"We've had scientists work on your dilemma," Coulson explained to Daisy and Ward about a week later in the briefing room. "They've already built blueprints and have started working on the device to get you back home. All that's missing is the piece of the 0-8-4 that sent you here."

Daisy furrowed her brow, "we don't have it. It zapped us back in our time."

"Yes, but if it was in the future then it's here too. You told me that it was at least twenty years old when you found it. It should be here."

"What do we need to do?" Ward spoke up from the back of the room as he watched the briefing in silence.

"Hydra has it," Coulson stated gravely. "But lucky for us, one of the leaders is having a gala to raise money for another one of his campaigns. He also happens to be the one who has the 0-8-4 in his possession."

"You want us to sneak in?" Daisy asked, raising an eyebrow.

Coulson nodded, "precisely. If you two go undercover and infiltrate his house, you can sneak in and steal the gem."

A smile spread across Daisy's face, "it's a gem?"

Coulson nodded once again and pulled up a picture on the computer screen. It was a sky blue gem only slightly bigger than the fingernail on Daisy's thumb.

"This is so cool!" Daisy giggled excitedly, "a jewel heist! Legally!"

Ward rolled his eyes and smiled at her excitement. He turned to Coulson, "when do we leave?"

"Tonight," Coulson answered as he shut down the computer and exited the room. Daisy and Ward followed him down the hallway and into his office. Coulson sat down and started to go through paperwork as he continued to explain the mission, "you two are going undercover as a married couple. Daisy, you're an heiress looking to invest. It's why you're there. Once you've been there for a while and blended in, you're going to sneak downstairs and disable the security and find the gem. Understand?"

"Names?"

"Daisy is now Hannah Jacobson and Ward is now Gregory Jacobson. The Hydra agent who's throwing the party is named Jackson Gray. Everything clear?"

"Understood, sir," they both replied and exited the room.

"Well then, guess I should probably go get ready," Daisy commented as she and Ward walked back to their rooms.

Ward nodded, "yeah, I should too. I'll meet you when it's time to go."

Daisy turned into her room, where Coulson told her that her outfit would be waiting. She closed the door behind her and gasped as she saw the dress on her bed. It was a long navy blue silk dress with only one strap. It was flecked in small pieces of glitter and Skye smiled as she picked it up. She quickly slid into the dress and smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. It fit her curves perfectly. She ran a brush through her hair, which had now grown just a little bit farther than her shoulders. She pulled back a few strands and pinned them behind her head, adding a clip that made it look much more elegant. She put on her earrings and fastened a necklace around her neck. She picked up the ring box on her bed and smiled as she slid the engagement ring and wedding ring onto her finger. She heard a knock on the door and turned. She opened it up and Skye stood before her.

"Coulson said you were leaving- wow."

Daisy smiled, "what's up, Skye?"

"You look great," the young girl smiled.

"Thank you."

"I was just wondering how long you were going to be gone," the girl trailed off. She had become very attached to the agent recently, though she wasn't sure why.

"Hopefully we'll only be gone for tonight. We should be back by tomorrow."

"Where are you going? Or am I not allowed to know that?" Skye raised an eyebrow as she stared at Daisy's attire.

Daisy smiled, "I'm going undercover at a gala for a jewel heist," she explained with a smirk.

The young girl's jaw dropped and she stared wide eyed at the agent, "who are you going with?"

"Ward," Daisy said nonchalantly as she slipped on her silver flats.

It was Skye's turn to smirk now. She looked at Daisy and teased, "ooh, that'll be fun."

Daisy shrugged, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"You're going undercover with him, meaning that you'll probably be a married couple or something. It just looks like you're excited for it," the girl shrugged innocently as she smiled sweetly.

Daisy scoffed, "no. I'm only doing this because I have to. Not because I like him."

"Oh ok, sure," Skye teased. "I'm sure that's the case. But if you were telling the truth, you wouldn't be blushing like you are now."

Daisy turned to look at herself in the mirror and watched as the blush spread across her cheeks. She glared at the young girl, "oh just hush."

Skye giggled and made to leave. "Have fun, Daisy," she said as she closed the door behind her. Daisy shook her head to clear her thoughts and slipped the computer chip she needed into her clutch that she would be bringing with her. After she made sure she looked the part, she opened the door and walked to Ward's room.

He opened the door as soon as she knocked and he stepped out into the hallway. He was wearing a dark suit and dress shoes. He also had a wedding ring around his finger. Daisy looked him up and down before clearing her throat and realizing that she had been staring for too long, "uh, are you ready to go?"

He nodded and held out his arm. She took it and they walked to the garage where the car that they would take was waiting for them.

"You look nice," Ward commented as he held the door open for her.

Daisy climbed into the back of the limo and smiled at him as he sat beside her, "thanks, you do too."

She stared out the window as the car began to move and their driver took them to their destination.

Daisy took a deep breath as he opened her door for her. She stepped out and took Ward's hand, lacing their fingers together.

"You ready?" he asked her quietly.

"I was born ready."

"Then let's do this."
