CHAPTER ONE: pilot

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

EMILIA AND JESSE SALVATORE HAD DECIDED THAT THEY WOULD BE SPENDING THE NEXT FIFTY YEARS WITH STEFAN. The two would go back and forth between their brothers that we're at odds.

Jesse was still in utter-shock about the girl who looked like Katherine Pierce. He had quickly discovered that said girl, was named Elena Gilbert. After having saved her from a car crash of her parents going off a bridge, he called his brother and sister, unsure of what to do. Stefan and Emilia immediately ran to where Jesse was, hearing the panic in his brother's voice.

When Stefan had seen the girl, laying down on the hard, cold cement, he pulled Jesse up, saying how they had to leave and call someone.

It's that reason that Jesse stayed in Mystic Falls instead of leaving, like he planned.

Emilia thought it was ridiculous. How the two were at odds over a girl from over a hundred years ago. Especially when said girl, had used all three of her brothers.

"I'm just saying, why would you want to be near here? If she looks so much like Katherine," Emilia tells Jesse.

"I have to know her," Jess replied.

Emilia shakes her head, disappointed.

Anubis Doyle rolled his eyes as the man begged for his life. "Can you believe this piece of shit?" Anubis questioned.

Katherine rolled her eyes, sighing in annoyance. "Either kill him or compel him."

"Can you believe the way she treats me?" Anubis sarcastically questioned. As if the man would say or do anything other than beg for his life. Anubis sunk his teeth into the man's throat, the opposite side that he had previously bitten.

Katherine leaned over, sinking her teeth into the other side of the man's neck. She looked at Anubis as she did.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Kendall Griffo had an interesting relationship with Jeremy Gilbert. It was kinda like a friends-with-benefits,but not exactly friends. And they couldn't be considered just hook ups,as the two did hang out on occasions.

Was the term; 'occasional-friends-but-still friends-with- benefits' a thing? Kendall doubted it was,so,he had instead gone with 'friends- with-benefits'.

Although,he didn't like that either. Not because he had actually liked the boy, which he definitely did not like the boy,but because he felt as thought that title brought judgement.

He knew one thing and one thing only; Jeremy Gilbert was fucking confusing.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Jensen Gilbert woke up to the sound of multiple footsteps in the hallway and below. He sat up,running a hand down his face. "Oh,shit."

He threw the blankets off him, the heavy sheet falling to the floor. He dragged a hand across his face, trying to wake up.

"Jensen!" Emma yelled as she went passed his room, still putting gel in her hair.

he groaned loudly, falling to his floor.

"I'm up!" He yelled, gathering up his towel and clothes before opening the door, taking a step back. "Geesh, Elena, could warn a guy."

"Are you okay?" She asked instead, frowning at his appearance.

"Yeah, just woke up. And no, I didn't go to sleep at five in the morning nor did I have any nightmares, stop worrying." He walked passed her, entering to the bathroom.

He closed and locked the door behind, pushing himself up against the door, then sighing, he dragged a hand down his face. "Okay, wake up."

Pushing his hair back, he quickly undressed, hoping into the shower and turning it to the hottest temperature it would go.

Jenna was there. "Hello, older J. Where's angry j and little J?" Emma greet.

Jenna laughed. "I don't know. Can you go see if Chris is away?"

Christopher Gilbert had woken to being pulled off his bed. His head hit the floor.

"Oops, sorry," Emma smiled, voice holding no sympathy.

Chris glared at his sister. Chris hated waking up for school. Or, well more accurately, being waken up for school. Especially when that person waking him up was Emma.

It wasn't that he hated the school. It was just the people in his high school sucked. Or most of them. But, the reason he hated going to school was because he knows now he has to or at least seem fine. Because people are the worst. They will say how if he was just going to grieve and have a sad face the whole day he might've as well stayed home.

Which would have resulted in him saying a lot of shit back to them, then fighting them. And getting detention. Which he was trying to keep of the lower side.

"Come on! Get dressed! Jensen's in the shower so you'll have to use Jeremy's," Emma laughs as she leaves

A brunette girl, suddenly rushes in beside bending down to the boy "Chris? Are you okay?"

Chris nodded his head and waved his hand
"Yeah, I'm fine, Elena. Emma's evil. Just tired, you know what they say; if they are tired...leave them home."

