Gaara of the Desert

Sakura's POV
"Tell me again. Who was this guy you where talking about?" I said slowly. "Wha? Who do you think you are to speak to me you Konoha bit-" I cut him off with a kunai an inch away from his eyes. "Now...what was that, you said about who?" I asked, my voice low. He shivered. "R-R-Rokoru the Great D-Dragon of the West, R-Rokoru...." He stuttered. I smirked a bit and pulled back. "Thank you~" I smiled and disappeared back to where I was waiting for the rest of the team.

I yawned as I hid behind a rock and told the guards that I was going to surprise my team. I needed to wait a bit longer until Sasuke says cr- "Why isn't Sakura here yet?" He asked. "She's probably not even half way here yet. She's as slow as-" I interrupted him half way. "As always?" I asked. "You hardly know me and you say this?" I sighed. Sensei then lead us to the Suna's Governors's building.

We greeted them and they gave us a file. "We are asking you to do this for the sake of our village..... This criminal has files of every single person in the village. He threatened that, if we were to hunt him down, then the entire village would be destroyed with a jinjuriki....." The man's voice traveled off. "Ichibi...." I whispered. People looked at me confused, not hearing what I said as some others, looked at me shocked. There saw silence between us.

"Um...." I said and broke the silent. "Can we go now....?" I asked impatiently. The nodded and send a man to guid us to where we were staying for the next two weeks. I checked out the place before go into the living room to the boys and sensei. "There're only two rooms, one bed in each, one of the room has a couch and the other doesn't." I said. Kakashi-sensei sighed and took out a few sticks.

"Ok. This is simple. Pick one each. You'll all get a colour on the stick. It's either going to be black or blue. So if you get blue, your in the room with the other person who had blue and etc. if you get black, you in the room with a couch and blue, the other." sensei explained.

'I'd rather sleep with Naruto than Sasuke.'

I reached out and pulled out a blue one. I looked around to see me sharing a room with.....

........Kakashi-sensei! (You guys thought it was going to be SASUKE! Didn't you! XD)

"What?! I'll need to share a room with Teme?!" Naruto shouted. "Oi! Your the one to complain? I'm stuck with a farting Dobe!" Sasuke argued back. I sweat drop at their childish acts. I sighed and went to the room I'm sharing with sensei and unpacked my things. "Sakura?" I looked up from my bag to face Kakashi-sensei. "I'll sleep on the couch so-" he said. "Na. It's fine, this room can fit another mattress so I'll just move this!" I interrupted and pushed the bed a bit to the other side of he room before summoning a soft mattress, pillows and blankets.

"Oh, ok....thank you." He said. I nodded before laying out the blanket neatly as sensei unpacked some of his things. *Knock! Knock!* I went over to open the door to find Naruto with a annoyed Uchiha Sasuke. "Can we go get some dinner?" Naruto whined. I opened the door fully and let them in. "Alright, here's some money. I'm not really hungry so I'll sleep first.

I rolled my eyes and took out my purse that I pack for extra. "Here, I'll put the money in here." I said, taking the money from Naruto. "Yes!! Food! Let's go find food!" He yelled. I smacked him across the head and pointed out that sensei was already asleep. We walked out quietly and closed the door.

"Hurry up and order Naruto! We're all waiting. Including this waitress~" I sighed. Naruto has been looking through this menu for ages. "Okay! I got it! I want this one!" He shouts and shows the waitress the menu. "Finally." I sighed, standing up. "Where are you going?" Sasuke asked. "Shopping." I said. "Do you even have money?" He asked. "I have some money I earned from my parents." I lied, I'd actually earned it from the Hokage himself when a save that man's life. "I'll be back in before my food comes. Trust me." I said before wandering off.

I changed my mind and went to the closest park I remembered from the future. As I got there I saw five boys my age, around a red haired boy. "What are you, you freak?!" They yelled at him. It was Gaara. "Oi! Stop!! Go away! You shouldn't bully people from your own village!!" I yelled. They turned around, they were all wearing Suna head bands. "Your a Konoha kunoichi! What's an outcast like you doing here?!" They yelled. I started walking over to Gaara who was sitting on the swing with lust in his eyes. Lust of blood. The five boys blocked me and pushed me away.

I sighed and rubbed my temple. "You do not want to mess with me you useless bullies." I said. "What did you call us?!" One of them yelled. "Useless." I repeated. "Do you know who I am?!" The guy in the middle asked. I shrugged. "I'm the son of the head of the council here!" He said. "And I AM the head of the entire Konohagakure's Hospital." I said. "Yeah right, someone as weak as you cannot be-" I disappeared behind him, holding a kunai at his neck. "Did you say something?" I asked.

