Do you wanna build a fort
!!!!
PLEASE READ NOTE AT THE END
!!!!!
"Hey, should we build a fort?"
Tony looks up from his tablet and stares at Peter, who's looking back at him with his eyebrows reaching his hairline.
"No"
Peter pouts.
"But it's just the two of us!"
"That's because it's 10 in the morning, the rest of the team's on a mission and Pepper's working. I'm working too" Tony goes back to his tablet.
May specified that Peter is grounded until his broken ankle heals perfectly. And since he broke it about two days ago, not even his enhanced healing can handle it in such short period of time. May's working at the hospital, and Tony's on babysitting duties.
"Please, Mr. Stark. I'm bored... And my ankle doesn't even hurt that much anymore!"
Peter proves that by standing up on his injured foot, but it only makes him wince a little, which of course doesn't go unnoticed by Tony.
"Don't put your weight on it!"
"Sorry" Peter falls on the couch on his back, he puts his ankle on a pillow and sighs exaggeratedly "I'm just so bored"
Tony rolls his eyes.
"If we do build a fort, will you shut up for the rest of the day?" Tony's not being mean. He loves the kid, he's just keeping up his act as he usually does around everyone but Pepper —and that's only sometimes—.
Peter's eyes light up as he excitedly says: "I promise I will!"
Now it's Tony's turn to sigh profoundly.
"Fine. Whatever. Let's build that fort"
And so they do. They spend around 30 minutes building the fort because Peter is determined to make it perfect.
"You know we won't leave it up, don't you? This will be gone tomorrow" Tony tries to clarify.
"Sure" Peter says, his voice getting higher like it does when he lies.
Tony looks at him between his eyelashes, frowning, and is about to say something but Peter uses his webs to pull the tip of the blanket fort up, making it look like, well, a fort. A huge fort. A way too big for just the two of them fort.
"Let's get the snacks and get in!" Peter shouts excitedly, jumping on one foot and holding the TV remote close to his chest.
Once he gets inside, Tony's actually surprised. The fort is big enough to cover most of the living room, including the TV. Since all the blankets they used were white or creamed colors, the daylight from outside the apartment allowed a lot of clarity inside the fort itself. It looks like a cozy dream and Tony is feeling a bit sleepy now.
"Mr. Stark, isn't it great?! We should do this every week"
"Maybe we should"
Tony sits in front of the TV, a bunch of unhealthy snacks in between his and Peter's legs waiting to be eaten in under 10 minutes.
"What should we watch now, huh?" Peter asks.
"Not Star Wars again, please" Tony begs "An old man can only take so much"
Peter rolls his eyes.
"Disney?"
"Sure, buddy. Whatever you like"
Tony leans back against the pillows and actually eats a few Doritos before drifting off. Teenage spider following not so long after.
Imagine the Team's surprise when they come back from their mission just after lunch.
"Dude, sick fort!" Clint says as he immediately takes off his shoes and enters the alternate dimension that the inside of the fort is.
"What is this!" Thor questions, or exclaims, whatever.
"This, my friend, is the best fort I've seen in my 100 years of living" Bucky says, hitting Steve's bicep "We could barely fit the two of us in the ones we made when we were kids" he says as he starts taking off his combat boots.
Steve rolls his eyes, but starts undoing his laces as well.
"Do you feel like joining?" Bruce asks Natasha, who's looking at the fort questioningly.
"Yeah, sure. But I'm not taking part in disarming this"

This is actually pretty lame and short. I've been struggling a bit with life and my creativity isn't flowing, specially when writing so many characters at once.
WHICH IS why it would actually help me a HELL OF A LOT if each one of you commented what two or three characters you'd like to see more of in the following chapters. That might help me write a bit easier and faster.
Love, Lu.
