I opened my eyes and drowsily and groggily sat up. I fell asleep, I thought. I looked behind me and saw Dark Link sleeping behind me. I sat up and did my morning routine. I tried to not wake Dark up or disturb him, but he stirred and sat up.
" Mornin'" he said.
" Morning." I said back. He yawned and got up hugging me behind.
" Let's go back to sleep." He said groggily while slightly rocking me back and forth. (if ya know what I mean 😏)
I sighed.
" I'm gonna make waffles." I said. Dark raised his arms while saying " waffles!"
I chuckled and started cooking. I started day dreaming and smiled. Not paying any attention to the burning waffles. I felt Dark poke the back of my head waking me from my day dream.
" Ya know I pay for this food, right?" He asked.
" S-sorry!" I started to clean up the mess.
" You can be really absent-minded can't you?" Dark laughed. I puffed out my cheeks.
" Shut it."
" That's not nice."
" You're not nice."
" Nice comeback."
" Thanks." I started the second waffle trying to not burn it this time.
" You looked cute and doopy smiling while day dreaming. What were you thinking of?" Dark asked.
" Doopy?"
" Yeah."
" Hmm..." I thought.
" I was thinking of you!"
" Me?"
" Yeah." I said mocking Dark."
" Why dream when you can do the real thing."
" Eww. I wasn't thinking of us doing anything dirty!"
" Sure. Sure." He laughed as I stubbornly tried to prove my innocence. Dark just kept laughing at me. I smiled at his laughing. Soon laughing along with him. Dark pushed my head affectionately with his finger.
" You really like me. Don't you?" Dark said.
" Mhm! Do you like me?" I smiled. Dark thought for a moment.
" ...I.... I'll tell you tonight."
"What? It's not a hard question." I said disappointed. Dark pat my head.
" You'll see. Tonight." He smiled and left the room. What was that all about? Why didn't he answer? He's gotten more affectionate towards me and has been showing lots of emotion I didn't think he was capable of, but does he even like me as a girl? Maybe just a friend. Even if I am his girlfriend, I'm not sure if he thinks we are right for each other. I felt sad thinking of all of the terrible possibilities. This time I couldn't exactly brush off the feeling of sadness. It felt a bit worse than the last time I thought of Dark only liking me as a friend and just wants to date me to make me feel better. I frowned at my thoughts. Oh well. Guess I'll have to "wait for tonight". I sighed and cleaned up the rest of breakfast.