Elena shook her head
"Nobody says that."

The boy looked at her,questionably
"Then why do I say it?"

She rolled her eyes before hitting his arm
"Because your lazy."

As she got up be had a fake hurt look
"How could you say that? You really hurt my feelings. I don't think I can go to school like this."

Elena nods her head, with a sarcastic face
"Yeah, I guess you won't see Tyler today. I'll tell him how-"

Chris pointed his finger at her
"That was a low low blow. Where's Jensen when you need him?"

Elena shrugged her shoulders
"You know me. Get dress."

She slammed the door shut as Chris fell to his bed
"I. Am. Dying!"

He hit himself with his pillow before keeping his pillow on his face. He stayed like that for a while before getting up, groaning. He slowly walked over to his closet before pulling out the clothes and heading to the bathroom.

As he stripped himself from his clothing and heard the water in the shower going his mind fluttered to a picture of the car accident, how he was wrapped in a blanket and when he looked up his hair was in his face with it soaked.

He shook his head to get rid of the image before hopping in the shower. He wasn't sure long he was in there but after what felt like a couple minutes a knock come from the door.
"Chris, come on. We're gonna be late. You have been in the shower for forty-minutes."

Chris quickly turned off the water and dried himself off. He ran out of the room only to bump into Elena. Almost knocking them both down, Chris grabbed onto the door and held onto Elena's wrist as she almost fell down the stairs.
"That was a close one."

They both walked down the stairs seeing , Jensen, Jenna, and Emma in the kitchen. Although, Jenna was frantically looking around.
"Number two pencils. Am I missing anything?"

"Coffee,it's all about the coffee aunt Jenna."

Chris grabs a cup, borrowing two more. When he heard Elena 'hey!'. Chris turned around, handing her the second cup that was oiginally for Jeremy.
"Here."

Elena took the cup, Chris fading out for the conversation as he had started to plug in his earbuds before starting his music. He walked out the door, waiting for Bonnie's car to pull up. Chris was forced to sit in the back, plugging in his earbuds and blasting his music. Emma sat next to him in the back while Jensen had rode his bike to school. Elena was sat in the back aswell, as Jennifer Jameson was sitting in the front seat. The blond-haired girl staring at Bonnie in awe.

Chris had been forced from his thoughts when the car jerked to a stop, immediately tugging out one earbud. Emma threw an arm out, stopping his body from moving forward. Emma had thrown one arm over Elena as well.

"What was that?! Oh, my god! Elena, Chris, Emma, are you ok?" Bonnie asked the three. "Jennifer?"

"It's ok. I'm fine." Elena nodded.

"Yeah,  all good." Chris smiled.

"Perfect," Emma says.

"The second my brain settles back into my skull I will be," Jennifer groaned out. She had been resting her head against the window. Trying to sneak looks at Bonnie, without being noticed.

"It was like a bird or something. It came out of nowhere." Bonnie rushed to explain.

"Really, I can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of my life." Elena tells her.
Elena had been in the car when Miranda and Greyson Gilbert had drove off of Wickery Bridge. So, for a while, she hadn't wanted to get inside a car.

"I predict this year is going to be kick ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are over and you are going to be beyond happy." Bonnie smiled, then continuing to drive.

Killian sighed in annoyance, hitting his head against the wall. Before hitting it again.

"You have enhanced healing. And you can't die here, either," Kai announced.

"Can you shut up for once? And stop chewing so loudly! What are you, a horse?"

Kai mocked offense with a loud, dramatic gasped.

Killian slammed his head back into the wall.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░
Kendall has been walking towards the school, his earbuds in as he tried to block out the sounds of the students and vehicles being driven-and a couple a teachers. He found it calming. The music bouncing in his ears and he had found that the song was entertaining.

He couldn't find the word for it. He enjoyed the song and and felt the song strike a emotion in him.

Relatable. Familiar.  Fear.
Those were the words and emotion the song brought to him. Although he didn't understand  why the song brought fear to him.  It was just a song. Nothing more.

Kendall glanced up, his song slowly being toned out as he caught sight of Jeremy Gilbert. The boy had entered the men's bathroom, he waited a moment. Waiting and thinking it he'd go and follow the boy.
He needed to talk to him.
But, in the bathroom? Was that the best idea?

