Kingdom Tour & Transforming Twist

Estrella joined Omega in her guest bedroom, the young girl having fun trying out the human bed and bouncing on it.

"Alright, Omega. I know it's fun to jump on the bed, but it's time to get serio, serious." Estrella said. "Tomorrow, we will need to work on a plan to get el príncipe to kiss you. Now, Omega. Pay attention."

Omega stopped for a moment and looked at Estrella.

"Good. Now, it's important you look your best tomorrow. That's one piece of getting him to kiss you. Then, you will need to entice him. Batting your eyes like this."

Estrella fluttered her eyes to demonstrate.

"Alright. Now you, Princesa."

Omega tried it, but she just looked like she was trying to blink an eyelash out of her eyes.

"Okay, that's a little too rapido. Vuelve a intentar! Try again."

Omega tried again, this time a little more slowly.

"Better. Keep practicing."

Omega yawned silently as she stretched herself out onto the bed; exhausted after all she endured today. Estrella had to agree with Omega; it was getting late, and a good night's rest was just what both of them needed. Estrella pulled the blanket over Omega with her mouth, and she curled up on a rug in the room to rest herself.

Meanwhile, Omega's brothers made their way back to Coralmino, where Jango was worried.

"Boys, there you are." Jango said, but before he could say anything else, Lama Su came in. "Ah, Lama Su. Any news?"

"No, Your Majesty. We've found no trace of your daughter." Lama Su said.

"Keep looking then. Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until she's safe at home."

"Dad, Omega's fine." Hunter reassured his father. "She's not lost. She's... just staying with a friend."

"Where?"

"She doesn't want you to know where." Wrecker said. "She's still mad at you."

"Yeah. So mad that she's... well, speechless." Boba said.

While the rest of their brothers kept their father busy, Crosshair and Tech snuck over to where their father usually kept his magical trident. Since the trident was in Jango's possession right now, the princes instead picked up some magical seashells.

Tech recalled in some ancient stories that certain seashells could open paths for merfolk to nearby bodies of water if ever they found themselves lost. The merfolk didn't know much about the land, but they were sure that if water was essential for land creatures to live, there had to be more than one source of water on that land besides the ocean.

Once the boys had the shells, they met with the rest of their brothers and went along with the rest of their plan.

"Can I at least speak to her?" Jango asked.

"Afraid not, Father." Echo said. "Omega needs time away from you. But... we'll look after her until she's ready to come home."

And off the mer-princes went.

Jango, on the other hand, hid his face in his hand in shame, feeling regret for how hard he'd been on his daughter before.

"What have I done? What have I done?"

The next morning soon came and Benni and Omega each got on a horse. Omega, of course, rode Estrella, and Benni's horse was a lovely purple one named Amethyst. Omega got herself done up nicely, placing a pretty pink bow in her hair to match the dress she wore.

Omega was fascinated by the sights of the kingdom as she and Benni rode across the road, and the princess caught sight of her brothers swimming in the rivers underneath the bridge, and she waved to them, but her brothers had to duck and avoid being seen by any bipeds. On top they looked human, but if any bipeds caught sight of their bottom halves, they would freak out.

There were so many biped species Omega could see. Humans, Twi'leks, Tholothians, Rodians, Togrutas, and that was just some of the ones she could name. Omega waved hello to so many of them with a joyful smile. The people did turn out to be really nice; nothing like Jango assumed they were.

Omega and Benni stepped down from the horses to walk about the town and have some fun together.

"Estrella, any kissing yet?" Boba asked.

"Nada." Estrella shook her head. "The date only just started."

The brothers decided to split up and keep an eye on Omega.

Omega found herself really having fun trying on hats at one of the shops, trying ice cream for the first time, and when she saw some kids playing games, she wanted to play too. Games like Hopscotch, Jump Rope, Tag..... it all looked so fun! And each time Omega saw something fun, she got Benni to join her.

One thing Omega definitely couldn't resist was when she spotted people dancing, and she pulled Benni in to dance with her. The two teenagers were having so much fun; Benni even lifted Omega up in a spin. But then they stopped when they came across a mural that had Benni frozen.

People walking by left flowers, rosaries, and photos or drawings by the mural. In it, there was a portrait of what looked like a woman with blue hair like Benni's, and she wielded a sword as she stood over a strange creature with a metal arm and a crown that was flung from his head.

