     KATERI CALL HAD NEVER WANTED to break Jacob Black's heart. It was the opposite direction that she wanted it. She was madly in love with the said boy, but even he didn't realize it, not unlike the entire reservation. And by the time Jacob Black did realize his feelings, she left.

     Kateri had her reasons for leaving one of the three places she'd frequently travel to. LaPush was too much for her. As a young kid, she was young, naive, and innocent in the world with her cousin and his two best friends, shadowing them like a trail of ducklings after a mother hen, though if she was honest, she was the mother duck, and the three stooges were her ducklings, but that didn't matter. She left, and then time changed for both of them.

      Two years seemed to be a short time, but to her, it felt like centuries spent with her grandparents and her father. Her mother had passed away due to a car accident ( one of the reasons she left LaPush ), and she had no one except her aunt Tiffany and Embry. To her, her family was everything, and I mean she would drive back home in a heartbeat if something happened to any of them, and when she got a frantic call, she dropped everything and left the Makah reservation.

      Returning to LaPush so soon after she left wasn't in the cards for her. She feared she'd fall back into the same trap by the name of Jacob Black and his kind soul and biggest heart. Lord, Kateri knows he couldn't hurt a single fly, instead taking it outside and allowing it to live, but as far as Jacob was concerned, Kateri was just another person who left him. Yet, she would try to avoid him at all costs.

     If only she could. In the short time she'd been back, her cousin had gotten sick, phased into a shapeshifter ( and witnessed, which was not supposed to happen ), and ended up involved in a world of the supernatural. But boy, Kateri had been infuriated when the heart of Jacob Black had been broken, and luckily not by her, but by the one and only Bella Swan.

      And to make matters worse, her own heart kept shattering. So, could she try to mend her own heart back together and let the love of her life fall victim to another heartbreak? Or would she try her hardest to win back the one heart that makes her feel whole? And just like that one night in late December, she's afraid to repeat another goodbye.

Welcome to Back to December! July 7th will forever be the day the most amazing album and songs have released. Back to December was a fic I immediately needed to do, and hence Jacob Black's first crush, and love came into play! However, things are changed within this fic and around the universe. Out of respect for the Quileutes, I am doing as much research as I can revolving the tribe along with the Makah. First and foremost, I am staying true the Legends, and also try to be respectful to the Tribes in general. This will be the first fic involving Indigenous cultures, so please at anytime come at me if I misunderstood or written anything disrespectful, because I want to be able to stay true, and Indigenous culture is respected greatly! With that note, I'm very excited to introduce you to Kateri, and her side of things!
