Alrighty
Ok so I thought I would never update this one again lol
I haven't been tagged in anything in ages
I really don't mind if you tag me, it's pretty fun
It's the tagging other people part that I don't enjoy as much, cause I don't wanna bother anyone lol
(Btw sorry in advance, I can't shut up about shit, so this is long)
But anyway, I was tagged by Ink1Chara
So here we go
1) books or movies?
Definitely books
I do enjoy movies
But the trouble is they just don't end up as good
A perfect example of how I feel about books vs movies is the Harry Potter series
The films are pretty good. I saw them first, and thought they were alright, but I wasn't overly fussed about them, so that's why it took me so long to read the books
Cause they are good
But just
I didn't find them as amazing as I found other stuff
But then I read the books
Instantly fell in love with the series
Loved each and every one of them
I actually can't say enough about how amazing the books are
But then I went back and watched the movies
And they're still good
Nothing about them has changed what so ever
But now I sometimes find it hard to watch the movies because of one or two small details that are just plain wrong that annoy me (like how they changed the house colours and animal of Ravenclaw, which is just plain stupid, and would even make me angry if it wasn't my house they screwed over)
Or they leave out details, or don't explicitly say certain things, that just left me confused before I read the books, and/or just fun little things that I like and am disappointed they left out (like the marauders backstory in PoA)
But then occasionally they add in something that wasn't in the books that I love
Like (spoilers) when Snape dies, his last line in the films is "you have your mothers eyes", which he doesn't say in the books, and that line in that place specifically is one of my favourite lines in the entire series, because it's just so nice y'know
And like
When you watch a movie
You're supposed to watch it all at once
I mean you can watch a bit of it, pause it, then watch the rest later
But it's designed to be watched all in 1 go
But not books
With books you can read however much you want
(Unless you're me when I'm in a real big reading mood and plowing through them 1 book per day, which, I'll be honest, I did a couple months ago, and won't be surprised if I do it again soon lol)
Also speaking of me in a reading mood, that's also another thing
I don't get in a big movie mood where I feel like I must binge watch every film I own all at once
But sometimes I do with books
So yeah, definitely books
But I do enjoy films too :3
2)Favourite animal?
Ooo tough one
I'm torn between 2 at the moment
I mean I love ravens and crows and just corvids in general
They're really cool
And super smart and shit
Like R E A L smart
And it's gotten to the point where I've decided that if I'm the future I ever (for some unknown reason) have to spend enough time outside while also not actually doing anything
I'm gonna gather around all the crows and shit in my area
And give them bread and other food that's good for them in exchange for money and shiny things (because I like shiny things and god I'm just a magpie aren't I XDDD)
And like
The more money they give me
Or the more I like the shiny thing I'm given
The better the bread and other food is
Plus, just the aesthetic
Also they can fly (yeah I know most birds and a lot of things that aren't birds can, but still pretty cool)
(Also it's kinda ironic that I love ravens so much, and yet I'm so angry that they changed the Ravenclaw animal to a raven lol)
But I also really love the octopus
They're also really smart
They can fit into any space bigger than its beak
8 really cool arms
Camouflage really well
Just really cool
Also they can swim real good and can breathe under water which is really cool ( I mean I know almost all ocean life can, but it's still a really useful skill to have)
3)favourite author?
I mean, I don't normally just read a book because of an author
I read because I'm interested in the story
Or because it's a book/book series I've already read 17 times but it's R E A L G O O D
4) favourite books?
OOHOHOHOHO BOY THIS IS GONNA BE A FUCKING LONG LIST
The Harry Potter books, obviously. They're so good, I could go on about them for hours (which I have done several times in the past, speaking of which, sorry, Mum for that, and thank you for having THAT level of patience with me)
And then there's the hunger games books, which are always good reads. I've only read them twice all the way through (I read the first 2 3 times but then I found out something that happened in the last one half way through and idk just kinda lost interest until I decided to read them again about a year later). Although, I still need to read the ballad of songbirds and snakes, but I don't think that's gonna happen too soon as I haven't got a copy of that yet
A series of unfortunate events are really good. I gotta reread that again soon, it's been a while
Gangsta Granny always makes me cry
(I mean, most books I've read have, I'm just overly emotional, but this one is R E A L L Y good). Just such a good wholesome story that is sad at the end
Also the midnight gang is really good. Gotta reread that again soon too
Uhhh
There's the book that be more chill is based off, that goes by the same name
That's pretty good
I prefer the musical tbh, but it's still really good
There's this really funny line where Christine hears Jeremy talking to his squip and is there like "what's that", and Rich says that "it's his name for his dick" and Christine is there like "wtf guys name their dicks why" and Jeremy is there like "yeah, Rich calls his 'Mr Cheese Head'"
And I'm so mad that part's not in the musical, that's one of the best bits
Also there's a Dear Evan Hansen book based off the musical that I've read recently, that's really good
It's pretty similar to the musical
And there are often times where the lines are exactly the same or almost exactly the same as the musical, which is really cool
Also Zoe is a song writer in this, so there was a part where she was writing and singing her part on requiem, and there's a part later on when she and Evan are dating, when she invites him to this bar, cause she got a spot as a singer there for an hour or two, and one of the songs she sings is her part in only us
So those moments are really cool
Also, what I really love is that we learn more about Connor
Cause every couple of chapters after his death, we get a part that's just his ghost commenting on what's been happening, watching his family, and getting curious about Evan and why he's doing what he's doing
