a few weeks have gone by and school was becoming overwhelming. lots of assessments and preparation for exams. many students spent time in classes during break time to work on assessments, taehyung was one of those students. he spent the past few weeks really working on his art project, he had sketched out three beautiful views that mean a lot to him and figured out what he was going to do for the last one, now he just had to sketch it out. 

he planned to leave the paint part to the last week which was next week, wanting to make sure he had everything ready. 

on the other hand, jungkook was spending most his free time after school working on his assessments. even after his part-time job at the cafe. he felt like he was spending no time with taehyung, the last thing he wanted was to grow apart. taehyung was meant to stay at jungkook's place until this whole serial killer thing calmed down. 

but plans changed when rose ended up wanting to get a new wifi modem for the house while she was away, so taehyung had to be home for when they arrived. jungkook was sad to hear that, he felt off being away from taehyung. 

at times it felt like they were not a couple, taehyung did not want to be seen with him in that way at school. then they both were busy in the afternoon. not with each other at night. at times it felt like they were just online friends, as they only seemed to text. 

taehyung was currently in his english class, for their last assessment they had to write a essay about something they believed in that they were conflicted about. they had to present it to the class, which taehyung was not keen about but he had been practicing at home. this is due on the last week of classes as well. 

during breaks either taehyung would be in a classroom trying to finish off homework or on the field reading a book. whenever he was on the field his eyes could not help but to watch jungkook and his friends, he truly missed him. 

it felt like they were distant with each other, he blames himself as he is self conscious to be seen with jungkook. people at the school knowing he is dating jungkook, is a scary thought. he was out of people's view and he loved it, he had dreamed of being at a school and not having eyes on you all the time. 

it was so much better than his previous school. 

but not spending time with jungkook was the sacrifice. it was not worth it. he could tell when he called jungkook last night the male seemed sad, tired. when the bell had gone off, he got off the field and walked towards the building. 

he was happy it was the last class of the day and decided he needed to talk to jungkook. the last thing he wanted to him was for jungkook to think he did not have feelings for him anymore. the last month of them dating has been the best weeks of taehyung's life, he does not want to loose that. to loose him. 

sadly they both had seperate classes for the end of day, so he followed jungkook to his class. watching as he was the last one about to enter the class, he quickly grabbed the raven's arm before he walked in. 

jungkook had let out a gasp when he felt his arm being tugged back into the hallway. he was ab out to turn and punch whoever just touched him like that but his face softened when his eyes landed on taehyung who had his finger over his lip. 

the raven let himself be dragged to an empty room and watched as taehyung shut the door. 

"taehyung? whats wrong?" jungkook spoke first, missing the flash of hurt on taehyung's face. 

the brunette did not think they lost their closeness, that was until jungkook called him by his name and seemed a little cold. the raven waited for a reply but as soon as he felt the males head hit his chest he looked down confused. 

taehyung wrapped his arms around jungkook's waist and stepped closer, wanting to be close as possible. 

"im really sorry kook" the brunette whispered, tightening his hold around jungkook's waist when he felt the taller slowly circle his arms around him. 

"about what" jungkook's voice seemed so cold, a little empty and it made taehyung question why did he have to fuck up so much. 

"about not putting in the effort into this relationship, not wanting others to find out. your the best thing that has happened to be in a long time and I dont want to loose you. I fucked up, I take responsibility for it. at my old school everyone knew everything I did."

"whenever I would have a thing with someone, people always had to know my business and it felt so invading. like every good thing I had would come to an end so quickly. people always had to know personal shit and it was embarrassing."

"your popular at this school jungkook, if people found out we were together.... I could get death threats, mean comments. I just dont know how much I can handle" taehyung whispered. 

"when I had things with people from my old school, they wound get horrible notes sent to them just because someone was jealous they could not be with me" 

"im still trying to navigate through my own grief, trying to find any good in life when the only good I had was ripped right out of my hands. s-so im t-trying to p-protect the one good thing I have, which is you" taehyung whispered, feeling his throat sting a little and his sight getting blurry. 

jungkook felt like a true asshole for acting cold around taehyung. he wished taehyung would of told him all this from the get go, cause he would of understood. 

"I wish you told me this sooner tae, I understand that" jungkook whispered, holding onto taehyung tighter. it feeling so nice, to be holding him again. 

"I should of told you sooner and Im sorry, it wont happen again. we only have a few weeks left of school, I want people to know we are together." taehyung said, looking up at jungkook who smiled. 

"if anyone ever does anything to you or sends you a hateful message, promise me you will tell me" the raven said, looking down at taehyung who nodded. 

"good" jungkook whispered, pecking taehyung's lips softly and slowly before pulling away. 

"sorry I have not been spending time with you after school either, I have had a decent amount of assessments I have been trying to complete" taehyung said while rubbing his hands on jungkook's back. 

"I get that, I have had no time to do anything I want to do. I have been struggling with an essay to write for english" taehyung smiled to what jungkook said and slowly moved back to get something from his bag. the raven watched for a little until he saw taehyung walk back with a key. 

"this is a spare key to the house. come over tonight, bring your homework and we can work on it together. pack your bags for the next few days and we can both get our assessments done together. when you go home and come to mine, just unlock it with the key" taehyung said, smiling up at jungkook who took the key from taehyung's hand. 

"once we are done with school, I want to take you on a date. maybe go somewhere for the weekend. just the two of us" the raven whispered, pulling taehyung back into his arms. 

"that sounds amazing. now we better get back to class, we are already hella late. see you later" taehyung winked before pecking jungkook's lips. the raven felt so happy, he was glad taehyung made the step to talk and sort things out.
