chapter one
THAT 70'S SHOW
S01:E01
"Why would Brett Dunphy ask you out?" Hyde asked Babe confused, he sat next to Kelso who sat next to Babe on the couch.
The girl rolled her eyes and continued reading the Cosmopolitan magazine she was previously reading not paying much mind to him. The rest of the group present wondering the same thing.
"Because she's hot! I mean look at her!" Kelso
said making hand gestures towards the girl. "You know Babe, if you ever wa–" He couldn't finish his sentence as the girl hit him on the back of his head with her magazine, Hyde pinched his arm.
"Not gonna happen Kelso."
"Fine." He said crossing his arms over his chest with a frown, while Hyde and Donna laughed.
The sound of footsteps and loud voices echoing from above the basement where drunk adults partied. This brought the group back into an important conversation and Babe back to her magazine.
"Eric it is time," Hyde expressed seriously as he leaned forward and stared at Eric.
"Why don't you do it?" Eric retorted.
"It is your house." Hyde reminded Eric.
"Your house." Kelso repeated sternly after Hyde.
"Yeah Eric, don't be a coward." Babe piped in.
"Coward." Kelso repeated Babe's words.
"Listen to them up there. The party has reached critical mass, in ten minutes there'll be no more beer opportunities." Hyde scolded Eric, while Kelso made hand gestures behind him expressing his anger.
"If my Dad catches me copping beers, he'll kill me." Eric said scared.
"It's a price we're willing to take."
"I'm willing to take that risk."
Babe and Hyde said at the same time making a small smile appear on her lips.
"Don't worry about it. Just remain calm and keep moving," Kelso said reassuringly.
"And above all, don't get sucked into my dad's hair." Donna seriously said. Babe scrunched her nose up as she remembered what Donna had told her.
"What's wrong with your dad's hair?" Eric asked.
"Just don't look at it," Donna shuddered.
Hyde took Eric's face in his hands, forcing him to stare at him. "And Eric. Cold. Definitely cold." He told him, as Eric nodded and ran upstairs.
"Rip Eric A. Forman." Babe muttered but Donna heard her and smiled hitting her knee amused. Babe smirked at her.
"So, about going out with me..."Kelso told Babe, turning to look at her with a charming smile. Hyde punched his shoulder making him grab it in pain. Babe falsely smiled at Kelso before hitting him repeatedly with her magazine as Hyde laughed.

As the four awaited Eric's return. Hyde looked at a magazine and Kelso was mimicking an air guitar. Babe continued to read her magazine, but this time sitting in the place Donna had been before. The red head walking behind the couch.
"Check this out," Hyde said mesmerized. Kelso and Hyde stared in awe at the photo of the topless woman. Donna walked behind them and stared.
"We see that everyday." She bluntly said, tilting her head at Babe. Hyde closed the magazine, as both of the boys widened their eyes. Kelso staring repeatedly between Donna and Babe.
Footsteps were heard as Eric came running down the stairs with the beers in his hands. Babe stood up and sat back on the couch finding it more comfortable. The five friends cheered at Eric.
"He's alive!" Hyde gleefully said as Eric gave one of the beers to Donna and placing the rest on the table. He turned to Babe — who sat next to Hyde — and gave her a cocktail.
"I know you hate beer, so I grabbed this for you."
"Thanks Eric." She told him with a smile, sipping her cocktail.
"Well good news, my dad is thinking of giving me the Vista Cruiser!" Eric announced.
"You're getting a car?" Kelso asked him.
"Oooh have I ever told you how incredibly attractive you are Eric?" Donna asked jokingly.
"No." Eric said with a raised brow as he opened his beer.
"You told me he was cute." Kelso said, Babe shook her head and hid behind her cocktail in secondhand embarrassment.
"No I didn't," Donna replied nervously.
"I remember because you said not to say anything in front of Eric." He said as Eric stared at the interaction confused.
The cocktail Eric had given Babe was extremely cold and it gave her brain freeze, she clutched her forehead at the feeling. Hyde placed his hand on her thigh rubbing it lightly in comfort.
"It's not water, slow down a little Babe." He told her, as the feeling passed she glared at him but couldn't resist letting out a smile. Which made him smile and put his arm around her shoulders, and rubbed her left arm. Before taking his arm off leaning forward.
"Let's focus on what's important here people. Forman stole something. To Forman!" Hyde celebrated.
"To Forman!" The group cheered.
"You know what's sad? This is the proudest day of my life." Eric said with sadness as Hyde leaned forward and took him in a hug, as the friends laughed.

