Piper's POV

We all decided to go outside this time. Percy is no longer interested in playing football. So, Jason, Frank, and Leo throw the ball back and forth while Percy chases birds and pokes at ants with a stick.

I look over at Annabeth. She is watching Percy but, I can tell she is thinking about something important.

"What's wrong?" I ask her.

"Besides the fact that my boyfriend got turned into a five-year-old, there is something going on with that Gabe guy. I mean Percy never talks about him, and Percy tells me just about everything. I think he has mentioned Gabe five times in the six years I have known him and most of them were on our first quest or when he just got to camp and people asked him about his home life. One time he said something about Gabe after we fell. I also noticed that he seems scared whenever he talks about Gabe or when Gabe is mentioned. I have an idea but, I need to talk to Sally."

Just then Percy runs up to us. "Can we go swimming? Please? Please? Please?" He yells, dragging out the last please as long as he can.

"You don't have a swimsuit," Annabeth tells him.

Percy smiles at her, "yes I do!" He says happily.

"Really? Where?"

"I always wear a swimsuit under my clothes because you never know when I can convince my mom to take me swimming," he says proudly.

I laugh, "ok, well we have to change so, Annabeth will take you to the beach and we will meet you there.

I tell the others what we are going to and we go to change. We meet Annabeth at the beach. After we all arrive and the boys get in the water. Annabeth stands up from the blanket we are sitting on. Just then Percy runs up to us.

"Will you guys come swim with us?" He asks.

"I can't, I'm not in my swimsuit and I have to go help my brother with something but, the other girls will," Annabeth says.

"Ok," Percy says. Then he turns to Hazel and me, "let's go!"

We follow him out to the ocean and I watch as Annabeth walks off.

"Where is Annabeth going?" Jason asks.

"She told Percy she has to help her brother but, I think she is going to talk to S-a-l-l-y," I spell out Sally's name so, that Percy doesn't know who we are talking about.

"Oh ok, where did Percy go?" Jason asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"He was right here by you," Jason tells me. "Now, he's not. Where did Percy go?"

"Oh, my gods! I don't know!"

Sally's POV

I'm sitting in the living room with Paul when we hear someone knock on our door.

"Do you know who that is?" I ask.

"No, I don't think so," Paul says.

I get up and open the door to find Annabeth.

"Annabeth!" I say, giving her a hug. "What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story but, basically Percy made Zeus mad. So, Zeus turned him into a five-year-old and Percy keeps talking about Gabe, his first step-father, and I was wondering if you could tell me a little about Gabe and what Percy was like as a child so, we can take care of him until Zeus turns him back into a seventeen-year-old. We would bring him here for you to see him but, I don't know how he would react to that. Can you please help us?" Annabeth asks me.

"Of course come in," I say. I lead Annabeth back to the living room where Paul is waiting.

Annabeth sits in a chair while Paul and I sit on the couch.

After we tell Paul what happened I start telling Annabeth about what Percy was like when he was younger. "He was shy around new people but, once you got to know him and he got to know you he was not shy. He was a pretty easy kid. He didn't ask for a lot. He was happy playing by himself, although he did like it when I played with him. He was very funny and sassy. He was also very kind to everyone. He loved to play at the park and swim. He did get himself into some interesting situations but, I think those had to do with him being a demigod," I tell her.

She nods, "Ok, thank you. Is there anything you can tell me about Gabe? If you don't want to that's fine."

"No, it's ok. I married Gabe because of how bad he smelt, it helped hide Percy. I married him when Percy was two. He was not the nicest man in any way. He was very demanding and wanted me to do everything for him. About a year after we got married he started hitting me sometimes," Paul puts his arm around my shoulder. "He also told me that he would never touch Percy as long as I did what he said. He was like that until we got rid of him when Percy was twelve," I finish my story.

Annabeth POV

Sally finishes her story and I give her a hug. We talk about everything else going on for a little while longer before I have to get back to Camp.

I arrive back at Camp and go right to the beach. I look around and see that all of my friends are in the water talking.

"Hey!" I call. "What's going on?"

They look at each other before Hazel comes over to me. "We kind of lost Percy," she says.

"What do you mean you lost Percy?" I ask.

"He was right next to Piper and Jason then, they turned around for five seconds and he was gone. Now we can't find him anywhere," she explains to me.
