Flashback

13 year old Soohyun and him were swinging in the swings at the garden of his home.He was really sad that time.Soohyun wanted to cheer him up somehow but all of efforts were failing.

"Hey,stop sulking.You are making me sad," Soohyun said while looking at the boy sitting at the swing beside her,starring at nowhere.

"I'm trying my best over here,"he replied.

Soohyun pouted."Tell me what will cheer you up.I will do that."

He sighed."The only thing that can cheer me up is ruling Korea.I need to show dad that he is so wrong about me."

Soohyun smiled,"Is that so?"

He nodded."It is my only desire and I would do anything to do that."

"Yeah,you surely would rule all over Korea.I can feel it.My sixth sense is quite good,you know?Besides I will always be with you and help you achieve it."

He now turned at her and finally showed his beautiful smile."Soo-ah,be with me when I rule all over Korea,Okay?"

His smile made her smile grow bigger,"Okay."

"Not only that.You need to be with me all my life."

That day,for the very first time Soohyun felt her heart pounding against her chest.She smiled and nodded anyway.

"That's a promise,right?"He asked.

"Yes,It is."
End of flashback

Soohyun was trying to read a book but this kind of flashbacks won't stop coming.She kept the book down.Today Baekhyun was supposed to come to know her answer.These two days Soohyun has thought a lot and seriously and she still doesn't know what to do.

It took a lot of courage and determination to leave that world.Not everyone can do that .And she did a good job hiding herself as well.She is pretty sure if she didn't save Baekhyun no one would be able to find her.So why would she throw her peaceful life away and go back to that world just like that?

But a part of her misses that world a little bit to.The adrenaline rush,the danger,fun everything.Should she just go and relive that for just a year and come back after that?

She doesn't trust Baekhyun.But if he doesn't do what he's saying he would do or if he's lying about uniting the two gangs and all she can just teach him a lesson and leave.It wouldn't be easy but she's sure she can do it.If she does that everyone would be happy.

That day when Soohyun reached home Baekhyun was already there,waiting for her.She sat down beside him.She looked serious.

"So kitten,you have the answer I wanted?"Baekhyun asked.

"This isn't it,Baekhyun.I at least need to know the whole plan to give you an answer."

Baekhyun rolled his eyes,"Can't you just look at how handsome I am and agree?"

Soohyun sternly said,"No."

"What if I tell you the whole plan and you still don't say yes?That'd be dangerous for us."

Soohyun didn't even show any reaction and said,"Kill me then."

Baekhyun wasn't expecting that answer.

Soohyun continued,"I know how things work in the underworld Baekhyun,I'm not stranger to the tactics.I'm pretty sure you brought a knife with you just to kill me if I don't agree...."

Baekhyun didn't say anything,just listened to her.

"..I need to know everything about this plan if you want me to join.My members are a part of this plan and I want to assure their welfare and safety."

"My members?"Baekhyun asked,amused.

Soohyun rolled her eyes,"You get what I mean."

"You know what?Fine.Listen then.."Baekhyun started to explain the whole plan.

He explained in details but the summary is that Cards is a huge organization that runs all sorts of underground businesses in Busan.It is hard to take them down just by one gang because of the large amount of members they have and the large amount of small mafia groups working under them.No one knows where their leader is.They have to find it out firstly and take him down.It wouldn't be easy.So they have to acquire members of high fighting skills and people who has a lot of connections in Busan.After that they would convince Code:R(The gang Soohyun was a part of) to join them...that's about it.

"Okay..So if we succeed how will you and Code:R divide your territory.How would you handle stuff?Or will you plan on taking down Code:R after you've taken down Cards?Be honest with me."

Baekhyun chuckled,"No,dear.We are fine sharing Korea as long as we can run our business all over it.That is the truth."

Soohyun sighed.She has so much to contemplate now.

After a few minutes of silence Baekhyun asked,"So what do you say kitten?"

Soohyun answered in a low voice.Baekhyun almost didn't hear it,"say it louder,kitten."

Soohyun rolled her eyes,"I said yes."

Baekhyun smiled in victory.

"Don't celebrate too soon.Ive a few conditions."

"What?"

"After this mission I'd be free.You won't ever come to find me."

"Okay,kitten."

"Your gang would give me protection if any other gang finds me."

"Including Code:R?"

Soohyun nodded with her head down.

Baekhyun was amused.By talking to her he understood that Code:R means a lot to her.She is literally coming back to the underworld just for their welfare.So why won't she just let them find her?Anyways,Baekhyun said,"Okay ,kitten."

"You wouldn't call me kitten ever again."

"That I cant do.You are like cute little kitten."

Soohyun looked up at him and glared.

Baekhyun chuckled,"Shall I call you lioness like everyone used to call you then?"

"No,I have a beautiful real name.Try calling me by that.We are not close enough for nick names anyway."

Baekhyun chuckled,"Fine,Soohyun-sshi."

"Much better."Soohyun said,"You can't harm any member of Code:R in anyway.Or you will regret it.I promise that."

The fire in her eyes when she said that almost scared Baekhyun,"Yes,Madam."

"Now the very last one.It is the most important one,"Soohyun suddenly got hesitant.The environment became tensed all of a sudden.

"What is it?"

"You have to promise me this.And you can't ever break this promise,"She looked at him,very seriously.

"What even is that?Why do I feel like you are gonna ask for both of my kidneys?"

"Would you give me your kidneys if I ask for them?"

"Yes..."Baekhyun joked.But when he saw the dead seriousness on Soohyun's face he stopped joking.Is she serious?"..well actually no..wouldn't you be okay if I give you someone else's?"

Baekhyun was waiting for her reaction.She didn't say anything for a few moments before she bursted into laughter. Baekhyun was shocked.It was his first time seeing her laugh genuinely.And it was beautiful.

Baekhyun didn't realize he was starring at her laughing before she stopped and said,"Relax,I'm joking."

Baekhyun cleared his throat.He was embarrassed.He quickly changed the topic,"So what was the promise you were talking about?"

"Oh..it's that...."

"That what?"

Soohyun lowered her head.Her voice got really low.She also seemed a bit sad.She somehow managed to get the words out.

"Promise me that you would never make me stand in front of Park Chanyeol."

Her voice cracked when she said his name.

Baekhyun stares at her silently for sometime before answering.

"I promise you."
