Dolly Rue was born on the 3rd of September in 1933. She was born during the Great Depression, so her & her family weren't exactly financially well off. Despite all that, she was raised by her loving aunt. She never met her parents as her parents died in a car crash that she was also in, but somehow survived without being harmed too much. Despite being loved at home, she still had some hiccups in her life. In her neighborhood, kids would bully her because of her vitiligo. This caused her to have insecurities of her own skin. When her aunt found out about this however, she reassured her that she was beautiful. Eventually, Dolly gained confidence & realized that even if people think she's ugly, she was just as equally pretty as everyone else & she learned to love herself. I'm 1945, she was finally enrolled in school as her aunt was finally able to afford it. Surprisingly, it didn't take long for people to just love her. She became popular in matter of weeks of being there. Sure there were a few people that were jealous, but she always managed to light someone else's day by just being there. She would always hang out with her friends, whether going to the drive in movies, going to parties or just having a cigarette in the park. She was known as the Kind Beauty in the school. When not in school, she would help her aunt with a small diner. She would always sing as she serves the customers. Eventually, it became popular because of her singing to the point that a manager wanted to manage her for her career. After some convincing, she said yes with 2 conditions: she was in charge of her own finances & she was able to write her own songs. She moved to Brooklyn, New York & soon became big. It was soon known that BabyDoll was a flirt, though it was innocent & didn't flirt with any of the ones that were married. She met a girl named Rita Norman when she was drunk at the club. It went from talking to kissing to so much more. When waking up the next morning, Dolly realized that the girl she had made out with was her manager's niece. She didn't regret it, but she was a tad bit nervous. Unfortunately, his son had apparently found out about this. Eugene Norman knew that his cousin had always liked her & was perfectly fine with it, but knew that his father wouldn't exactly be thrilled with it. Dolly & Rita liked their little fling & secretly liked each other, but Rita kept denying it & pretended she was only doing the deed with her to let out stress, though Dolly knew that she actually liked her but decided not to say anything. It had gotten to the point that they were unofficially dating, though multiple people thought they were just very close friends. Eugene eventually confronted them both & told them that they could continue doing their "fling", if Dolly married him. Both of them were gay, so she was willing to do it because it was to avoid suspicion. The girl married Eugene to his name & was neighbors with Rita so they continued being together as Eugene did his own thing. She had a good life while singing & also protested in during the Civil Rights Movement while giving it a platform. She also gave birth to 3 daughters & 2 sons who all managed to live into adulthood. Dolly Rue eventually died on the 23rd of September in 1995 due to breast cancer from smoking cigarettes after just turning 62.