He shivered and shook his head. I dropped my hand and put my kunai away. "E-Excuse me?!" I voice yelled from in front of us. It was a man that looked like he was from the Suna Hospital. "A-Are you H-Haruno Sakura?!" He stutter. I pushed the guys in front of me away and walked up to the puffing man. "Yes. What is it?" I asked, placing my hand and infusing visible green chakra into him to calm his breathing. "T-Thank you....this man here needs your help, immediately." He said and pointed to the man held by another two medics.

He was bleeding non-stop and pale. "Oh no. Lay him down on the bench quickly." I pointed to the bench near Gaara. I took out a piece of and wrote down some thing that'll need to be ready after I've healed this man. "Here, I'll finish quickly so one of you stay with me.

It has only been seven minutes in total, when I left the restaurant and came here and finished healing the man. I sat on the swing next to Gaara as the five boys ran away where I glared at them. "I'm Sakura, Haruno Sakura........ Why aren't they nice to you?" I asked. His eyes softened a bit. "I-I'm Gaara of the Desert.....Because I have no friends. And I'll never will." He said and looked away. I smiled gently and stood up. "Gaara..." I said and stood in front of him. "You already have a friend." He looked at me confused. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him close.

"I'm your friend. Today. Tomorrow and Always." I said and looked at him. His eyes widened. "If I told you that I am the container of the Ichibi...then would you still be my friend?" He asked. I giggled. "Yes. You know...on my team, I have a member in my team that's the container of the Kyuubi." I smiled and dragged him up to his feet. The I pulled him away from the park and headed to the restaurant. "Where are we going?" He asked. Stares and gasps were on us. "To eat dinner. My team mates and I are eating I called a rather large meal for myself, so why don't you have half with me? Have you had dinner yet?" I asked. He shook his head an smiled for the first time.

"Um...miss?" A lady asked as we passed by her. "Hm?" I replied. "D-Do you know who you're dragging around..?" She asked. I nodded and smiled happily before walking away and entering the restaurant. "I'm back." I said. They looked at me confused as I dragged Gaara in with me. "Naruto. Go sit next to Sasuke so that, Gaara can sit next to be." I said. Naruto stubbornly shook his head. I cracked one of the fist and held it up to his face, his gulped and moved quickly.

As we sat down and settled ourselves, Naruto kept on glaring at Gaara. "Oh, stop being jealous Naruto. You can sit next to me next time." I said, rolling my eyes. "Really?! Promise?!" He yelled. I nodded. "Okay. Naruto, Sasuke. Meet Gaara.....Gaara.... Meet, Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto." I introduced. "Be nice boys, my going to the bathroom." I growled at Naruto and Sasuke.

Normal POV
As Sakura left for the bathroom, there was awkward silence between the the three boys. "Um....hi?" Gaara said, breaking the silence. "Hi..." Naruto and Sasuke said in unison. Then there was silence again. In the corner of the restaurant, you could see Sakura trying to hold in her laugh. She had came back from washing her hands and she watched them being awkward.

Her cheeks were puffed and she ran back into the toilets laughing. She was half crying as she remember Naruto glaring at Gaara while he sweat dropped. The awkwardness between them was hilarious for her. After a few minutes, she cooled down and wiped away her tears. Walking out calmly, she headed for her table. "So.... Did anything happen?" She asked like nothing happened. "Thanks for waiting, here's your food." The waitress rushed off quickly when she saw Gaara.

I sighed when people carefully moved away from the Ichibi. I saw Gaara frown as we ate. "It's alright, Gaara-kun. We're here and we're your friends." I whispered to him softly. He gently smile and continued eating.

We wave goodbye to Gaara and headed back too the house we were staying in. I unlocked be door and opened it carefully before entering. I walked in and plopped down on the couch. "Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked. "Hm?" "Why did you bring a person with you to eat with us when you just met him?" I chuckled at his question. "Trust me Naruto. He needs friends, he is exactly like you when you were younger." I said. "But that was until I met you Sakura-chan!" He exclaimed with a goofy smile before walking off.

I looked out the window and sighed. "Why are you sighing?" Sasuke asked. "I don't know........" I answered as my mind trailed off into my train of thoughts. I thought about what could've changed in the future right now. I've done some things to mess around with the future.... sighed and didn't even know that time was passing by quickly. I looked away from the window and looked at the time. It was 10:30 and I'm still in the living room.