He shook his head, taking a step closer when he had seen Elena Gilbert enter the boy's bathroom to chase after her brother, he turned himself to face the other way.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

GLEN HALE WAITED IN THE HALLWAY, IN HOPE OF CATCHING A GLIMPSE OF CAROLINE FORBES. Not in a creepy way, he had liked the girl for a long time, not that the blond-haired girl knew who he was.

Glen looked over to see Caroline pull Elena Gilbert into a hug, before she began to pull Chris into a hug, before pulling Emma into one. Despite Emma's resistance to have been first given a hug. The group of siblings-along with a younger sibling, Jeremy, and an aunt they had; Jenna- had lost Miranda and Greyson Gilbert in a car crash in Wickery Bridge last year.

It was the only time he had spoken to any of the Gilberts, giving them his condolences.

Jensen had walked pass her. Or, well, he walked directly to his class, not stoping for a moment.

Ever since the death of his parents, Jensen had the feeling of anger lurking just beneath a fake smile. One that was highly noticeable that he'd done. Or sometimes, it was noticeable.

He had an amazing fake smile. Fooled everybody. But, sometimes it was clear that that's what it was, a fake smile trying to fool everyone.

He did get into fights, not many. And most of them had stared because he had gone to defend Jeremy, then his little brother would turn to him and yell about how he didn't need him to defend or help him.

Jensen sighed, walking trough the halls with his book-bag, he barely looked up, deciding to just go to class and not speak to anyone in the halls.

He was to tired to deal with the people on his class.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

The two Salvatore brothers and one sister had gone to Mystic Falls high,  Stefan having suggested it because of how he saw his brother's reaction. The two stood at the desk in the school office, handing over their papers for the woman to look over.

"Hold up. Who are they?" A female voice came from the entrance of the office.

"All I see is back," another voice replied.

"They are hot backs."

"I prefer a pretty face," Jennifer speaks. "And, of course, a wonderful personality. A beautiful smile too. Like you, Bonnie

Jesse smiled, amused about the conversation. Stefan reached hand, as if it was a simple movement, only to hit Jesse on the arm, below the desk, where the woman wouldn't see.

Emilia rolled her eyes.

"All three of your records are incomplete. You're missing immunization records, and we do insist on transcripts," the secretary speaks.

Jesse sighed. Before Emilia could move forward, Stefan removed his sunglasses, looking at the woman. "Please look again. I'm sure everything you need is there."

Jesse smiled widely. Emilia looked at her brother, impressed. "I didn't know you had it in you."

The Secretary looks back down at the paper. "Well, you're right. So it is."

"I'm sensing Seattle, and he plays the guitar." The voice speaks again.

"You're really going to run this whole psychic thing into the ground, huh?"

Jesse perked up at that, turning to his side as if to speak to Stefan.  While the girl replied with a 'pretty much, Jesse turned to look at Stefan. But, it was a excuse to catch sight of the two girls. He paused when seeing the girl that looked like Katherine, Elena Gilbert. "So, when was the last time you've spoke to Damon?"

He saw Elena walk away.

"Please be hot," The girl muttered.

Jennifer faked a laugh, wishing that Bonnie paid half as much attention to her as she did the new students.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Jesse walked the halls, towards the boy's bathroom when he dumped into someone. "Sorry. Pardon me." He looked down at the figure, only to see that it was Elena Gilbert. Jess looked up at the sign, seeing that it was the boy's room Elena had left. "This is the men's room?" he questioned, confusingly.

Elena laughed, nervously. "Yes. Um, I was just, Um--I was just-- It's a long story." Elena says, then pointed pass Jesse. Jesse stepped of to the side, but Elena had time that same way. "Just..." Jesse stepped to the right, extending an arm out. Elena smiled, nervously. "Thank you."
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Nicholas Beck sat in the cell, waiting for Lorenzo to return. Once again, Enzo threatened the guard to take him, mustering up strength he hadn't even had so that they would take him instead of Nicholas.

Nicholas could hear Enzo's screams of pain.

And then they stopped. Nicholas panicked at first, thinking they had grown tired of Enzo's threats. "Enzo!" Nicholas immediately yelled. "Enzo!"
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Killian was annoyed with Kai. He had hot wired a car and drove it. For an hour.