Omega tapped Benni's shoulder and tilted her head toward the picture to ask him what it was for.

"That's my mother." Benni said. "This mural was made for her when the people of Ipsidon made her their queen."

Omega was a bit confused.

"You never heard the story of my mother before?" Benni said. "Well, Goldilocks, let me enlighten you."

Many years ago....

Ipsidon was not always quite as happy as you have seen it thus far. Once upon a time, it was ruled by another royal family, who discovered their land was rich in a substance called ipsium. This substance could be used for a lot of things. It could be used as fuel, or for blowing up large pieces of rock to make room for construction. In other words, it worked like dynamite. Thus, ipsium was very dangerous if mishandled. So, the royal family was very careful when harvesting it. That was... until the day a family member named Mokko became king.

Mokko was a very greedy monarch with a gluttonous appetite. Instead of taking care of the people like a good leader should, he decided to make his subjects slaves to his selfishness. He forced the people, young and old, to spend day and night working in the ipsium mines. They had no time to rest, little to eat, and anyone who objected was punished by execution, which was done by having the prisoner thrown into a chasm of molten ipsium. For years, everyone was terrified for their very lives. But among them was a lone warrior.

A young woman named Belinda Baro was among the people enslaved by Mokko. The way Mokko's system worked, the men did most of the heavy labor, while the women were forced to do all the cooking, cleaning, and fanning of Mokko. But no matter how much he had, he was never satisfied. The women could never be home to take care of their children or be with their husbands, including Belinda. Then one day, Belinda's husband was severely injured on the job.

Belinda begged Mokko to spare her husband, to get him a doctor or something, anything to help him. But Mokko just laughed and called him expendable, and instead had Belinda's husband thrown into the chasm. It was then Belinda had enough! Mokko took not just her husband, but her then two-year-old son's father!

It was abundantly clear Mokko didn't care about anyone but himself. He didn't care who suffered or died as a result of his gluttony or his greed. No surprise either that no woman was desperate enough to become his queen even if he were looking to have one.

Benni was too little to understand why his father wasn't around anymore, and it was already hard enough that his mother was almost never around because she was so busy working as a cook and maid for King Mokko. None of the kids had any time to go to school, play, or just be kids. They, like their parents, the moment they were old enough, were forced to start working with no time for rest or pleasure, and Mokko was always taunting them whenever he enjoyed a cup of fine wine with a feast of gourmet meals that taunted the chefs with such tantalizing aromas whenever they cooked them. This wasn't good for anyone in the kingdom, young or old, especially not for any of the pregnant women. People were getting sick, injured, even dying. If things didn't improve soon, there would be no one left in Ipsidon, and the kingdom would become a wasteland.

Belinda knew something had to be done, and so, when Mokko was asleep one night, she gathered everyone she could together and said, "Enough is enough! Mokko has made us slaves in our own home, tortured our children, and destroyed everything we loved! Who else is tired of Mokko making you work tirelessly, only to feed you stale bread and barely a gulp of water?"

Many people screamed, "Yeah!"

"How many of you are tired of Mokko having us toil down in harsh conditions while he enjoys the spoils in the comforts of his palace?"

"YEAH!" many screamed.

"A lot of you, I see. Mokko may be scary, he may be stronger than any of us, but he's not stronger than all of us. Together, we can take him down! Together, we can take back our home! Who's with me?!"

"YEAH!"

And so, the people came together with Belinda leading them to storm Mokko's palace. Mokko tried to fight back with his guards, but the people fought hard. Belinda led everyone without fear or hesitation. She fought with her love for her family as the fuel. No matter how many times Mokko tried to knock her down, she got back up until they were fighting right by the edge of the chasm. The people kept fighting, and even back then, Belinda told them not to worry about her. So, she kept fighting Mokko, even as she got struck hard, became battered and bruised

All of Mokko's men were dead, and Belinda dropped her sword as she was badly scarred by a sharp blow from Mokko's robot arm, but just before Mokko could finish her off, Belinda gave a strong kick to Mokko's stomach, throwing the bad king into the chasm to his doom.