The friends sat in the basement watching some show about cheerleaders. Babe sat in one of the chairs that were laying around and Jackie, Kelso, and Eric sat on the couch, Donna sat in front of Eric on the floor.
Jackie was Kelso's girlfriend and no one in the group seemed to like her except for Babe. Seeing as the two shared a similar fashion sense, they had briefly talked about fashion together and had even went shopping one time. No one in the group knew, and Babe intended it to stay that way seeing as she knew Kelso and her wouldn't last.
"Wow Marcia, football to the face, that's got to hurt." Eric said in a high pitch voice.
"Ouch my nose!" Donna continued.
"That's gonna be huge in the morning!"
"Huger than my boobs?"
"Well bigger than the left one!"
Jackie having had enough interrupted their game. "Why are we watching this without sound? I'm totally confused!"
"Here use the earphone," Eric suggested.
"So what's the deal with the Vista Cruiser?"
"The deal is there is no deal yet," Eric replied as Jackie shushed them. Babe kept in a laugh and stared at the them while they conversed.
"How are we going to get to the concert?" Kelso asked quietly.
"Shut up!" Donna hissed.
"What concert?" Jackie took out her earphone and asked intrigued.
"Uh-h Todd Rudgren." Kelso answered nervously as Jackie stared at him.
"When?" Jackie asked him.
"This weekend." Kelso replied hesitantly.
"Oh! Who's going?" She asked innocently.
"Uh Eric, Donna, Hyde, Babe, me, and the foreign kid Fez. Pretty much everybody..." Michael trailed off. Jackie continuously nodded at Michael waiting for an invite.
"And you." He said.
"Oh! Good, good, good." Jackie replied sarcastically happy. "Thank you for telling me Michael." She angrily expressed. Babe bit her lip in anticipation at what was about to happen.
"I'm getting a soda!" Eric said, standing up.
"Yeah." Donna said standing up.
"Wait for me!" Babe shouted following Eric upstairs.
"Yeah, me too!" Kelso said desperately as Donna pushed him down back on the couch.
The three of them walked out of the basement rapidly, not wanting to be present for the fight. They all waited in front of the basement door.
"Do you think they're making out?" Eric asked as the voices got lower.
"Obviously, smartass." Babe told him with a sigh as she played with her hair in boredom.
"Okay, let's go." After a few seconds, Donna spoke. The three of them walked downstairs.
"Jackie, I guess you're going to the concert with us." Eric said awkwardly as the couple was laying together on the couch most likely not doing good things. Babe scrunched her nose up in disgust and went to turn around.
"I'm going home!" She exclaimed before hurriedly leaving the basement, she couldn't take much more of the couple.

Babe stood in the driveway, with her arms crossed as she tapped her foot annoyed with Eric as he spoke to the car as it if were a human being.
"Ever since yesterday, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. I mean I've known you practically my whole life. I want you. I want you so bad." Eric said longingly over the car.
"Eric it's a car," Donna peered over his shoulder.
"Let's just leave these two kids alone." Kelso said putting his hand on Eric's shoulder. Donna and Kelso walked away from Eric and the Cruiser, as Babe sat down in one of the chairs.
"Hey! Hey there Donna." Bob Pinciotti came up to the driveway. Eric and Babe walked over to join them.
"Hey dad!" Donna replied, avoiding looking at his hair while her father kissed her cheek in greeting.
"You kids standing around the driveway. It's so darn cute. You know you may not realize it, but this is the most fun you're ever gonna have." Bob said reminiscing.
"So it's all downhill from here sir?" Eric asked.
"Yeah." Bob said sadly.
"Yikes." Babe said to herself. As Bob walked away fixing his hair.
"What happened to your dad's hair?" Kelso asked dumbfounded.
"He got a permanent." Donna said with an amused smile.
"So that's permanent?" Kelso asked dumbfounded. Babe put her hand on his shoulder and looked at him with a false sad smile.
"It's a good thing you're cute." She told the boy, his eyes almost jumped out of their place at her words.
"You think I'm cute?" He asked her in shock, she ignored him and walked inside Eric's house. "You haven't answered my question!" He shouted behind her, as she laughed.

