"W-Wei Wuxian what did you do?"  Wei Ying's eyes widen seeing the flowing blood come out of the male before him. His yellow robe was now dyed red. His eyes were losing its life. 

"I-I ... no I-" No words came out even if Wei Wuxian tried. Everything was repeating again. Except for this time it happened in cloud Resses with every clan there to witness that he used resentment energy.

"Monster!"

"He's using Resentment!" 

Get away from him!"

"Cursed"

Everyone shouted profanities at the boy who backed away. 

//Wei Wuxian's POV//

My mind became hazy from everything that was going on. Just a minute ago I was shouting at Jin Zixuan and then the next minute everything was silent. Everyone backed away from me. I looked over to Jiang Cheng and even he looked shocked. My gaze went over to my ShiJie and I regret even looking because of the fear in her eyes. I didn't want this. How could I have messed up? That too this quickly. My breath became heavy as I tried to breathe. Everything started spinning and before I knew it I was on the ground gasping for air. Nobody came to help me.

I was alone again. 

"Wei Wuxian!" I heard but it was getting too loud to hear anything. The ringing in my ears soon turned into painful screams and all I wanted to do was get out and leave everything behind. I wanted to disappear as I didn't want to see those stares of disappointment and disgust directed towards me.

"Wei Wuxian!" 

My eyes snap open and I'm met with the wooden ceiling of the Inn. I turn my head to see a worried-looking Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng. Though Jiang Cheng looked more concerned than worried. 

"W-What happened?" I asked, my voice came out raspy due to the dryness in my throat. Both of them sighed. As I tried to sit up Lan Zhan was quick to pull me into his warm embrace. I was still confused wasn't I at Cloud Resses? Is Jin Zixuan dead?

"A Nightmare..." Jiang Cheng finally said. "You were having a nightmare... screaming and then you couldn't breathe ... we panicked and woke you up as soon as possible..." he explained pausing a few times. A sigh of relief left me knowing that I hadn't messed up this second chance...

Yet.

The lectures continued once Shufu- I mean once Grandmaster Lan arrived. 

*sigh*

Though we started off on a bad start the old man wasn't that bad. Now thinking about it he must've been just worried and concerned for both his nephew while also handling the clan. And with everything that was going on. I want the old man I know back. He gets angry with everything I do but I at least know that he would stand up for me.

"Wow, Wei-Xiong your painting on the lantern looks better than even mine!" Nie Huaisang said admiring the artwork. I smirked feeling proud. I had drawn two bunnies representing both me and Zhan. When I look over to Lan Zhan I see that he had drawn some musical notes on his. Now if I hadn't known him I wouldn't have known what the song was. but I think we all know which song it is.

//No One's POV//

Everyone was getting ready to release their lanterns into the already night-turning sky. Wei Wuxian smiled as Lan Wangji came and stood next to him and gave him a small smile. If they were alone he would have given him a soft kiss on his forehead but unfortunately, that was not the case right now.

"Wow, Young Maiden Jiang your lantern looks beautiful..." Jiang Yanli smiled softly at the compliment. While she didn't do swordsmanship she enjoyed most of her time doing paintings and calligraphy alone in her room. "Thank you Maiden Wu I really appreciate it..." She was about to release the lantern when the girl next to her spoke up again. "Maybe you should release your lantern with Young Master Jin... after all, he is your fiance..." Young Maiden Wu smirked and the girls around them 'ooed' and laughed while Yanli blushed. Though when she turned around to catch a glimpse of her fiance the smile which she held almost fell. 

"Ah, that wouldn't be necessary..." 

Everyone was happy and mesmerized seeing the lanterns light up the night sky. As they were about to head back a disciple came running towards Yanli. When she heard what was happening she panicked and hurriedly went towards the commotion.

"I don't care for your precious Shijie anyways! Who told her to keep the engagement going on!" Wei Wuxian was ready to throw his fist at the arrogant peacock that was standing in front of him. He would have already done so if it weren't for his brother and husband keeping him back.

"Why don't you ask what exactly should satisfy me about her huh? if you're so worried why don't you ask her hand in marriage from her father? Doesn't he treat you more dearly than his own son!" Jin Zixuan shouted as his clan members tried to pull him away. He wasn't going to sit around after being degraded by someone who was inferior to him. The engagement that happened had no say of his. No one had asked for his opinion on this either. 

"What did you say?!" Wei Wuxian struggled in Lan Wangji's hold. It wasn't much problem for Lan Wangji due to his strong body but he did need to put in some effort as Wei Wuxian was a bit stronger now. "Wei Ying please stop..." he tried saying but Wei Wuxian ignored him. Although Wei Wuxian was mentally prepared for this he never knew how much the other's words would affect him. "Let me go! I'll show this peacock who he is messing with!"  Wei Wuxian was about to punch Zixuan but stopped absurdly remembering his nightmare. 

Jin Zixuan fell back when a punch came in contact with his face. Everyone was shocked. Nobody had expected the Young Master Jiang to punch Jin Zixuan. Just when Jin Zixuan was about to do that same another punch came flying towards him this time from Wei Wuxian himself. 

"Don't you dare say those words in front of me ever again understand you arrogant piece of shit?" Jiang Cheng spoke in an authoritative tone. "You think you were the only one who didn't have a say in this engagement! And if I ever hear you talking to Wei Wuxian like that ever again things won't end up good for you pretty little face..." Everyone was shocked. Hearing him speak like that to the Jin latter not only sent a shiver down his spine but everyone's. (Except Lan Wangji ofc :) ) 

"If you don't want this engagement fine! I'll personally ask my father to cancel it." Jiang Cheng said as he took both Yanli and Wei Wuxian with him while Lan Wangji glared at Jin Zixuan and followed Wei Wuxian. He may not be a clan leader right now in this timeline but He is still a clan leader who knew how to put people back in their place when they talked shit about his family.

The next morning both Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng were kneeling with Jin Zixuan after all three of them received punishment. The clan leaders from both clans were called and it was decided that they would cancel the engagement as both parties in it didn't agree to it.  

"A-Xian... A-Cheng..." Jiang Fengmian came towards them. 

"ShuShu!" Wei Wuxian got up and embraced the Jiang clan leader who accepted the hug from the younger. Jiang Cheng watched fondly as they two held each other in each other. However, what he didn't expect was Wei Wuxian holding out his hand and calling him. 

"What you staring at us like that come here ChengCheng!" Wei Ying said and Jiang Cheng happily went to him. The three hugged again before stepping back. 

"Father... Wei Wuxian was not the one who punched him first it was me... I will take full respon-"

"Hey! I punched him too! Don't take all of the credit!" Wei Wuxian said not liking how Jiang Cheng was taking all the blame.

"Don't worry... I've talked to clan Leader Lan and all of you three will be staying and completing your studies here." Jiang Fengmian smiled. Wei Wuxian groaned as he was already looking forward to going home but also was happy that he would get to spend more time with his fuddy-duddy husband. 

"Cool, I'm going to Lan Zhan then bye ShuShu!" Wei Wuxian ran off.

"Are A-Xian and Lan Wangji close?" Clan Leader Jiang asked his son.

"You have no idea..."