Kai found him.

Killian crashed the car.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░
In history class, Glen barely paid any attention as Mr. Tanner spoke. "Once our home state of Virginia joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension within the state. People in Virginia's northwest region had different ideals than those from the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863 with the northwest region joining the union."

In history class, Jesse was unable to take his eyes off of Elena. The history teacher was speaking, although Jesse was barely listening. He didn't need to, anyway. He had constantly been glancing over at Elena.

Glen saw the new student-well, there was three, he saw Jesse-starting at Elena Gilbert. Glen has also seen Isiah Matthew's glancing over at Stefan Salvatore.

I hate him. Jensen thought, knuckles turning white from the grip he kept on his pencil in his right hand and held his desk in left.

His history teacher was annoying, and he was tuning out everything that he was saying. Only hearing parts of it. "....Within the state. People in...different ideals than...."

He didn't hear anything else as he started to scribble and write all over his notebook.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Emma planned to get her schedule switched so that she could have class with the rest of her siblings and friends. The girl sighed, listening to Mr. Evans explain the math equation.

At least, this teacher wasn't an asshat like Mr. Tanner. Plus, everyone was always saying how Mr. Evans and Mr. Tucker were both incredibly good looking men.

Emma swore that some students would purposely fail a test or quiz so that Mr. Evans would spend some time helping them. But, at least, she had Jennifer in her classroom. She leaned over, making sure Mr. Evans was facing the board. "Want to switch to History with me?"

"Why would I do that?" Jennifer asked.

"You could share a class with Bonnie," Emma mocked in a song-sing voicez

Jenifer kicked her.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

"That girl is looking at you," Katherine told Anubis.

"Do I have blood on my clothes?" he questions, looking down at his clothing. He frowned, confused when he saw no sign of blood. "There's no blood; that's good. I love this shirt."

Katherine rolled her eyes. "You know how to do that?"

"Clearly. If I didn't-" I wouldn't have followed you for five hundred years. "I wouldn't have Roxy. Or Phonix. Or David."

Once again, Katherine rolled her eyes. "I still can't believe you stopped running to collect animals on the street."

"Hey! I may have killed multiple people, but I'm not a heartless, evil bastard to leave an animal on the side of the road."  he glared. "Like some people."

Katherine smiled, making it look like a mocking one instead of the genuine adoration she felt.   Her smile drifted a bit when the girl who had been looking at Anubis began to walk up to them.

The girl, a brunette, wearing a red shirt, jean jacket, pair of blue jeans that were drawn on, and a pair of white converse-which were also drawn on- walked up to the two. She nervously fidgeted with the bracelet on her wrist. "You're new, right?"

Katherine rolled her eyes. She looked directly at Anubis, about to mock the girl, but Anubis had turned to the girl.

The vampire male faked a sigh. "Is it that obvious?"

"I just would remember seeing a face like yours."

"Oh," Anubis says, having not expected that.

"I'm Natasha," the girl smiled, extending her hand to him.

As Anibus reached out, Katherine leaned over he table, grabbed his extended hand, and pulled it back towards the middle of the table. She gave the girl a threatening smile. "Leave," she compels. "Don't look this way again."

Natasha nodded, turned around, and walked back to her table. Anubis sighed. "Can I not have one conversation with someone other than you?"

"She was flirting with you," Katherine says, still not letting go of Anubis's hand.

"And? What? You're the only one who can flirt, but the second I do, its 'we are on the run. We have no time for you to be a whore.'"

"I've never called you a whore."

"It's the look you give. See, like that. That look's saying I'm an idiot."

"Because you are."

"And you're a serial killer, asshole."

"So are you."

"I am not an asshole!" Anubis immediately denied, offended.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Kendall had gotten a text from Jeremy Gilbert in the middle of class. At first, he ignored it. He was in class, and Jeremy was just texting because he was bored.
But, Jeremy kept texting.

And now, he was getting annoyed.

So, he had raised his hand and asked the teacher to be excused to use to the bathroom.

Once he entered, in less than second, he was pulled by his shirt, and the door slammed shut. Jeremy smiles down at Kendall.

