Madara's Champion

The Sarada-clone sat tied up in a room, smirking widely. "Why are you still keeping me here? Don't you want me to report to my original so you can follow me back to her?"

"No, we still have questions for you." Shisui narrowed his eyes. "Lots of questions."

"Like what?" The evil clone asked innocently. Too innocently, Shisui thought.

"Like how someone made you." Shisui countered. "Everyone knows that only Hashirama Senju had Wood style."

"And also Captain Yamato." Younger Naruto raised his finger. "Him too, dattebayo."

"Yamato?" Shisui narrowed his eyes. "Who's that?"

"I'll explain later." Naruto promised the confused Uchiha.

"As for right now, answer the question." Older Naruto looked at the clone. "Or I swear to Kami I will kill something."

"Naruto, I feel like you're getting really aggressive..." Izumi sighed from the corner of the room. "I'm not saying its a bad thing, I'm just noticing it."

"I'm upset because it's literally like another Sasuke. I promised myself that this would never happen again, but I guess it was inevitable, huh?" Older Naruto chuckled, rubbing his temples. "The Sasuke-ness is just too strong in her personality..."

"Naruto, shut up." Sasuke sighed from across the room. He hated it when his daughter was compared to him. He wanted her to be like her mother, Sakura, but that wasn't how things worked out... "Just, shut up."

"So, do you guys want to hear about me, or just bicker about the past? Because if you just want to bicker, you might as well let me go." Sarada-clone spoke up, a wicked smirk on her face.

"Heck no." Boruto laughed. "You're going to get me my best friend back. NOW, about the wood jutsu..."

"Oh, yeah, sorry. Got sidetracked listening to your bipolar-ness." Sarada-clone snickered.

"Dang, Sasuke. Where did Sarada get the sassiness from?" Naruto whispered to his friend. "Sakura?"

"No, Sakura will just punch you when she's mad. I think she probably got it from either Itachi or my mom." Sasuke remarked back. "She's never like this to us."

"Well no duh, you're her parents." Naruto muttered. "At least you don't have a son who hates you."

"And who's fault is that?"

"Touché."

"Ahh, the wood style jutsu. I love how your comrade is missing and the only person who decided to do anything about it is Itachi." Sarada-clone muttered.

"What did you just say?" Sasuke asked, surprised. "Itachi's missing?"

"Well, no duh. Didn't you read the last chapter?" Sarada-clone asked, confused. "And that one voice who just narrated everything I just said?"

"She's crazy..." Boruto muttered to Naruto.

"I'm not crazy, I'm telling you I hear things! After anything happens, someone describes it, literally the way it happened!" Sarada-clone protested. "See? It just did it again!"

Shisui cleared his throat. "We'll worry about that later. For now, how did you come to exist?"

"Wood release: Wood Clone Jutsu." Sarada-clone chanted. "I'm telling you, the voice gets annoying. I know what I'm doing. You don't have to exaplain it detail by detail. Geez." She muttered. Everyone else ignored her, and huddled up to converse about the situation.

"So is Sarada capable of Wood Release now?" Izumi asked, frowning. "She wasn't able to do it before."

Sasuke looked at Sarada-clone, who had closed her eyes in annoyance.

"I'M NOT ANNOYED!" She shouted, in a very irritated manner. "I'm just a little bit upset at the fact that they won't talk to me." She explained to the mysterious voice she says she heard.

Sarada-clone doesn't seem to grasp that 'annoyed' and 'a little bit upset' are the same concepts.

"THEY ARE NOT!!! BEING ANNOYED IS WAY DIFFERENT."

"She's crazy... look at her, talking to nothing." Older Naruto rubbed his forehead. "I don't understand. What is wrong with her?!"

"That doesn't matter now. What matters is finding Sarada. And to do that, we have to know who can help us. Whoever made the wood clone could help us out." Kakashi said, coming in and sitting down, joining the group. "Dang, I wish we had Shikamaru's superior intelligence here. It doesn't make sense, Yamato is in Konoha, and the 1st is dead, so who...?"

