THE CAST HAD BEEN AT THE BEACH ALL DAY AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS SYDNEY HAD IN A LONG TIME. They'd all been surfing, swimming, playing games, playing football and volleyball all day. Basically wearing themselves out so by the time the sun had set, they'd all crashed out on the sand.

It had gotten dark and Sydney had been lying on her towel with head beside Jonathan, who was playing with strands of her hair. Music was playing softly from a speaker Austin had brought and no one was talking. They were all just relaxing. But there was on who hadn't been as worn out as the others and still had lots of energy.

Tank was lying beside Sydney and she'd been staring at her owner for a while. Looking at Sydney the way she usually did at home when she wanted a walk. Tank had more energy, despite running around in the sand all day, and Sydney need to do something about it. So when she finally got frustrated with her dog staring at her, she stood up. Making Tank immediately stand with her, wagging her tail. Sydney grabbed a tennis ball from her bag and slid on her shorts, ready to start walking down the beach.

"Where are you going?" Madison had asked once she noticed Sydney stand up. She leant up on her shoulders as she watched Sydney manoeuvre around everyone.   

"Just gonna walk down the beach with Tank. She's getting restless." Sydney told her, trying not to stand on Drew's hands as she stepped over him. "Anyone wanna come?" Sydney felt rude not asking anyone if they wanted to join her.

She hoped maybe one of the girls would join her but they all looked too tired to even stand up. Drew was about to stand up beside Sydney to accompany her but someone beat him to it. Luckily, Sydney didn't see Drew's movements. "I'll come with you."

Sydney's eyes darted to Rudy, who had stood up and started walking towards her. She sent him a smile as she started walking away from the group with Tank following after her, ready for when she threw the ball for her. Rudy quickly caught up with her and started walking beside the blonde girl. The cast had watched the two walk away together, a few of them sharing looks with one another. Madelyn and Chase had spoken a few times about the weird relationship Sydney and Rudy had as they couldn't quite work out what it was.

The two didn't say anything to each other as Sydney started throwing the tennis ball for Tank, who was running down to the water to grab it and then running back to Sydney. "Have you had a good day?" Was the first thing Rudy had said. He wasn't sure exactly what to say, he just wanted to walk with Sydney. Rudy felt like they hadn't spoken properly for a few days and he didn't want it growing awkward again. Especially with the scenes they had to film that week.

"It's been really good actually. It's nice to just relax for a day. This week has been exhausting with filming." Sydney said, watched Tank splash about in the water. She really had such a wonderful day with everyone. Sydney loved that the cast got along so well and that they were all friends, really good friends.

"It really was." Rudy agreed, he'd had a good day too. "I think next weeks going to be even worse. We've got to film Midsummers and I think they want us filming the flashback scene at the end of the week too." Rudy then said, bracing himself for Sydney's reaction to them pushing their flashback scene. Their first intimate scene.

Sydney turned her head to look at Rudy, a confused expression on her face. "Already? I thought they were going to wait and do them all at the end." Jonas had wanted the two to film at least the flashback scene so they could put the episode together, the others could wait. But Sydney hadn't been preparing for it to be that week, she thought she at least had another month to prepare.

"I think the others might be at the end of filming. Just this one they wanted. Maybe they just want to see how it looks in the episode." Rudy said, not knowing for sure why Jonas wanted it done that week but his guess was correct. That was exactly why he wanted it. "Is that okay?" Rudy noticed how tense Sydney had gotten.

"Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't it be?" Sydney quickly shook her head. She didn't want him thinking she wasn't okay with it.

"Just wanna make sure you're still okay with doing it."

"Yeah, no. It's fine." Sydney gave Rudy a smile that seemed to convince him she was fine with it.

"I know it's not the first time you've done a scene like that but it's different, because it's me. I don't want you being uncomfortable." He admitted. Rudy didn't think Sydney had a problem with the type of scene it was, just that it was with him. Her ex-boyfriend. It didn't get more awkward than that.

"It'll be fine, Rudy." Sydney gave him another smile, reassuring him that it was okay and that she would be fine filming it.

"Okay."

The conversation came to an end as they continued walking down the beach. Sydney then started to get this weird feeling, almost like deja vu and the only reaction she had was to laugh. "What's so funny?" Rudy had whipped his head around to look at Sydney who was laughing to herself and shaking her head.

"This. It's just so weird. I feel like I'm getting deja vu all the time now. It's so strange." Sydney motioned to herself and Rudy, walking together, with Tank on the beach. It was a position they'd both been in hundreds of times before.

She'd been getting deja vu for weeks now. Every time her and Rudy spoke, when they walked to set together, sometimes when they were filming scenes, even whenever the cast all hung out. Sydney was getting it all the time and it felt so strange, she didn't like it.

"I know exactly how you feel." Rudy laughed, having felt it more than once too.

"Like right now."

"We did do this a lot." He nodded, glancing at Tank who was still splashing about in the water with her ball in her mouth. Rudy couldn't count on his fingers the amount of times him and Sydney would take Tank on walks along the beach in LA. The only difference was that they weren't standing a metre away from each other and they were usually holding hands.

"Because Tank loves the beach." Sydney said, laughing.

"She does."
