Alastors pov

I collapsed against the sofa with a loud sigh. What a long and painful day! Well at least it's over and Lucifer was even kind enough to pay me on my recovery days so I don't have to bother working for a while.

"Hellllo" Rosie cheerful walked through the door, fruit basket in hand "husk told me all about what happened and I decided to bring you a little gift to cheer you up.

"You're a doll Rosie" I smiled at her "a lot of good husk was" I grumbled to myself.

"Now alastor husk had a husband to return to, he doesn't have time to look after you. Besides I heard you were well taken care of" she smiled knowingly.

"Yes Lucifer was kind enough to patch me up without asking too many questions"

"Lucifer eh? You two are getting awfully chummy" she smirked teasingly.

I felt my cheeks heat up "I don't like what you're insinuating-"

"Oh come off it alastor! It's so clear you love this boy" she shook her head.

"I'm not in love!" I insisted.

"Think about all you've done for him. You haven't gone through that kind of trouble for anyone else. Not even me"

I mulled over her words for a moment. I've been trying to avoid the reality of the situation but I doubt I can hide it forever.

Rosie patted my shoulder "it's ok to be in love alastor but it's not ok to hide from it. Go get your man" with that she left, leaving me alone with my swirling thoughts.