"Madara couldn't have done it." Sasuke muttered. "This is so weird." He looked around, trying to trigger something in his brain. It was like something was there that he was supposed to remember, but he didn't, and that made things much more complicated than they had to be. "Who could've done it? Yamato isn't a traitor."

"No," Kakashi agreed, closing his eyes. Sarada was important to him, too. She was one of the more fun people in the group, and the idea of her betraying them sent chills up his spine. "What are we missing?!" He demanded, losing his patience.

"I don't know." Shisui muttered, "But it feels like it's obvious."

Sarada-clone giggled madly.

She then stopped giggling and stared at the sky. "FOR THE GOSH DARNED LAST TIME, I AM NOT MAD!"

"Oh my God..." Izumi muttered. "She's actually crazy." Izumi was very concerned with the whereabouts of Sarada, and she was concerned at how well they were treating her. They were the Akatsuki, after all.

"I'M NOT CRAZY, I'M TELLING YOU!!!" Sarada shouted. "AND I WASN'T SHOUTING. I WAS TALKING REALLY LOUDLY. IT'S NOT THE SAME THING.'

"Okay, let's question her, then get rid of her. Or send her to find the real Sarada. She's starting to get creepy." Sakura said. "It's especially weird when you see your down to earth daughter shouting at the ceiling." Sakura was very worried for Sarada, but was sure that her daughter would be okay. If anything, she would probably come back leading the Akatsuki. She was her child, after all. Sakura had taught her everything there was to know on how to deal with bad guys.

It was a whole different situation if her daughter was the bad guy.

"Okay." Shisui said, turning to the clone. "Alright, we give up. Tell us who made you."

"Can't say, sorry." The clone laughed. "Weren't expecting that one, huh?"

Sasuke's sword went flying towards the girl, hitting the wall right next to her neck. She couldn't move an inch without being cut. His Sharingan whirled to life, and he looked to be extremely angry.

"You will tell me where she is." He said. "And you will tell me now. Or I swear to anything that I will tear out you wooden heart."

The Sarada-clone gulped, then closed her eyes. "Fine."

Itachi looked around the hideout, and he saw that it was deserted. He then set traps, just because why not, and sat, waiting, for the Akatsuki to come back for their plans.

After that happened, he checked all of the rooms for the third time, this time with his Sharingan activated, and noticed a scrap of blue clothing.

It was the same fabric as Sarada's blue hoodie... and it appeared to be torn.

Now, one of the perks of being Itachi was that he could lie his way into anything. So when Zetsu --who was apparently 'scouting'-- found him, he was able to successfully convince him that he was coming back with information on his family.

"You can trust me." Itachi smirked. "Remember, I killed my family once. I'm more than willing to do it again."

Believe it or not, but after he said that, Zetsu had no more questions for him, which made Itachi internally chuckle.

Warily, Zetsu lead the way to the new hideout, that Itachi recognised as one of Orochimaru's. "So what are we doing here?" Itachi asked as Zetsu guided him to where everyone else was staying.

"We're waiting for Madara-sama to give orders, obviously." The dark side of Zetsu said.

"Madara-sama, eh?" Itachi asked. "Is that what we're calling him now?"

"It is said that Sarada Uchiha had joined Madara Uchiha on their quest for peace."

"You seem to be more energetic than usual." A familiar, laughy voice said. "What happened? Why all the questions."

"Kisame." Itachi dipped his head to his old partner. "Hello. I haven't been here in awhile, and I'm anxious to see what all has changed. That's all."

"I see." Kisame said. "But Itachi, it seems you've got some explaining to do to Madara-sama, eh?"

"Ah, yes, Madara-ojii-chan." Itachi nodded, wincing. How was he going to convince Madara that he was on their side? "Give me a few minutes to freshen up, and I'll pop in for a chat."

"I'm telling you, the smartass-ness is just in the Uchiha blood." Kisame muttered dejectedly. "Sarada just cheated me out of 400 ryo."

Itachi almost laughed. Hah. No surprise there. "I guess it is in the blood. Anyway, Kisame, show me a room, please?"

"Sure thing, Itachi. Just follow me right down this hallway over here."

Sarada looked up, smirking, at her great-great-great-great-grandfather. "How's that, Madara-ojii-chan?"

