Justin's POV:

I was talking to Selena when Kelsey nudged her and said; "Selena, why is your brother sending daggers at us with his eyes?" We all looked in the direction of her brother and I froze when I saw who he was. A look of fear crossed Selena's features and she dragged Kelsey away from us. "We have to go." Nobody said anything else. "Dude, she's Reed's sister?" Tyson asked after a few seconds of silence. I nodded. "Seems like that." I say. "Whoa bro, you ruined all your chances of getting the chick." he said, patting my back like he was pitying me. "Shut up. I'm not even interested in her." I snorted, slapping his hand away. "And anyways, I doubt he's told her about what happened." I added. "He better not tell her. We have a deal and he knows what happens if he breaks it." he said. "Yeah, yeah." I said nonchalantly, not wanting to remember about it at the moment. I looked around for Jaxon to leave this boring thing as soon as possible but instead of him, I spotted Selena with her brother, who was yelling at her with a fuming expression. I bet he's telling her to stay away from me. For a second, she looked my way and our gazes met but she quickly looked back at her brother. They seem to have a great relationship- sarcasm. I kept looking for Jaxon and I found him talking to some other kids and who looked to be the coach. I started walking towards them with Tyson following behind. "Jaxon, we have to leave." I said, switching my tone to a nice one and aiming to take his little hand. "You're Jaxon's Dad?" the man who seemed to be the coach asked me. "No. I'm his Brother." For a minute, I imagined me having a kid at 19. I shuddered, even though I act almost like a father to Jaxon since my Dad is not here. "Oh okay, I was thinking you were too young." he laughed stupidly and I tried to laugh along but it sounded pretty fake. "Your brother is great, one of the best of the team." he said happily, high-fiving Jaxon. This man was too cheery to my liking. Jaxon giggled and I just thanked him before shaking his hand and leaving with my brother and Tyson. In our way to – guess where – the subway station, I caught a glimpse of Selena wiping under her eye. Her brother is a prick, I bet he made her cry. "I met Selena's friend, Kelsey." Jaxon spoke when we were already inside the subway car. "She was very nice." he said. "Tell Tyson, he seemed to like her." I chuckled. "The chick was hot." he shrugged. Then my pocket vibrated indicating I had a new text message.
Come to my house later? I'm alone ;)
"Lemme guess.. it's Alejandra again, right?" Tyson peeked over my shoulder to see the text. "She's so whipped man, you got her wrapped around your little finger." I quickly sent a response.
Sure, I'll be there at 6ish.
I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess so. She's pretty annoying though." I didn't want to get into details when my little brother was there. "Selena is more beautiful than Alejandra." he stated, folding his arms. We laughed. "The kid knows, no doubt he's your brother." saif Tyson.

Selena's POV:

I sat on my bed looking at the window. The city was shining with the million of lights of every colour that characterize New York everyday when the sun goes down. For tourists, it's a beautiful sight. For us who live here, it's just something we're used to see so it doesn't call our attention. But right now, I was taking into every piece of beauty displaying before my eyes. It's been a week since Tommy's game and a week since I last talked to Justin. My dear brother Ryan came with me every single day to pick Tommy up from practice and locked me in the car so I couldn't go out and talk to Justin. I saw him from inside the car and he looked at me with a knowing expression. I seemed to be the only one that didn't know the secret. As much as I begged Ryan to tell me, he wouldn't speak. I finally opted for going out with Nate or Kelsey instead of going to pick Tommy. I know he felt bad but I couldn't stand Ryan anymore. Good thing is he's gone now. He had to go back to University and he won't be able to stop me from talking to whoever I please again. It's not that I desperately want to talk to Justin.. but I want to be free.

