Many of the sect disciples had gone back. Only the Jiang, Jin and Nie sects remained. Nie Huaisang had called his brother and told him everything about the situation. To say he was angry was an understatement. Nie Mingu was furious. He wanted to behead Meng Yao. Thankfully Lan Huan came just in time.

"LAN ZHANN!"

"Wei Wuxian! Why must you be so loud?! And get away from Wangji!" 

Wei Ying stopped clinging to Lan Wangji for a moment to look at Lan Qiren. Both stared at each other. One lost while the other raged looking at the scene. Everything went quiet and everyone stared at the master and Jiang's disciple. 

"Blah~"

Wei Wuxian stuck his tongue out and continued to cling to Lan Wangji, who only sighed while wrapping his arms around the younger waist. 

"Uncle please refrain yourself!" Lan Xichen helplessly pulled Lan QiRen back who was trying to get out of his nephew's hold to strangle Wei Wuxian. 

~A few minutes later~

"Thank you... Grandmaster Lan QiRen for having us." Jiang Cheng said bowing while the others copied him. "We'll head off now." 

"Please take care on your journey young Master Jiang." Xichen smiles at Jiang Cheng.

"A-Cheng. A-Xian..." Yanli calls the two.

"Yes JieJie"

"Shijie?"

"I just want to say thank you for suggesting this. I learned a lot and wasn't lonely either."

"Hehe. Shijie saying only thank you can't be enough! You have to make thiiiissss much lotus soup for us when we get back!" Wei Wuxian says waving his arms around. 

"Make it yourself! Idiot!" 

"Hey if you want to make your own you are welcome to. I want to taste the one my Shijie makes with her own hands." 

~Wei Wuxian's POV~

So far everything has been going well. 

Funny.

Everything had been going well up till now in the past too. The only difference is that I stayed the whole year and instead of Lan Zhan having the Yin Iron, I have it. 

Flashback

We stripped off our robes leaving us only in our trousers. Thank god that this while material is not see-through in water otherwise, we were gonna have some problems. 

Ahem Ahem.

"Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, god it's so cold. How can you stay in here for hours? brrr..." 

Lan Zhan just smiles and pulls me closer, circling his arms around my waist. 

"Practice. Have been doing this for a long time." I hear him say.

As my body adjusts to the chilly water, I draw nearer to Lan Zhan, finding comfort in his embrace as I burrow my face into his neck. His sandalwood scent is so refreshing that I almost forget about the cold water.

We were in the hidden cave where we met Lan An for the first time. The temperature down here was even more chilly.  The atmosphere was calm and the water somehow made a soft humming sound.

"Lan Zhan look! The Bunnies with the small headbands. Ahhh so cute!" 

"Mn... cute like Wei Ying" He smiles. 

"Let's go..."

We walked towards the guqin and I expected the instrument to attack like last time. However, to my luck, nothing happened.

What... Lan Zhan, why didn't I get hit like last time?"

Before Lan Zhan could answer, a woman's voice which I immediately recognised, spoke.

"Because you're already a member of the Lan Clan." 

A woman with long black silky hair appeared behind the guqin. Her posture was straight and her eyes were closed. she also had this strong aura around her. Stronger than before. 

"From Wei Wuxian to Lan Wuxian... through marriage." She smiles as she opens her eyes.

"How do you know that?" we both sit in front of her.

"Well first of all I shouldn't be here." I stare at her confused. 

What does she mean she shouldn't be here? If I have gone back in time her energy should be restored to however much she had back then.

"What do you mean?"

"I remember both of you and knew you would be coming. A year ago I was suddenly brought back here with the Yin Iron. I didn't know why but when I saw that cursed iron again... I knew something must have happened. The Yin Iron has a much stronger resentful energy surrounding it." she says looking at me.

"Does Master know about the future?" Lan Zhan questions.

"Unfortunately, yes. I do know what happens in the future. I also know that you in every way were NOT responsible for anything that happened. Wei Wuxian, I know that your situation was... well desperate."

I give her a small smile and I feel Lan Zhan squeezing my hand. 

"Would you still like to have the Yin Iron Lan Wangji?" 

I look at Lan Zhan and he shakes his head.

"Wei Ying should have it this time. The Wens were successful in taking it from me before. I don't wish to repeat that."

"But you're stronger now Lan Zhan."

"Mn. But Wei Ying should have. You have experience in suppressing it. If the negative energy is stronger. I believe Wei Ying is the only one who can truly suppress it." 

"Very well then. Wei Wuxian I hand over to you the Yin Iron. Protect it and make sure to not let any energy escape. "

I take the Yin Iron and take out a pouch. However before I can do anything further, the pouch drops from my hand as I clutch onto my head. 

Voices.

All screaming from every direction fills my head. They are so loud that I can't even hear my thoughts let alone Lan Zhan's voice. My whole body shakes. I knew that I had to do something so I gathered a large amount of my resentful energy and focused on the Yin Iron.

Finally, after what seems like forever, I manage to put it in the pouch and seal it. Just before the sealing is complete I hear a voice.

Be cautious Be cautious! Something terrible awaits. Be Cautious! Worse than before!  Be Cautious!

"Wei Ying!

"Are you okay?" 

I nod but the voice's words still echo in my head. 

Be cautious of what? Something terrible? Will something happen that didn't happen before?

They all curled up next to the youngest. Everything was calm. Too calm for Jin's liking. And then he heard it.

The second oldest suddenly screamed alerting the members. Yoongi was never one to scream as he always took care of every situation calmly. So hearing him scream showed that it was something serious. Jin ran into the kitchen to see the rapper backed up against the wall.

"Yoongi-ah what's wrong?" Jin quickly crouched next to Yoongi who pointed at the window in the kitchen."T-there was someone there!" Saying this Yoongi gets up and runs outside. However, when he got there he was again met with silence. No movement that could indicate someone was there.

"Get inside everyone!" Jin said. As long they were inside they couldn't be hurt.
