'Hie chat.' Rae waved at her the camera. It wasn't fun this way. Not even at all. She always prepared herself for this scenario. She did always awaited the day her break-up would be viral and was thankful it wasn't.

And now here she was.

Trying to tell 105k people live on her stream that her shitty ass of her boyfriend not only cheated on her, but also blamed it entirely on her.

The chats started with their questions, and she knew they were demanding answers, something she wasn't sure how to talk about. Until the moment, Rae never realized how her life isn't as private and silent as it would be. And how she owed these people her truth, when rightfully, she didn't.

It was very complicated.

Be a streamer, they said, it would be fun, they said.

'Hey.' She said, gulping, finding those stupid tears hitting her again. 'Yes. I read all the tweets, all the hashtags. Yes. All the rumors are true.' She said, pulling her beanie over her disheveled hair, patting Mika as he sat on her lap.

Mika could sense Rae's downhill mood and hadn't left her for a second the previous day and today.

'Xavier and I broke up 6 months back not because of a mutual thing.' She said, holding herself, trying to not read the chat lest she sees something negative. 'He... he cheat... cheated on me. Yea.' She chuckled humorlessly, sitting back as everyone poured in their concern.

'I am not going to go in detail, because it's not worth it.' She shrugged, gulping the pain. 'And why didn't I disclose this before?' She said reading the chat, 'Because I didn't wanna spill this out. I never really wanted this thing to be known.' She sighed, holding her head. 'It's not fun to be cheated on, you guys. And I didn't want any sympathy or any limelight.'

She took another minute silent break as she gazed on the chat screen, her eyes scanning through the chats.

Rae chuckled, wiping the corner of her eye as she read all comments from all her streamer community.

'You guys!' Rae cooed, hiding her face as Mika got off and licked her hand, asking whether she was okay. Rae took her hand off, and Mika sniffed her face as she smiled at everyone cheering her up.

'How can you'll support me?' Rae read the chat, 'Please stop talking about it. Like I don't... it's so... it's been very difficult for me. These last six months. I've been...' she took a deep breath. 'I just really would love it if you guys could just forget this happened.' Rae requested, almost knowing that's pretty impossible but she had to try. 'Don't bother Xavier about it. Don't bother me. Just. I, just let it go.'

She ended the stream soon, hoping everyone would cooperate and her mind would be off this thing too. Her head ached as she took the beanie off her head and wiped her tears.

'Hey?' Janet knocked on the door, hot mug of chocolate in her hand, 'A hug and a mug?'

Rae nodded, pouting. 'Yes please.' She raised her hands towards Janet and she soon engulfed the crying girl in her arms, comforting her.

'You sure you wanna not come here?' Imane asked as Rae shook her head. 'Boo, things would get better here?'

Things were getting worse. The four days where Rae was with tournament was the only good thing that happened to her. The very next day she broke James's heart, and the following week her controversy about her break-up surfaced the internet.

How did anyone know was a mystery.

But this entire week was just a plain headache and heartache for the girl.

'Imane, I cannot keep running away.' Rae said, being conforted by Janet's warm arms. 'And then, we had this coming right?'

Janet sighed, as she kept her head on Rae's shoulder and Rae held her back, Imane examining the depressed Rae from the laptop screen. 'You sure Rae?' She asked, concerned.

'Sure about what?'

'Sure that you don't wanna come to Washington to us?' Imane asked, tilting her head. 'Is it work or just something else?'

Rae gulped, shaking her head. 'Imane, please. It's nothing. I really have a lot of pending work.' She spoke, half lying, 'And then there's this 100 Thieves video collab next month. So I have to head back to the content house too. And have a lot of videos to work on.'

Imane let go of the subject, clearly sussing Rae and Janet nodded to Imane to signal her to not keep pushing the frustrated sad girl and the matter died.

What Rae didn't wanna say is that Washington wasn't some place she wanted to go right now.

Because, Washington meant Alex, and Alex meant James and she had no strength to face that man right now.

Not after that letter he sent.

Especially that letter, Rae sighed, why did she read it.

Because it only made her all the more miserable.