"So your brother is finally gone?" Nate asked, taking a book out of his locker and putting it inside his bag. "Yeah." I beamed with a happy voice. "Does that mean you'll be busy every afternoon again?" he asked pouting. I giggled. "You can come with me to pick my brother but it's not very exciting." he chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow then." he leaned down to peck my lips but I slid my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. He smirked against it until we were interrupted. "Sorry to interrupt but I'm ready to go Nate." Natasha's voice rang in my ears, making me pull away with an annoyed expression. "What?" I asked. "Oh, we're neighbors. You didn't know?" she asked, furrowing her perfect-shaped eyebrows. I looked at Nate. "No I didn't." I said. "I just found out yesterday." he said, lifting his hands in surrender. "Oh okay." I ignored the strange feeling that was settling in my stomach and thought about Natasha, my best friend and Nate, my hopefully-soon-to-be-boyfriend. They wouldn't be hiding anything from me. I'm just paranoid. Nate pecked my lips once again and Natasha waved her hand like Sharpay from High School Musical before they disappeared together down the hallway to the parking lot. I went to my locker and put all my books inside since I didn't have any homework. I walked to my car and quickly got inside, pulling off to the busy streets of New York. I made it to the soccer field in about half an hour due to the traffic and by then, the kids were already outside. "Sorry I'm late Tommy, there was so much traffic." I said pecking his cheek and tying my hair into a low ponytail. "It's okay, Justin said he'd wait with me until you came." he smiled. I flashed a smile at Justin. "Thank you." I said. "It's aight." he shrugged, like he hadn't done me a favour. I silently giggled at his attitude. "Do you want a ride in return?" I asked awkwardly, knowing that I shouldn't be doing this. I wasn't doing it just to return the favour, but to try to get some information about what my brother was hiding. "But you're not allowed to go to my district.." he said confused, but a smirk spread across his face when he realized that I was gonna break my parents rule. "Tommy and I will keep it a secret, right?" I kneeled down next to my brother. "Because Jaxon is your friend." I know I was kind of blackmailing my brother, but it was for the sake of other children so in the end, I was doing a good deed. "Yes." he replied, nodding feverishly. We started walking to my car and Justin came by my side. "Are you sure Selena? I mean, your parents are right when they say it's a dangerous zone." he asked, unsure. "I know.. but last time nothing happened. Besides, aren't you like the only white boy in that place? I'm sure everyone knows you so when they see I'm with you, they won't hurt me." I said, proud with my answer. Justin chuckled. "You've seen way too many movies." he shook his head. I started the car once we were all buckled inside and watched as Justin caressed the seats and looked around him like a kid in a toy store. "This car is amazing. You need to let me drive it sometime." he smiled, staring at me. I quickly switched my gaze from the road to him. "Ha, no way." I focused on the road again. There wasn't so much traffic in this zone. "You will. Just give me time to win you over." he said winking. "Wait sitting." I said. The kids were entertained by talking about their things in the back seat so I took advantage of the moment to try and get Justin to tell me something about the secret; that's how I decided to call it. "So, you know my brother Ryan?" I asked, not removing my eyes from the car ahead. "It's a long story." he sighed. "Everybody tells me that but nobody explains what the hell it is about." I spat irritated. "It's not up to me to tell you." he hissed, clearly getting frustrated. I didn't reply. I was gonna find out sooner or later, one way or another. "Are you mad?" Justin asked, after a few minutes of awkward silence. "No." I said, still looking ahead of me. We were now entering the Bronx. You could tell because everything changed dramatically. From the people to the houses, the stores, the graffiti on the walls.. it all gave you an eerie feeling. "Why are there sneakers hanging from the cables?" I asked, curiously bending my head so I could look up to the sky from my window. "They mean there's a drug dealer around." Justin said like he had said 'I'm going to the bakery' instead. I stared at him in disbelief. "What?" I exclaimed horrified. "Don't the police know about it and do something?" he snickered. "The police are afraid to come here. That's why there're drugs, murders, fights and every crime you can imagine here and people never get caught." he whispered the last part closer to my face. I swallowed hard. "That's scary. Now I'm not coming here ever again." I tightened my grip on the steering wheel and gazed around me, suddenly finding everything ten times more