"We are not doing anything in the bathroom, Jeremy." Kendall told the other boy.

"I just wanted to see you." Jeremy still smiled. Kendall stared a moment, before leaning in and quickly kissing the other. "Come over."

"To get caught by your one of your siblings?" Kendall asked. "Like hell I am. I swear Elena hates me."

Jeremy wraps his arms around the other, pulling him in closer. "How can she hate you? You've never even spoken to each other."

"She caught me leaving the last time. It was so fucking awkward. And plus, Jensen is fucking scary! And don't get me started on Emma! Elena and Chris are okay."

Jeremy laughed.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░
Jesse, Emilia, and Stefan walked around the graveyard. "I don't even know why we visit the asshole," Jesse muttered. "He's probably burning in hell, still wishing he killed us."

The three siblings barely ever visited their father. It was their mother and friends that they had made in the last hundred forty years. It was highly foggy; all three looked up when hearing a scream. Only for the two as Elena falls in front of them.

"You okay?" Jesse questioned the girl.

Elena breathed out, heavily, she gestured behind her. "Were you following me?l

Emilia crossed her arms. "I have better things to do with my time then-" Jesse elbowed her.

"No, I, uh, I just-- I saw you fall," Jesse awkwardly says.

Elena hummed. "and you just happened to be hanging out in a cemetery."

"Hey! We aren't following you! Stop hang so-" Emilia started

Usually, Jesse would be angered, but it was clear the girl has been frightened. "We're visiting. We have family here."

"Oh. Wow. Tactless. I'm sorry. It's the fog, It's making me foggy. And then back there, there was this bird, and it was all very hitchcock for a second." Elena quickly went to explain. "That is the bird movie, right, the hitchcock?" she laidz l
"I'm Elena."

"I'm Jesse. This is Stefan, my brother," Jess introduced. "And my sister, Emilia."

"I can introduce myself," Emilia glared at Elena.

Elena nodded. "I know. We have history together."

"And english and French," Jesse grinned.

"Right," Elena nodded, starting at Jesse. Jesse leaned closer, reaching out and taking the leaf from her end of her hair. "Thanks. Nice ring."

"Oh. Thanks. Yeah, It's a family ring. I'm kinda stuck with it. It's weird, huh? Stefan's got a matching one," Jesse says. "So does Emilia. But, smaller."

Stefan lifted up his hand, showing the ring when Jesse looked at him.

Elena smiled. She thought it was cute that the siblings have matching rings. "No, no. It's just, I mean, there are rings and then there's that."

"Did you hurt yourself?" Stefan suddenly asked.
Elena hummed in question, looking away from Jesse.

Jesse frowned when he smelled blood. "Did you hurt yourself?"

Elena walked over to prop her leg up against a rock. "Oh, uh, I don't know." She rolled up her pant leg. "Oh! Look at that. That is not pretty. You ok?"

Jesse looked at Stefan. "You should go. Take care of that."

Elena began to roll down her pant leg. "Really, it's nothing." She turns around but the siblings had disappeared.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Jesse had found Elena's diary, looking at the notebook in shock before quickly going to find the girl and return the notebook.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Jesse had found Elena's house, raising his enclosed hand to knock on the door, when it opened.

"Oh," Elena says, surprised.

"Sorry, I was about to knock. I wanted to apologize for my disappearing act earlier. I know it was... Strange," Jesse says.

"No worries. I get it, blood makes you squeamish," Elena smiled.

"Um, mostly my brother," Jesse smiled, knowing the look his brother would give him for saying that. "How's your leg?"

"Oh, it's fine. Just a scratch, barely. How did you know where I lived?"

"It's a small town. I asked the first person I saw," he helped up the diary, handing it to her. "I thought you might want this back."

"Oh, I must have dropped it. I-- Thank you."

"Don't worry, I didn't...read it."

"No? Why not? Most people would have."

"Most people are assholes," Jesse laughed. "Anyways, I wouldn't want anyone to read mine."

"You keep a journal?"

"Yeah, if I don't write it down, I forget it.  Stefan got me into it, said 'Memories are too important.'"

"Yeah. I'm just gonna, Um, you don't have to stay out there." Elena entered her house again.

"I'm fine." Jesse says, as it wasn't an invitation to enter the house. Elena looked back over at him. "Sorry, were you going somewhere?"

