"Girl lets go I don't have all day for you to try and be cute." Aliyah laughed as she walk over to her get her purse, "Momma trying not even in my vocabulary." She check her phone and it was on 89%. Ella shook her head as she head to the car.

Aliyah family was visiting to say goodbye. Her mom two sister and brother was here, and five of her cousins. She loved her family they meant everything to her especially her mom and her favorite cousin, Tasha. "Girrrrrl you is now a grown ass woman."

Aliyah smiled, "Girl yes but I don't feel any different." Tasha pulled her in close, "Once you see all them niggas out there then you tell me if you feel different or not." Aliyah laugh at her cousin silliness. She gets her and was like a big sister to her.

"Aight Liyah next time I see you, you better have my money." Her uncle Damion said making everyone laugh. "What money D." "That money I gave you six months ago." Liyah smack her lips then wave him off laughing. "Ok I'll try to come up with something."

"Little girl I thought "try" wasn't in your vocabulary." Ella said in the door way of there two bedroom house with her hands on her hips. "Sometimes it is sometimes it aint." Aliyah said hugging her other cousins. "Well come on everyone we really have to go. Now move it move it." Ella shooed everyone out the door.

She went got in the car waiting on Liyah. "Well I'll see you later baby boo." Tasha pouted with her lips poked out. Liyah had to admit she was feeling some type of way leaving her cousin and going off with her life. "Yea bye snuggoms." Tasha smack her lips, "I don told yo ass about calling me that."

Aliyah bust out to laughing and watch her cousin walk away. Aliyah then look around the yard and back at the house. Her mom bought this house a year after her father was murdered. It was nice and small but the yard was a little to big for it. It was a nice and welcoming two story house.

On the bottom floor was the kitchen, living room, bathroom, dining room, and washing room. On the top was their bedrooms along with their own personal bathroom, a studio, a work out room, and a work office for Ella. She felt tears forming and tried to hold it. She knew she wasn't gonna be far away from home, but its the fact that she is leaving and is now starting her life as a young adult.

She stood in front of the door and posed for the another pic. Time she finish Ella was acting crazy as usual, "If yo ass don't-" "Ok Ok here I come." Liyah yelled running to the car. She got in and quickly put her seat belt on. She look over at her mom and smiled. Her mother was extremely beautiful inside and out and she was glad to have her. "I'm gonna miss you mom." Ella grip her thigh as she pulled out the drive way heading to the airport. "I'm gonna miss you too baby."

They made it to the airport just in time for their flight. They grab their bags and took off. They walk through the doors and out to their plane. Liyah and Ella went to go sit in the first class section. "The best and the best only." Liyah said to her self. "You got that right." Ella said going for the window seat.

Liyah made sure she had everything put up and grab her daddy's pillow. She kept it so she can remember him more. She laid her head back on it and was soon fast asleep.

40 minutes later

"Liyah baby we are here." Ella whispered to her shaking her. Liyah eyes slowly open and she was soon up. They grab their things and got off the plane. They walk through the airport and out the doors waiting for a taxi.

They tried everything to get a taxi, but it would fail terribly when people them back. Liyah was now getting irritated, "This sh- stuff don't make no sense." Ella nodded with an frustrated look plastered on her face. "Aye yall can ride with me." They turned to see this tall light skinned man holding his door open.

Ella look at Liyah and shook her head, "No we're good." The man stood there looking like he was in deep thought. He then threw his suitcase on the in and walk over to them. He held his hand out for Liyah suitcase. She didn't know what to do so she just stared back him.

He started laughing and look over to Ella. He then stop and look at how beautiful she was. He cleared his throat, "I can see that you are both in need for a ride and I don't mind." Ella grab Liyah hand and pulled her close, "No I said we're good."

Liyah rolled her eyes, "Mom come on we really need to get NYU." "Oh I'm heading that way anyway please just let me take you. I wouldn't feel too comfortable leaving two beautiful ladies standing here looking for a ride they wont be getting any time soon." Liyah turn to her mom and mouth please.

Ella sighed and look back at the man who gave her a reassuring look, "I guess but no funny business unless you wanna be six feet under." She said pointing at him. He look at her smirking. Liyah shook her head at her mom, but she knew her mom wasn't playing.

He grab all the bags and walk over to his car as Ella open the trunk. "What is y'all have name." "My name is Ella and that's my daughter Aliyah." He close the trunk and shook their hands, "The names Richard."

He walk over and open the passenger door for Ella, but ironically she declined his offer and open the back door for her and Liyah. He sighed and closed the door and went over to the driver side.

He soon pulled off onto the busy road. While driving he couldn't help but stare at Ella. She just didn't know how beautiful she was. "So how does it feel to know you will be attending college."

Liyah hunch her shoulders while she text Tasha. "Excuse her she stays on the phone all the time I don't know where she get that from."

Liyah smack her lips as she continue texting, "Mom you do it too." Richard chuckled at them as they go back and fourth.

"Hush child," Liyah did as told because she was tired of arguing too. "Sorry but kids these days are a headache." "At least she's a headache mine is a pain in the ass."

They both shared a laugh, "So you have one too." He sighed and shook his head, "Two. And they drive me crazy." Ella felt sad a little she remembered when Frank said he wanted at least three kids, but at least he got to have one.

"You OK," he question with a concern look on his face. She forced a smile and nodded.

Soon they was turning into a parking lot. Liyah eyes lit up because she was finally here. They all climb out the car. Richard pop the trunk, and they got everything that was theirs.

