Chapter 6

Taehyung was beginning to like living in Yoongi's home mostly because he could see Jimin anytime he wanted. Working with him, staring at him was all fine but he wanted so much more.

Yoongi was going out of town the following day so the restaurant was closed. This was the perfect opportunity for Taehyung to finally visit Jimin's home so he dressed decently and set off. Meanwhile, Jimin was having a panic attack. His mom was going to be out the entire afternoon. She was visiting a customer who was celebrating their birthday so she left Jimin home alone.

Jimin was stricken with anxiety so he tried to think up any safe activities they could do that wouldn't involve much skin contact. The farther away he is from Jimin, the better for him. So he listed them all out. Before he was done setting the house in order, a soft knock was heard on the door.

Jimin breathed heavily in other to calm his nerves. He was quite positive about who it was and when he opened the door, he saw he was correct. Taehyung stood in front of him wearing a red sweater and a pair of blue ripped jeans. He had sometimes seen that red sweater on Yoongi but it looked so good on Taehyung.

The latter ruffled his hair with his fingers and grinned

"Hi!" He muttered. He looked so damn attractive standing there but Jimin didn't want to reveal on his face just how much his presence was affecting him. He turned around quickly.

"Come in," He said.

There was an amused grin on Taehyung's face as he stepped inside the house closing the door shut behind him. Jimin kept a distance as he watched him and awkwardness settling between them.

"So...this is my house. Feel free to look around"

He didn't mean it but his words were filled with nervousness. Taehyung just nodded his head and started to look around. It was a modest home, a very small house that wasn't even a quarter of his mansion but it was homely. There were pictures at every corner of the house and Taehyung couldn't help but take a peek at them.

Jimin had always been cute right from the time he was a baby and Taehyung found himself chuckling at every single picture. There was a particular frame that caught his whole attention. It was situated on one of the shelves and was a picture of Jimin in blue shorts smiling at the camera as a water balloon was trapped in between his arms. He was in the sea at a place resembling a beach and a man was with him, stretching his hands out to him in a protective manner, a big smile on his face.

Taehyung felt a lot of warmth just by gazing at the image and turned to Jimin who still stood like a statue watching him.

"Who is this man? Your Dad?" Taehyung asked and he immediately noticed how Jimin's reactions changed. He looked downcast and swallowed hard

"Yeah, that's my Dad!"

Taehyung smiled and nodded his head. "You two look so happy together"

"It's a shame, right? Too bad it's never going to happen anymore"

Taehyung didn't speak. He slowly walked towards Jimin and this time, the latter didn't create any distance.

"He's dead!" Jimin murmured. Taehyung wasn't surprised. He somehow suspected it the instant he saw Jimin's reaction.

"I'm sorry..."

Jimin smiled painfully. "It's alright. I have to get used to it someday. I can't be too sensitive anytime my father is mentioned"

"There's nothing wrong with being sensitive Jimin" Taehyung's voice was soft and Jimin found himself staring into his dark eyes.

"It's not easy to get over losing a loved one so don't be ashamed of it"

Jimin continued to stare at Taehyung. Feeling his disposition weakening, he shifted away from him again and coughed nervously.

"Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind" He whispered. Taehyung just chuckled

"So, what do you want to do? I have some video games in my room. We could..."

He stopped himself. He forgot that he wasn't supposed to be in an enclosed space with Taehyung. The other looked puzzled as Jimin suddenly smiled.

"Forget it. We can play them right here. Wait for me" He said quickly and rushed off to his room. Some moments later, he returned with a game console and game packs. Then he showed them to Taehyung.

The other knew what he was doing. He was desperately trying to avoid getting closer to him. On second thought, he didn't know what Jimin was so afraid of? This was normal. They were both attracted to each other no matter how much Jimin tried to deny it. It was obvious in the way that he looked at him. He fancied him and Taehyung was not hiding the fact that he fancied him as well. That he wanted them to be much closer and that he didn't want to be his friend. He was making his intentions so plain. What was Jimin so scared of? Did he want to play pretend friends so badly despite knowing that Taehyung was coming on to him so strong? Well, Taehyung wasn't good at pretending. He had set his sight on Jimin and he was going to get him no matter what it takes. Even if he had to be devious.

He nodded and surveyed the video games casually.

"I choose The legends! Let's play" He said.

