Jimin finally moved into a new city with his mother to begin a new life. After his father died due to a long battle with cancer, the family decided to relocate in other to start afresh.
Yeon Seo breathed a huge sigh of relief as she looked in front of the building. "We're finally here" She said and looked towards Jimin. Her son adjusted his glasses, gazing at the building and smiled. "It's okay Mom"
Yeon Seo hugged her son. "We are going to adjust. It might take a while but we'll adjust"
Jimin didn't speak. It had been a difficult decision for him. Leaving the home he had grown up in, the friends he had made, it hadn't been easy at all but he knew they needed to leave, to forget all the painful memories.
Yeon Seo took a deep breath as she forced a smile on her face. "Let's go!" She whispered. Together, mother and son walked into the house. It was going to take a while settling in so they decided to take it step by step. Jimin entered his new room and sighed. He was comfortable with it. It was simple just the way he liked it. Immediately, he took out his posesssions from his bags and started to arrange them before pausing slightly after seeing a picture hidden in the middle of his books. It was a picture he took with his friends a long time ago. Small tears crept up his eyes but he tried hard to fight it off. There was no need to feel sorry for himself. Surely, he could still meet them again. Their separation was only temporary. Another item also took his attention. The brochure for Seoul University. He would be attending as a scholarship transfer student. It was one of the reasons why he and his mother decided to move. His mom was too devastated to stay alone after his father's death. He couldn't bear to leave her by herself so as soon as he got the scholarship, he suggested that they move. It was also going to benefit her as well. After sometime, his mother agreed, also moving her Cathering business to Seoul.
As he stared at the brochure, he wondered how his life would be like, how he was going to cope in a new environment. He wondered about a lot of things but he decided to remain positive. He was going to achieve his dream of becoming an architect. He was going to make a lot of money and ensure he and his mother would live a good life.
After settling in that day, Jimin prepared to report himself to school first thing in the morning. Yeon Seo stared proudly at her son as they stood in front of the house that morning.
"I'm so proud of you son. Remember it's your first day in a new city. You have to be careful"
Then she lowered her voice. "Especially around boys. You know what I'm talking about"
Jimin smiled "Of course I do Mom. I'll be careful. I've been doing well this time. Nothing will ever divert me from my cause mom!" He said with a determined smile unaware that he was going to meet someone who was going to turn his whole life and his entire future upside down.
***********
Kim Taehyung groaned with anger when he heard that familiar boring tone in his head.
"Young master, it's time to get up!"
Taehyung trashed around on his pillow"Ugh! I don't want to hear you speak"
But the voice went on. "Young master, it's time to wake up. Breakfast is ready. Do take your bath and get ready for school"
It was a mechanical voice that sounded as if a robot was talking.
"Young master!"
He couldn't take it anymore and finally opened his eyes to glare at the person who had been endlessly assaulting his ears.
The housekeeper smiled. She was a middle aged woman with slightly greying hair and fine wrinkles lining her eyes.
"Good that you're awake!"
She walked over to the curtains and drew it apart. Sunlight streamed into the room from the open windows. The rays hit Taehyung's eyes immediately causing him to wince. If he hadn't known Mrs Gong for long, he would have thought she had a dislike for him. Well, who really knows what another is thinking.
"When I take over as master, I'm going to fire you" He said, pouting his lips like a spoiled child which he was.
Mrs Gong "Until then but for now, I'm still here. You know what that means!"
Taehyung groaned for ten seconds into his pillow until he finally sat up straight with a blank look on his face.
"Are you done venting young master"
Taehyung barely nodded his head.
"Now up you go!"
He whined before getting up and doing as the woman had instructed. He took his bath, ate breakfast in bed and got dressed before climbing down the stairs. Normally, he would find his parents to say his greetings to them but today, he wasn't in the mood. They never gave him the time of the day anyway because they were too busy with their own lives to notice him anyway.
As if she noticed, Mrs Gong spoke. "Young master, aren't you going to see your parents?"
Taehyung shrugged. "Not today..."
"That's disrespectful..."
Taehyung bit his lips. "I guess but I just don't want to see them now. Can you please understand?"
He looked at her with pleading eyes. Mrs Gong stared at him before nodding her head.
"I get you young master"
Taehyung sighed. Things were getting pretty bad between his parents. Actually it was a long time coming. They had been having matrimonial problems both claiming the other was cheating and not investing enough in the marriage. They argued almost every single night till the point it became unbearable but not once did they mention divorce until last night. It was hard on Taehyung growing up in such an environment. Taehyung could endure everything as long as his parents were still going to be together but after hearing their harsh words yesterday night, he felt completely empty and hopeless.
Everyone would think he had everything. He was the only child to the wealthy Kim Family and heir to Kim industries, an organization worth more than thirty billion won. He was born into the 3% of society and was said to be living the life but that wasn't true. Yes he was living the life but the responsibility that came with being the heir was tremendous. He'd rather travel the world taking pictures, meeting new people rather than sit in an office discussing business deals with men his father's age. He just couldn't contemplate it but that was the life he was born into. If he didn't take the mantle, he'd risk loosing it all so he couldn't afford a scandal no matter what but all that would come crashing down when he meets a certain doe eyed petite boy for the first time.
Taehyung finally headed to the car garage, got into his BMW which happened to be the latest version and zoomed off to the university campus but just as he was about to park in front of the faculty of architecture, he found to his horror that the brake wasn't functioning. It hadn't shown any faulty signs before now so what was happening?
"What the fuck! Why is this happening now?" He yelled and strained his eyes to see if there was any safe place he could bump into but instead, he saw a boy just in the middle of the road right in front of his car, head bent as he looked into something in his hand.
"Hey! Get out of the way!" He yelled out to the boy but he didn't seem to hear him. Taehyung panicked.
"Hey! Can't you hear me?" He pressed the car horn. That got the boy's attention and he finally looked up. His eyes widened with surprise and somehow, it felt like time stood still as he stared at the surprised boy standing there with utter fear. His mouth was slightly agape as wind swept past his dark hair but the moment passed immediately. That was definitely the wrong time to be admiring someone. The boy jumped to the other side as Taehyung's car crashed straight to a tree. The booth dented and smoke started to come out from it.
Jimin couldn't believe what just happened. He could have died. He could have died. He couldn't stop thinking about it as he sat on the ground and gazed at the car which had rammed into that tree. Eyes stared at him as he looked at the car and wondered why the owner hadn't come out yet. Anxious, he slowly got up and found that his legs actually hurt a lot from the adrenaline pumping jump he just made but he didn't care about it at the moment as he slowly trudged towards the car.
He stopped when he saw a figure bent over the steering wheel, blood spilling from the side of his face.
"Oh my God" Jimin muttered. Suddenly, the figure turned, curly black hair almost closing one eye. Even in that situation, the other's intense gaze gave Jimin goosebumps all over his body.
"Are you okay?" He whispered.
Jimin was surprised to find that was the first thing to come out of his mouth.
"What? I should be the one asking you that" Jimin said.
The door was pushed open and Jimin watched with shock as the other climbed out from the car staring at him with blood flowing from his head. The sight of that blood disturbed Jimin so much.
"Don't move okay. You could have internal bleeding"
"Please don't tell anyone else... please" The other guy muttered. His leg trembled and he fell straight into Jimin who grabbed him as quickly as he could and held him tight so he wouldn't land on the ground. As he stood there, Jimin nearly cried. This wasn't what he had expected on his first day of school. This wasn't what he had expected at all.
Merry Christmas. This is the first chapter. How was it?