"Thanks for the ride." Ella said with a smile. He smiled back at her, "Yes of course and here's my card if you will need anymore rides." Ella laugh.

She took his card and walk over to Liyah. "So where your building at." Liyah shrug and walk up some and saw some people standing around. "Hold on momma I'll go ask." Ella was skeptical but agreed to it.

Liyah jogged over to one of the girls that was standing around. "Hey do you guys now where the girls dorms at." The girl nodded, "Yea." She began giving her the directions and Liyah wanted to scream because they will be walking for fifteen minutes. She thank her and walk back over to her mom.

"So which way do we go." "You take that right, two lefts, go down the walkway,and take that second right, take another left and it should be all the way down." Ella look at her like she spoke a foreign language. She look back at the card Richard gave her, "Well I guess I'll call Richard."

Liyah began to laugh, "Mom your not slick you was hoping you could call him." "No I don't I just don't wanna walk." Liyah grab her hand and they started walking. "Well we gonna have to walk on this one plus I think this is a good idea." Ella look at her crazy, "How." "We could see everything while we walk. Ella shook her head.

10 minutes later

"Mom when we get there make sure we go eat afterwards." Liyah spoke breathing hard. They both was tired and the sun wasn't making it no better. They both was slouching and was walking like they could die at any given moment. "Y'all need me to help."

Liyah look over at this boy who looked very easy on the eyes. She was staring so hard that she didn't hear anything he said. She was smiling and blushing like a fool until Ella slap the back of her neck. "OW!" "That boy was speaking to you."

Liyah look back at him and he was laughing a little. "Sorry um yes we do." He walk over to them and grab two bags from Liyah and one from Ella. "So you knew here." He said showing his sexy smile. She started blushing again, "Yea, how about you." "Second year." She nodded and they walk over to the dorms in no time. She had to admit he help them a little because if he didn't they would still be walking.

They walk in and passed some girls and spoke to them. Soon they was going up to the third floor. They walk down the hall and saw her room number, 324. "Well thanks for the help um." "Tyrell." "Tyrell thanks." He nodded and walk off. Ella was about to open the door but it then swung open.

Out came this girls who was light skinned, slim, with  curly dark hair. "I knew I heard some one out here, Hi I'm Cassandra." Liyah smiled and shook her hand, "My name is Aliyah and this is my mom Ella." Cassandra help them with their bags as they walk in.

"Well I'm sorry, but my parents just left they should be back anyway." Liyah nodded as she look around.

They had two bedrooms and one bathroom, a nice sized kitchen and living room. Liyah kinda like how everything was. The colors in there was maroon, white, and black. She walk over to the room on the left, "Oh that's my room Aliyah." "Oh sorry."  

She walk over to the room on the right and open the door. She had a nice big bed that sat in the middle of the room. Her dresser sat behind it and a coffee table was in front of it. A little two the right was a couch and to the left was a desk. The rest was space which she kinda like so she can dance. She walk to the back behind the bed and there was a medium size closet.

"I know this isn't the best dorm but a girl cant complain." She chuckle. "I really like this." She peek out the closet and saw her mother sitting on the bed looking around. "Mom me too, then I got a cool roommate I can tell we could be friends." "For real I was hoping you felt that way."

Liyah walk all the way out the closet and saw Cassandra leaning against the door. "Oh I didn't know you was in here." Cassandra shrug and walk all the way in. "Do your room look like mine." "Yea a little bit, but I'm moving some stuff around so I can feel more comfortable." Dee nodded.

Ella phone ring and she answered. "Yea we made it, everything look so beautiful here. They even got a nice ass room here and this not even the top dorm." Ell was going on and on about everything as she walk out the door.

Cassandra pointed to the door, "Your mom is cool." "Yea she is." Liyah plop down on her bed unpacking her cloths. "So when your mom leaves you wanna go have lunch." "Oh sorry, but me and my mom was gonna have lunch together you can come if you want too." "Of course and at diner you can go eat with me and my parents." Liyah nodded.

"Well I got to go finish getting settled  in." "KK" As she walk out the room there was a knock on the door. She open it and instantly fell in love. "Heeeyyy." She sang to him. He chuckled a little, "Yeah uh could you tell Aliyah that Tyrell is at the door." She then pouted and told him ok.

She knock on the door and Aliyah told her to come in. "Ok how the hell you just got here and already have the famous quarterback at your door." Aliyah look at her puzzled, "And who might that be." "Tyrell Jenkins."

Aliyah thought for a moment until she remember him helping her. "Oh yea he help us up here. What you mean he is at the door though." She said walking passed her. "See for your self." She walk back to the door and sure enough he was standing there smiling at her, "Aye I didn't mean to come over here and bother you-" "No your good I wasn't doing anything." 

"Oh well good cause I wanted to get that number from you." She gave him her number and stood there and made chit chat for awhile until her mom came back saying she was ready to go eat. "Well bye Tyrell." "Aight mama." She blush and close the door.

Ella look at the time on her phone and back at her daughter, "Almost an hour and you got you one already." Liyah laugh, "I know you aint talking momma, and we was only in New York for 15 minutes and you had a man giving us a ride." Ella waved her off, "Child you act like I was standing there with my skirt pulled up."

They both laugh along with Cassandra. Liyah went to go freshen up a little and they was soon out. She shot Tasha a text saying she would talk to her later tonight.
