"y/nnnn wake up! you're gonna be late!" my mom shouted from the kitchen. i groaned and finally got out of bed

"i'm up!" im shouted back. "good, hurry you only have thirty minutes till school starts!" mom shouted. "THIRTY MINUTES?" i yelled and ran to my closet to pick an outfit. once i finally decided on something, i ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and used the bathroom.

"omg i'm gonna be so late!" i said to myself as i ran downstairs grabbing the waffle my mom made for me and running to put my shoes on. "i told you to get up!" my mom said.

"bye mom love you!" i said as i left the house, running to school. on the way there i saw my best friends, finney and gwen walking on the other side of the road. i checked to make sure there were no cars coming before running across the road.

"hey guys!" i said a bit out of breath. "hey n/n" finney replied. "hi y/n! why are you so out of breath?" gwen replied. "i was just running" i said "almost late again?" finney said. "yeah but i'm here aren't i?" i said as we arrived at the school, just in time.

LITTLE TIME SKIP

i sat in my 4th period class, spanish, taking notes in how to greet a person. i never understood why we learned the same thing every year, i mean you'd think after being taught the same thing about two or three times everyone would remember it right? so what's the point?

i was zoned out in my thoughts before i felt someone kick my chair. i look behind me to see vance hopper, with a smug look in his face. no one wanted to mess with vance hopper, hell, not even that no one wanted to, no one dared to. i mean i've seen some people talk shit about him then get their ass handed to them, like Moose, but only a couple. he was the toughest kid in school before robin arellano, who spent most of his time in the grab n go, playing on the pinball machine.

i just sigh and turn back around trying to pay attention to what the teacher is saying. i was writing more notes when i felt a small tug at my hair. i whipped my head around to see vance pretending to write notes, with that same smug look on his face.

"leave me alone vance" i said. the boy just chuckled and didn't say anything. a couple minutes later i felt multiple kicks in my chair pushing it forward. i just ignored him and continued to take notes and he eventually stopped.

TIME SKIP

school finally ended and i was walking out of the school when i bumped into robin. robin was another best friend of mine, gwen, finny, robin and i were a friend group, all of us best friends.

"hey robin" i said. "hey n/n. what are you doing after school today?" he asked. "nothing for two hours then i gotta go to the grab n go" i replied. i worked at the grab n go, just behind the counter to make some cash for myself to spend it on stuff i don't need and sometimes help my mom pay the bills.

"oh alright, cause finney wants to hang out with us for a while" he said. "alright let's go" i replied as we started walking towards my house. my house or the park is our usual hang out spot, my mom never minds, she loves my friends.
