Alastors pov

I blinked a couple of times as I came back to consciousness. That was a close one. That sheriff nearly killed me. At least I got away with-

"Well it's about time you woke up" I spun around to see Lucifer's face. Those fuckers. They didn't-

"Hello Lucifer" I said casually.

"Don't you hi Lucifer me" he stood up angrily "I demand answers!"

I groaned internally. I should have seen this coming "what would you like to know"

"How'd you get shot?"

"Can't say"

"Did you get caught up in something dangerous?"

"Classified"

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration "can you at least tell me if you're safe"

"I'm fine Lucifer" I squeezed his hand reassuringly "my apologies for making you worry"

"Don't worry. I'm just glad you're ok" he smiled back.

"Hello dick heads!" Our tender moment was cut short by the voice of the sheriff.

"Adam watch your language. They're children here" a woman scolded him.

"Oh fuc- I mean fudge, sorry Sera"

"Lucifer what is going on here" I turned to him, trying to hide my concern.

"Oh boy this is awkward" he chuckled nervously "you see I actually planned a playdate with vaggie and Charlies cousin Emily. This includes Adam and Emily's mother Sera. Adam and sera actually know each other seeing as she's the head of the justice minister"

"You have got to be kidding me" I thought to myself.

"I know it's a lot to ask but could you help out with the girls? Please?" He looked at me pleadingly. I should refuse. If Adam recognised me it'll be over but when he looked at me like that I couldn't find the strength to refuse.

"I'd be happy to"

*Time skip*

"So this is the babysitter you hired" the dark haired sera studied me as I played with the girls.

"Yeah isn't he something" Lucifer smiled proudly.

"He certainly has a way with the girls" she smiled softly.

"I'm going to make you a demon" Charlie jumped on my back with a horned  headband, making me choke back a scream.

"No he's an angel!" Vaggie and Emily pulled at my arms with cardboard wings on their backs. These girls are killing me!

"Hey come to think of it I think I recognise you from somewhere" Adam stared at me suspiciously. Oh crap "didn't you host some kind of radio show"

I breathed a sigh of relief "oh? Are you a fan?"

"Fuck no! You had way too much jazz for my liking. Like seriously did you not know any other music genres? I guess that explains why you had to get a job as a babysitter!" He laughed boisterously. I simply smiled as I imagined the many ways I wanted to kill this man.

"Oh I think the turkey's finished" I quickly excused myself. As soon as I was alone I leaned against the counter, trying to catch my breath. I barely have the strength to stand but it's ok. I just have to keep it up for another hour.

"Alright who's ready for turkey-"

"Alastor I'm so happy to see you" I was cut off by Lucifer tackle hugging me.

"Lucifer what-"

"You're wound has reopened" he whispered "you need to change your suit"

"Lucifer you're wearing a white suit" my eyebrow twitched in frustration. Lucifer let out a soft yelp. This Moran!

"Will you both excuse me, I need to step out"

"And so do I" Lucifer laughed nervously "sera, Adam feel free to start dinner without us"

"Fine but I'm not being some damn babysitter while you two have a quickie" adam grumbled.

"Don't be so vulgar Adam" sera sighed.

I carried Lucifer to the kitchen where we go change. I've never been so embarrassed in my life!
