Running isn't easy especially in a maze with a limp. Right before a turn, my leg gives out causing me to faceplant onto the cold stone floor of the maze. I use the wall next to me to help myself up, after getting up I try to catch up with the others. "Wheres Newt?" I hear Tommy ask Minho. I hear footsteps running towards me. Tommy rounds the corner and grabs my wrist, we catch up with Minho. It being, well with lack of better words Minho, he gives us that stupid look when you are sitting with your crush in 3rd grade. I shrug it off as just Minho trying to get a reaction outta me. 

We keep running and Tommy eventually lets go of my wrist when we sit down for a break. We quickly grab a drink of water and keep running. When we finaly finish for the day I feel like collapsing. We have a fire like we always did, and eat dinner and chat. When we all finish we head to bed, I've never fallen asleep so fast. I wake up somehow feeling well-rested and head to the center for breakfast. We eat rather quickly head into the maze, another day. Luckily I don't faceplant. We sit down for another break, this one a bit longer and we talk about who will do what with the new Glader, about whos explaining what and whos going to help them remember their name. We decide on the traditional fight, they used to have to fight Gally but we will let them choose between us.

I don't know why we were discussing this, still almost a month until a new Glader comes. Well probably so were not panicking when the box comes up. We end our break and start heading back to the doors. While running, I realize we took a wrong turn and tell Minho. "Thanks Newt, I didn't realize we did."  We fall silent and I hear the Gurrr click of a Griever, looking at the others clarifies I wasn't the only one who heard it. I try to run faster but I cant. I take Tommy's hand and keep running. It makes me feel odd, taking his hand but its better than meeting a Griever, way better.  I don't regret it and don't let go, but neither does he.
