"So let me see if I have this right," said Maddie, furrowing her eyebrows, "When you were 14 you messed with the portal, after we specifically told you not to, and are now half ghost."

"That's pretty much the gist of it,"

Maddie looks at Jack and lets out a long sigh. 

"How did we not notice this," Jack question, "literally all of our ghost tech was going off around you."

"And we just assumed that it was broken" Maddie laughed.

"Wait," Jack said, suddenly a bit more serious, "does this mean that most of our inventions DO actually work?"

"Yeah, almost all of them." I tell him and he looks elated.

"We use them a lot while we're ghost hunting," commented Sam offhandedly, "They've saved our asses more than once."

"Samantha, language!"cried Tucker, covering Dani's ears to which she rolled her eyes, "We have little ears present!

Jazz rolled her eyes at the two's antics, "Anyway, the point is, you're inventions work and help us greatly at what we do."

Jack and Maddie looked ecstatic, like they were ready to run down to the basement at the very moment and start going through all of their older tech. Then they glanced at each other and seemed to have a silent conversation before turning back to me. 

"Danny-o, we really are sorry about what we said and did." Jack said solemnly.

"We're going to do everything we can to help you now that we can," added Maddie, "starting with getting some legal guardianship papers for your daughter who we didn't know about. Of course I'm going to assume you're going to tell me everything at a later time.

I rubbed the back of my neck and cast a quick glance at Dani, who was sitting on the windowsill watching something outside.

"Yeah that's a really long story that I'd rather tell you later when she's not in the room. Guardianship papers though, yeah that'd be g-"

"Dad! Hate to interrupt but we just might still have a large problem left to deal with." Interrupted Dani, pointing to something outside.

We all congregated to the window she was pointing out of and I inwardly cursed when I saw who she was talking about. I don't even know how I forgot that I needed to deal with GIW.

Whoa! Hey guys! Long time no see. I've been pretty busy lately. We had a show the week we got back from Christmas break and then only had about 20 days until Peter Pan. Theatre is exhausting.

And yes I'm aware that the chapter is super short but hey I couldn't sleep so I wrote this when I could have decided to watch Supernatural so....

I'm done promising certain days for updates because they're usually bs and I either update a lot really quickly or nothing for months so it'll come when it comes.

We're doing Cats as our last show of the year and just started practice this week and it's going to be great so if you live in Louisiana (or anywhere really) and want to come see it you can message me.
