I stare at myself in the mirror and adjust my outfit, it was the first weekend of November someone in my grade always holds a party at their house. This year the person holding the party was Chase Lumos, he was football captain, since I was on the dance team I was basically the first group to find out about the party. I grab my bag and say my goodbyes to my Grandma, my mother and brother. I walk outside and hop into Sky's car and see Damien in the back,

"Heyo!" I say buckling my seat belt

"Are we ready to party?!" Damien exclaims

"Lets get this show on the road!" Sky says driving away from the house.

We pull up to the house, I can see the broken streamers on the ground I can tell it's only just started. Sky parks the car and we get out, down the street I see Andrew Cole's car, it looks like he had just got here too. I smile to myself.

I walk around the house and see Andrew Cole with a small crowd of girls, of course. I make eye contact with him and give him a slight smile and walk back to the main room. I stand against the wall picking at my nails,

"Remi! Come take a shot with us!" I hear

I look up and see Damien and Sky walking over with two small shot glasses in his hand,

"Sorry Damien, I'm not a drinker!" I smile

"Just one I promise." He says

I roll my eyes and grab the shot glass from him, he counts down from three and I tilt my head back but throw the liquid into the plant beside me.

"Woo! That's really good." He coughs,

I nod in agreement and hand him the glass back, Sky smiles at me.

"Everyone who wants to play truth or dare head upstairs!" I look at my friends who seem to be on the same page as me and I walk upstairs.

I follow the small crowd of people into a loft area and sit on a couch, to my surprise Andrew Cole walks in and sits next to me. I glance at him and he just looks at everyone walking in. They go on explaining the rules, if we choose not to answer we take a shot.

"Hmm, who seems oddly quiet," Chase glances around the room and locks eyes with me, "How about you start us off Remi? Truth or Dare?" Chase smiles

I think for a second, "Dare." I smile back at Chase,

"I dare you to go into the laundry room with a person of my choice for seven minutes." He laughs

I nod and go to the laundry room down the hall, and close the door behind me I hear angry yelling and chatter from the loft. I sit on the dryer in the dark on my phone when I hear the door open,

"Who's my special guest?" I turn off my phone,

"Take a guess Mallas." Andrew Cole says

"Oh how lovely. You mind turning on the lights?" I ask

He flicks the light on and he smiles at me,

"You having fun tonight?" He walks over to me standing between my legs,

"Lots, I even took a fake shot!" I laugh, we continue to talk and soon it was followed with pounds on the door,

"Act mad at me." Andrew Cole whispers

"Easy." I snicker and hop off the dryer and fling the door open, I walk back to the loft with my arms folded and a frown on my face. Andrew Cole follows and we sit in or original places,

"Cole truth or dare." Ella smiles

"Dare." Andrew Cole raises an eyebrow

"I dare you to kiss me." She rubs her lips together and I felt my blood boiling, I sit back and watch Andrew Cole walk over to Ella and get close to her face,

He whispers loudly, "I don't kiss skanks like you." He turns around to takes a shot from the liquor bottle, he sits back down next to me.

"Truth or Dare Damien." Andrew Cole says

"Dare." Damien frightfully says

"I dare you to kiss Ella."

Damien stands up and Ella grabs him forcefully and kisses him. Damien pushes off of her and he looks at me,

"Remi Truth or Dare." He wipes his mouth

"Truth." I tap my heel on the ground,

"What did you and Cole do in the laundry room." He raises his eyebrows worryingly

"It's none of your damn business." Andrew Cole glares at Damien, I felt his voice shake the room.

"I didn't ask you." Damien said grabbing the bottle taking a swig at it. I shake my head and walk downstairs, I hear Sky yelling and loud thudding following me down. I rush to the backyard and sit on a chair with my arms folded. I feel hands placed on my arms and they rub me comfortingly,

"I'm sorry for whatever I did that upset you." Andrew Cole kisses my cheek

I stayed quiet and I see Andrew Cole standing in front of me now, he holds his hand out, "Lets get out of here, yeah?"

I grab his hand and stand up,

Andrew Cole drives me around the city showing me a few things I haven't see yet, we stop at an unfamiliar house. The neighborhood was pristine, you could see the city shining just a little ways away. It was truly beautiful, I look over to see Andrew Cole just staring at me.

"Take a picture Redley, it lasts longer." I smile and wink

"We should try to take mental pictures at the high points." He puts his hand on top of mine.

"Did you really just quote The Office?" I laugh

"No! I definitely did not quote Pam Halpert on season six episode four." He laughs

"Well if that's so," I look down at our hands and bring my right hand up in a half-rectangle shape, "click." I look up at Andrew Cole and he smiles.

"Let's go inside?" He questions nudging his head toward the house next to us, I nod my head and he hops out and runs over to open the door for me. I step out and he closes the car door, we make our way up the quiet driveway and Andrew Cole grabs keys out of his pocket and unlocks the door. The inside of the house was dimly lit but it was enough to reveal the light brown walls with a maroon accent wall where the tv was playing. I look at the couch and see the curvature of a figure underneath the blanket,

"Cole is that you son?" A voice said weakly

"Mom, I have someone I want you to meet." Andrew Cole holds my hand and we sit down on the couch.

"Andrew Cole what have I told you about those damn strays?" I hear the woman let out a soft laugh, I see her slowly sitting up. The TV illuminates her face and I see her short light brown hair tucked behind her ear and her light blue eyes.

"Mom I'd like for you to meet my girlfriend Remi." His thumb caresses my hand, and I smile at the woman.

"Nice to meet you Ms.--"

"Call me Charlotte, hon. It's nice to finally meet you Remi, Cole talks non-stop about how-- happy you make him. Finally someone who doesn't just want him for his fathers wealth." Charlotte lets out a kind smile and it warms my heart.

"She was a hard one." Andrew Cole laughs and his mother laughs also.

"I could see from how she carries herself, she's a very strong girl. Do you happen to play any sports?" His mother asks me

"I'm captain of the dance team at our school." I take my hand gently from Andrew Coles and wipe it on my jeans.

"I would have thought you were an archer. You should come out to the fields with me one day, Cole forbids me to leave the house but maybe if you accompany me, he'd let me." She says

I smile and nod, "I'll have to take you up on that offer."

The night passes and my phone buzzes, it was a text from my mother telling me it was time to come home. I thank Charlotte for the evening and Andrew Cole and I head back to my grandma's house.

We stand at the front door,

"Girlfriend, huh?" I smile, "What happened to—"

Andrew Cole pulls me into him pressing his lips on mine not even letting me finish my sentence, he pulls away from me with his hands still on my hips and stares at me then smiles goofily,

"That's rude of you to not let me finish my sentence." I laugh

"Get used to it Mallas." His fist knocks on the door and it swings open at an instant, I see my father standing there carrying my sleeping brother. Andrew Cole quickly removes his hands from my waist and rubs his neck nervously, my dad glares at him and then at me.

"Papa what are you doing here." I cross my arms

"Both of you inside now."
