jungkook had just arrived at the hospital, heading towards the youth section with a bag of taehyung's stuff in his hand. he was heading towards the room that both the baby and taehyung were meant to be staying in. 

when he entered his eyes landed on taehyung who was sitting by a crib, silently crying as he watched the baby sleep. 

"babe?" jungkook whispered, placing the bag on one of the chairs when taehyung turned his attention towards him. the brunette got up and was immediately pulled into jungkook's arms. 

"I d-dont k-know what to do g-guk, I cant raise a baby" taehyung sobbed, feeling really overwhelmed as jungkook rubbed his back. 

"I know this is overwhelming love, but if anyone can raise this baby it is you. I have seen the way you treat him. I am not going to lie but myeong was not the greatest parent. she was struggling and instead of trying to get help or anything she put her baby in danger."

"how many times did she leave the door wide open in the middle of the night and you had to go and shut it. when was the last time that baby was properly bathed" 

"I am sorry for what happened to myeong in her past but, she had a child who needed her attention and love. she could of gotten help, she clearly trusted you with him" the raven whispered, sharing his thoughts with taehyung who's head was rested against jungkook's chest. 

"but why did she even change it? did she know something was going to happen to her? was she planning on ending her own life? h-how could she not want to stay and continue on for her son" taehyung whispered, closing his eyes when he felt jungkook's hand run through his hair. 

"I know, honestly I feel like she would of if she was not murdered." jungkook said honestly, he may have a different opinion when it came to myeong. but what has just happened is sad. 

taehyung let out a silent sob as he kept his eyes shut. as jungkook was comforting taehyung his eyes were looking at the baby that was asleep in the crib. he had no idea what they were going to do but all he knows is whatever taehyung decides to do he will have his back every step of the way. 

"taehyung?" a voice called out from the hospital hallway, they both pulled away slowly as they turned their attention over to the nurse and doctor who had just walked in with a folder in her hand. 

"yes" taehyung replied, wiping his eyes as he looked towards the doctor who shook both their hands. 

"we went over the legal papers and it looks like myeong had changed her sons legal guardian to you two weeks ago" the doctor said, handing over the papers to show that taehyung was now the babies legal guardian. 

'that would of been the first day I looked after him' taehyung thought. 

"we have seen this happy more times then you would suspect, there is an option for you to give him up for adoption or you can raise him as your own. I know this is a huge decision but we can only give you till tomorrow morning" the doctor said, his voice soft as he tried his best to be supportive. 

"we have the babies health information after running a few tests, he is not in any danger at the moment but he is not what a healthy baby should look like. he is not been properly fed, bathed or had any time of nurturing care"

"we have seen this happen a lot and its from a mothers or parents neglected care" the doctor explained. taehyung already had a feeling this was happening he just hoped that  myeong would turn things around for her boy. 

"if this continued on for another month the baby would of passed in his sleep" the nurse added quietly. taehyung was surprised to hear that, he had no idea that was possible. 

"I will come check on you both in the morning, by then when you have decided... let me know and we will go through how to help him become healthier." the doctor said, shaking both their hands as they left. 

taehyung sighed, closing his eyes. he had such a huge decision to make. jungkook already knew what he would of decided on if he was in this situation but he is not taehyung. 

"how about we go to the cafeteria and get something to eat?" jungkook questioned, looking at his boyfriend who nodded slowly. their hands linked together as they left the room and headed towards the cafe inside the hospital. 

"what do you feel like?" jungkook asked, as they looked at what was being served. 

"let's grab mac and cheese, and some toasted sandwiches. we can share both" taehyung said, watching as jungkook grabbed the food. soon enough they were trying to find a table, once they sat down they dug in. 

people walking past them, they both looked around as they ate to see a lot of people in the cafe. taehyung could not help but to ears drop on the lady next to them who was talking with another women. 

"I am telling you I regret adopting, that little shit did my head in" 

"so why do you still have him?" 

"cause i get money from the government. its like free work just with the stress, the kid wont shut up about how much he hates it here and how much he wants to go back to the orphanage." the lady said, taehyung's eyes landed on her name tag that showed she worked in this hospital. 

it was so disappointing to hear what she said, he wrote down on his phone her name and worker number. turning off his phone when he felt jungkook's fingers graze his hand, he looked up to see the raven looking worried. 

"do you have any idea?" jungkook asked softly, linking his fingers with taehyung's. 

"I cant let go, not knowing who he could end up with. but my parents would kill me if they found out I adopted a child" taehyung whispered, letting all his thoughts out. 

"you would not be doing it alone, I will be with you. we could raise him together. I know it will be hard work and many up's and downs but we could give him a life that he deserves. I can teach him how to surf, you can teach him how to bake. your parents will come around to it, it may take time but eventually they will gush over him" 

"you can move into my place with him, you sleep in my room and I can turn my spear room into his room. we can make this work taehyung, only if you want it to" jungkook whispered. 

"if you were in my place what would you do?" taehyung asked

"I would adopt him, no second thoughts" jungkook replied, rubbing his fingers along taehyung's hand. 

"eventually we would have adopted anyways, I know we are young but things happen and if this is the way out life is going to go, why not turn it into something beautiful. I have seen the way your with him, you adore him and care for him as if he is your own" taehyung looked up at jungkook who smiled

"the choice is yours but just know I will be by your side whatever you choose" the raven said before he went back to eating. taehyung was glad he had that conversation with him, one of hsi worries was that if he decided to adopt the baby that jungkook would leave him. 

but those worries and insecurities just washed away.