Everyone in Ipsidon cheered as the battle was won. Mokko was dead and all of them were free. Finally, the sick and injured could be properly treated, families could reunite, and no one was a slave anymore. But, of course, the people needed a leader to help them through the events of rebuilding their kingdom, and one of Mokko's former maids nominated Belinda to be that leader. Belinda was surprised by this nomination, and was hesitant to take on such a role, but the people agreed that she was the one who led everyone to stand up to Mokko, and thus there was no one else they would rather have as their new leader than a brave woman such as her. Thus, the people made Belinda Baro their new queen, and her little boy became Prince and heir to her throne. And so began a new beginning for all of Ipsidon.

Present Day....

"Since then, Ipsidon's been the peaceful kingdom you see today. My mom oversaw it all, and someday, I'm gonna be king and continue what she started. I just haven't become king yet because I'm still too young, so my mom's old council does most of the really serious stuff, at least until I'm ready to officially ascend. But they keep saying I gotta find a bride."

Omega fluttered her lashes at that last sentence.

"I know what you're thinking. That's gotta be romantic." Benni said. "Not as easy as you might think."

Benni sighed.

"It's kinda hard to find a girl who's interested in you for you when you're a prince. But if I knew who that girl who saved me was, I think I'd marry her."

Omega got Benni to look at her and mouthed "it was me! I saved you!" while motioning to herself.

"What are you trying to say?" Benni asked.

Omega silently sighed. Was he really this dense?

Someone remind me why I'm trying to get this guy to fall in love with me? Omega groaned in her mind.

"Well, whoever she is, she's definitely something. That I know." Benni said. "And I'll bet my mom would be happy to have such a girl to succeed her as the next queen and mother of her grandkids."

Omega dared to dream how wonderful that would be. She only aimed first to get Benni to fall in love with her and marry her, but to someday have a family with him too was something she thought sounded wonderful. But, she had to get Benni to kiss her first.

Omega's brothers, meanwhile, kept watch of their sister everywhere she went, using the magic shells to move to various bodies of water across the lands. Mainly rivers and a couple of ponds or lakes.

But then came a moment when Hunter found himself popping out of a fountain, and people thought Hunter had fallen in there. And he got hit by a coin some kid was throwing in.

"Hey! Didn't your mother teach you not to throw things in the water?" Hunter said.

"Sir, you can't be swimming in the fountain," said one of the guards. "It's dirty in there."

But Hunter panicked as two of the guards grabbed him and pulled him out of the water. Except, Hunter was shocked when no one panicked as he was all the way out of the water. And then, Hunter realized his tail felt weird.

"You need help there?" asked one man.

Hunter was confused, but then he looked down at his tail to see it wasn't there anymore! Instead, where his tail used to be, were human legs covered with black pants with a red stripe like his tail had been. It felt even weirder when he was helped to stand up and he felt the ground beneath his bare feet.

Hunter was overcome with shock, which did not help him keep his balance on his new legs.

"What the-?!" Hunter couldn't believe this.

How was this possible? Omega got legs after that potion was made, but it was made just for her. Why did Hunter have legs now? Then Hunter thought and remembered he was awfully close by when Omega was turned into a human; maybe some traces of the potion got onto him and then he changed into a human once he got close to the land?

______________________________

Hunter managed to find his brothers by the lakes, and you can probably imagine they were all pretty shocked to see Hunter with legs.

"Hunter, what the heck happened?" Boba asked.

"I don't know." Hunter said. "One minute, I was in a fountain, next I was pulled out and my tail disappeared and these things appeared in its place. Is anyone else growing legs?"

All of the other princes lifted their tails out of the water.

"Nope. Still got a tail. Scales and all." Tech said.

"This is weird." Echo said. "Why did Hunter become a human when he left the water?"

"Maybe it's not just him." Boba started to get an idea.

Boba then started to pull himself out from the water and placed his tail on the ground, and when it touched, his tail became a pair of legs covered with blue pants.

"Whoa..."

The others tried it too, and all of them found that they grew legs the moment their tails touched the land. How was this possible? Did this mean Omega could've been a human on her own all this time? But that didn't make sense. Omega had been on the sand before when she rescued Benni, and her tail stayed a tail. What was different?

Wrecker thought maybe only mermen could grow legs on land and that was why Omega needed a potion to transform; because she was a girl. But Tech had a hunch something else was going on.

But, the six brothers didn't have time to think about that now. They had to get Omega and Benni kissing, and they didn't have much time.