I got up and headed for the bedroom until I sensed two unfamiliar chakras. I was on alert and walked to the bedroom like nothing happened and hid 3/4 of my chakra. Two people were watching me. It wasn't Gaara, that's for sure. I walked into the room and closed the door quickly. Checking to make sure that the chakra signature wasn't in here, I woke Kakashi-sensei up. "Oi! Kakashi-sensei! Wake up!" I called out. Then I realise that he had ear plugs in................ (−＿−#)

I lifted up my fist infused with Clara and smashed it down until sensei caught my wrist and stood next to me. "Woah. Watching it there, Sakura...." He sighed in relief. I looked at him then the bed that was smashed in half, then back at him. "You're a sensory type?" I asked confused. He rubbed the back of his head. "My future self didn't tell you that?" He asked. "No." "Well....I sensed you were here, but didn't think it was important since I heard Naruto yelling at Sasuke, I used ear plugs." He replied.

I rubbed my temples and stood up from the bed. "There are people here..." I warned. He nodded. "I know..." He said. "I'm going to check out who it is, you go wake Naruto and Sasuke, don't let the person into their room." Sensei said. I nodded and grabbed a towel and some clothes, like I going to have a shower. Opening the door, I left it opened a bit since it creeks and headed for the the boys's room which was next to the bathroom.

There I quickly opened their door and shut it fast as I went inside. Checking for the unknown chakra signatures, I turned on one of the dim lamps and I headed for Sasuke first. "Sasuke! Sasuke! Wake up!" I whispered loudly. I gently shook him until a hand grabbed my wrist and flipped me under him and pinned my arms down. "Sakura!" He gasped with wide eyes.

A small blush creaked of my face as our faces were only an inch apart. He leaned closer and his lips grazed mine. "Wait! Stop!" I said as I turned my head to the snoring Naruto. "His asleep.....and?" Sasuke asked. "And some people are here, sensei is getting him out of the shadows now. So he told me to wake you and Naruto up." I gave a small blush. Sasuke gave a small frown and got off me.

I went over to Naruto and shook him hard. "Naruto!! How hard is it to wake up?!" I whispered loudly into his ears. "Ng! Give me five more minutes, old lady!" He yelled. (-_-#) I smacked him across the face and sent him flying to the wall next to him. "Ahh! Ooww! Why did you do that Sakura-chan?!" He yelled. I sighed. "Because you wouldn't wake up and someone else......two strangers are in the house." I corrected.

He groaned and took off his night cap. I opened the door and they followed. We went over to the two chakra signatures to find a two Suna ninjas on the ground, all tied up. I stopped hiding my chakra and walked up to them. "Who are you?" I questioned. "A-All did was to come here and warn you!" One of then yelled in fear. "W-Who are you anyways, girl?!" The other asked. "Why do you have such high-" I shot him a death glare and he shut his mouth.

"Again. Why are you here?" I asked. "W-We're here to warn you a-about G-Gaara of the sand!" The yelled. "And why is that?" Sasuke stood next to me and asked. "Y-You're an U-Uchiha?!" They sensed. "Sensory type huh?" Kakashi-sensei spoke up. "B-Because he c-carries t-he.....I-Ichibi.....!!" They yelled. In the corner of my eyes, I saw Sasuke's and Kakashi-sensei's eyes widened. I turned my head a bit to see Naruto who was shocked.

"So what?" I spat. All eyes were on me. "We have the jinjuriki!" I spat. The two mens's eyes widens.

"H-How do you know this....Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked and eyes turned to him. "Naruto....people should respect you and be kind to you. You carry the fox that almost destroyed the leaf. Your father, the 4th Hokage, Namikaze Minato, and your mother, Kushina, save the village by sealing it into you with one of the couple of strongest seals your clan posses........" I turned and walked to the window. "You're hero. Son of the fourth. If there didn't seal it in you, then that would mean they didn't love you enough to trust you to bear the jinjuriki." A tear slid down my face as I remembered when I asked Orochimaru to bring Kushina and Lord fourth back to life in secret and talked to them about Naruto's past. "Your parents loved you so much that they sacrificed them selves to save you when you were a new born.......as Sasuke's parent fought to protect the village you and Sasuke were already bonded by the string of friend the moment the Uchiha massacre happened....." I wiped away the tears that slid down my skin. "Gaara is just like you.....but has a darker bit of a darker side than yours.....but he was a lot stronger than you were.....His the son of the third kazekage.....his own father used him as an experiment because when Gaara was born, his mother died moments after she gave birth to him. His mother loved him so much that through his sand....it's not shukaku that's protecting him.....it's his own mother. His mother's love was stronger than his father since. After her death.