Also apparently Evan is his middle name
His real first name is Mark, named after his dad
But his mum didn't want him to take his fathers name, so she calls him Evan
And then he decided to go by Evan because other wise his initials are "MEH" which he doesn't like, cause he likes "EH" better
But if you do like the musical and enjoy reading, this is highly recommended
It's written by the same person who wrote love Simon, so that's pretty cool
Speaking of love Simon, that has definitely gotta be on the list
I mean, technically it's called Simon vs the Homo sapiens agenda, and it's just the movie that's called love Simon
But I've got the movie version of the book, which is basically exactly the same, except the cover has film Simon on it, and has the fulm name rather than its proper name, and at the back there is the script for one of the first scenes of the film
But still, it's really good
Also, yesterday I got the sequel, Leah on the offbeat, so I'm really looking forward to reading that one
The fault in our stars is also really good
I borrowed it from my school library, so I haven't read it in ages, but luckily I bought my own copy yesterday, so now I get to read it whenever I want, which is great
Speaking of books I read ages ago, but only because I borrowed it from my school library, but I really liked it, and now I've finally got my own copy of it so I'm gonna read it again soon, Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is really good. I've been meaning to get into that series for ages, so I'm glad I finally have the starting point. Although, it's funny, because a couple years back someone got me one of the Percy Jackson books (guess they heard I wanted to read them), but they got me the last one, so that's funny
There's also fnaf silver eyes. I really enjoyed that, and I've been meaning to read the sequels for a while
Aaaaaaand
At the moment I'm reading a really good book called the fandom, about this girl called Violet who is going to comic con or some sort of convention, with her friends and brother, all in cosplay for their favourite book, but then for some reason (that so far hasn't been explained) they get sucked into that book, and Violet accidentally gets the main character, Rose, a rebel spy(who for some reason looks a lot like Violet) killed, so now she's gotta take her place and do everything Rose does so they can go home, but the trouble is at the end of the book Rose is supposed to die
So that's pretty good so far
That's all the ones I can think of rn
There's probably more that I probably remember later
5) any hobbies?
Uhhhh drawing
Reading
I used to write a lot, but I don't do that much anymore
Occasionally I might play a game like minecraft or life is strange, but I don't do much gaming, especially not if I can't play it on my phone
I also go on walks a lot. Mostly because my dog need exercise. But I do still like doing it
It's about the only form of exercise I actually like at this point lol
6) indoors or outdoors
Fucking indoors all the way
Yeah, nature is fucking lit and all
But I don't like actually going anywhere much
Like
Ok sometimes I've done cool things outdoors
Like, a couple of you might remember, 2 years ago I did this thing called ncs, which was basically week 1-camping and outdoor activities, week 2- staying at a collage and doing teamwork activities, and weeks 3 and 4- charity work
And that was pretty cool
I didn't enjoy the camping or the caving, but other than that (and the fact that that week we were only allowed our phones for a couple hours in the evening), week 1 was definitely my favourite week. Plus it had my highlight of the whole experience, where in 1 of the activities(it was either canyoning or gorge walking, we did both and I still can't tell the difference, but to be fair they were basically the same thing except the walk we took)they kept changing every 5 minutes or so which of us would be in charge out of our group, and that person would go the the front to lead the group (after the instructor person), and they would then get one thing they specifically were meant to do, and I got to push people off this mini cliff edge into the water below, which was pretty cool in itself (I mean, how often do you get the chance to push people off a cliff and not get in trouble or hurt anyone). But then, towards the end of the line of people I got to push was my at the time best friend (I'm still friends with him, but we haven't seen each other much or talked much for a while, which sucks cause he's great), and let me tell you, if you enjoy pushing random people who you've known for less than a week off a mini cliff, you'll fucking love throwing your best friend off
10/10, would definitely recommend
No better feeling that just yeeting someone you're close to into the water
But still, despite how fun that was, I just don't think I'm all that built for the outdoors
That and then also I'm just too lazy to do shit like that on my own
7)Favourite colour
Turquoise, blue, bronze, black, and rose gold
8) age
18, but in just under a month I'm 19
Jesus Christ I feel old saying that
I'm legally an adult
And can legally buy alcohol and shit if I want
I've been able to say that for almost a year, and it still doesn't sound right
9)your worst fear
Oh jeez uhhh
I mean I'm not a big fan of the dark
Or of heights
Death also isn't that fun of a thought
But 1 thing
I fucking hate
More than anything else ever
Fucking needles
I fucking hate them
Jesus Christ
Like, obviously if I need a blood test or to get any shots or anything I will (I won't enjoy it but I will because I know I have to)
But I fucking hate them
Like I can't even look at a needle on screen or anything
Like, a few years back I had to have 2 operations in my mouth (long story short, my teeth are a bitch)
And obviously for those I had to be sedated
But because I was panicking at the needles
Even the butterfly needle which is supposed to be for kids so it wouldn't hurt
Even though my hand had numbing cream already on it so I definitely wouldn't feel it for a while
They had to straight up get the gas to knock me out before they could inject the sedative and actually operate on me
So that was fun
I just fucking hate them with a passion
Jesus fucking Christ they fucking suck
Although about a year ago I did have a flu jab and blood test on the same day, and I didn't panic too much, so I'm kinda proud of that
But still
Just fucking keep them away from me unless there's no other option please
10) favourite food
Pasta, chicken, and chocolate
Can't get enough of them
11)introvert or extrovert?