"I'm so going to beat you Park Jimin" he added arrogantly.

Jimin scoffed. "I don't think that will be possible Kim Taehyung"

Taehyung smirked. "Let's make this more interesting"

Jimin listened attentively and Taehyung continued.

"If I beat you in three games, you'll go on three dates with me"

Jimin's eyes widened. He stared at Taehyung in disbelief witnessing the cunning smile on his face.

"No! No way!"

"Aren't you confident Jimin? Let's see what you can do!"

"What if I win?"

"Then I'll do whatever ever you want!"

Jimin sighed. "You'll stop following me everywhere?"

Taehyung shrugged. "Okay fine. I'll stop being a pest"

A satisfied grin spread out on Jimin's face.

"I'll take your word for it," He said and before long, the game wars began. They played for a maximum of three hours and within that time, Jimin was utterly defeated thrice.

"No! No! This is not happening! You cheated" Jimin cried but Taehyung relaxed smiling calmly.

"You know what this means Jimin," He said and without warning, grabbed Jimin by the back of his neck and pulled him closer. Their faces were mere inches apart and Jimin could feel the other's breath on his lips. Taehyung's eyes were fixed on his lips causing Jimin to gulp. His head was spinning at their proximity and he wanted to sink into the couch but the feeling of Taehyung's hands on his skin, the way his eyes were fixed on his lips, all these were doing something to Jimin's senses.

"We'll be going on three dates Jiminah... You won't bail out on me will you"

Taehyung looked like he was going to kiss him at any second, getting closer, his behind his neck getting harder and the most surprising thing was Jimin didn't have the will to fight him off. He wanted the kiss just as much as Taehyung did so he closed his eyes and waited but instead of a kiss, he heard the sound of the front door getting unlocked.

"Oh shit!" He cursed and pushed Taehyung off him. The latter nearly doubled over on the ground.

"Sorry..." Jimin apologized.

"What is it?" Taehyung asked looking confused.

"My mom! She's here!

"And so?"

But Jimin didn't have time to explain anything to him. In a few seconds, his mother would enter inside and see him alone in the house with some random guy the one thing she had always warned him against. She would be livid.

"You have to leave!" He cried and pushed a clueless Taehyung towards the window. He was thankful his mother hadn't come in yet hoping that whatever was keeping her would stall her for a little more second. He forced Taehyung out of the window and smiled.

"Bye!"

He was about to turn when Taehyung called him back.

"Wait! I'll call you tonight. Don't ignore me"

Jimin simply nodded and shut the window. Immediately, his mother entered and looked at him suspiciously.

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing!" Jimin replied, hoping his face did not betray his nervousness.

Yeon Seo looked around. "Did you have a friend over? You hardly play games and you ordered pizza"

Jimin laughed nervously. "No, I was by myself..."

Seeing his mother's suspicious look, Jimin continued.

"Well, you see there are times when a person would want to do something he doesn't normally do...This was one of those times"

"I see..." Yeon Seo whispered. "Well then, clean up. I'll be heading to bed on time. I feel so tired"

"It's okay Mom"

"Wake me later so we can have lunch together"

She dismissed him with a wave of her hand and trudged to her bedroom. Jimin immediately rushed to the window to check if Taehyung had left. The compound was empty so he sighed in relief. He cleaned up the living room and headed for his room still thinking about Taehyung's visit.

It was evening. He was about to go wake his mother up for dinner when he passed by his window. His eyes nearly fell off due to the scene before him. Taehyung's window was wide open and he was changing. It seemed he had just gotten out of the shower. His hair was wet and water dripped down his chest. It was one of the sexiest things he had ever seen. His mouth watered as he imagined himself running his hands over that glossy chest. How would they feel under his touch? Firm? Soft? Somewhere in the middle?

But then, he caught Taehyung watching him, a devilish smirk playing across his lips as he wiped his hair with a towel. Jimin almost fainted. His face went red and he quickly closed the curtain, his heart hammering in his chest. He didn't want to think about it but the moment at the living room and just a few seconds ago replayed in his senses over and over again as he rushed out of his room. He reminded himself not to fall for Kim Taehyung but this time, he couldn't deny that his resolve was getting weaker. Would a day come when he finally gives in to Taehyung's advances? He silently hoped in his heart that such a day would never come.