"Yeah, I'm meeting a friend. Do you want to come?"

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░
Jensen sighed as he had came home to see no one else, he immediately went to his room, turning up his music and falling onto his bed, turning around and grabbing the book at the side.

He opened it, flipping to he page he had previously been on. And he smiled as he picked up his pencil, circling and underlining paragraphs or lines and sometimes writing in the margins.

He let out a sigh, hearing a knock at his door. "Jensen? I'm going to the Grill-" he didn't let his sister finish the sentence as he swung the door open with a wide smile, hoodie in his hand as he started to shove it on. "Let's go!"

Jensen stopped, freezing at the entrance at the boy who stood on his porch. "Uh..." he scanned the boy, the other looked his own age, perhaps a year older at the most. And he wasn't holding anything in his hands, so it wasn't that someone had ordered food.

"Jensen," Elena walked closer smiling. "this is Jesse. Jesse, my twin brother, Jensen."

Jensen reached out a hand, Jesse grabbing it and shaking. "Nice to meet you. Your coming to the Mystic Grill?"

"I invited him." Elena spoke, making Jensen sore a glance at her, then turning back to Jesse to see him looking at his sister.

"So, I-I'll meet you there."

"Jensen-" Elena started, seeing the way Jensen looked at Stefan and her.

Chris sat in his room, doing some of his homework when a knock at his door had made his turn. Elena smiled at him. "I'm going to the grill with Stefan, the new boy, want to join?"

"Sure," he immediately said, not knowing who Jesss was and not trusting him. "Let me grab my jacket."

"Hey," Chris spoke, seeing the boy in a leather jacket stand by the door. "I'm Chris." He stuck his hand out, walking outside onto the porch.

"Jesse," he smiled back, shaking his hand.

Emma had her jacket in her hand, having heard the conversation. "Sweet, let's go. I'm Emma," she smiled.

Jesse looked at all of the siblings, seeing Jensen search for his jacket. "Jesse."
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Enzo was returned later. But, when they returned him, they had taken Nicholas.

Doctor West had made a cut next to his eye, cutting across.

Enzo wake up the sound of Nicholas screaming in pain.

░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░
Isiah Matthews had seen the new siblings. Stefan, Emilia and Jesse Salvatore. But, it was Stefan who had caught his attention. He was hoping at some point, that he could find an excuse to talk to the other.

He didn't know how he was going to do that.

"What's going on in that evil, mastermind head of yours?" Glen Hale questioned.

Glen has gone to the Mysic Grill, despite his best efforts to avoid the place when Vicki Donovan was working. All the girl ever caused was terrible. Plus, she was a whore. Or at least, Glen thought that would be her job in a year or two.

Glen sat at a table, with Isiah Matthew. Just as he always had he sat up straighter when he saw that Caroline Forbes had entered the Grill, with Bonnie Bennet. The two were engaged in a conversation, one that Glen couldn't hear with how the two were in the opposite side of the Grill.

He saw Kendall Griffo, sitting alone.

Kendall waited at the Grill, sending a text to Jeremy that he'd be at the grill. Kendall had showed up earlier then the time he had said, anxious. He hadn't met to show up early, he just did.

But, when he saw Jeremy enter, the other walked towards Vicky Donovan. This confused the other, who nervously scratched the back of his neck and glanced around.
But, Vicki starts to walk around, and Jeremy follows her.
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

Jesse had panicked, surprised she would invite him and asked if he could invite his brother, Stefan.  So, the six walked into the Grill.

A boy with blue eyes, blond hair walked up to them. Jesse recognized him as Matt Donovan, one of the boys in his History class. "Hey, I'm Matt, nice to meet you."

Jesse smiled back, accepting the extended hand. "Hi, I'm Jesse. And my brother, Stefan," he gestured to Stefan.

"Hey," Elena says.

"Hey," Matt stared at her.

When Chris entered with the two, he had immediately gone to go find Bonnie, smiling at the girl as Matt left, he sat down. "Hey,"

"Hi," Bonnie replied, also smiling at him. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I swear," he tells her, knowing she is still thinking about the car ride this morning. "Seriously, it's not you're fault."

