HWASA'S PIC:

After parting ways with Hwasa, I made my way to the outskirts of the city to meet my college friend as in another person who would be joining me in this chase.

Upon reaching her place I rang the bell. Suddenly the noise of children scrambling down the staircase could be heard, and then after a few seconds, a little head popped out and looked at me with doe eyes.

"Who are you?" the boy asked, with a gibberish accent to it.

"Hey, sweetie, I am a friend of your mum's, is she home?" I asked him bending down to his level and ruffling his hair.

"She is in the backyard, but you are allowed to come in, as you don't look like a thief." He said tapping his chin and as his eyes took a full body scan of me.

I chuckled at that.

"Okay, officer," I replied to him to which he cheekily smiled back.

"Mum, some pretty lady came to meet you!" he shouted at the top of his lungs from the backdoor of their house.

Woah! Me? Pretty? I think not...

"Hey, ney come here, what's your name?" I asked bending down to match with his height.

"Daehyun..." he said smiling.

"Daehyun.. nice name. okay, Daehyun, you just tell where your mum is, and I will go meet her myself, I wanted to surprise her, you know." I said taking out candy from my bag and handing it to him.

"Thanks, missy !!" he said hugging me.

I said patting his head lightly as I was still in shock.

He told me that she was in the garage, doing some cleaning and that he was not allowed to go there. Which by the way, sounded a teensy bit weird, since the kid wasn't that small.

I made my way to the garage and heard a lot of noise as I came closer. I opened up the door on the other side of the garage and walked in.

I saw her moving and shifting and ordering around the 2-3 workers there, as she held a clipboard close to her chest and tapping the pen on the board. She cursed at some workers for not moving the things carefully.

"Hey Ji,"

"W-what are you doing here? And how did you know where I live?" she asked as her face was wiped off in shock.

"Maybe, I know you pretty much well enough to know where you can go, after vanishing without any trace or a call, as I speak correctly," I said with a smug.

"I am sorry for what I did back then, I had to Mirae," she said looking down at her feet.

"Who said I am mad or annoyed at you for that?!" I said bending down searching for her eyes that were hiding behind the yellow cap on her head.

"Come on, don't put up that long face!" I said making her chuckle.

"So, what made you come all the way here? and how did you know where I-" She paused for a while eyeing me.

"You know what? Nevermind, I already know the answer," she said grinning.

I laughed at her response.

"Okay, so I guess I will answer the first question you asked." she nodded.

I explained everything about what was going to happen and what all we would be doing. She was giving me her full attention and was all ears. She kept glancing at me at some points.

"I hope you have a tough team to handle and execute all of that," she said.

"Yes, in fact, I do have, and you are a part of that team, as a matter of fact," I said sitting down on one of the chairs there.

"You are one of the key players in this rattrap, sweetie," I said raising my eyebrows.

"Me? how? and why?" she said pointing a finger towards herself and sighing understanding for what reason I asked her in the first place.

"Mirae, I have left all of that stuff from the time left Seoul. I don't want to deal with all of this when I have a child around. I-"

"Nothing would happen to them and we will not get tangled, I promise. And the kids will be fine. Chang Wook is coming back this week, right? Talk to him and I am sure he will encourage you to go." I said getting up and squatting down to hold her hands.

"Sweetie, it will be fine. It will just be like old times and I am sure you want a little adventure." I said gaining a slight punch and a warm chuckle.

"I don't know if your sexy brain is still their or not, but I do know that the punch did hurt a lot," I said rubbing my arm which had been targeted.
