~part 3~
Inside the Plane
Naomi walked up to the large plane that would take her to Japan. Inside, there were a lot of windows, very nice couches, and there was even a bed in the back. Walking towards the back of the plane, there was a yellow bag. She touched the bag, and it moved. Her senses were really acting up and her wings sprouted from her back and a scorpion tail coiled up ready to strike. The bag moved. She was about to strike it when she saw a face. "If you wanted me to introduce myself," a scruffy voice said from the bag, "then we should have done it back in Japan than here." "Now Shota", Nezu said, "that isn't very nice of you to say that. Besides, she is a new student for UA, so I suggested you come along with me. You couldn't have taken my offer." Sigh, thank god it wasn't a villain. Naomi shook off her wings again and her tail disappeared, embarrassed she took one seat on the plane and looked out the window. "I have to get my quirk under control," Naomi whispered to herself, "if I can't do that, then why am I here?" "You're here because we saw potential," the man said, "we thought you would be more clear in your improvement of your quirk, if you went to Japan. Since the other schools that you have been, were child's play." The man was out of the bag (no pun intended). He looked like he was in his mid-twenties, he had jet black hair that was long but not short and he wore all black with a long white scarf. He reached out his hand, "Forgive me if I seem unprofessional," he said, "my name is Shota Aizawa. You might know me as Eraser head." She shook his hand. She responded shyly, "It's nice to meet you, sir," Naomi said. "Well," Nezu said, "since everyone agrees now. I suggest we get comfortable, it's going to be a few hours." Aizawa went back into his yellow sleeping bag and Nezu snuggled up on his chair. Naomi shoved her belongings into one cabinet above her seat and sat down in her chair. The engine started up and a few minutes later, the plane was in the air over the state of Ohio. She mostly looked out the window the whole time, but eventually fell asleep with her head next to the window.
They had to make a pit stop somewhere in California to fill up the plane with gas, and then they were back in the air to Japan. Naomi was more comfortable with the principal and Mr. Aizawa. The plane was in the air again, Naomi almost fell asleep until she saw something in the corner of her eye. It looked like another plane with bright red wings; she looked even harder, and it wasn't a plane. It was a person! Naomi closed the curtains because she couldn't believe what she just saw. She got up from her chair to stretch out her legs, and then an alarm went off. "Oh goodie," Nezu said, "your mentor is here, Naomi." My mentor?
The principal jumped out of his seat and pushed the red button next to the door. "I would recommend that you put your seatbelt on," Nezu said, "and also put the oxygen mask on as well." When hearing this, Naomi did as he said; she put on her seatbelt and also attached the oxygen mask to her face. She was ready for action. She gave Nezu a thumbs up, ready to brace, and the damn rat pushed the button. The door opened and Naomi heard something unhinge; it was her belt that supposed to keep her in her seat. Naomi got sucked into the air pocket outside and flew out of the plane. Screaming for her life, she saw the mysterious figure from earlier. Red Wings Of course, how could she forget, she can fly. Naomi's back sprouted two black, celestial wings that helped her gain balance in mid-air. The figure stood back and watched her gain control of a situation that came out of nowhere. Her wings were glittering in the daylight and her skin glistened with the stars of the night sky. She flew all the way to the plane, with Nezu, Mr. Aizawa and the mysterious man waiting inside. Her wings vanished as soon as she contacted the man with wings. "Naomi," Nezu said, "this is Hawks, you will be under his intern for a few months." Now that she got a better look at him, she saw the unique attributes that she heard about him on the news.
He was about the same height as her; he had blonde hair, the most beautiful golden eyes, golden sunglasses, stubble on his chin and some of the weirdest eyeliner she has ever seen. She could sense something about him that made her feel more at ease whenever she made eye contact with him. "Even though you have your studies and training you have to do," Aizawa said, "you will also have the chance of working with some top heroes in the world." Well, at least that thought kept her more open to the ideas that she would work with. The man approached her and surveyed her. Moving his head back and forth from her face to the principal every few seconds. "Well," the man said, "they don't call you Starlight for nothing, damn girl, you rival the stars with your quirk." I can't tell if this guy is being serious or just straight up stupid. Mr. Aizawa stepped forward, "if there are questions that you have concerning your classes, don't be afraid to ask, okay Naomi?" She nodded her head, agreeing on what he said. "I'm actually looking forward to this mentorship thing that I'm supposed to do with you," Hawks said, "we should be over Japan right about now, if I'm correct." Naomi walked over to a window and looked down below at the tiny city that she had heard about years ago. There was a lot of pink, I guess the lady was right about the cherry blossoms. There were titanic skyscrapers stretching towards the clouds, as if she could reach her hand out, and vast landscapes that looked like old paintings in a museum. "We should land shortly soon," the pilot said over the speaker, "are you sure that you don't want to land at the school?" "I actually have a better idea than that," Nezu said, "how about you do land and we'll fly out of the plane!" Naomi and Aizawa's face went blank "I mean, if that is okay with the student," Nezu said. "I'm already ahead of you," Hawks said, "I'll see you guys soon." Hawks opened the door of which Naomi got nearly killed out of and disappeared. Aizawa had his scarf around her left hand, just in case the same incident happened again. "Now that was an amazing exit," Nezu applauded, "What do you think Naomi?" "I think it was too flashy," Naomi said, "beside what if there was another plane or flying object in the sky. He would have a late reflex and possibly get hurt by whatever was in the air." Aizawa and Nezu looked at each other with a promising look on their faces. "Well, Naomi," Aizawa said, "Welcome to UA."
