HAECHAN''S POINT OF VIEW

Jasmine was not happy with us at all about agreeing to have coffee with her father. I get it, he said some awful things that shouldn't be taken lightly and we will definitely address those. With the situation we're in we want all the support we can get right now. If talking changes nothing then fuck him!

The boys and I sip our drinks awkwardly as does he. You can tell he has no idea where to start.

Mr.Lee: How's school?

Oh lord.

Me: Fine fine. How's work?
Mr.Lee: It's uh, you know? Work.
Me: Right.

I've never been in such a more awkward position in my life.

Changkyun: So why're we here?

Mr.Lee: When my daughter told me she was pregnant I was shocked but when she revealed there were three different possible dads I was even more surprised.
Changkyun: So surprised you told her to get an abortion.

He sighs.

Mr.Lee: As a parent you don't always say the right things at certain moments.
Jungkook: But as a parent you need to, your child needs you to do that.
Mr.Lee: You'll understand when you're older.
Jungkook: Or in six months from now.
Mr.Lee: Right.

Awkward.

Me: It's not ideal but this is what it is until we find out whose the father. You know the history between Jas and I. I love her very much so I'll do whatever until it's time.

Changkyun nods.

Changkyun: She gets on my nerves but I've grown to tolerate her.
Jungkook: Ditto.

Oh they're totally downplaying their feelings!

Mr.Lee: After getting my ass handed to me by my wife, mother in law, sister, other daughter, and co-worker I can see where I messed up.

He needed a whole-ass jury to see that?

Mr.Lee: I want to be in my daughters and grandchild's life but I know I'll have to apologize to Jasmine. She definitely deserves one but I'm not sure how she'll feel about seeing me.
Me: Oh she doesn't want to see you.
Changkyun: At all.
Jungkook: She's mad at us since we're here. She hasn't responded to my texts all morning or afternoon.
Changkyun: She might hate you.

Well damn.

Mr.Lee: I wouldn't be surprised. Growing up I pushed my views to heavy on her and Maya. I wanted them to grow up with successful careers, get married, have kids, live a happy life y'know? But as old as I am I should know life never goes that smoothly.
Me: If I were you I'd just take pride in the fact you and your wife raised two strong women. Jasmine maybe a knucklehead but that girl is resilient.

The boys nod.

Me: I mean she probably has an entire team of secret service men on her head but..-
Mr.Lee: What!
Changkyun: My mom isn't taking this pregnancy things too well.
Mr.Lee: And you?
Jungkook: My mom has started being supportive but my dad is still acting like you.

Mr.Lee groans.

JASMINE'S POINT OF VIEW

I needed some air this morning so a nice little lap around the river it was! Now I'm just sitting at a bench enjoying the cool breeze. My situation doesn't escape me but often times I do forget I'm going to be a mother.

I'll birth a little human being and they'll be my responsibility for life. They'll grow into their own person and will either be a blessing to this world a damn menace.

Hopefully it's both.

The more my stomach rounds out the more all of this seems real.

"Ayo!"

I turn around to see Maya walking towards me. She still has on her salon apron so she definitely just came from work. She takes a seat next to me before smiling.

Maya: You okay?
Me: Just doing some thinking.
Maya: Careful, don't hurt yourself.
Me: Shut up.

We both laugh.

Me: The boys are with dad right now.
Maya: Are you really mad at them?
Me: No. I'm just mad at dad still. Growing up we always bickered about his principles but what he said to me was just mean.
Maya: I agree and however long you take to forgive him is up to you.

My eyes begin to water.

Me: I want to forgive him now though. Like I just want both my parents to be apart of this journey. You only get pregnant once!
Maya: Not..-
Me: You only go through your first pregnancy once! And believe you me I have no desire to do it again.

She laughs.

Maya: It's a milestone for sure. It's like your parents choosing not to come to your wedding.
Me: Exactly! Like what if dad refused to walk you down the aisle when you marry Mingi?
Maya: Who said I'm marrying Mingi?
Me: Trust me bitch, you two are getting married. No one else is going to deal with you or him.

She digs through her purse handing me a tissue.

Maya: I'm sure after talking to them dad will be contacting you soon with an apology. Especially if Changkyun got to talking.
Me: He is a little menacing.
Maya: That boy likes you.

I frown.

Me: When has he ever gave that impression?
Maya: Through acts of service. Being there when he didn't have to be and going above expectations.
Me: That's just because I'm his baby's mother.
Maya: We don't know that though. Let's be honest Jas most boys would've said for you to call them when the baby is here. They would never put in effort for a kid they don't know is theirs.

Maya: Hell all of them.
Me: So I should date all of them, polygamy? Run my own harem?

She rolls her eyes playfully.

Maya: No but pay more attention, you'll see.

idk i didn't necessarily have in my head that she would date one of them. it was mainly JUST a 'whose the baby father' plot and that's all.
