~3rd March, 2019~

"Hey, where are you going?" I let James chew on his toy dinosaur and switch my attention to Dan slipping on his shoes. He freezes.

"Oh, um, I'm just going to film a video with Phil." He smiles nervously.

I raise my eyebrow suspiciously. "Okay, what's going on? You're acting weird."

"What? Nothing. I just thought I told you about this?"

I try to rack my brain, trying to remember when he told me. Probably when I was feeding James. "Oh, okay," I agree anyway. "I remember now. Go on, then."

He runs over and kisses James on the head, then plants a quick kiss on my lips. "I love you both."

"Love you too."

~Time skip~

"Hey, Y/N!"

I turn around to see Phil smiling brightly.

"Hey, Phil! What are you doing here?"

"Came to see my favourite boy. And my second favourite girl."

I chuckle. "Speaking of favourite girls, where's your number one?"

"Right here, bitch!" As if on queue, Tess slides into the kitchen on the tiled floor. James squeals excitedly, dribbling the spoonful of yoghurt I just fed him.

Dan walks in and wraps his arms around me. He buries his face in my neck and attacks it with soft kisses.

"Dan, we have guests," I giggle and squirm as his hair tickles my neck.

"Speaking of our guests, what about we leave our little monster in their care tonight and finally go out? It's been a long time since we've had a date."

I lean back and chuckle at his cheeky smile. "And what did you have planned?"

"Don't know yet. We'll just wing it."

"Well I better go and wash of all this yoghurt and slobber, huh?"

"Can I join you?" Dan smirks.

"Guys, come on. We're still here, you know?" Phil whines as Tess gags and James squeals with laughter at his auntie's funny noises.

"Maybe another time."

~Time skip~

"What about this dress?" Tess holds up the same bright blue, floor length dress I wore for her wedding.

"I wore that at your wedding. You don't think it's a bit much for a little date?"

"Oh, right." She rummages through my closet. "What about this one?" She pulls out another floor-length, flowy black dress. I frown.

"Definitely not. I don't even know why I still have that thing."

"What's wrong with it? It's gorgeous!"

"It's also the same dress I wore when Jase and I got engaged."

Tess let's out a silent 'oh' as she drops it on the floor like it's contaminated. "Well, I will take this and give it away then." Her eyes suddenly widen. "Oh my God, this dress is beautiful!"

She pulls out a F/C, knee length dress with an illusion neckline. It has silver/gold glitter starting around the breasts and slowly fades out into the skirt. It was a gift from my parents and Alex.

"I forgot about this dress. It's perfect!"

"Great! Took you long enough to choose. Now take your sexy little ass into that bathroom and put it on!"

I walk out of the bathroom and give a little twirl.

"Oh shit, girl! If I didn't love my husband more than anything in the world, I'd have to steal you away from Dan! This is why I can't be attracted to just one gender."

"Keep it in your pants, Tess," I laugh as I pick up a pair of socks and throw them at her face.

"Fine, but seriously, you're killing it!"

"Shut up and help me with my hair will you?"

~Time skip~

"Wow." I can't believe what I'm seeing. "Tess, thank you, this looks incredible! Maybe we should just ditch our men and get married if it means I get to look this good all the time."

"Well, you are welcome to my salon any time. It's a bit of a mess and smells like our dog, but it's close by and you know where it is."

"Only if Phil shares his cereal while I'm there." I give my friend a hug. "Oh, I'm going to be so jealous of your future daughter!"

Tess nervously chuckles. "About that..." She pulls back and blushes. "I've got a secret. I haven't told anyone else yet, not even Phil but... I'm pregnant!"

I have to cover my mouth to not scream. I start jogging with excitement. "What?" I squeak. "Oh my God, congratulations!" I pull her back in for another hug and squeeze her tight. "You're having a baby!"

"Yes, I'm having a baby! I'm going to tell Phil when our families come to visit for my birthday this weekend. I'm so nervous and excited!"

"Oh, Tess, I'm so happy for you!"

"What's going on in here?" We turn in the direction of the voice and see Dan poking his head through the doorway. His jaw drops. "Wow... you look... amazing."

"Yeah she does!" Tess grins. "Now go on." She pushes me towards Dan, slapping me on the ass. "Go have fun, kids. And you, mister, I want my best girl back before the sun rises, got it?"

"Yes, ma'am." Dan salutes and fails to hold in a laugh. "Are you ready, my dear?"

I slip my hand into his and intertwine our fingers. "Sure am."

~Time skip~

Dan had somehow found a fancier restaurant than the one I first saw him at. The room was dimly lit and decorated with fairy lights and red roses. After finishing our meal, we walked around the streets of London. Now that I have a child, it has been a while since I've seen London at night. Although it's still busy, there's a lot less people than during the day. There's people just finishing work and on their way home, loud bars full of drunks and many couples just like us either finishing up their date or just beginning.

I let Dan take control of what direction we walk in. It's no surprise to me when we wind up lying down on our special hill in the park looking at the stars.

Dan's POV

As we lay down on the hill, I can't help but stare at her in awe. How could anyone be so beautiful? And how could I be so lucky to have her?

What would I do without her? Even without moments like these, just the two of us lying silently under the stars together, I'd feel empty. She's so amazing. She's everything to me.

She turns her head and her eyes lock with mine, they reflect the shining stars in the sky, and she smiles. "What?"

"You are just... so beautiful. I love you so much. I want to be with you forever." I sit up and pull her up with me. I turn to face her and hold her hands. "Y/N, I want to tell you something."

Your POV

I squeeze his hands and nod, signalling him to go on.

"I never want to lose you again. You, and along with James, are the most important thing in my life. I love you so much and there will never be a day when I won't stop loving or needing you in my life. I lost you twice already and it was hell not having you here everyday to hug you, kiss you, wake up to you cuddled up next to me, to tell you I love you and just to not see you or your smile or hear your voice and your laugh. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." His beautiful eyes begin to shine with tears as he let's go of my hands and reaches in his coat pocket. I gasp and slap my hands over my mouth as he pulls out a velvet box. "Y/F/N, I love you. You've made me so happy since that disastrous night at that fancy restaurant, even happier when I finally had you back in my arms for good. Now, will you make me the happiest man to ever live, and accept this ring and marry me?" He opens the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring with a golden band.

I'm speechless. All that seems to escape me are buckets of tears. I fear that I won't be able to move my head or open my mouth to answer him. Instead, I wrap my hands around his neck and lean in for a long, passionate kiss. It feels just like a first kiss but a kiss that makes sense and feels more natural than breathing. It's forever until we break apart and I finally find my voice.