Oh I'm definitely an introvert
Absolutely no question about it
12)favourite anime?
Ok I don't watch a lot of anime, but I love death note
Also angel beats is amazing
Also spirited away is super good
AND OH MY GOD HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS A SILENT VOICE THAT ONE IS SO GOOD EVERYONE GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW ITS ON NETFLIX AND ITS AMAZING
But yeah, other than those 3 I don't really watch much of it
I mean, I used to like Pokemon (black and white, I haven't seen any of the other series), but I haven't seen that in years
I've been meaning to get into more anime, but idk what to watch
13)what's your lucky number?
I don't really have one tbh
If I had to pick 1 rn, probably 420
But ehh
14)favourite song?
I have over a thousand songs in my music library, and those are just the ones on my phone, so I really don't think you guys want me to answer that one, or we'll be here for a while lol
But we can narrow most of it down to musical soundtracks and game soundtracks and shit like that
15) a random fact about yourself
Ooo ok then
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
Can my fun fact be that I find myself so uninteresting that it took me 5 days to think of a fun fact, and that's why it took so long for me to update this, because I wrote most of this the other day? .......no? Ok
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh I know
I used to be ambidextrous when I was little, but now I'm not
That's a fun story
You see, some of you may know, I have dyspraxia, which is basically a developmental disorder that makes me bad at literally everything, and also explains the everything about my everything of my personality lol
And anyway, so one thing with that is your fine motor skills fucking suck (like some people with dyspraxia might have trouble with tying shoelaces, or holding/using things like scissors, pens, pencils, etc, and also writing neatly and drawing and shit like that can get difficult(which is ironic because of how much I love to draw)), so in infant and junior school (ages 4-7 and ages 7-11 respectively) I used to get taken out of classes sometimes to work on those
Another thing with dyspraxia is that you often get mixed up on your right and left (I learnt a bit later than everyone else around me, and I'll admit even now when I'm drawing and I need something to be specifically on the right or left of a character, it will take me a second to think where I would have to draw it)
Anyway, so as I said, writing neatly, and gripping onto pens and pencils can be sometimes (and by that I mean often) difficult for me, and when I was in infant school/early junior school and had to write a lot in class, my hands got tired, and when this happened, because I still didn't quite know which was right and left, I would normally just switch which hand I wrote with. I think I was primarily right handed, but I had no trouble switching to left
Anyway, one day, it was either towards the end of infant school, or the beginning of junior school(I can't remember that well lol), I was out of class working on my fine motor skills with a teaching assistant and a couple other kids, and this time we were working on cutting things out, so the teaching assistant gave out those kid friendly scissors that are colour coded for left and right
And as I said, I thought my left was right and my right was left, so I picked up a pair of left scissors and stared using them with my right hand
And the teaching assistant was there like "no that's not right" without explaining what I was doing wrong, and took away the scissors I was using and gave me some right ones, which I immediately started using with my left hands
And the cycle just continued like that for a while, with me getting confused as to what I was doing wrong
And eventually she was just there like "stop just use 1 hand" and I was there like "But you keep taking away my scissors" and she finally said "you're using them with your wrong hands. Are you right or left handed" and I guess that just kinda led to me thinking "ok, now I only get to choose 1 so I can only do 1 from now on I guess" and picked right
I mean, I can see why she got frustrated, I think it must of been about 10 minutes of me doing that before she finally told me to just pick 1
So anyway now I'm not ambidextrous, I'm more anti-dextrous lol
But just all seriousness though I can't do a thing with my left hand now, so that kinda sucks, cause it was always so useful when my right hand got tied (which happens more often now cause I'm drawing almost non stop) to just switch
Except eating. I eat left handed because I got confused as to which was was the right and left handed way to eat at around age 10 or so, and now I flat out can't eat any other way, so that's fun
And that's the story of how I learned my left from my right, while also losing a skill that had I kept it could have come in very...........handy :3(I'm not sorry XDDD)
So anyway, that's all the questions
As I said, I'm not tagging anyone cause I don't like bothering people, but if anyone reading wants to do this, feel free
Also, please tag me in more stuff, this was really fun to do :3
