...um...hi.

I deeply apologize for the lack of updates for this.

Life is hard at the moment, especially since I started my second year of college.

And if you don't know, my career as a writer will end as soon as I am done with this story, Scomichelle, and another story that I am still planning.;)

Anyway, here you go.

This story will be updated regularly...hopefully.

Don't forget to vote and comment.

If I get 50+ comments, I will write a sneak peek of the next chapter.^-^

HERE WE GO!

Mitch woke up, his body aching from the uncomfortable position he slept in. He stretched a bit, his bones cracking with his every move. He stood up, yawning as he made his way downstairs. He was about to sign good morning to his family when he saw the cop at the front door. Curline looked worried while Oluwole looked angry. Mitch walked over, his eyebrow raised as Curline looked at him. Tears were in her eyes, her hands going on Mitch's shoulders. Mitch was about to ask what was going on when Curline spoke up.

"Mitch, do you know where Scott and Kirstie are?" Curline asked, her petite body shaking. Mitch shook his head, tearing up himself when Curline sobbed quietly. "Mitch, Scott and Kirstie ran away. Nobody knows where they went."

Mitch dropped his jaw, looking over at the officer. He wanted answers, clear and concise answers, right now. As if the officer read Mitch's mind, he began to speak, his gruff voice striking fear in Mitch. He sounds serious.

Mitch hates serious.

"Were you the last person to speak to Scott and or Kirstie?" The officer asked, sighing when Mitch nodded his head. "Kid, you need to come with me. I need to ask you questions at the station. You're not in trouble. We just have to know if you did something to make them run away of if you know why they ran away."

"He's fifteen! He doesn't need to do this!" Oluwole yelled, making Curline cry some more. The officer barely budged, nodding slightly as Oluwole began to rant. "Scott and Kirstie ran away on their accord and my son should not be dragged into the middle! It's not his fault that they ran away! It's their fault! They're cheaters and nothing more!"

"Sir, it's a regulation for us to bring in people who saw or talked to the people who saw them la-"

"Then ask my oldest son! He is the one you should talk to! Mitch is too young for this!"

Kevin walked downstairs, an eyebrow raised as he watched his dad argue with an officer. His mom was crying and Mitch just stood there, tears starting to gather in his eyes as Kevin walked over. Kevin tapped Mitch's shoulder, frowning slightly at the tears in his eyes.

"What happened?" Kevin asked softly, confused at what was going on. Mitch let his shoulders fall, his hands shaking as he signed.

'Scott and Kirstie ran away last night and I'm interrogated because of it.'

Kevin shook his head, walking into the middle of the officer and his father. Curline was about to take Kevin away from the middle of the fight, but Kevin stayed put as he glared at the officer, shaking his head.

"Sorry, but nobody is going down to the station. Scott and Kirstie probably ran because they couldn't keep it in their pants and they don't want to face the consequences. They don't deserve to be found. Please leave our property and may God bless you."

The officer reluctantly nodded, tipping his hat as his way to say goodbye and walked off as Kevin closed the door behind him. Curline sighed, shaking her head as she looked up at Kevin.

"Kevin, you know better. You don't do that to anyone, especially when it's a police officer." She scolded softly, looking over at Mitch now. "And Mitch, just because you and Scott are no more, you should still respect him. You're being selfish."

Curline walked off while Kevin and Mitch shared a look, shocked by their mom's words. Curline never spoke like that, especially to her children. Oluwole sighed, looking disappointed as he followed his wife. The brothers went upstairs, Mitch's worrisome mind gaining yet another worrisome thought.

