Ryder POV

I watch as she goes to the dj handing him her phone to him and a few seconds later she goes to the stage.

"Today we have a new girl stepping to the stage! Her name is Maya and she's going to be singing us an original song!" The dj says before the track starts. I raise an eyebrow at this looking at her before she starts singing. My mouth almost falls as I hear her. She sings so amazing.

"She's good." Rebecca says impressed as we hear her and watch her. I listen to the lyrics and wonder if this is how she feels about me. I see her make eye contact with me once in a while before going back to the crowd. When she was done we all stood up clapping and some whistles and cat calls came from the crowd as she smiled and went to the dj who gave her a high five before handing her phone back.

"That was amazing!" Rebecca says hugging Maya when she gets back as I just look at her. She's amazing.. she's fucking perfect..

"Thanks." She says taking a seat with us again.

We spent a few hours there just hanging out and watching the people sing before Rebecca and Xavier said they wanted to go.. they were my ride. They just left me stranded!

"I can give you a ride home.. if you want." Maya says a bit awkwardly and I look at her before nodding and leaving with her getting in her convertible car looking around.. I've never been in one of these.

The ride home wasn't long but it felt like it. We didn't talk at all and just stayed quiet the whole time. When we make it to my house she parks the car and just stays there silently.

"Well um.. see you tomorrow." I say getting out of the car and started my way inside before I stopped and sighed. I can't keep ignoring this and running away from her. I turn around and knock on her window causing her to look at me and I signal her to get out of the car which she does.

"What?" She asks softly looking down making me place my hand on her cheek sliding my fingers down to her chin to make her look at me.

"I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have told you to leave earlier.. it's just." I look up for a second before placing one of my hands against her car close to her body getting closer to her while caressing her cheek looking into her eyes.

"You're making me experience things I never had before, things I promised myself I would never allow myself to feel." I say.

"Why?" She asks placing her hand on the one that was on her cheek.

"Because.. because you're different, because I can't bring myself to be something with you when I don't know how I'm feeling.. because I don't want to be like my father who left my mother when I was just a child. I don't want to make the same mistake that guy made with you." I say making her tilt her head.

"What mistake?" She asks.

"Hurting you, letting you go, using you and then telling you to forget it and never speak of it again pretending like it never even happen." I say letting my nose caress hers making her breathing a little faster as she closes her eyes and I pull away causing her to open them.

"Stop teasing me.." She says making me chuckle.

"I'm bad for you Maya." I say and she places a hand on my chest looking up at me.. hell she's short I'm probably a foot taller than her.

"I know.. but I also know that if I don't try now and give you a chance I'll always be wondering 'what if'.. and not wondering that is worth the heartbreak.. we're in high school.. our last year. If we're gonna make mistakes and experience all these new things then this is the time to do it." She says making me smile a little.

"I'm scared." I confess making her chuckle wrapping her hands around my neck pulling herself closer to me.

"Says the guy pinning me to my own car with a promise to break my heart." She says looking into my eyes.

"You have nothing to lose." She says.

"Yes I do... I have everything to lose. If I hurt you both Rebecca and Xavier will kill me.. plus I'll be losing you." I say making a small smile come to her lips.

"Then let this be our little secret until the two of us figure out where we want this to go." She whispers as one of my hands wrap around her lower back pulling her closer.

"Are you sure about this?" I ask letting one of my hands slide to her thigh.

"Yes.. now kiss me." She says making me chuckle and smirk surprising her by sweeping her up with her back against the window and her legs around my waist for her to be at my height.

"Cute how you're giving me orders." I say getting closer to her getting close to her lips making her believe I was gonna kiss her before moving down to her shoulder kissing it feeling how she shivers.

"Ryder~" She sighs as I kiss up her neck allowing my hands to caress her hips under the crop top kissing up her jaw before looking into her eyes. She was blushing, her body felt warm and her breathing was uneven making me smirk doing the same to the other side. I felt her hands grip my shirt as I do and her legs pull me closer to her.

"Ryder please~" She begs making me smirk kissing her nose and cheeks so close to her lips and finally her lips.

The kiss was soft but passionate, she opened her mouth for me to explore and I do. Her kiss is addictive, I can see myself kissing her every chance I can. She's like a fucking drug. She starts to pull away and I bite her lip making her moan but slowly pull away catching her breath a little before we open our eyes looking at each other for a second. That was the best fucking kiss ever.

"I.. I better start heading home.. it's getting late." She says and I nod but still kissed her again. She kissed back pulling on my hair a little and scratch at my back slightly.

"Ryder I'm serious I better get home.. I'll see you tomorrow ok?" She says suddenly pulling away making me sigh but nod letting her down.

"See you tomorrow.. at what time?" I ask.

"10 in the morning is the earliest you guys can go." She says as I nod looking down at her. God I wanna kiss her again..

"Alright." I say making her nod and get in the car. Looking at me one more time she starts the car and drives away.. what the hell did we get ourselves into?