frightening. Justin, on the other hand, was laughing at my reaction. He took a pack from his pocket and slid out a cigarette. "Ah no. You're not smoking in my car." I ordered with a stern face so he would take me seriously. "Fine." he said in a bitchy tone. "You're no fun, Princess." he said. "I just hate the smell.. and I am fun." I stated annoyed but inwardly, smiled at the fact that he had called me Princess again. "Really? What do you do to have fun?" by the tone of his voice, I could tell he was amused. "I go to parties-" I was gonna go on with my list of fun things when he cut me off. "And what do you drink? Coke? Oh wait or maybe champagne and you have a guy playing Mozart in the background." By that time, Justin was cracking up and his laughter was contagious. "Shut up. Mozart is awesome." I pretended to be offended but failed when I broke into laughter with him. "I can't believe you just said that. I should kill you for it." he said between laughs and slid his hand in his pocket. For a moment I thought he was gonna take a gun out. My eyes widened and my mouth hung open in horror. He must have seen my expression because he started laughing harder. "Y-you thought I was gonna k-kill you." I said between laughters. "Oh my gosh, stop Justin. I-I can't breathe." I wiped my eyes that were beginning to tear due to the laughing. From the rearview mirror, I caught Jaxon and Tommy exchanging weird glances but when they saw me, they got back to talking like nothing had happened. I looked at Justin and he was wiping his eyes as well. I must say, he looks adorable when he laughs. "I hadn't laughed so much since a pigeon shited on Tyson's head." he admitted. "Ew." I made a disgusted face and kept driving. "But seriously, you need to go to a real party." Justin said, going back to the initial topic of our conversation. "I don't think I would fit in with one of the parties you go to. We're here by the way." I said, parking near his house. The same group of boys from the other day were there but there were also a few girls this time. "Thanks for the ride, Princess." Justin unbuckled his belt and leaned closer pecking my cheek, maybe too near my mouth but I won't complain. I blushed a little but hid it with my hair. "No problem." I smiled. Then Justin got out and took Jaxon, walking to the group of guys. One of them, who I recognized as Tyson, came to my window and I rolled it down so he could talk. "Hey Selena." he said. "Kelsey's not here if it's what you came for." I smiled knowingly. "What? Can't I just come to say hello to my new white friend?" he brought a hand to his chest, pretending to be offended. "Whatever floats your boat." I said giggling. Then I narrowed my eyes at Justin, who had a girl clung around his neck who soon kissed him. "Who's that girl?" I asked Tyson, keeping my gaze on them and regretting it when I saw tongues coming in and out their mouths. "Oh that's Alejandra. The chick is like in love with Justin but he only wants her because she's a good fuck. We all know that." he shrugged nonchalantly and chuckled at the end. I flinched at his choice of words. "I didn't need so many details." I said. "I'll see you around Selena. Tell Kelsey I say hi." he brought two fingers to his forehead and then pointed them at me as a salute. "I will. Bye Tyson." I waved my hand – like normal people do to say bye – and pulled off the street to head back home. But, unfortunately, before I was outside of Justin's street I saw a pair of sneakers hanging from a cable. Does that mean Justin's a drug dealer?

Justin's POV:

"Jaxon, go home okay? I'll be there in a second." I patted his head as soon as we were out of Selena's car. He nodded and opened the door to our building, disappearing inside. Before I could do anything else, Alejandra came dancing to me and clung her arms around my neck kissing me full on the mouth. It took me a second to react but I kissed back, holding her ass. The guys made gagging sounds and I pulled Alejandra away, making her pout. I hate it when she acts like we're a couple. "Man, Selena has a nice car." Tyson said nodding, watching as it pulled down the street. "Who's Selena?" Alejandra intervened, hands on her hips. "None of your business." I spat. The chick can be so nosy. Tyson brought a fist to his mouth to keep himself from laughing at her. Let's say he doesn't like her very much. Actually, he left a second later and joined the other guys that were smoking. That reminded me.. I needed a cigarette since Selena hadn't let me smoke in her car. "Don't you notice something different in me baby?" Alejandra switched on her happy mode again, forgetting how rude I was to her a second ago. "Should I?" I asked, rasing my left brow. "I got my hair cut you fool." she slapped my arm playfully. "Oh yes, how cool." I said hoping she'd leave me alone. I wasn't in the mood for her clinginess. Luckily to me, Tyson and Mike came running towards me. "Man we have some business to do. Now." they tell me.
