A/N
There will come a day when I'll explode and I'll go into hiding and you will not find me. I'll just run away somewhere.
Remember these daily and double updates during those times.
Remember me.
And smile, and say,
BABUSHKA!

'Rachel? I have to talk to you. Do you have like a minute?'
Rae looked at James, the all dressed up James, with his formals and his hair all done. And then she looked at herself, hair all undone, lose pyjamas and a hot coffee mug in hand.
'What time is it?' She asked him, seated at the dining table watching James confront her.
'It's 8 in the morning.' He replied, unsure of where Rae was actually heading.
'Yea.' Rae said, practically groaning, 'It's 8 in the morning, James. And you look like you're ready to take over the world.' She commented, sipping her hot coffee and James smiled.
'You don't... don't look bad either.' James shrugged, pointing at her with his hand.
All Rae did to that was narrow her eyes at the tall figure. 'Please.' She said holding her hot mug with both hands, warming them. 'What do you have to say to me?' She asked, sleepily.
James rubbed his hand over the side of his neck, 'Can we talk over at the balcony? It's um, something personal.'
Something personal?
Rae furrowed her brows, as James walked towards the balcony and opened the windows while stepping out and Rae followed suit. She didn't know why or what, but all she knew was that this is too early for human interactions.
She stood in front of James, the sturdy six feet guy who looked weirdly confident and determined. He had rolled his sleeves than buttoned them for a change and his eyes had been looking down at hers ever since. She then averted her gaze to the beautiful morning view which the apartment overlooked, giving James a little more time to hold up the dead conversation. He was still eyeing her and unable to speak.
'What's up?' Rae asked, clearly feeling uncomfortable by the silence.
'Alright.' James said, taking a deep breath. 'I have to say this.'
'Say what?' She asked, bringing her mug to her lips.
'Hear me out. Okay.' He said, taking a step closer as Rae inadvertently took a step back. 'I've been fighting this feeling since a long time now. Pretty much the very first time we met. And I know, we are two different set of individuals, especially you being a streamer and me...'
'What feeling?' Rae pitched in, now impatient, ignoring his streamer remark.
'I've, I... it's...' James gulped, as Rae kept her intense confused gaze on him. 'I like you. Liked you ever since. You've been running on my mind constantly for the last few weeks, I think a month. And I just couldn't go about without letting you know that I wish to ask you out, someday.'
Rae was taken aback. She was completely blank as she stared at the man in front of him, awaiting her response.
James Tran. Likes her?
What.
'I am sorry what?' She asked, holding a hot cup of coffee, her long hair all messily left open and she was still in her pyjamas.
James gulped, looking down at the girl who looked like she just escaped a zombie apocalypse, compared to his neatly done hair and iron pressed formals.
'I like you. Really like you.' James said.
'That I got.' Rae replied, holding her head. 'But... what...wh...how... why?' She was out of words. 'I mean, what?'
'What do you mean by what?' James asked, confused on such a response. As far as he knew it was either a yes or no.
'I mean, what the actual fuck.'
James took a step back, 'I'm sorry?'
'No.' Rae shook her head, already frustrated by having to deal with this first thing in the morning. 'I am sorry, if I have ever given you wrong signs. Because, I don't like you.' She didn't even hide her actual cringing face. 'Like not even at all.'
James sternly looked at her, a little difficult for him to comprehend the rejection with the insult. 'May I ask why?' He interjected, bravely.
'Why?' Rae scoffed, keeping the coffee mug aside on the table. 'You really don't know why?'
'No. I don't.' James spoke, the soft voice replaced with a cold stern one. 'And, I'd like to know what I did to deserve such a refrained reaction. A simple no would have sufficed.'
Rae took a deep breath, 'Can you blame me though? I mean, you have legit been such a moody, off beat and a rude person right from the moment I've first known about you.' She stated, her wrath taking hold of her as James heard her without interrupting. 'And your lack of respect towards streamers is one of the main reasons, why I reacted that way. I mean, I understand you not getting what we do for a living but mocking and making fun of people who stream, behind their fucking back is not cool.' She said, angry and just done with this guy.
'When did I?' James asked, holding back his anger.
'After the first time we came to Sykkuno's house. I heard you. Not just mocking my friends, even me. And not just once. Okay.' She said, her breathing getting rapid. 'And after your disdain towards streaming and streamers in general, how the fuck can you even think I'd agree to go out with you?'
James clenched his jaw, his hands fisted as he refused from getting more involved than this. 'So that is why? Is that all?'
'You know that's not all right.' Rae said, shaking her head. 'This is about Sykkuno too.'
James furrowed his brow, tilting his head as he eyed the furious girl. 'What about him?'
'I know what you did to him. How you just threw him away from your life. How he literally became so self conscious and insecure and lagging for support because you never did. You disrespected his decision to be something different. You didn't stand up for him. You separated from the family and had the audacity to blame everything on him?' Rae gulped, as she pointed her finger at the man. 'You, the one who cannot even respect his own twin, or his life, how do you even expect that you and I can even have a future?' She chuckled humorlessly, 'Honestly. I wouldn't date you even if you're the last man alive.'
James and Rae watched each other intently, clearly everything they had kept from each other was out and it had to be done.
'So this is what you think about me?' James asked, softly as he took another step back.
Rae met his black eyes, nodding. 'Do you deny anything I said?' She asked, folding her arms across her chest.
James gulped, shaking his head and held himself as he let the cold demeanor overtake the soft one. 'Thank you for your time, apologies for this and wishing you good luck.' He said, hurt reflecting clearly on his prideful face.
With that, James left the room, leaving Rae to sigh back and hold her coffee mug over her head.

'Alright Sykkuno, this has been great!' Rae said, smiling as she hugged Sykkuno and Mika barked across the gate towards the car. Toast and Corpse had bid their goodbyes and were seated already as Rae bid Bimbus a goodbye. James was at a distance, around Bimbus and Mika.
She wasn't in a great mood, but she only hoped James and she would forget this all happened and move on. As much as she disliked him, she knew how painful heartbreaks were.
'Mika?' Rae called out as Mika ran towards James who was standing aside all this while, helping them pack their bags in the trunk. 'Mika?'
James patted the dog and Mika ran back to Rae and while Sykkuno spoke to Corpse and Toast, Rae met James's eyes as he forwarded his hand for a final goodbye.
Rae took his hand and instead found herself holding a piece of paper he handed her.
James walked back in, almost immediately and she examined the sheet, surprised as she read the handwritten inscription.
Some unsaid things,
James.