Am I really selfish?

~~~
Scott sighed, wanting nothing more than to go home. He knows that he just can't run away from problems, yet here he is in a small town in New Mexico. He and Kirstie stopped their for the night, their guilt and sudden decision to run away making them tired. Scott looked over at Kirstie, wanting more than to wake her up and take her home.
Mitch never might forgive him, but the heartbroken boy deserved better.
Better than Scott.
"Kirstie." Scott whispered, almost laughing at the truck horn- like snore Kirstie let out. He frowned again, shaking her carefully. "Kirst, let's go home. I'm tired, I'm lonely, and I am an idiot. We're both idiots."
Kirstie had enough of Scott shaking her, pushing him harshly as she glared at him tiredly. Scott knew Kirstie is grumpy in the mornings, but she was never this grumpy. She was irate, apoplectic. Her gentle eyes , a dark brown mixed with a light green or blue contacts that she loved, were replaced with a venomous glare. Scott had to look away because he was aghast at the new look in his friend's look. He was about to stand up, nearly falling back when Kirstie pulled him back.
"Scott Richard Hoying, don't you dare. Jeremy and Mitch need to get over the fact that we cheated. We cheated on them twice and I would rather run away and never look back than to stay back and love the guy i cheated on." Kirstie practically spat out, her soft voice that once sounded so melodic now sounded grave, monotone. "If you were to stay, you would only break Mitch more.  Go back if you want to. Just know that if you were to go back, you'll be selfish. You'll find another guy and you will be happy with him while Mitch looks at you from a distance, wondering what he did wrong. Stay or leave. Just know that both choices will hurt Mitch, but one will be better for him in the long run."
"I guess you're right." Scott murmured sadly, looking at his lap. Kirstie nodded, following her friend's actions. She too wanted to go home, but she couldn't. She couldn't admit that she was lying, no matter how much she wanted to. "I love him so much. Why was such an idiot?"
"I ask that question about myself everyday." Kirstie murmured, looking up again. She bit her lip, trying her best not to cry out of anguish as she held Scott's hand. "Scott, there's something I need to you about the baby."
"Yeah?" Scott asked mournfully, his sky blue eyes now looking like a stormy sky thanks the grey undertones in his eyes. "What do you need to tell me?"
Just tell him. He deserves to know. Get out of this situation and go home.
"The baby is..."Kirstie began, the evil eyes flashing in her mind like a way-too-expensive disposable camera from a drug store. She can't him now, she changed her mind quickly as a weak smiled appeared on her face," a boy. The baby is a boy."
Scott looked back at her, his eyes wide with rapture as he looked down at the small stomach. He nearly squealed, hugging the small girl tightly. He couldn't believe this. A boy, his own little boy. He is going to be a dad.
A dad
"I already love him." Scott murmured, smiling with the utmost delight as he looked up at KIrstie. There was a look in her eyes, one that he couldn't quite place his finger on. "KIrstie, I'm going to be a daddy and you're going to be a mommy. I'm so exuberant."
"I am too." Kirstie whispered, biting down on her lip before speaking once more. "Hey, Scotty. We should go now. The trip is to Texas is going to filled with traffic if we don't leave right now."
Scott nodded, slipping on his jeans from yesterday. Kirstie stood slowly, frowning to herself before she followed Scott to the car. she wanted to go home too, so bad. As if someone read her mind, a police officer was behind the door. Scott jumped, about to explain himself when the police officer began to speak.
"Are you Scott Hoying and Kirstin Maldonado?" The police officer asked, her voice soft yet gruff, her stature short yet intimidating. Scott and Kirstie nodded, knowing that they had to go home. "You two need to go home, now. You will be placed on house arrest once you two go home. Your parents are worried."
Scott and Kirstie nodded, knowing they had no choice but to go home. They followed the police officer, knowing one thing.
They are grounded forever and they will have to face their exes when they come home."
"Maybe them running away will make the world a better place?" Sara suggested, laughing when Mitch threw a french fry at her. "I'm just telling the truth. They could cheat with each other somewhere else. They hurt you guys."
"I know, but I still love Kirstie and I will always worry about her." Jeremy admitted, feeling like he was about to be struck for saying something like that. Avi frowned softly, putting a gentle hand on Jeremy's back. "I could never hate her. Maybe asking her to be my girlfriend will be go-"
"NO!" Sara yelled, slamming her hands on the restaurant table. Everyone at the table jumped, their eyes widening at Sara's outburst. "She cheated on you, Jeremy! Forgive her if you want to, but do not go back to her! If she did it once, she will probably do it again! Jeremy, you deserve so much and Kirstie isn't in that 'so much'. There's someone out there who loves you more than anything and they will never hurt you like Kirstie did."
Mitch nearly chocked on his milkshake, his face red at Sara's comment. Sara knew of Mitch's crush on Jeremy and she thought it was the cutest thing ever. From that day on, she shipped the two boys like her life depended on it. Those boys deserve whatever they want, especially each other.
"Besides, you didn't seem to be happy with Kirstie these past few months anyway. It was time for you guys to break up anyway." Avi whispered, hoping that his comment didn't offend Jeremy. Jeremy nodded, knowing his friend was true. "Someone is out there and they'll treat you better, than she can."
'Did you make a Shawn Mendes reference?' Mitch asked, raising his perfectly arched eyebrow. Avi blushed, shaking his head as Sara smiled at him softly.
"Just admit you like him, babe. His music is actually really good." Sara admitted, laughing when Avi hid his face from his friends. "Anyway, yeah. You deserve better, Kirstie is not worth it, and Shawn Mendes is a great singer. You and Mitch should da-"
Sara realized what she was saying. covering her mouth as her eyes widened. Jeremy and Mitch looked over at each other, not knowing how to react. Avi sipped from his milkshake, now interested in the scene in front of him. It was Mitch who spoke first, his hands shaking as he wrote on his board.
'Jeremy, I can expla-'
It was Jeremy who kissed first.
A/N: Hmmm, I wonder what that means.;) I actually really like this chapter, lol. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