Kendall had seen the Gilbert siblings walk into the Grill, with the three new students. All he knew was their last name; Salvatore.

Jeremy sat down, smiling at Kendall. "Hey."

"Hi." Kendall replied, nervously.

"I ordered your favorite." Jeremy says, trying to get the other to be calm.  Kendall smiled back at him. "Are you coming over tonight?"

"No, but, I am going to the party tomorrow."
░▒▓█►─═ 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 ═─◄█▓▒░

They had to get another table and drag it over, connecting them so that the large groups could all sit next to each other. Jensen has walked in.

"So, you were born in mystic falls?" Caroline asked the three siblings.

"Mm-Hmm. And moved when we were still young," Stefan answered.

"Parents?" Bonnie asked.

"Our parents passed away," Emilia says, causing the table to quite, he didn't know if he should bother in letting his presence be known.

Jensen approached the table, a fake smile on his face that looked so realistic, it tricked even his sister. "Hey," he spoke, unsure of what to say. He had just wanted to check on Elena.

"Jensen." Elena said, smiling.

"Hey, Listen," he turned to Stefan. "I'm sorry if I seemed like an asshole back there."

"It's okay." Stefan smiled.

Chris frowned, as did everyone else. "I'm sorry. Any other siblings?"

"None that I talk to. We live with our uncle."

"Lucky, want to switch siblings?" Chris asked. "You can take Elena and Jeremy," he jokes. "I'll stick with Jensen and Emma."

The three Salvatore siblings smile as Elena gives a fake hurt gasp. Jensen swung an arm around Chris, and then Emma, pulling them closer. "I would rather kill myself then choose between my siblings."

"So, Stefan, Jesse, if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow." Caroline speaks.

"It's a back to school thing at the falls," Bonnie informed.

Jesse turns to Elena. "Are you going?"

"Of course she is," Bonnie smiled.

"Well, I'm gonna go and order myself a burger." Jensen said, walking to the counter. "Cheeseburger and fries." He spoke, glancing back at his siblings and friends.

Kendall cursed as he got home, throwing down his bag in the corner of his room. He had begun to realize, that over the summer, he had began to have feeling for Jeremy. Which was ridiculous, the other only ever wanted to use Kendall as a distraction it seemed.

Before the summer break, before Jeremy's parents died, the two had been planning to date. The two going on a few dates, but, then Grayson and Miranda Gilbert died, in a car crash.
And Kendall wanted to help the boy.

Kendall sighed, collapsing onto his bed. "You damned idiot." He mutters to himself.

Everything was extremely different between him and Jeremy now, and he knew it wasn't just because Jeremy was grieving. The other had started to smoke and take drugs.

Although, Kendall had also tried to help him in that category, as he didn't want the other to end up having medical problems from this or end up hurting himself. But, if Kendall tried to mention it, Jeremy would get upset and walk away.

"You three promised," Zach told the two brothers and Emilia as he walked into Stefan's room, which Jesse was saying how Stefan should go to the party and find someone. Emilia had gone to the room to make fun of Jesse.

Stefan takes the newspaper out of Zach's hands. "This was an animal attack."

"Don't give me that. I know the game. You tear them up enough, they always suspect an animal attack. You three said you had it under control."

"We do," Jesse replied.

"And we were telling the truth," Emilia says.

"Please, uncle Stefan, uncle Jess, Mystic Falls is a different place now. It's been quiet for years, but there are people who still remember. And you being here, It's just going to stir things up."

"It's not our intention," Stefan says.

"Then what is? Why did you come back? After all this time, why now?"

Stefan looked at Jesse, seeing how his brother was getting angry. "We don't have to explain ourselves."

"I know that you can't change what you are. But you don't belong here anymore," Zach speaks again.

Jesse crossed his arms across his chest. "Where do we belong?"

"I can't tell you what to do. But coming back here was a mistake," Zach walked out, throwing the newspaper on the ground.

Jesse smiled at Stefan. "He makes me want to turn him into a vampire, see how much shit he talks then."

Jesse went into his room, going over to his dresser, he opened it. Then pulling out a picture; of a girl that looks exactly like Elena, with curly hair. Underneath the picture, was a name written in cursive; Katherine. And next to the name, a year; 1864.

