Chapter 2:
Axel
Faris

~•~
•Axel's POV•

With the mention of our names, me and Quinn got up and made our way to where Faris sat. Though it wasn't obvious, I thanked every god for this pure luck. Finally, we stood in front of Faris _____, who seemed to be glaring at us.

"Hi, I'm Axel, this is my boyfriend Quinn." I held out a hand to the boy.

A hint of contemplation danced across his face before turning back to a simple unreadable glare.

"Faris, as you can guess I'm not to keen on talking to you two." Faris hissed.

"Touché, I suppose." I smiled.

He hummed in response, before standing up and walking to the teacher's desk. Returning, he then packed up his things and dragged us away to a nice wooden door. Over the door held a sign that said, 'Faris ___ ____, Axel ___ ____, Quinn ___ ___' with our names stacked on each other. Next to the door, however, was a scanner. Faris put his hand to it and the door opened. We followed him in quietly.

The place seemed nice, a kitchen, bar, and dining room table to the left, living room to the right, and a hallway straight ahead. The kitchen seemed like any other, just with high tech provided by modern technology. The counters were made of ____, smooth and gleaming with the prospect of being clean, same with the cabinets that hung above everything. The cabinets were a nice _____, and each of them had double doors. The bar stood a bit away from the kitchen, and was a simple line of counter with chairs tucked neatly under it. The dining room table brought a peaceful feeling with the ___ cloth placed over it. A small chandelier hung beautifully over the middle of the table, letting off the perfect family table. The chairs were the same wood as the table, ____, but had cushions the same color as the cloth.

The living room had a ___, ___ person couch with a footrest somehow wide enough for the entire thing. Next to it was a simple love chair with a design matching the couch. In front of the furniture was a ___ tv stand, along with a tv wide enough for everyone to see. A ___ carpet was placed under it all, seemingly as fluffy as a bunny.

From the doorway, you could only see two doors in the hallway up ahead. There wasn't much special about it, it was the same ___ wood as the rest of the walls and floors.

"Our professors will send one of us videos of the classes so we can still study and learn. I'm going to look around a bit more, so see ya in a bit." Faris threw over his shoulder as he walked away.

Seeing as there wasn't much to do, me and Quinn decided to cuddle on the couch and watch tv.

•Faris' POV•

After about half an hour I found the baby room. Sadly, it looked like whoever was preparing it was either an idiot or blind. Toys scattered across the room, baby bottles placed wherever, and clothes shoved messily into half open drawers. At least the crib was decent.

I turned, about to walk away, until a baby's crying made me whip around and try to calm it. I picked up the robotic baby and cradled it, thinking of what could be wrong. It wasn't hungry nor needed changed, the paper said that the baby would have just been fed and changed.

I let out a short breath as the baby seemed to calm down before going back to sleep.

"So you were just tired, little bastard." I mumbled.

I placed it back into the crib before I began to clean up the mess. I made sure to organize in ways only I could understand where everything is, old habits never die, right? By the time I finished it was noon, so I walked out and went to get a quick snack.

As I walked out towards the kitchen, a mouth watering aroma caught my attention. I used whatever self control I had to not drool as I continued towards the kitchen. Upon entering, I walked to a cabinet and opened it, grabbing hold of a granola bar.

I went to walk out, when a voice along with a hand on my shoulder stopped me.

"Are you actually going to eat that for lunch?" Quinn asked, pointing towards the granola bar.

"Yea, why? Not like I haven't done it before." I replied, cocking my head to the side in confusion.

"Oh hell no, you are not gonna starve yourself with us here." Quinn scoffed.

"You hold no authority over me, I can do as I please." I hissed.

"Then we'll make you eat." Axel chimed in.

I huffed, walking out to the living room. I sat on the love chair, pulling my scarf up to cover just above my nose. I wasn't angry that they were trying, I was more confused as to why they bothered. I know people care, but we barely know each other.

I closed my eyes, maybe they'll just forget about me.

"...is"

"Fa..s!"

"FARIS!"

I jolted forward, quick to stand on my feet in case of danger. My eyes scanned each and every object, until I noticed two figures standing to my left. They seemed confused, but also a bit worried.

"Oh. What do you two want?" I asked casually, hoping that they simply ignored what happened.

Sadly, they decided to push it.

"Before that, what made you so scared? If it was the sudden noise than I apologize." Axel frowned.

"Yea, it probably was the sudden noise, it's fine though.." I replied, 'More so the prospect of someone screaming..' I thought.

"Alrighty then, now come on and eat. I put the granola bar away when we realized you were asleep, by the way." Quinn cut in.

I gave a short glare before giving in and following them to the dining room table. I sat down, making sure to stay as far from the two as possible. This wouldn't last long, no need to make friends.

Glancing at the clock, I realized the robotic demon known as a baby would need to be fed soon. 'I'll just have to assume these two idiots have no idea how to care for a baby' I thought.

A small chuckle found it's way out of my mouth as I turned my attention to my food.

"What're you chuckling about?" Axel asked nonchalantly.

I felt my body tense, before forcing it to relax in order to reply.

"Nothing, do either of you know how to care for a baby?" I inquired, looking up at them.

"I kinda do, since I have a little sister." Quinn said.

"I have no experience, why do you ask?" Axel smiled.

"The paper we were given said that the robotic baby would have already been changed and fed. It's past noon, so I can go do it myself." I huffed.

They both seemed against it, but nodded anyways.

A while later I got up, placing my plate in the sink, and headed to the baby room.
