn't like." He said but Jon said nothing in return which made me frown.
I walked over to Dylan and stood behind him, and looking at Jon he had this gloomy look like he had lost someone, hopefully not.
"You okay?" i asked him.
"Yeah, you look like you wanna cry?" Dylan said.
"Uh, Is this a good time? I can come back?" He said.
"It is a good time, what do you mean?" Dylan chuckled. "It is always a good time to talk."
"Um," he faked a smile.
"I think Gwen is gonna break up with me." He said and Dylan's smile fell, while my brows flew up.
"What?" Dylan and I asked at the same time.