Jesse didn't like Tanner, he thought the man was a asshole who used his status as a teacher to humiliate the students that he taught.  He doubted any of the students liked him.

Glen glared at the history teacher, annoyed with the man.  Glen hoped this day would go fast, so he could go to the party already.

"The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle?" Tanner questioned, looking around at the students. "Ms. Bennett?"

"Um...a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot." Bonnie answered.

"Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett." Jesse made up his mind. He would kill this teacher. He knew that Emilia would help him. "Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?" Mr. Tanner asked.

"It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it," Matt says.

"Aren't you the football couch?" Glen asked, a bit to loudly as the students chuckled.

"Mr. Hale, would you like to answer how many casualties there where?" Mr. Tanner asked, angrily.

"Enough to make it a deviating event in history."

Tanner hummed, annoyed with the students. "Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events?"

Elena shocked her head, stumbling for her words for a second. "I'm sorry, I--I don't know."

"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break." Tanner's words made all three of  the Gilbert siblings eyes look down, Jensen glaring down at the desk in front of him.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Isiah Matthews speaks.

"What the fuck?" Glen snapped.

"Fuck you," Chris snapped. He felt eyes on him.

"You can leave-" Tanner started to tell the three boys.

"There were 346 casualties, Unless you're counting local civilians," Jesse speaks, glaring at the teacher, jaw clenched.

"Watch your langue or leave my class," Tanner told the Hale, Matthews and Gilbert  boys, before he turned to Stefan, but glanced at Chris, Glen and Isiah wanting to kick the students out of his class. That's correct. "Mister...?"

"Salvatore." Jesse supplied.

"Salvatore. Any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls?" Tanner asked.

Jesse smiled at that. "Distant." He looked back at Emilia, who was smiling.

"Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle," Tanner walked behind his desk.

Jesse looked back at Stefan, annoyed with the teacher. Stefan spoke up before Jesse could say anything to get himself into trouble. "Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapon. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner," Stefan says.

Most of the class contained their laughter. Glen covered his mouth to prevent from laughing any-farther. Chris Gilbert laughed, being the only student to laugh aloud. Tanner glared at the red-head. Emilia laughed out loud.

Stefan gave his brother and sister a look.

"Matt's that friend since childhood that you start dating because you owe it to yourselves to see if you can be more," Elena explained.

"Oh..." Jesse says, truthfully he had never got that. If the two truly liked each other, yeah, he understood it, but, it if was the way Elena was telling it was, be never got a hold of it. "And then my parents died, and everything changes. Anyway, Matt and I, together we just, I don't know, It wasn't, um... It wasn't..." Elena struggled to find the word.

Glen's head snapped up at the sound of panicked yelling. Jeremy Gilbert ran out of the woods, holding a body as his sister, Elena running along side him.  "Somebody help!"

"Shit!" Jensen yelled, stumbling for a moment before being able to balance himself and stand next to his siblings.

"We need to get out of here," Jesse says, swinging an arm over Stefan's shoulders and pulling him to him. If anything, he'd snap Stefan's neck before he attacked the girl, or someone else.  Emilia was right behind them, throwing an arm around Stefan.

Matt pushed through the people. "Vicki? Vicki, what the hell?"

Matt, Tyler and Bonnie run up to the older, unconscious girl. Kendall is dimly aware of that but not focusing too much.

Kendall fell asleep.

Jeremy placed the nineteen-year-old on one of the picnic tables.

"It's her neck, something bit her. She's losing a lot of blood." Elena yelled, panicked.

"It's been 15 years, Damon," Stefan spoke.

"Thank god. I couldn't take another day of the nineties. That horrible grunge look? Did not suit you. Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from fads."

"Why are you here?" Stefan repeated, reaching out and grabbing Jesse's arm. He pulled him a step back. Behind him.

"I miss my little siblings."

"You're incapable of feeling anything other than hatred," Jesse snapped.

Damon mocked a hurt expression, hand over heart. "Jesse, how could you say that?"

"You hate small towns. It's boring. There's nothing for you to do," Stefan told the dark-haired vampire.

"I've managed to keep myself busy," Damon walks around the room.

"You know, you left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you."

"Ah. That can be a problem... for you guys."

"Why are you here now?" Jesse asked. "Answer before I break your neck."