Madara squinted at her, then closed his eyes. "Good, Sarada." Good. Very good. There isn't much more I can teach her that she doesn't learn quickly.

But for now, I think I have someone else to deal with, huh?

"Sarada?" Madara asked. Sarada turned to him, a smile on her face.

"Yes, Ojii-chan?" She'd taken to calling him grandpa, because she said that calling him brother was weird. He couldn't blame her, so allowed it.

"I have matters that need taken care of. Can you train on your own from here?" Madara asked. The girl had really grown on him. She listened intently, and always did everything exactly the way he told him to do, unlike those idiot Akatsuki members. And she was fun, too. Not outright annoying, but just the right amount of teasing that kept training lighthearted. She said she had been around Uzumakis way too much, and that they had rubbed off on her.

"Sure, Grandpa." She said, bowed to him, and exited the room, heading for the other training room.

Madara sighed, then left the room as well, heading to where Deidara had said was his room. If Madara could get his eyes, he would be a force that was so powerful, Kami itself would be challenged. And that was the idea. To be the most powerful shinobi in the world.

He knocked on the door once, twice, then five times, and finally the door was opened.

"Madara-sama." Itachi bowed lightly, a smirk on his face. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" He walked over to the bed he had and sat on it, staring up at his great-whatever-grand-whatever. Itachi was not a person that Madara trusted. He had a history of betrayal, lies, and murder. No doubt, Madara's descendant was one hell of a force to be reckoned with.

"As you know, I have your niece." Madara began, before Itachi began to laugh.

"That's where the squirt went! You see, the Wood Clone you sent us was a flop, didn't work, fail, and gave itself away immediately. We were wondering where the real one had ended up." Itachi finished, leaning forward on his hands. "So little Sarada has finally come to the dark side, eh?"

Madara frowned. "You say that as if it were that easy."

"Isn't it, though?" Itachi asked, shifting his gaze to his relative. "After all, it only took me one night to become one of the most feared shinobi in the shinobi world."

"Yes, but you're you. Sarada, however, had very strong bonds with the village. Her parents, friends, family, all gone. It's not the easiest thing to break those ties." Madara said, trying to feel what Sarada was feeling, but failing, because he was Madara. "After all, you've seen how many times Sasuke could kill Naruto and gain the Mangekyo, yet he doesn't because of bonds he had three years ago."

"Times change." Itachi shrugged. "Sarada's normal generation is weak. They were sheltered as kids, and have barely known true pain. Sarada truly is a diamond in the rough. She handles pain like a true shinobi."

"I see." Madara nodded, then leaned against the door. "Itachi, do you think you could handle overseeing Sarada's training? She would be a key weapon in destroying the Shinobi World depending on who trains her, ne?"

"I could do it." Itachi shrugged. "What's in it for me?" He leaned forward, placing his folded hands under his chin, indicating that he was listening intently for an answer.

"Uncle/niece time?" Madara chuckled. Itachi remained silent. "Ahh, sore subject? I'm very sorry to bring up old wounds. What was it you were saying about their generation being weak? I think yours is. You see, child, I was raised much differently than you, and especially Sarada."

Itachi closed his eyes, and Kisame's earlier complaints about the smartass-ness of the Uchiha ran through his mind. That man wasn't kidding. The same spark seemed to be in, like, every Uchiha Itachi knew. "I am aware of that, Madara-sama. Just because you were trained in a different way, doesn't mean you have to train her that way."

"Oh no," Madara smirked. "I have a better idea. Sarada will train with you, and also them."

"Them, Madara-sama?" Itachi asked, confused. He'd scoured the whole building and there was no they other than the Akatsuki lounging around in Orochimaru's hideout.

"Yes." Madara smirked wider. "Them." Itachi's eyes widened in recognition, and his mouth dropped open.

"You got them?" Itachi asked incredulously.

"Yes." Madara repeated, a mad grin coming to his face. "This is going to be very fun."

Sarada's eyes widened largely, and she crept away from her uncle's door as quickly as possible. Slipping into her room and laying on the bed, she ran a hand over her face.

"What in the world have I gotten myself into...?"
