This week passed by really quickly and the day of the party came.The party would start at 10 pm.So everyone wrapped up their work early today and went to get ready for the party.Spades have prepared a lot for tonight.The party is going to be amazing as usual.

Soohyun started to get ready in at 9 pm.She still doesn't want to go to the party but she has to no matter what.And Seulgi asked her to look pretty because a lot of important people are coming to the party.Soohyun didn't want to disappoint Seulgi so she dressed up nicely wearing the dress and shoes Seulgi bought her.

After she was ready she went into the living room to see if Baekhyun is ready.He was ready and he looked out of the world.Its the first time Soohyun has ever seen Baekhyun wearing a suit.Its way different from his usual style.

"Wow!!"Soohyun said looking at Baekhyun who was doing something with his phone. Baekhyun looked up when he heard her voice.He smiled sadly.He has been looking this sad the whole day.And he has been really distant from Soohyun this whole week.He doesn't even talk that much to her anymore.He just answers when Soohyun asks a question.Soohyun found this behavior really weird.

"You look beautiful,"Baekhyun said sadly.

"Baekhyun-ah,why do you sound so sad?Shouldnt I be the one that's sad?"Soohyun asked,"I really hate the idea of going to the same party as my previous gang."

Baekhyun didn't reply,just stared at her.She looks beautiful.The black dress Seulgi brought her hugs her body perfectly.She even curled her hair and put some makeup on.It is Baekhyun's first time seeing her so dressed up.

"Ahh..can you stop looking so sad?You know what?Let's just go.And as promised protect me from Code:R."

Baekhyun didn't reply just got up and opened the door to go to the party.

Baekhyun was silent during the whole ride.The mood in the car was so gloomy.Soohyun decided to lighten the mood with some music.But music also didn't work to cheer Baekhyun up.

By the time they reached,a lot of people already arrived.Code:R didn't arrive yet.The guests that arrived were mainly Spades members and their friends.Everyone dressed up and were trying to look their best.Baekhyun greeted everyone with a smile.He is one of the hosts after all.He has to be polite for once.

While Baekhyun was greeting guests,Soohyun searched for Joonmyun,Yixing,Jongdae Or Seulgi.She soon spotted them greeting and talking to the guests.Everyone looked so good and expensive.Seulgi was normally beautiful but today she looked extraordinary.Soohyun went towards them.

"Woah..Soohyun-ah,you look out of the world,"Yixing said.

Soohyun smiled,"You too,Oppa."

"Really Soohyun,Everyone is staring at you."Jongdae said.

Soohyun just laughed it off even though it was true.After a bit chatting Joonmyun seriously said,"Soohyun-ah,you would go to the private bar thingy on the second floor.Only Spades members will be there and I will make sure no Code:R member enters there."

Soohyun smiled again,"Thank you,Oppa.I will forever be grateful to you."

Soohyun's sincerity touched Joonmyun's heart.He smiled at Soohyun and patted her hair like an older brother.

"You will be fine,"Joonmyun said while smiling.

Baekhyun was so tired of everything.He was feeling like the burden of the whole world fell on his shoulder.He didn't want to do anything.He didn't want to do any of this,greeting,smiling,talking,anything.He didn't want to talk to anyone of Code:R.He is hoping that no one of that gang will show up.That will save him from so much for now.

Baekhyun looked around in search of Soohyun.He soon spotted her talking to some girl and laughing.Baekhyun smiled without knowing.She looks so beautiful tonight. Baekhyun was about to go towards her but suddenly he heard a lot of commotion.He looked around in search of the reason behind the commotion and saw a lot of guests circling around the entry way.

"Code:R are here,"someone shouted.

Baekhyun sighed.How come luck is never in his favor? Baekhyun looked at the place Soohyun was standing earlier and saw her running to the second floor as soon as she heard the news.He sighed again.He will have to go to receive Code:R now.

Guess it's time to fulfill my duty as a member of Spades.

Code:R arrived with a lot of members.Most of them were the underlings of course and the leading members also came.Lee Taeyong,Lucas Wong,Oh Sehun,Kim Minseok,Do Kyungsoo,everyone came.

And most importantly the actual leader of Code:R,Park Chanyeol came which came as a shock to a lot of people because he generally never goes to any parties except the one's he throws himself.

It's the first time Baekhyun has seen Park Chanyeol face to face.Park Chanyeol surely is a head turner.Tall,handsome,well dressed..he had every quality that anyone desires.But he gave of a intimidating and scary aura.

After introducing each other Spades members tried to talk to Code:R members a bit.Seulgi was nowhere to be found.Mark was happy because he knew Lucas because of Johnny.Lucas is Johnny's friend and comes to visit Johnny pretty often.Lucas and Mark also played a lot of games together.Mark has also seen Taeyong once when he came to visit Johnny once but Taeyong didn't say a single thing the whole time.He isn't saying anything today as well.

While chatting Chanyeol also didn't say a single thing but after a few moments Chanyeol looked straight at Baekhyun and said,"I thought you had something important to tell me?"

Baekhyun smiled,"Yes,I would like to talk to you in private.Would you mind following me?"

"Let's go,"Chanyeol said while getting up.

Baekhyun looked at the others from both gangs,"Why don't you talk and show them around while Chanyeol-sshi and I talk?"

Joonmyun nodded.

Baekhyun brought Chanyeol to a V.V.I.P sitting area on the second floor.Chanyeol followed him and sat on the couch,"So what's the important thing?Im really curious."

Baekhyun poured Chanyeol a fancy glass of champagne.Chanyeol excepted it.

Baekhyun smiled,"Well,I can tell by the fact that you actually came to our party.We are honored."

Chanyeol chuckled but got serious in a second,"I would really appreciate if you cut the crap and get straight to the point."

