December 1990

Searches of woodland have been carried out and Miss Romanova's relatives say they are 'concerned' for her welfare.
Volgograd Oblast Police said a man in his 30s from the United States was arrested on Sunday and was assisting officers with their inquires while searches continue.
They have made several appeals for information to piece together Miss Romanova's last movements.
She is said to have been wearing white trainers, grey jogging bottoms and possibly a black top with a white jacket when she was last seen.

Police said Miss Romanova, who is 4ft 3", was wearing white trainers, grey jogging bottoms and a distinctive white jacket with pink flowers when she was last seen.

Natalia Romanova's parents have said they are 'greatly encouraged' by new information about the disappearance of their daughter.
Russia's Federal detectives, who have interviewed 442 people as part of their review-turned-investigation into Natalia's disappearance, hope to track down as many people present in the area surrounding the Romanova household, on or around 15 December as possible.
❝We are begging for anyone who has any information in relation to our daughter's disappearance - please, come forward. My child, my baby, is somewhere and please, help us find her.❞
❝Hello Kartov. I am at the scene where six year old Natalia Romanova disappeared. The girl was under the supervision of her mother who claims to have turned her back for a few seconds when she went missing. A report was filed on the third of November and local efforts haven't ceased.❞
❝I know my baby is alive. I know she's alive. A mother knows. My baby will come home.❞

Natalia Alianovna Romanova, 6, from Volgograd, was last seen at 19:00 GMT on 3 November, outside her family home, in her hometown.
Natalia Romanova was found in River Volga late last night.
The child, aged 6, had last been seen on a Monday Afternoon dressed in grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.
In a statement Volgograd police said Natalia's body had been formally identified and they were 'working to establish the full circumstances and will prepare a file for the coroner'.
The force added: 'Her family are being supported by specialist officers and have requested privacy at this extremely difficult time'.
Police had earlier said it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances.
❝I'd like to thank everyone who dedicated their time and effort into locating my daughter. I'd like to thank all police forces involved who helped me and my family. I'd like to thank the public for spreading Natalia's disappearance all the way to different countries...❞
❝That girl they showed me. It wasn't my daughter. They kept telling me it was but that wasn't my baby. They threatened me to keep quiet. My daughter is still alive and I don't know what they've done with her.❞
❝Hello Albert. Yes, I'm at the scene of the crime where local police forces have identified the body of Dina Romanova, mother of-.❞
❝Apparent suicide from gunshot wound. Police say the mother of two had become 'mentally unstable' following the disappearance and death of her daughter Natalia Romanova. It is still unknown-❞
❝Could this be a cover up? I mean, come on Fred, two days after the woman's interview with the BBC is broadcasted, the same interview where she claims that the police had shown her a girl who wasn't her daughter and forced her to say it was, she's found dead from suicide? That's fishy-❞
Dina Romanova's cause of death confirmed as suicide by gunshot wound.
The certificate was released by the Coroner's Office, filed in Russia, and it also reveals that the body was found in a bathtub, as previously reported.
Dina, 35, was found inside a running bathtub inside her house, after 'police were called to perform a ritual welfare check' on Romanova.
Toxicology reports have yet to be released.
Russian Officials hiding true cause of death of Dina Romanova?
As many of you have heard, the mother of Natalia Romanova has been confirmed dead from apparent suicide. Now, I'm not much of a conspiracy theory believer but even I can admit that something about this death doesn't seem entirely right.
For starters, the body of Natalia Romanova was found in the River Volga. Okay, sounds fine. But, I did some research and found that the river is exactly eight miles away from where the family last saw their daughter and the police claim there was no foul play? I call bullshit. When I was six, I was barely walking around the grocery store with my mum, let alone walking eight miles in the middle of a Russian Winter.
Second of all, the River Volga has large safety fences. It is simply impossible for a girl of her height, and strength, to have been able to climb over the fences to fall into the water. This was brought up with the police and they stated that the child had found a hole to climb through but, the fence is steel? What fucking steel fence has a hole large enough for a child to fit through?
Lastly, the child's body found did not match Natalia's description in the slightest. The child found, from eye witness accounts, had been at least five foot. Okay, people can be wrong, fine but they ALL state that the body had black hair. Natalia Romanova had nearly red hair?
Now onto the most recent news.
Dina went slightly psycho all over British television and I'm sure we all tuned in. She was sobbing and had crazy eyes for days. But some of what she said made sense. She stated that the body she saw was not her daughter and she was forced to say it was. She also stated that they had an empty casket at the funeral as the police would not hand the body to the morgue.
Two days later, she's found dead. TWO DAYS. I mean, shit, they could have at least been a bit more subtle. She's found dead of suicide - bullet wound. So the woman shot herself. Sounds normal, mothers can't cope with the loss of a child. But, Dina never carried a gun on her. No one knows where she got it from. Now there's a massive cock up within the crime scene.
The gun is in the woman's left hand - the entrance wound of the bullet is on the right side of her head? AMERICA EXPLAIN.
I mean this could all be bullshit.
I don't believe whatever shit the Russian Police Force are spouting at the moment, though.
But.
After all, this raises the question: what would the Russian Government ever want with a six year old girl?

Svetlana had collected all the clippings from the library as she could.
She'd known that Natalia's family were dead, they'd attempted to locate them in 2006 only to be lead to a large series of graves, so knew that Natalia had grieved for long enough.
The story was tragic, however.
❝Dracov Renistic? Huh.❞
