FLASHBACK

"hey wait for me!" the girl shouted to her best friend. "catch me if you can!" the boy shouted back

the two ran around the front yard of the girls house, playing tag. the boy tripped on a rock on the ground causing him to fall his back and the girl tripped over his body, falling on the ground next to him

the two were quiet, staring at the clouds in the sky

"hey vance?" the girl said

"yeah y/n?" the boy, vance responded

"i'm glad we're best friends" she said.

"me too" vance said while looking at her. then it was silent, just the two staring at the clouds, enjoying each other's company

"you still can't catch me though!" vance suddenly shouted running away with a big smile on his face

"hey! that's not fair! get back here!" y/n shouted, laughing and running after him
