Nine

This chapter isn't going to be super long, but it does reveal something that will change the course of the story.

And I am excited.;)

Also, a couple is going to end up together.

And it's not who you expect.

Here you guys go!

Enjoy.^_^

Mitch knocked on the door, waiting patiently for someone to answer. Sara opened it right away, smiling sadly as she hugged her friend tightly. Mitch frowned, wondering why Sara seemed so sad.

Is everything okay?

"Oh, Mitchy." Sara murmured, tears in her eyes as she released Mitch. Mitch had a confused look on his face, not understanding why she was so sad. "Come inside. We have something to tell you."

'We?' Mitch signed, following Sara inside. There in the living room was Avi and Jeremy, tears running down the second boy's cheeks as the other put his hand on his knee. 'What's going on?'

"Mitch, I think you should sit down for this." Avi spoke up softly, offering a spot next to him. Mitch nodded, sitting down cautiously, his eyes wide with confusion. "What we will tell will affect a huge part in your life. What we say does not mean you should change how you feel, but it's important."

Mitch jumped when Jeremy sobbed loudly, looking over at Sara to get an answer. Sara sat down, closing her eyes before she spoke.

I can't let my relationship with Mitch get ruined. Please let him believe me.

"Mitch, I saw Scott and Kirstie kissing each other earlier today. They were kissing in the Biology room. I'm so sorry."

Mitch dropped his jaw, shaking his head as he looked over at Jeremy. Jeremy nodded, unable to speak as another sob made its way out of his throat. Mitch felt tears well up in his eyes, looking away when Sara put her hand on his knee. When he felt the gentle hand make contact with his cheek, he finally let the tears escape. He wrapped his arms around Sara's waist, his body shaking from all the sobs he was unable to release. Sara teared up, looking over at Avi with heartbreak in her eyes.

Nobody deserved this.

"Sara, do you have ice cream?" Avi asked softly, letting Jeremy lay down. The couple held back when Jeremy fell on the couch, his long body resembling a fish.

"Yeah, I do. There are two medium sized ones."

Avi nodded, walking into the kitchen as Mitch's phone beeped. Mitch looked at it, shaking his head when more tears fell down his cheeks. Sara looked over his shoulder to see Scott's name on top, scoffing loudly as she took Mitch's phone.

'Sara!' Mitch signed frantically, shaking his head as Sara began to text. Sara looked over at him, sighing before looking at him sadly.

"Mitchy, Scott broke your heart. The least you can do is end it. You guys might be the couple that everyone wants to end up together despite what happened, but cheating should be the end. If you stay with him, he's just going to keep cheating with Kirstie. I don't want you to live that life. Live the life that you deserve. Not the life that people want you to live."

Mitch nodded, wiping his eyes as Avi came back in the living room. Avi gave the heartbroken males ice cream, both of them giving Avi their thanks in return. Sara smiled at them sadly, letting Mitch look at the message Scott sent and the message she was about to send.

My Scotty Buckets: Mitchy, I love you with all of my heart. You deserve so much and I feel like I am able to do so. We might be in high school and love might seem too extreme, but I know our love isn't. Just stay with me.❤

His Kissy Boy: (unsent) Scott, I know what you've done. I'm heartbroken. You ruined my trust. I thought that you were the one, but I thought wrong. You seem happier with Kirstie and as much as I am hurt because of you, you deserve to have your happiness. Scott, I'm sorry, but we're done. Goodbye, love.

"Is that a Mitch thing to say?" Sara asked softly, laughing as Mitch nodded with a scoop of ice cream in his mouth. "I'm sending it, is that okay?"

Mitch nodded, letting one last tear escape his eye. Maybe, just maybe, there was someone better for than Scott. Maybe, just maybe.

Little did he know, his love was closer than he thought.

~~~
"Kevin, you need to talk. You haven't said one word since you came here."
Kevin stared at his therapist, doing nothing as he sat in his chair. Dr. Newbury sighed, shaking her head as she stood up. These meetings seemed useless, but she was going to get in this boy's mind either way.
"Kevin, you can't just sit and say nothing. You obviously have a lot going on. We're worried about you."
Kevin rolled his eyes, standing up to leave without saying yet another word. Besides, he was tired and he just wanted to leave. Dr. Newbury sighed, shaking her head as she looked through her files.
He has to speak. He has to.
Kevin just walked down to his room, letting his mind wander off to somewhere else. He just wanted to leave this place and never look back. He just wanted...
Alyssa.
Tears sprung in his eyes as he thought of her, wiping his eyes as he made his way to his room. His parents were kind enough to give him a single room, but he still hated it. He wanted to go back home and avenge Alyssa's death.
Who hurt her to the point where she wanted to-
"Kevin? You have a visitor."
Kevin perked up, walking back to the door and opened the door once he got there. Right in front of him was the owner of the building, his glasses almost falling off his small nose.
"Someone is here to meet you. Someone called a...Rachel Williamson? She seems like she knows you very well."
Kevin nodded, nodding his head in thanks when the man moved. He turned the corner only to back off a few steps when he recognized the woman. He dropped his jaw, glaring as the woman walked up to him. Rachel smiled, offering her hand as she looked at the taller person.
"Hi, Kevin. It's Rachel, A.K.A Ashlynn. You remember me, right?" The woman asked Kevin mischeviously, the older boy becoming even mkre enraged. "What, what's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
"You better stay away from my brother. I know you are his aunt. That's why I didn't like you being there." Kevin hissed, shaking his head at the woman in front of him. Rachel chuckled, scoffing as she clapped a bit.
"Wow, for someone who is wanting to go to Yale, you aren't that bright." Rachel mocked, laughing as Kevin shook his head. "I mean, you are the reason why your girlfriend isn't here anymore. You broke her."
Kevin felt tears well up in his eyes, shaking his head as he refused to believe that. He didn't kill Alyssa.
Right?
"Well, I best be going now, murderer." Rachel murmured, laughing as Kevin sobbed quietly. She looked at him one last time, shaking her head before speaking again. "You're such a disappointment, Kevin. Just you wait. In no time, your worth along with your friends will be tested. Just you wait."
With that being said, Rachel walked off as Kevin looked at her retreating back. He sighed to himself, walking back to his room as he thought about her words.
What did she mean? What's going to happen to us? Hopefully nothing too bad.
If only Kevin knew what would happen.
A/N: Sorry for the shortness! I have been super busy this summer, lol. Also, for my chapter were I ranted about not getting votes, I formally apologize. I just wanted votes because I worked hard on that chapter. I just wanted some attention, especially because of how long and horrible this summer has been. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