That sudden change surprised Baekhyun a bit.But he stayed calm on the outside,"We have a plan to take down Cards.We need your manpower in this mission.After this mission is successful we would be able to have power all over Korea."

Chanyeol raised his eyebrows.He seemed interested.

Baekhyun slowly told Chanyeol about the whole plan,what the found out about Cards and even showed him the paper Jongin wrote all the information on.Chanyeol analyzed the paper while listening to Baekhyun.

After explaining the whole plan Baekhyun said,"If it is successful we will be able to run our business all over Korea.There will be no boundaries.I'm sure you'd want that to."

Chanyeol listened to everything Baekhyun had to say attentively while sipping his champagne.After Baekhyun was done Chanyeol didn't say anything for awhile but then chuckled out of nowhere.

Baekhyun raised his eyebrows.

Chanyeol got back to being serious and said,"The plan sounds amazing and all,but there's a small problem,Baekhyun-sshi."

"What?"

Chanyeol's face got dark,"I don't trust anyone of you...do you remember when your Seulgi used our Taeyong just to get information out of him to burn two of our factories just because our business was running better than you?"

Baekhyun didn't reply.He honestly didn't know how Seulgi got that information but they used it anyway.He just knew that Seulgi was in a relationship with a member of Code:R and they broke up soon after the burning incident.

"I wanted to destroy each and everyone of you but my beloved stopped me...now to think that you're asking for us to be united..is just really funny."

"That was in the past.We really have no ulterior motive this time.We need your help.And it will help us both."

"But what's the guarantee that you would try to attack us after that then?"

"Trust us...Besides..."

"Besides?"

"Besides...someone promised to kill me if I ever harm you or your gang."Baekhyun smiled sadly.

Chanyeol chuckled,"I don't trust you,Baekhyun-sshi.I refuse.There's gonna be no deal."

"Reconsider Chanyeol-sshi.It is gonna be profitable for both of us."

Chanyeol smiled,"I already told you my decision,Baekhyun-sshi.We are not gonna be a part of this mission.And it is my final decision."

Baekhyun took a deep breath to calm himself.Looks like there is no other way now.He really didn't want to do this.But he has no other option now.

You're Byun Baekhyun from Spades.You're not someone weak.Just do it.

Those words worked like magic.
Baekhyun chuckled darkly,"You leave me with no other option then."

Chanyeol raised his brows,curiously.

"I'm going to have to convince you another way.You won't be able to say no after that."

Chanyeol chuckled,"Let's see then."

"I can bet you that you will say yes to me within the next five minutes."

Chanyeol was really amused,"Okay."

Baekhyun got his phone out and dialed Soohyun's number.Before she could even say hello Baekhyun asked,"Where are you?"while looking straight at Chanyeol.

"I'm at the private bar on the second floor,why?"Soohyun replied.

"Come at the VVIP room no 1 right now.Its am emergency.Right now."Baekhyun said.He hung up before Soohyun could say okay.

Chanyeol smiled,"I'm expecting a lot."

Baekhyun smiled,"You're mind will be blown."

Chanyeol smiled.

Soohyun came to the room within a minute or so. Baekhyun's voice seemed like something bad happened.So she didn't even knock and bursted into the room,"Baekhyun-ah....is everything okay?"

She turned her head to where the sofas were while still holding the knob of the door.There she saw Baekhyun sitting on a couch.He seemed fine.But when she saw who was sitting across him,her soul left her body.Her mind went blank and she completely froze.Across Baekhyun was sitting the man she had so much history with,the man she grew up with,had so many memories with and the man she vowed to never see again.Park Chanyeol.He also froze seeing her as well.

Baekhyun smirked and got up from her seat to hold her wrist and pull her in.He made her stand right infront of Chanyeol.

"So Chanyeol-sshi,you like your surprise?"Baekhyun asked.

Chanyeol stood up and was about to grab Soohyun's hand but before he could do that Baekhyun pulled Soohyun behind him.

"You shouldn't be so desperate,Chanyeol-sshi.You will only get her after we succeed in our mission."Baekhyun smiled at Chanyeol.

Chanyeol was fuming with anger at that point.He was gritting his teeth,"Let me talk to her."

Baekhyun shook his head,"Chanyeol-sshi,you said your beloved stopped you from destroying us.I wonder if your beloved will get you help us as well?"

"Let me talk to her,Byun Baekhyun."Chanyeol said again.

"Fine...Chanyeolsshi.You'll get to talk to her for 30 seconds as you are insisting this much."Baekhyun said and dragged Soohyun to the front again.She managed to calm down a bit.She decided she would think about everything later and face what's going on right now.Right now..Baekhyun is betraying her.She has to face this truth.Getting too nervous or scared won't get her anywhere.

She looked at Baekhyun,"I should've seen this coming."She wasn't angry at him,just disappointed.

Baekhyun smirked,"Well..kitten aren't promises meant to be broken?"

Soohyun took a deep breath before looking at Chanyeol.

Please stay calm.Don't cry,don't break down,don't run to him.Stay strong.You chose this.

Chanyeol was staring at her.He managed to calm himself down a bit,"Explain yourself,dear."

Soohyun sighed,"I'm not bound to answer to you anymore,Park Chanyeol."

Chanyeol smiled,"Let's see for how long you're not bound to answer me then."

Chanyeol then looked straight at Baekhyun and smiled,"Let's work together then.Let's take down Cards and rule over Korea together.....we will soon call you for a meeting to discuss all the rules,terms and plans."

"So it's a deal then,"Baekhyun said while offering his hand to Chanyeol.Chanyeol shook his hand and then looked straight at Soohyun.Soohyun looked away quickly.

"It's a deal."Chanyeol said.

That's how the deal was made and the promises and trusts were broken.
