Y/n POV

"Fuck college. You can stay here! Secretly live with Mia and me! You don't need to leave!" I frown, pulling away from Jack.

"I wish I could but I didn't pay boat loads of money to go to college for a year" Jack chuckles, grabbing my hand.

"But I wont see you for who knows how long" I squeeze his hand a bit, not wanting to ever let go.

Jack was leaving already. Everyone around us in the airport passed with no emotion on their face. They didn't pay any attention to us, which I thought was a good thing. Otherwise, everyone would experience me as an emotional mess. I wasn't the only one who was sad about him leaving though. Mia, Carter, Elijah, and even Abel said they would miss him.

"I'm sorry" Jack apologizes quietly.

"I can pay for your flight for next break!" My eyes light up as I lift my head to find his bright blue eyes.

"No, don't do that. You need to keep the money you earned" Jack smiled sadly down at me.

"But what if thats how I wanna spend it?" I smile.

"Well then I wouldn't allow you to do that" Jack grins.

I groan, throwing my head back "Why are you so difficult?"

"Well I'm sorry I don't want you to waste your money on me" Jack scoffs with a smile.

"But I wont be wasting my money!" I stand on my toes then fall back on my heel "It'd be worth it!"

"Still. Don't pay for me to come down, okay?" Jack says sternly.

"No promises!" I smile.

"I'll miss you, princess" Jack pulls me tightly to him.

"I'll miss you too" I mumble into his chest.

"Oh, and I may or may not have purposely left a jacket in your dorm room" Jack chuckles.

I pull away from him with a happy but slightly mad expression.

"You might need that, you idiot!" I laugh, lightly punching him "But thank you"

"I've got plenty more, Y/n. I'll be fine"

"And I will be too, thanks to you" I giggle.

"I have to go, but I'll call you when I land. If thats okay with you?" Jack speaks, grabbing the handle of his bag.

"Completely fine" I try to smile, but the frown comes through.

"I'll try my best to come home for winter" He speaks, noticing my frown.

I don't answer, afraid the tears that were collecting would fall if I did. I stare at the floor, holding in as much as I could.

"Come here" Jack holds out his arms.

I wrap my arms around him tightly. I never wanted to let go, never wanted to forget this feeling. The feeling of him close to me, making sure I'm fine. I never wanted to leave his side.

"I love you" Jack mumbles into my ear.

"I love you too" I smile into his chest.

Slight time skiperoooo!

"Hey" Mia smiles as I close the door to our room. I immediately spot the gray jacket left by Jack sitting on the chair to the small desk of Mia's.

Grabbing it, I smile softly, wrapping it around myself. I flop down on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.

"How are you?" Mia asked, shutting her laptop.

"Not bad but not good" I answer quietly.

"I know that feeling" Mia nods "How about a night with the guys?"

"I don't feel like it"

"C'mon, Y/n. Please?" Mia asks with hopeful eyes.

I sigh "You're not gonna shut up till I say yes, are you?"

"Nope!" Mia smiles.

"Fine" I groan.

"Yes! Now hurry up, we're already late" Mia stands up and pulls her shoes on.

"What?! Right now?" I ask, sitting up straight "You couldn't have told me earlier?" I roll my eyes, pulling Jacks jacket on and zipping it halfway up. I'll be sweating in this but its worth it.

"You know me, I always wait last minute" Mia smiles, pulling the door open.

Another time skip because my mind is empty

"Hey, look at those cuties" Carter smirked as he saw us "Well one is cute. Y/n, you look like a dumpster"

"Wow, thanks" I roll my eyes "What're we doing?"

"Not sure yet" Carter shrugs.

"Theres a new library downtown. How-" Elijah starts only to be cut off by Carter.

"We're not going to a stupid library" Carter rolls his eyes.

"Well all of us aren't interested in all the things you like" Elijah speaks.

"Clearly" Carter motions toward Elijah.