The friends sat in a restaurant, eating fries and spending time with each other. Hyde, Fez and Babe stood at the pinball machine, as Hyde played and Babe leaned over it. Propping her elbows on the sides of the machine.
"I may not say this right because I am new to English. But she has tremendous breasts! Yes?" He asked Hyde as he pointed at a random woman's chest. Hyde looked at her chest, as she pash by them. Babe rolled her eyes at them.
"You guys are disgusting."
"Yes, she does Fez." Hyde said with a smirk at the look on Babe's face. The girl hit his shoulder playfully, as Fez smiled in contempt.
She ignored them and went to sit down at one of the chairs at the table, just as Jackie and Donna had left to go to the bathroom. Hyde came over and sat down next to her, pulling her chair closer to him as he draped his arm around her. An action that was fairly new to her. As the boys conversed Babe started thinking about her relationship with Hyde.
They were definitely close when they were younger but as they grew up she became closer with Donna than she was with Hyde. Her relationship with Hyde had shifted from best friends to friends, mainly due to their clashing personalities.
He hated the government, she wanted to become a lawyer and one day belong to the US Congress. She wanted to explore the world, he wanted to stay in Point Place. He liked breaking the rules, she was a rule follower. The only thing they had in common was that they both hated to express their emotions, how they truly felt and were both relentlessly stubborn.
In the recent months Hyde had been casually putting his arm around her shoulders, brushing his hands against hers and rubbing her thigh unconsciously. They had also been having conversations at night, he called her phone and they talked for a long time before Babe felt tired and went to sleep. Hyde always wishing her a "Good night." It was definitely odd to her at first but she ignored it and went along with it. Now it was an usual thing for the two of them.
"Don't worry, I'm breaking up with her." Babe heard as Hyde's soft rubbing on her shoulders brought her back
to reality.
"Never gonna happen." Hyde replied. Babe nodded along, she then laid her head on his shoulder.
"It's over!" Kelso exclaimed. "She's cutting into my free time."
"You always say the same thing Kelso." Eric said while shaking his head.
"Whatever this time it's really happening."
"Whatever you say man." Hyde replied.
"It's almost 5pm and my mom will be home soon, I gotta go." Babe said as she stood up, immediately Hyde and Eric followed.
"I'll walk you home." Hyde told her, she smiled thankfully. Eric grabbed her purse and gave it to her, she ruffled his hair playfully.
"Baaabe." He groaned as he slapped her hand away. Kelso snorted.
"I bet that's what Brett Dunphy says all the time when he's with Babe." He laughed, receiving an attack of fries from Hyde and Babe. Eric sat back down embarrassed as his cheeks turned pink.
"Shut it!" Hyde told him as he grabbed Babe's hand and walked her out.
Once outside, the two laughed and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders making their way to her house. Babe decided to mess around with Hyde.
"Are my breast tremendous?" She asked innocently, turning to look at her friend. He coughed in surprise and turned to look at her.
"Is this a trap?" He asked.
"No." She replied while shaking her head seriously.
"Then hell yeah they are." He answered with a smirk, a scoff left Babe's lips. Her expression serious but in reality she was trying not to laugh.
"You're disgusting."
"It was a trap!" He exclaimed, she almost let out a laugh at his face. Yet couldn't because Hyde had picked her up and thrown her over his shoulders.
"I was just messing with you! Put me down!" She exclaimed laughing.
"I'm enjoying the view from here though." Hyde said, most definitely looking at her behind.
"Not funny." She replied with a frown.
"I'll put you down when we reach Mario's Pizzeria."
"But that's a long way from here." She gasped.
"More time for me to enjoy the view." He told her not paying much interest.
"Hyde!" She yelled, as he laughed and continued walking with a flustered Babe on shoulder.

This isn't proofread, so sorry for the errors also I'm trying to get it to be realistically as possible and by that I mean since this takes place in the pilot. The writers would have definitely given hints about a romance between them, so the last scene is a giant hint. I don't know if you guys will understand what I'm saying.
Anyways, hope you like this! Please be active, when people aren't active I lose motivation and end up not writing it. Love y'all! 💓
